Gale Wings defines the Talonflame line in terms of competitiveness alone. There's a few things to consider, including Flame Body. - Fletchinder gets Roost by level up at level 25. Priority Healing due to the Gaie Wings - at level 44 Talonflame gets Acrobatics, which is an incredibly powerful physical move if you run your Talonflame without an item - this happens much more often in story playthroughs than it does in competitive play. Again, Priority, due to being a Flying Type with Gale Wings. - at level 39 gets Flame Charge, which isn't terribly powerful, but boosts it's speed after each use - Serra, the gym leader that would suffer the most due to Talonflame being made available earlier in the game, allows the player to have Pokémon up to level -50- for use, which means Talonflame will have access to all three of those moves. Abomasnow is probably not going to be able to TAKE a Flame Charge. It's -because- some Pokémon have a potential to be game breaking that Gym Leaders have a few options to counter potential threats. For example, the best way to go about dealing with Cloyster is to hit it hard with a Special Electric type attack, which would also hinder Lapras. Avalugg is best taken care of by breaking sturdy and then hitting it hard with a Fighting type attack (in my opinion) Talonflame has no trouble with the remaining -half- of her team. It's also worth mentioning that Flame Body Talonflame is a boon to egg hatching, and whenever the hell Fly is a thing, Talonflame will probably be the go-to incubator. Even without fly, this is an option as Talonflame is truly a somewhat decent Pokémon with Flame Body

Tynamo is definitely a Pokémon that would see more use if found much earlier, it's also a Pokémon that currently I feel is a viable alternative to Manectric after getting it to Eelektross. Levitate is a pretty valuable ability on an Electric-type Pokémon - the question Tynamo draws however, is how the AI will approach it. If it's instinctively going for Ground Type Moves too often, Tynamo might be too good early on. --- I also would love to see more trades in the game in general. I like the tiered starter idea as well. Taking Blaziken, Chimchar, Mudkip, Froakie, Bulbasaurand Turtwig?/Chespin? could result in a harder starting experience such as getting mugged for a quarter of your starting cash (with the opportunity to hunt it down a la Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door) and limited trade options. Taking middle tier starters results in the opportunity for held items to show up earlier, along with avoiding misfortunes such as getting mugged. Taking things like Chikorita, Treecko, Totodile, Squirtle, Charmander, and Fennekin would result in held items showing up early, increased earnings in some trainers, maybe the occasional trade opportunity as a service for picking a lower tier starter. Of course, we would have to thoroughly discern which starters are which tier (Example - Totodile gets the incredible ability Sheer Force, but no stab physical Water move until level SIXTY)

Pokémon previously caught are not removed from your team or boxes - they just won't be found previously where they were before.

Yes, Dr. Connal is Dr. Connal.

In game you is completely relevant you modest f-.....you. <3 Also, completely irrelevant, in my own canon one of the Meteor Grunt's last name is Weiss.

There are WINGS and VIT-I-MINS out in them streets. Money is not really much of an object.

If that's the case that's not -too- far off. I'm not the most knowledgeable off the top of my head.

