  1. Might pop into the server to join y'all for this, we'll see. Most of the time I'm on after 9PM, though, so I'll probably miss half of the movie or something. Not that I haven't already seen all of them bar like... the three newest ones or something. Multiple times.
  2. Let's see... Arcanine- I'd use Thunder Fang over Flamethrower? Otherwise, good. Manectric- This thing has a terrible level-up learnset. I'd swap Electric Terrain with something else, maybe Fire Fang? Otherwise, not much by way of recommendations. Greninja- Physical moves aren't wise on Greninja, so Water Shuriken should probably go. I can't recommend you much to replace it with though, since Grass Knot is no longer obtainable and I doubt you feel like breeding for Ice Beam. Slaking- Hidden Power isn't very good on something more physically focused. Hammer Arm is a wiser alternative. I would also swap Counter for Feint Attack, so you're not completely walled by Ghosts, but that's just a matter of personal preference. Noivern- Looks good, no recommendations for it. Drapion- Its Special Attack is really bad, so I wouldn't run Venoshock, even when paired with Toxic Spikes. Cross Poison is a better idea. Fell Stinger is also broken at the moment, so I'd either swap it with Bug Bite if you want a Bug move, or one of the Fangs.
  3. Honchkrow gets Sucker Punch from the move relearner anyway, so... yeah. There's no real need to wait. That Dusk Stone is the one in the Underground Railnet (the room with all the Aron) and due to movement permission errors, it is currently unobtainable. That aside, the only two things I can recommend are to keep Feint Attack on Murkrow and put it on Shiftry, since it's boosted by his field, and to steer Typhlosion clear of too much battling. Maybe to take out Exeggutor quickly, but it's weak to the Rock-type chess attacks, so don't leave it in any longer than you have to.
  4. A bell, you say... well, you trade a Chimecho (which evolves from a bell, and thus, you'd have to train it, or "raise" it) for Bulbasaur, so... is it Bulbasaur?
  5. Most recently, I used Light Screen, Flash and Confide with Meowstic (Prankster op), Fake Tears from Espeon, and then two-shot it with Gardevoir after a couple Calm Minds. There are a lot of ways to put that thing in its place. Quick Claw also works instead of Focus Band, by the way. Focus Sash + Destiny Bond is probably the best way (...besides Sturdy Mirror Coat Magnezone), but there are only two of that currently in-game, and you may not want to binge one of them on this. It's also not actually required to defeat it... depending on your choices. I won't say anything more than that.
  6. Yep, you can't buy them with the other Chance Items anymore. I have no idea why, because they were luck-based and even more expensive than everything else... but them's the breaks.
  7. Taking away Brightpowders and Level Balls was evil enough... But the stickers being reset? Aaaaagh. Aaaaaaaaaagh. I don't think there are words to describe this level of aaaaaaaaagh. (I guess it's fair, since another sticker would put older players in range of items that are "too good", but it's still aaaaaaaaaagh.)
  8. And... a much more proper update for tonight, since I got off my lazy bum and did the grinding I needed to do. The only real team changes are a few new moves/held items here and there, and... I swapped Houndoom out, since I figured he'd be pretty much dead weight here. Sorry, Indra... Current number of badges: 10 *Garchomp has been defeated. *Judgment has rained down upon the false god. TFL 'dex completion: 34/44 Seen | 30/44 Caught Team used against Samson: Duskwing the Honchkrow (Male, Lv. 65) @Dread Plate Adamant nature. Moxie -Sucker Punch -Night Slash -Brave Bird -Roost ~Used at the very end, against Hawlucha. It was a double KO, since he was (obviously) slower than it, and Brave Bird recoil really hurts. Void the Spiritomb (Male, Lv. 65, Shiny) @Leftovers Relaxed nature. Pressure -Shadow Ball -Calm Mind -Dark Pulse -Psychic ~Rotated in in favour of Indra, due to his typing. Got a lucky crit on Chesnaught with Psychic after barely surviving a Wood Hammer, taking it down. Was going to use him against Mienshao, but that thing couldn't stop U-Turning for two seconds... Corey the Drapion (Male, Lv. 65) @Black Sludge Careful nature. Battle Armor -Poison Jab -Swords Dance -Crunch -Ice Fang ~I was going to use him against Mienshao, but... yeah, see above. He did take advantage of the U-Turn to set up Swords Dance, which kind of ends lives due to being boosted by the High Striker. Took down Blaziken pretty effectively. Zig-Zag the Scrafty (Male, Lv. 65) @Leftovers Adamant nature. Intimidate -Zen Headbutt -Dragon Dance -Crunch -Hi Jump Kick ~Wasn't used at all. With Fighting moves flying about, and the fact that he's pretty slow... yeah, I doubt I would've had the opportunity to switch him in. Azurine the Greninja (Male, Lv. 66) @Splash Plate Timid nature. Protean -Dark Pulse -Extrasensory -Shadow Sneak -Hydro Pump ~Finally took down the extremely frustrating Mienshao and left a nice dent in Conkeldurr... Unfortunately, he was one-shot by it on account of me not wanting to take the chance of the AI screwing me over and deciding against jumping types to Dark first. Ah well. Sepia the Malamar (Male, Lv. 65) @Leftovers Adamant nature. Contrary -Psycho Cut -Light Screen -Night Slash -Superpower ~The High Striker was very nice to Sepia, netting him two rolls of "...OVER 9000!!!" in a row against Hariyama. Using Superpower as my opening gambit was a wise move. He also finished off Conkeldurr... thank goodness Psycho Cut was enough. All-in-all, it wasn't too bad of a battle. Thank goodness. Adrienn is going to curb stomp me into the ground, just watch... Back into the depths of forever with this topic... until Episode 13.
  9. I am ridiculously happy about the return of Secret Bases, and they look pretty shweet in 3D. Hopefully they're less strenuous on limits for them this time- at least give us the ability to have more than one, if you're going to limit us to sixteen decorations at most. Even though too many makes for too much clutter but if I want my base to be cluttered it'll be cluttered, thank you very much. And... I want to know more about... Aarune, was it? He interests me, and his design is pretty nifty. Especially that hat. I don't think they'll be changing version exclusives... which makes me kinda sad, since I want to play Alpha Sapphire, but I prefer Latios. But I'll get over it. After I magically materialize a 3DS somehow.
  10. Secret bases are back? Oh fuck yes.

