  1. Is it true that the shiny chance of SOS chaining resets after 255?  If so I might as well soft reset and save myself some leppa berries

  2. You keep thinking the thing that happened was 2016's last thing, but then 2016 just keeps doing more things

  3. How do abilities like syncronise/compoundeyes work with SOS chaining?  Do you need to keep the Pokemon in battle the whole time or just start the fight with him in the lead?  Or does it only work on the first Pokemon?

    1. Plok

      Plok

They have to be in first slot for them to work, also fainted one won't work and they have to be in battle all the time

Dang, guess I better take my Kadabra to the elite 4 then.  At least it's better than only working on the first Pokemon.

I'll wait for bank to get skill swap on abras and then switching back to smearle

  4. We got a legendary that could breed, and a legendary that evolves, before we got a poison type legendary...

The game literally tells you what's legendary and what's not, how did you make this mistake...

Nihilego is an Ultrabeast, and thus a legendary. Check yourself

  5. Calling it now: Gladion will be the Tobias 3.0 of this gen.

  6. Wow Nintendo went kinda overboard with the Pokedex entries about Pokemon eating each other.  It's as if someone who works there read the ep. 16 status thread where that one user got triggered by the concept and was like "lol let's troll them"

  7. Considering the third legendary in Sun and Moon is a Prism Pokemon, I think you guys can see why they didn't want a fan game with that name floating around.
  8. By the way, Cubones in Sun and Moon can call Kangaskhan allies.  So that theory's pretty much confirmed.

    1. Swampellow

      Swampellow

Ive heard people say that, but how does that "confirm" the theory, I see it as Kanga being a motherly pokemon and wanting to take care of the orphan.

If Kangaskhan wanted to help random babies on the route, it would appear for other Pokemon on the route.  Magby is actually a baby Pokemon who lives on that route.

  9. Just so you know, Hillary had the most faithless electors in history, unless you count the time in the 1870s when the guy died before the electoral college voted.  So how'd that petition go?

  10. Gosh dangit Assasin's Creed movie.  My dad was so confident in you breaking the video game movie curse.

Was it a bad movie? Or a bad movie when compared to the games?

That actually does nothing to answer my question

  11. We've got 4 faithless electors and counting... All taken from Clinton.  Top kek.

It'll be real funny when people actually get hurt, or hurt themselves over this won't it?

  12. Apparently Super Mario Run's being bombed with negative reviews.  Obviously the price is the main reason, but I think another one is because it's too skill based.  Mobile games are marketed towards the casuals, you don't make a game that you actually have to be good at and expect it to succeed.

  13. Christmas came early today.  No that's not just an expression, my family was gonna be spending the next week somewhere else so we literally had Christmas early.

  14. I always wonder what the stories behind these threads are. Reborn's like Dark Souls, in that it's characterized and known for its difficulty. I wonder how people like this guy come across the game without hearing about that.
  15. Paging Shofu.  It's that time again.

  16. So, Lillie carried around a 2204.4 pound Pokemon in her bag like it was nothing...

Can confirm. It's 999.9kg. Which is the same weight but in metric.

People are hand-waving this by going "it's just constantly floating in her bag and Lillie is only pulling it along."

I'm not even sure if that would actually be possible, but it's the only real explanation I've seen for why Lillie's bag can even hold it without getting the bottom ripped open.

Even if it were using psychic powers to ignore gravity, she'd have to apply enough force to move it horizontally.  Either way you look at it she's a superhuman with a superhuman bag.  Besides, if it floats there and has no weight then how does the Pokedex calculate said weight?

I hope Ash ends up holding it at some point when the anime gets that far.