    - Sandile Yeah, yeah, I know...I have a real heart for the Krookodile line and it's -VERY- good, but my problem with Sandile is that the earliest it seems you can obtain one is Tanzan Moutain...which means you don't go the through the -struggle- of TRAINING Sandile in order to achieve Krookodile. If I were to have it moved, I consider a slight chance on Apophyll Beach - the coloration matches the ashen beach to an extent, and it won't help you much against Kiki's team. The question to be asked is, could it potentially be a boon for Aya? - and not all of her team is exactly going to lie down just because Krokorok/Krookodile is a ground type. I submit this pokemon to be moved due to the fact that training it is seemingly -too- easy and it can immediately pay off by flattening most of the Meteors pre-Noel. The only major risk this poses is the Aya fight. - Part of me thinks there should be a sort of event for Pokémon like Shuppet in the city, perhaps post Julia to maintain what dignity she has. Unless Ame is content with there being no ghost types there for a while. It's okay. - ZUBAT The Bat has a CRAP ton of Potential, but it's not a crobat until it's Friendship is high enough, and there are places we can put it -post- Florinia if we need to (like the Rhindocrine caves, or the Beryl Cave) - waiting until the Wasteland for Zubat seems rather obscene to me, but there must have been a reason it was moved.
  9. Ghost Tree is much better than Jack-o-Lantern Harvest does absolute wonders for it as a wall. Looking at Tiers alone Trevenant is a healthy UnderUsed Pokémon, while Gourgeist is a NU Pokémon who can choose from either scouting your opponent's held item, being unable to be put to sleep (which happens anyway if by a powder move) and being able to randomly pick up items outside of battle.
  10. Mike...Manaphy isn't underrated...it's in OU for a reason....It's just terrible until you Tail Glow. ...and M-Pinsir isn't disrespected in the circles -I- hang out in either.
  11. This is the Pokémon Fan Club, so I would assume underrated would be underrated in general. There's lots of Pokémon that are underrated in general, and too many to count, but I would like to submit Crobat as well During a story campaign in the later games, Crobat eliminates the need for a steel type Pokémon completely, unless you like that sort of thing. All around, it's super fast, and given a choice band in competitive play it can cause some serious pain. It also can be used as a pivot and defogger.
  12. @ Qaaz It's mostly the design, but the argument can be made that I like the Three Musketeers more than I like their supposed leader too for the sake of not being "the three" Musketeers when the forth is around. The group doesn't strike -me- as needing a leader. @ Gaunt Cobalion and Virizion are indeed not very strong in terms of legendaries over all, I can give you that one - but they both have their own unique niche in competitive play in lower tiers, and contrary to your explanation for not liking the Pokémon, both can be very threatening - under the right circumstances. Cobalion is a defensive Pokémon with the ability to set up rocks -and- Volt Switch out to another Pokémon. Virizion has pretty even (and decent) Attack and Special Attack stats, as well as access to Calm Mind -and- Swords Dance, with a healthy plethora of moves to choose from. (Sacred Sword, Close Combat, Zen Headbutt, Hidden Power, Focus Blast, Synthesis, Giga Drain, Leaf Blade, Substitute)...this gives Virizion the ability to potentially surprise opponents, and if anything that counters it is out of the way, it has a very good potential of sweeping the opposing team. Both however, are not nearly as good as Terrakion, which is why they don't see as much use.
