Garen let out a long sigh as he watched the others leave, most of them without saying a word. "Looks like it'll be some time before we can really work as a team, at this rate." There were four of them left in the transport: Himself, another scout, a blast trooper, and a sniper, judging by the rifle she carried. He ran over his own equipment quickly, making sure he had everything he needed. Two pistols, one deadly and the other filled with tranquilizing ammunition. Recon drones. The shotgun slung across his back. And finally, his most prized possession, a hunting knife, sheathed and hooked onto his belt. He didn't like carrying the guns and drones, finding machinery to be too artificial for his own tastes. He carried them because they would help his comrades, not because he liked them. The knife however, was another story. The smooth silver blade gleamed as he unsheathed it, and he gripped the familiar leather handle. It had been a gift from his parents for his 13th birthday, and he carried it on him at all times. It was the one piece of equipment he felt he could truly rely on. He returned it to its sheath, taking a step towards the others who had yet to unboard. "Hello," he began simply, his voice deep and gruff. "It looks like we'll be grouped together for a while now. I figured it would be best to get to know you now, rather than later." He extended a hand, unsure if any of them would take his handshake. His green eyes shone brightly. His beard and ponytail made for a gruff exterior, but his eyes shown with companionship. "My name is Garen."

Phantom dashed to the side of the beast's head as it was pulled by the boy, running alongside it before slashing towards the inside of it's cheek. He had seen the attacks of the others fail, and he was unsure if his would make any difference. If it was true that only their abilities could hurt this beast, then he would be of little help to the others. -
I have a playoff game for soccer this Saturday, but as long as things don't clash with that, I should probably be fine. Should we maybe put Friend Codes in the OP? I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't have you all added... My code's in my sig.

Kenny, even though he's distracted, I think I'm going to need you to edit that post. You can't simply say that he ran all the way to the forest and stopped without giving any other PCs a chance to react. Remember, they all have the same goal as you, and just because you had the person in your possession at the time does not necessarily mean it will stay that way. Remember, always give other players a chance to react. You will know when the scene here is ended, and now isn't quite the time. Don't worry... I have some plans for later that may give Anver a chance to save them... Let's just see how things go, for now. -

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I know what you're getting at. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't me who was causing problems. -

Jory, rustytengo "Hello, gentlemen. Lucius Jett, and this is my lovely date Beverly. This party is so marvelous and so fantastic that we both agreed we would like nothing more than to personally thank the host for inviting us. Might you know where we could find the master of the house?" The group turned as Lux spoke, some of them at first looking surprised by the interruption before regaining their composure. One of them spoke, giving a smile that was obviously fake and used purely for politeness. "Oh, well I do believe we were just speaking to him a short while ago, giving our own appreciations," he said, looking at the others, who all nodded. "Yes, he had said he was going to head inside for a bit to visit with the guests there. Perhaps you might ask around there if you cannot locate him?" He squinted as he looked at the pair. "You're both quite young, aren't you..." He let the matter drop as his voice trailed away and he returned to his previous conversation, leaving Lux and Beverly to themselves. --------------------------------------------------- King Murdoc, Snap Crackle Pop, Chimchain Beetle came through the portal, landing rather roughly on the ground below. He could see somebody disappearing up the stairs with a girl in their arms, though he couldn't tell if it was Rebecca with his body in the way. There were two other men in the room. One was very muscular, wearing a cut-off and boots, while the other looked like one of the men from upstairs. "How did he get here so fast...?" Beetle wondered. He didn't take any more time to think about it. He sprinted past the two men back up the stairs, hoping that the others who hadn't come through the portal yet might slow him down up there. He wasn't sure if anyone had come through with him, but he didn't stop to check. ---------------------------------------------- typhlosionrulez, K_H "You're tougher than I thought. Who are you?" The man smiled. "I'm just like you," he replied. "One of those who have found their full potential. One of the Awakened." He swept his arm across the room. "I was appointed to keep this place under control if anything... unexpected were to happen. Though I must say, I'd been getting a bit lazy before you two showed up." He looked around. "Speaking of which... It seems your friend thinks that I'll just let him waltz on out of here." With that, he sprinted towards the stairs after Kenny. "This is your chance to leave," he called back. "Follow me and there will be no more warnings." (((For clarification, he will not have noticed Beetle run behind him, or any others from that group who may have followed.))) -
I might be interested. I have a slight lag on my connection, but it hasn't been enough to stop me from winning two of the three matches I've played, so it's probably doable.