    4. Jmanultrax1

      Jmanultrax1

if ash holds it theres going to be an uproar. But for now hes holding litten tomorrow

  17. I... Don't know actually. If you pay to fix the railnet at the end of episode it opens a lost and found section for stuff that was available in the railnet, maybe you'll find something there? Other than that I dunno, you might be out of luck.
  18. I dunno about putting remakes in the same slot as the originals, because now everyone who votes for gen 3 also votes for the remakes that had the gall to remove the best parts because "hurr durr it's too hard and would make the little babies cry". Those games are one of many reasons the 6th gen was the worst.
  19. Yeah, status conditions like paralysis prevent the Pokemon from calling for help. I learned that the hard way. Needed a Snorlax but didn't wanna bother raising a Munchlax's happiness, so since they can be called as allies from wild Munchlax I thought I'd do that. But they always hold leftovers, and I didn't have anyone with theif that wouldn't one-shot it, so instead I burned it. I literally fought that Munchlax for an hour. The worst part is, I never did get my Snorlax. When I fought the second Munchlax and actually did it right this time, the battle went on for almost as long and it only ever called Happiny and other Munchlax. I eventually gave up and just threw the Munchlax I already had into the hot spring.
  20. Good guy Gamefreak:  Gives you two of the version specific Ultra Beast so you can easily trade for the other on the GTS

Yes, @IntSys, but the problem is if you want a living dex(every single pokemon in your pc, including Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, and Lunala) you need to buy both versions because there's no way you'll get another player to give up their cosmog for something that isn't in the cosmog line.

    3. BIGJRA

      BIGJRA

@IntSys yeah, what @Captain Breakfast was saying is what I meant. I ended up vigilantly waiting for someone to offer dumb trades on the GTS for extra Cosmog and Lunala (Blissey and like, Toxapex ended up being it LOL).

@Azeria I thought that was interesting, but then they gave us PokePelago. I wouldn't really give a shit in the first place about ethical issues in my video games, but I guess that takes the edge off a bit.

    4. Azeria

      Azeria

The funny part about Pelago is that it's completely optional(I missed it until like halfway into the game..)and it's operated by Lusamine's Amnesiac Husband.

  21. So um, the next Death Battle episode... it's, uhh... it's gonna be something.

  22. I just finished the game and I gotta say they did a great job at making Pokemon difficult again. I'm actually pretty sure this is the hardest game to date, or at least the one I had the most trouble with personally (not counting my first attempt at Ruby version back when I was a dumb kid). The final boss for example, I barely won with 21/179 hp on my Primarina who was the only one left conscious, and only after like the third try (it didn't help I was intentionally not using healing items but still). You know how the game pushes the whole "you couldn't have done it without any one of your Pokemon" narrative even though it's usually bullcrap? This was the first time I ever actually felt that was true. Yes, even counting Reborn. ...This is all assuming you turn the exp share off, of course. If you keep it on it still breaks the game and makes it horrendously easy, as is evident from what I've seen of Shofu's playthrough (a boss battle that swept me didn't even land a single hit on him. Wtf.) Not that I don't have anything negative to say about the game, of course. As a matter of fact, while 6th gen was a crappy set of games that did some great things for the franchise in the long run, these games are the opposite, they're great but it seems they've done more harm than good. But that's a post for another time.
  23. Am I missing something or has Glitchxcity never done a "Defy the Legends" remix despite being a huge fan of Mystery Dungeon music?  That's been a series staple since the first game

  24. Okay guys, episode 16 is here and I've updated the list to reflect it. I would say something warning you about story spoilers, but there really isn't any due to there being no new stickers. Or at least there weren't in the beta, and I doubt Ame's changed that for the public release. There are a couple of significant changes though, for starters Ame finally added the Fairy type to the berries and gems floors. Funny story about the Fairy gem, its coding actually exists in the official games but you can never actually get it because Gamefreak abandoned gems just like they seem to have abandoned megas. And how they'll probably abandon Z moves next generation. More important than that, however, is that she's replaced "Evolution items" on the 10th floor with "Rare Berries" which used to be on floor 11. Don't panic though, every single evolution item that was on floor 10 previously is still available through some sidequest in episode 16. If anything, Ame did you a favor; now you have access to the evolution items AND the rare berries.