  13. Huh..... - Keldeo The Swords of Justice were FINE at three. This thing didn't even need to exist to begin with. However, what seals the deal for Keldeo is that it looks way too similar to something that you would see in 'My Little Pony' - to the point where it doesn't feel like a Pokémon so much as it does an attempt at capitalizing on another franchise's success Keldeo is a fantastic 'mon competitively though and is capable of breaking your opponents walls without the fear of getting burned due to being a special attacker. It's uses have begun to salvage this one from the blacklist. - Xerneas The design is literally a deer, nothing too original to be in awe of. It's a Fairy type, which means it has an uphill to climb from the onset, and Geomancy makes this thing difficult to get rid of and feels like a cheap boost on a Pokémon with great stats and typing when using it. It's probably the ONLY remote check/counter....thing to M-Rayquaza, but that isn't going to make it better for me. - Heatran This thing......legitimately looks like flaming excrement with a quarter for a face. It's a PLAGUE in OverUsed, able to check opposing Fires and Fairies as well as pivot right out, and it's not a Pokémon I've had a lot of emotional ties with ....well at all due to being a Gen 4 legendary. Dishonorable Mentions: Landorus-T (plague to OU again, only not cool Therian form), Manaphy (You -KNOW- this thing wants to Tail Glow, it's not that hard to get rid of), Jirachi (It's Hax if it DOESN'T happen - shofu), Darkrai (This thing is just corny...)
  14. Actually, Slowbro is a fantastic mon to investigate Regular AND Mega, just like Sableye.
  15. Huh. - Claire (Dragon leader, Johto) - Any Battle Girl found in Hoenn. - Korinna?....(Fighting leader, Kalos, also Mega Evolution Successor because Fighting Gym Leaders are friggen BOSSES) - Karen (Dark Elite Four Member, Johto) - Lorelei?? (Ice Elite Four Member, Kanto) - Any femme-Veteran found in Kalos (the two that come to mind are the "love sucks" trainer with the Tyrantrum, and the Essentia hologram during the Looker Missions) Reborn is too easy - I'd be MYSELF. #GruntLife Ame's not a PHONY like Titania is. (right.....RIGHT?......)
  16. That would explain a little bit too as it's easy to be critical of one's self - but while we are similar in type preference, Victoria and I don't see eye to eye as individuals.
  17. Fern - Absolutely nails the rival you just want to kick the crap out of every time he's on-screen. Cain - ...is pretty much his own breed. His humor is geared to older audiences and thus isn't relatable to a main series rival in any way. This isn't a bad thing. Victoria - has absolutely NOTHING going for her whatsoever. In general, Reborn has great -characters-, but suffers a bit in the battle department due to the rivals being to an extent type themed. Victoria never has this rectified (nor does she develop as a character) - but Cain and Fern make up for it in spades by adding different Pokémon to the rotation. The type themes kind of give off the impression that rivals are able to be trifled with, thus making them not so much major obstacles, even though that's....again, Victoria's only purpose to date. I don't like Victoria, okay?
  18. I think I've decided to just use this guide for reference as I am pretty bad at coming up with my own checks and counters. Friendly reminder here, make sure your checks and counters are Pokémon that can be used in the tier - and I would strongly recommend that the Pokémon are viable on standard teams in the tier to begin with. Vince made me remember with his Staraptor counter. He isn't being too outlandish, as Raptor is a healthy Borderline Pokémon (at least, it was the last time I checked...) and therefore really isn't not viable. Also, Checks are things that are at risk upon being switched in by the convict, but are able to force the opponent out or will KO the convict if brought in safely. Counters completely place the convict in a pickle, being able to always pressure the convict even on risky switch ins. I -will- however, nominate every week. For OverUsed, I would like to see Azumarill, Keldeo, or Manaphy receive a court summons. Water is a very common type across the board, and there are plenty of aquatic weapons to choose from in the most popular tier. and for Underused, I would like to see Infernape or Empoleon brought on trial. Sinnoh starters play some pretty critical roles here, and in their respective niches, they do a fantastic job.
  19. Man, the only Reborn desktop background I would use is one of In-game me.

