    So back in the beta (it's okay for me to talk about that since the episode's out now right?), you could have gotten the Pokemon you traded away back by soft resetting, so I was gonna exploit that and send out an army of Sylveons named "Nuke Shooter" that were based on the MVP of my 6th gen monorun. But Ame was smart and made it that the game saves after a trade now, and since she also axed the auto-save backup system I can't just go to a previous save. I could technically still do it, by manually making a save backup... Except I already traded the Sylveon away without realizing until too late. Dangit. Well anyway, I got a level 1 Chespin named "Zen".

    Lol Gamexplain get it together, how did you miss 3 Z moves? Still, 11 non-generic super attacks (the majority of which were shown in trailers) is still pretty underwhelming for something that's supposed to herald the end of megas, of which there's like 50

    Apparently there's 26 Z moves, at least According to Gamexplain, which seems like a decent number until you remember that there's one for every type, meaning there are only actually 8 unique Z moves. And at least 6 of them have already been shown in trailers (maybe even more that I'm not remembering). They threw away megas for this?

    It seems the Sun/Moon anime might not be as bad as we thought. The artstyle still sucks and the pandering humor is still an insult to how badass the last gen was, but at least they seem to not be giving Ash the BW treatment. Yet.

      Considering it's still a show made for kids, I don't mind the humor. He hasn't been reset to BW levels and it's rather amusing from what I've seen. I'll keep watching for now....

    All these people talking about cheesing it with Focus Sashes and Quick Claws and such, but no. The answer is Sylveon. My Sylveon is so badass she straight up outpowered the god of the Pokemon world.

    Mark your calendars everyone, the first peer-reviewed paper on the "impossible" EmDrive is gonna be published by "AIAA Journal of Propulsion and Power" this December. For those of you who haven't heard, it's an experimental space drive that defies the laws of physics and could make going to the outer planets in our lifetime a real possibility.

      As someone who does lean left, I am honestly pretty disgusted at how childish, immature, and petty the left is reacting right now.

    Okay I would prefer to not be spoiled on anything more than I have to, but is the game actually... good this time? Is it as excruciatingly easy as the last couple games? Is the level design boring and linear like in XY (ORAS doesn't count because it's a remake of an already better game)? Is the story actually anything significant this time or was "it all comes together" really just empty, meaningless PR drivel? Is the postgame just relegated to a Battle Maison clone again (it looks that way from the trailers, regardless if some of the opponents are familiar faces)? If it's actually an improvement (well, enough of an improvement), I want to support it, but it'll be hard to know that without spoiling it/playing it myself, and I know that shortly after release people's opinions seem to be skewed (people thought XY was great after it first dropped), so I'm in a difficult situation here. Also I don't think I need to ask at this point whether or not there's new megas; that's already a major strike against the games. And a quick question about Primarina's hidden ability

    So apparently on the same day that... THAT happened, Junichi Madsuda tweeted "gone are the days of Pokemon being predictable" or something like that. We'll see about that because so far this generation's ended mostly the same way as every other one.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, I didn't look at the datamine but was instead told by someone else, but weren't the sprites for the summary menu, and therefore no in-battle forms were seen, not even Ashninja? If so that means technically any mega is still possible, but increasingly unlikely at this point.

    This totally means we're getting metas for Dragonite, Milotic, Volcarona and Haxorus, right? They wouldn't seriously make a big deal of all the past champions returning and leave only half of them with mega signatures, right? Well this is Gamefreak we're talking about here, so... We'll see.