Man. I haven't done anything here since 1st Gen shinies. It seems so long ago... ...I may have to come back to this. It was fun.

Phantom rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the head. His reflexes weren't their usual. He was physically worn, and he could tell. He stood again, the tip of his sword still resting on the ground as he hunched forward. He slowly backed away, preparing for another dodge and a counterattack if it came for him again. -
Wow... You pretty much hit the nail on the head as to how I imagined them. They are meant to be seen as strange, as they do not follow the normal behavioral patterns or mannerisms that people (meaning all races) would be used to in society. They are secluded by choice. Beyond that, you bring up some good points. Invisibility is quite strong for a player, and if all Moonfolk had it, it would give a sure advantage to RP them. They are rarely seen in society, so I don't want everyone to play them. That will need some tweaking, perhaps some of the ideas you mentioned. We can all work that out. As for a name, I also doubt they would call themselves Moonfolk. They have their own language, and would probably use a word from it to describe themselves. (I'm also not going to take the massive amount of time needed to create a language. There may be a few words mentioned, but that will be all.)

Nero said nothing in return to Sigurd's comment, simply closing his eyes as he leaned on the wall. The others had spoken of a "Lord Bartimus." They couldn't mean the supposed "god" himself, could they? No, if a god such as Bartimus existed, why would he bother to meddle with their group? It must have simply been a mage using the name. Then again, there was the incident with the Gentleman. Nero still wasn't sure what exactly he believed had happened afterwards. Had they really met a god, or was the whole thing some sort of illusion? There was no use dwelling on the matter, and he wasn't about to ask the group what was going on and tell them that he'd left the meeting. No, he'd play along. Apparently, they were searching for some kind of shards, and Sigurd's Book had something to do with it.

Well, I'll assume that the rest of you agreed with K_H. I guess that's all on the Gruul for now. We can always come back to them as we progress in the history of this world and develop more ideas. So: Are there any races you feel we should focus on next? (I'm guessing you might think Moonfolk as they're another custom race? If no one says anything, I guess I'll just pick one.) Edit: I also changed the title of the thread to more accurately reflect what it is...

typhlosionrulez, K_H Ace made contact with the man, but the man was not thrown backwards. Instead, it was Ace who would be in pain. The man was still in place, as if Ace had hit a steel wall. He didn't even flinch, simply turning to look at Ace, now sprawled on the floor in pain. "Well. That was unexpected." He turned back to Kenny. "It seems you brought friends. No matter. I'll simply defeat the both of you, and take back my prisoner." The man walked over to Ace, his right hand making a fist as he brought in back in a punch. He swung downward toward Ace, his muscled arms making incredible speed through the air. -

Phantom was alarmed twice over in his Phantom zone, the first being the absence of Quincy's presence. He could still sense the others nearby, but Quincy's had disappeared, presumably having been killed by the others. Phantom hadn't even had a chance to surprise the rat-man. Just as he was about to exit his dimension, another thing caught his attention. An enormous presence was nearby, and it was almost as if he could sense multiple beings in the same place. He opened a portal near the others and stepped out, curious and worried as to what this presence could be. Besides, he had been in the other dimension for a fair amount of time, and it was beginning to wear on him. He came out near Mr. Taylor, sword in hand, and looked upon the being. It was a three-headed dog, towering above the group. Despite their advantage in numbers, Phantom felt as though they were still overpowered. Something about the creature just exuded menace. "I... return..." he said to no one in particular. He let the tip of his sword rest on the ground. His body was tired, and he needed to save what energy he could for this battle. -