  11. That's your problem- you need to wait until the weather is clear. If you're having trouble getting clear weather and you don't want to wait, you can set the date forward on your computer to find a clear day. ...Also make sure it's daytime in-game, too. I made that mistake. >_<
  12. Bug mono-type sounds like a nightmare. Julia isn't even the worst part... Florinia's Smack Downing Cradily, Shelly's Ancientpower Yanmega, Taka's hell-Chatot... there are a lot more than just those, too. Poor Bug-types can't catch a break anywhere... I'd go Electric, unless you want to induce monitor-smashing. Pachirisu is an extremely handy early-game Pokemon, and there are plenty of options... a shame the best Ground counter (Chinchou) was removed... Still easier than the Bug mono-type.

    EL

El is working with Team Meteor, which instantly makes me suspicious of his intentions. Thus, there's really no surprise to be had from him being part of a cult. That being said, it would seem that everyone in Reborn has some shady dealing going on.
  14. Since I'm assuming you have access to Ability Capsules? Number 5, definitely. It's the best overall. Just make sure you get it Huge Power. And maybe swap its nature- it is +Attack, but Azumarill has good bulk, and you don't wanna lose that. If you want to use the shiny more, though? I'd say go for it. It's actually very good, too, which is a rarity for shinies.
  15. Avatar change. Much floof. Very cat. Wow.

Meowstic > Purugly, I agree. But Purugly is my favourite Normal-type, and I want to give the other Poke-kitties some love, too~