((I haven't played the game. SO uh... yea...))

    3. Amethyst

      Amethyst

It's just coincidence that I named a grunt Hilda and then someone named Hilda joined. Although changing the team was really not remotely comparable to 'bending over backwards' it took like five minutes lol

    4. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Well yea I would figure that code fro that would be super easy lol. It is cool none the less though that that kind of a happy accident just sorta happened lol.

  20. I'm most definitely a Genwunner (and I'm 24, I don't have a reason not to be.) My first Pokémon was Charmander, because 5 year old Hilda was of the strong belief that you absolutely HAD to pick the Pokémon on the box. (Back in -my- day they didn't put the game's LEGENDARY on the box - they put a STARTER pokemon on the box *granny voice*)
  21. MORE PLEEEASE. I like changing my avatar picture a lot....It's unhealthy.
  22. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Give me a 3D Zelda without Zelda, Ganon, Hyrule, friggen NAVI, and make it one of the coolest games to straight THEORIZE over.2. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - For those of you that don't know, Paper Mario is the spiritual spin off successor to Super Mario RPG, and the timed hits and stylish points gave the player absolute control in the instanced fights. Paper Mario is my favorite perspective of the iconic plumber, and like Majora, it takes Mario out of his original domain and pairs him with some different locales, people, scenery, bosses, and partners. Rogueport is an overworld hub that is absolutely beautiful in it's plain and hard appearance. 3. Conker's Bad Fur Day - Kids, this one isn't safe for you guys....if you're an obnoxious no good adult and you enjoy collect-a-thons like BanjoKazooieTooieNuts and-...okay we don't mention that last one, then Conker's is one you will want to pick up. The dialogue is absolutely filthy, the innocence Conker from Diddy Kong Racing had was stripped away for what was yesteryear's version of 'Happy Tree Friends', and the whole experience is just distasteful....and oooooh so satisfying. I never said I was an angel. 4. EarthBound - Another one of those RPGs that is so much more than what meets the eye. This is the home of the Smash character 'Ness'....for those of you that didn't know.....(I know, there are some people, weird huh?) 5 - Donkey Kong 64 - See: Rare, DK Rap
  23. I guess I went with central locations....I'll go with my favorite areas here. 10 - Ruins of Alph, Johto - I know, I know....different strokes for different folks. Unown is the biggest waste of time collect-a-thon in all of Pokémon History....and yet, solving the puzzles and delving into the ruins to get all 28 forms was satisfying and the earliest trivial achievement I was able to reach besides beating the story mode before 'catching them all' in Gen 3. I liked messing around with the PokeGear here, as well as solving the puzzles. Adventure....YEAH... 9 - Route 10, Unova - This original throughway to Victory Road is home to the Pokémon Reborn title theme (well....the track before Glitch's remix anyway, details) and is made memorable by the fact that it was inaccessible in Black and White 2. Arguably home to the best route theme in the series. 8 - Tohjo Falls, Johto/Kanto - This massive cavernous area is the gateway between the Johto and Kanto regions. In order to reach the Indigo Plateau, the player had to back track from Blackthorn to....back home to New Bark Town, where the newly accessible Waterfall TM would be put to use in order to reach the falls. 7 - Mt. Pyre, Hoenn - It may just be a cheap re-skin of Pokémon Tower, but it's the nicer, more elaborate Pokémon resting place of the Hoenn region. Chasing Team Magma up this labyrinth of lost and encountering the new-age Channelers (Hex Maniacs) was a pretty neat adage to Lavender Town in a completely different spot of the Pokémon globe. 6 - The Badlands, Kalos - This is a shocking selection, because this is home of Dugtrio and Trapinch in the region...two pokemon that boast the ability Arena Trap, which was a real pain during story runs when all you wanted to do was travel from point A to point B. However, the pokemon selection was unique and offered you some nice Ground types for your team, including Gible, if Garchomp strikes your fancy (It doesn't for me, but whatever)...this is the place you must level up your Magneton in order for it to evolve into Magnezone in the Kalos region, and the pokemon selection could give Magneton trouble if it's lower leveled. A nice trade-off. 5 - The Strange House, Unova - As someone who hasn't played any Sinnoh based Pokémon title, I had to learn somewhere else about Darkrai and Cresselia. The Strange House located east of Lentimas Town is that place for me, and it's the fifth generations version of the customary human ghost story by this point. For those of you inquisitive Black White 1 players, you may have interacted with a lass on the Marvelous Bridge who....just disappears in thin air, surprising both you and the bystander next to the spot she was standing. This girl returns in Black and White 2, playing a central role in the Strange House as, you guessed it, a ghost. Her cause of death however is revealed vaguely through her dialogue. Nightmares. 4 - Mirage Island (R/S/E), Hoenn - Yep, I was someone who found the fabled island. It was an accomplishment, but as far as completionist standards go, I absolutely conquered Ruby version. 3 - Secret Base (ORAS), Hoenn Currently, my base is one of my proudest accomplishments in ORAS. It houses Mael, Kam, Ame (<3), and myself. It's initially dark upon entry due to the old lamp being turned off, and it is a nice little ascent to my spawn area where you encounter my Secret Pals along the way. Also...nobody is touching my Boppoyama record of 34 punches. Nobody. 2 - Celestial Tower, Unova This is where I encountered Litwick, one of my favorite primary evolution Pokémon. It's a long winding spiral to the top where a bell awaits for the player to chime. Perhaps my favorite reason this -also cheap knock off Pokémon Tower- is my favorite of the bunch is because it's out of the way and not too much of a part of the story. There's no out of place Marowak spirit attacking us. There's no grueling ascent up a HUGE mountain, and it's not as scary as the other places....(okay, Hilda doesn't like "scary" alright.....Ima big chicken.) 1 - the peak of Mt. Silver, Johto/the Pokémon World Tournament "I wanna be, the very best~ that no one ever was~..." This one was too close to call, and both areas are, during their times, the ultimate proving ground against the world's icons. My completionist exclamation point was to beat Red on Mt. Silver in Gen II (IV) and be the champion of every possible tournament option, defeating everyone that stood in my path, once again including Red. I like winning.