K_H "I don't know who you are, but just get out of my way before I do something unforgivable." The man let out a laugh. "You? Do something unforgivable?" His grin broadened. "Please. As if you could even do anything to me before I broke you. But I'll tell you who I am. I'm the big boss around here, you see. The guy in charge of making sure these prisoners don't leave. And besides that, I'm the last guy you'll ever meet." ------------------------------------------------------------------ Arkhidon "No questions. I'm ready to go." Hades smiled. "Excellent." **** The car stopped. Hades stepped out, followed by Keaton. He gave a signal to the driver, who sped away. The two of them were left alone on an empty road. It was a backroad of some sort, and appeared to be rarely used anymore. The sun had set, leaving them in darkness. Hades pointed to their right, at a small building a short distance away. It resembled a shack, likely only having one small room, probably for storage. "That's where we're going. We've been gathering information about a gang around these parts. From what we can tell, their "base" is underneath that shack." He looked at Keaton, a blank expression on his face. "Normally the police would handle this sort of thing, but apparently their leader is known to be one of the Awakened. That makes this my kind of job." He grinned. "They're likely to be armed, and I doubt they'll come peacefully, given their history. Hope you've got your guns ready, and try not to die. Not that it really matters if you do. It wouldn't be a huge setback." With that, he began walking towards the shack, leaving Keaton to question why he had been brought along. He found that the door was padlocked, but brought out a small device from his pocket. A laser came from the end, cutting straight through the metal as the lock hit the pavement. The door swung as he pushed, and he stepped through. A small door was on the floor, revealing a staircase when pulled open. The pair walked down, reaching a narrow passageway. It took a sharp turn a few feet in front of them, and they could hear voices around it. "...stinking guard duty again. I'm getting sick of this." There was a mumbling in a different voice in reply. Hades looked at Keaton. "At least two in this corridor," he whispered, edging closer to the corner. "I'll try to talk to them, and you back me up if it goes wrong. Consider it a test of sorts." With that, he strode casually around the corner, hands in his coat pockets. There was a yelp of surprise from one of them men. Hades' voice could be heard first. "Hello, gentlemen. Quite the place you have here. However, I'm afraid that it's being shut down. Government policy and all that. Please come along peacefully, and you won't have to die." One of the men laughed. "Hehe. Sure, doc. You'll kill us. I've got news for ya. You're outnumbered and outgunned. You haven't even met the boss yet. How 'bout you head on home before things get crazy." Hades spoke the next words simply and loudly. "All right Keaton. Shoot them." -
Nero slipped in the doorway quietly as attention was turned to Helzebeth. He strode over to the far corner, taking his usual place in the shadows, leaning on the wall and folding his arms. Anyone who had not noticed his disappearance before would probably think that he had been there the whole time, and they simply hadn't noticed him. It wasn't like he usually contributed to their conversations anyway.

"Oh really, is it Nero? Yousaa should look in this mirror, maybe yousaa will learn it isn't so impossible after all." Nero stopped in his tracks upon hearing Glicks' words. "...What do you mean?" he started, before looking down at himself. He couldn't see himself. Did that mean...? "I... did it..." he stammered, the illusion fading as he realized it. He was visible once more. "I... turned invisible." He walked over to Glicks, pausing when he got there, uncomfortable with what he was about to do. He didn't often like to thank people, mostly because he didn't often accept help. It also tended to give them big heads. But, he figured that this was an exception, and it would only be right. "...Thank you, Glicks." He paused, obviously uncomfortable. "I... couldn't have done this otherwise..."

So, looking at Robin's black haired, white clothed palette swap in SSB4, and then looking at this: http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140511012923/fairytailfanon/images/6/67/Sasuke_nerosabu.jpg --Coincidence?

I also highly doubt it was intended, kirito only had that outfit for an extremely short time so if robin was supposed to look like him it wouldn't be with his white cloak.
-
I do think it's coincidence as well, but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw that recolor. ^^