  16. I'd keep Ekans for now, actually, and ditch Spinarak instead. Arbok's more useful than Ariados by a decent margin, even though you likely won't want it to stick around for too much longer, either. But the two things you want to keep in mind are: -Get rid of the field. It will save you much frustration. Anything with Gust or Whirlwind is a safe bet, or if you're feeling particularly destructive and don't mind sacking a Pokemon to do it, you can use Numel's Lava Plume to clear it as well. That also takes down his Skrelp, assuming you can attack before it, that is. (I could, so I'd say there's a good chance.) -The Crobat is fast and hits hard. Paralyzing it takes away one of those and has the chance to take away the other. If you can manage that, then even if it takes down something, the rest of your team can outpace it and wear it down properly. Ekans'/Arbok's Glare is pretty much your only source of that... since Pachirisu still doesn't have Nuzzle like it's supposed to. Oh well.
  17. Your smiley looks like it has whiskers -> cats -> cute and fluffy, and cute and fluffy things are stereo-typically feminine. You don't fool me. There is no shame in being flat-chested. ...And if anyone gives you grief about it, kindly tell me so I can punch them in the face.
  18. Everyone on this forum is female. No matter what their gender is displayed as. No exceptions.
  19. You can buy the vitamins on the fifth floor of Obsidia's Department store, and there are a few of the wings scattered around Reborn as hidden items. But you can't buy them, no. You'll have to EV train manually otherwise, unfortunately.
  20. That's Radomus all right. He's just wearing a different hat because... He wants to be the very best, like no one ever was. I legit wonder if there's even an estimate of how many different hats he has... or if he himself even knows. #things that keep espy up at night It's almost 1am if you wanted serious you asked the wrong person... oh wait, you weren't asking me
  21. At the very least, one of the things that can be said about this apartment here is that we've got a front-row seat for the fireworks.

  22. I get to watch fireworks tonight, and that alone is something I can celebrate. Fuck yeah, 'murica. You crazy son of a- wait that's too much cursing for this post, let's not do that...
  23. Well, first off, I would do some grinding, if I were you. Get all of your team around level 37, rather than just half of them. Otherwise, let me see: Swampert: There's not much you can give it that doesn't come from breeding, and pretty much everything it learns is horrendously inaccurate. Since I doubt you feel up to breeding and you can't get Waterfall yet anyway, I can't offer much by way of advice. It'll have to do as-is. I would replace Mud Bomb for Hammer Arm, but that's not a necessity, really. Emolga: Looks good. Make sure it's not holding anything so you get double damage from Acrobatics. Vulpix: Look into evolving this- you can get Fire Stones from mining. It gets Flamethrower and Nasty Plot from the move relearner as a Ninetales, and those are a scary combo. Aside from that, I would do away with Feint Attack for something else. If you wait until level 39 before evolving it you can replace it with Extrasensory, otherwise, swap it for the aforementioned Nasty Plot. Kricketune: Rock Smash is a little weird... If it's the Defense drop you're wanting, than Screech will do better. If it's because you need a Fighting move, well, that's fine, but not really the best choice. Gothorita: Again, Feint Attack isn't a good option here. Since you're using Psyshock, you'll want to pair it with Tickle. If it's another offensive move you want... well, there's Charge Beam, but that's about it. Another Psychic attack, like Psybeam, is okay too. It also learns Psychic at level 39, if you want that. But that should be paired with Fake Tears instead of Tickle. Glameow: I'd work on evolving this, too- it evolves at level 38. Yours has Limber so it'll get Thick Fat too, which is handy for Shade's Chandelure spamming Flame Burst. Cut should be switched with Slash once it learns that. I don't really like Hypnosis' accuracy, but there's not much better for the spot, unless you want Charm for Attack dropping or something. And, because it's there: Swoobat: Heart Stamp isn't a good option- Confusion will work better. Otherwise, good. (Okay Klutz as an ability isn't my idea of good, but, whatever.) Otherwise, as Tacos ninja'd me to say because I take too long typing things said, Zoroark gets Night Daze from the move relearner and is very, very fast. That basically means it's Shade's worst nightmare. A lot of other Dark-types will really help you here, too, but it's probably your best bet.
  24. I mentioned Strength? Metagross is what has it, so watch out for that. The AI could be super dumb and it could use Meteor Mash if you don't quite one-shot it though so You probably don't want to waste a turn on Reuniclus to use Taunt with a Flying-type, since it can just casually nail you with Psychic after that, and leave you down one Pokemon. So it's no real problem~ Gardevoir is quicker than his other stuff but isn't very fast so she can work with Trick Room too, I'm guessing. Manectric can pretty easily outpace her outside of it, since it's quick. Aggron will pretty much demolish her, so that's a good choice. Nah, no Gym Leader in Reborn is easy, least of all for me. I know this feeling. And luck is, basically, what you're going to be depending on quite a bit. Also yeah, fuck Chrysolia Forest. That puzzle is pure, pure evil. It's much worse than the Route 2 puzzle, and no one will ever convince me otherwise.
  25. Flaaffy~ I doubt you feel up to grinding it into Ampharos, so yeah, Flaaffy. Name it Lemonade.
