    Nero glanced at Glicks while they were seated around the table, hoping the kobold would give him some kind of hint as to when they were supposed to meet. He had not know that Glicks would be a headmaster here, though he was scarcely surprised based on what he'd seen on the previous night. His attention was turned back to the conversation as he hear one of the mages speak up. "...willing to give the information to these heros, regarding the Plate of Hatred, and the other 9 shards of the Ten Divines..." Information. That was something Nero appreciated. However, it was the other part of the sentence that caught his attention more. Ten Divines? Nero had never been particularly pious, nor had he believed much in the gods before recent events, but even he knew that there were supposed to be nine. It seemed that this information would be valuable indeed. Valuable enough that these mages would keep it from being common knowledge. He sat back, waiting to hear what they had to say.

    So many people want dragons... Please tell me none of you are gonna take Noivern/bat... If I can RP on the antagonist team, it'll be perfect for the kind of character I'm envisioning.

    "Perhaps we can have Ogre try to pry it open?" Flux suggested. The Aggron had considerable physical strength, though he expected a door this size would be a challenge even for Ogre. "If we have no other options, it may be worth a shot. If he can open it, he may be able to force it shut as well if need be.

    Well, as you probably have realized, I know very little of DnD, so most of what I say comes from my own mind. I had been planning for there to be both sentient and non-sentient golems, partially based on the intuitiveness of their past creator. Sentients would have been more uncommon, obviously, and some of the very intelligent may have been used as rather important characters. However, I like your idea for the history on the creation of the Warforged, and if you all would like to include them, we can do so. Other than that, I suppose we'll wait on relations until we get to the backstory of the world itself. For now, it seems like we'll be starting in on the Gruul first. Are there any particular things you think we should hash out first?

    Phantom stared at the large doors as the titans left. He was unsure if they would be able to open them on their own, but they could hardly just wait around for the giants to return. He turned to Mr. Taylor, his mask hiding whatever emotions may be going through him at the time. "...Which...?" he asked, motioning to the doors.

    Well, this certainly sounds interesting. I can't say I've read the entire thing yet as it's so long, but I think I have the gist of it. I'd like to try to fit this in to my overloaded schedule if possible, but will see when the actual thread comes out. As for the questions... 1. Are you interested in this? As I've said, yes. 2. Do you have a better name for the Antagonist team? Not particularly, though as Dobby said, I think it'd be interesting to get away from the whole "Team" thing for this. Even just "Apocalypse" sounds better to me. 3. What type would you like to see for an E4 member? (I gave the options I was thinking about but feel free to add your own) I don't really have a preference on this. 4. Would you prefer the option to play as a member of Team Apocalypse? If there’s interest in this I need some extra time to come up with a storyline for them. (and I can use a co-host with this) Definitely yes. Even if I was the only one, I think this is definitely where I'd like to RP if I join. 5. If question 3 is used, should I use a separate thread for students and antagonists? That's up to you. Though personally, I've seen that splitting up groups tends not to work. (As seen in my closed Aervana thread and Acquie's Aftermath. Both slowly faded away...) 6. Any questions / remarks? Maybe when I finish reading it all, but for now, nothing other than well done.

    Is anyone else in the small group with Beetle going? I'd like to move this along, but there will be a point coming up when the groups will need to be in the same timeline... I'd recommend going, or you'll miss the action...

    So much Nordic. I like it. Hopefully I can find the time to write something up for this, as the world sounds very interesting. I already have so many ideas brewing... On a side note, It's too bad we couldn't run this as an actual RP, as it would be different and fun I think. I remember you brought up the idea before.

    Lars felt a pressure enter his mind, but it was unfamiliar and he couldn't understand it. Shortly after, however, he could feel the familiar presence of Sleepy probing into his mind, despite being inside his capsule. There were no words, only a vague sense of a location. "Is that where the others went...?" Lars wondered. "Ab...ra..." "...I'll take that as a 'yes.'" Lars turned to lead Surge the way Sleepy had shown him. He'd trust in his GAO. Sleepy had proven to be extremely useful thus far, and he was sure he could trust the little guy. "I, um, think they went this way, sir..."

    So... here's what we've got for a total. Should we add Shardminds as a race in the world? We've got 3 yes votes, a unanimous decision. I've added them to the OP as an unplayable race for the time being. This may be subject to change. If so, should they be playable or unplayable? We've got a yes, a no, and a maybe. Unless Hukuna or someone else places their opinions, I'll decide this myself in the end. Should we change their backstory so that they were created by the mages of the past? We've got 2 yes votes, and one no. I may throw my own vote in with the no on this, as I like Murdoc's idea of them being born naturally into the world. Should we add the Warforged as a race in the world? We have a yes, a no, and a maybe on this. I'm leaning towards no myself, unless Hukuna or someone who hasn't voted supports adding them. There will already be golems in the world, and the warforged seem fairly similar to what I had in mind for those. So, with these results, we move onward to our next set of questions, still focused on fleshing out the races. Remember, the current playable races are: Humans High Elves Forest Elves Moonfolk Gnomes Dwarves Gruul Are there any playable races that you feel should have an alliance? If so, list them. Are there any playable races that you feel should be enemies or rivals? Is there a specific race you would like to work on refining first?

    "Carter, Kaiser! Where's the rest of the squad?" Lars turned around to see Surge himself entering the room. He'd forgotten Lionel had even been there, he'd been so quiet. Still, it was good that Lars hadn't gotten too far away by this point. He figured Surge would be having words with the others later. He put a hand behind his head and gave an embarrassed smile as he answered. "Well, I can't say I know for sure, sir, but I'll explain as best as I can. We were all sitting around here for a while, and a few of the others decided to have a battle of sorts, to get some practice in. Before they could start, one of Kenny's GAOs ran off. He followed after it, and next thing I knew, so was everybody else. Honestly, I don't see what the big deal was about a GAO running lose. One of them should have been enough to handle it."

    I'm going to assume you meant someone else here, as Lars' party wasn't released yet. Unless something happened earlier and I forgot already, which wouldn't really surprise me.

    Nero was silent as the Illithid spoke. He had read of them in his studies, so he had known about their method of communication, but it was still unnerving to experience firsthand. He disliked the idea that it could get inside his mind. His mind was his own, the one thing he could be sure to trust in. He brushed away thoughts of Mind Flayers as he looked up at the tower. So this was Raven's Spiral, where Glicks would meet him. He had an opportunity here like none other that he would get, and he had to be sure to make the most of it. Unless Glicks sought him out, he'd have to find some way to break away from the group for a time. It would be tricky, but then again, he was an Illusionist. He was sure he could fool them.

    Lars sighed as he stood at the table. "Looks like I'm the only one left..." he muttered, putting the sketchbook inside his coat. "...And that's no fun..." He pushed in his chair as he left the table, slowly meandering away after the others, a bored expression again taking place on his face. "Why can't I ever just have a break?"

      I'd question the better balance thing, but nevertheless everyone has different tastes and will prefer different games.

      Neither is really better balanced, they both have their problems, and Dota and League are just as competitive. Complexity and Competitive aren't mutually exclusive terms.

      ((oh and DoTA 2 is completely free Flux, you don't buy DoTA 2. Essientially, DoTA 2 being owened by Valve it can essientally be a loss leader for them as it gets people onto steam. They don't really make all that much off it, though they do make some with the cosmetic stuff I would wager.))

    Likely, though I'm lacking time in general between school and practice right now. I'm actually debating what to do with your character currently... I have plans for those with combat focused powers, but yours makes things difficult, in an interesting way... I have an idea for near the end of this chapter, but I'm stumped for the short-term, hence why I haven't updated yet.

    Unfortunately, unless some new blood shows up, it's looking like this RP will indeed be retired. If so, I apologize for any errors on my part, and I thank you all for putting your time into this. Hopefully, I can be more successful in the future...

    Lars looked up from his sketchpad. He was just finishing up the sketch he had started of Sleepy earlier, which was right behind that of Dominance. He considered himself to have a fair talent, though he wasn't really sure what was average to compare himself to. "You guys wanna battle again?" He frowned. "I'd have thought you had your fill for the day, but whatever floats your boat, right?" He smiled and waved. "Have fun then!" He turned back to the sketch as he finished the last segment. Grinning broadly, he raised his hands into a victory position. "It's finally done! Now, on to Malice..."

    Flux glanced at Miki as she spoke to the acolyte. She was still soft, but... that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It was a rare attribute in times like these. Still... it could become a hindrance. He turned his gaze forward again, following behind the others, his calm and cheerful expression returning to his face. He sighed. At times like these, there wasn't much he could do but go with the flow.

    Phantom pushed Mr. Taylor back to back to the wall, where they were relatively out of sight for now. He opened a portal in front of him, silently stepping through and pulling Mr. Taylor after him. He moved quickly, running to where he would be behind the titan, dragging Mr. Taylor behind him. Mr. Taylor probably wouldn't be able to handle too much time in the phantom zone this soon, so hiding here was not an option. He drew his sword, preparing himself in case his plan went wrong. He held out a hand, creating a portal back to the other dimension. Phantom and Mr. Taylor stepped out, now behind the titan. He held a finger to where his lips would be, if not for the mask concealing them, motioning for Mr. Taylor to stay silent. He watched and waited, hoping the titan would continue down the corridor without noticing the duo. ((Excuse the minor bunnying, but I figured it would save us a few posts concerning Mr. Taylor entering and exiting...))

    Flux smiled and clapped as the group finished their battle. "Well done, well done. You really work well as a team. Now, as Alina said, we'd best get moving. We wouldn't want to attract too much attention, would we?"
