  1. Are you in the New York area? I've heard about the blizzard hitting the east coast... Doesn't sound fun.
  2. Congrats to both of you! Bout time Jericho got promoted. They're both well-earned positions!
  3. Not sure about the others, but I believe it was "Parson El."
  4. I realize it may be part of the style you were going for, but I'd have to agree with Jericho on that. It makes a few of them somewhat troublesome to understand. Otherwise these are awesome! Makes me want a sweatshirt with some of these on it...
  5. I know it's a bad idea, but I still can't help wanting to do it... Convention Artemis. The skin that is already $70+ for a code and will only get more expensive as time goes on.

  6. She'd bettter not lose before Flux gets out there... It'd make him quite upset... though perhaps that could make for some end-game development...
  7. Just discovered the greatness that is Muse. I'd never really listened to them before...

    osu!

Made me think of this^ But I might look into this. Seems a bit like Theatrhythm, which I enjoyed.
  9. I see Dante. And I approve. As do I...and I mean real Dante, not the phony DmC Dante. Here's hoping for a true DMC 5. Anyway, welcome to the forums!
  10. Health... problems? Or to good health?
  11. Bruh. Legendia was flipping amazing. 2nd best Tales game that I've ever played, after Abyss. It's soundtrack won AWARDS. It may not have been made by the usual company, but it's a great game nonetheless. Anyway, on topic, I'd recommend the Portal games for sure. I'm pretty sure you can get the bundle of Portal and Portal 2 for around $13 on Steam now. Portal 2 is co-op as well. Super Meat Boy is great, if you have any interest in a challenging platformer. Killing Floor is a good co-op survival FPS. Castle Crashers is a fun way to waste some hours in co-op, and it's an RPG as well. Valdis Story is an RPG that was on Steam Greenlight for about $3.50 (Not sure how it's priced now). It's an amazingly fun 2D Action RPG, and while the fact that it's an indie game shows, I still had a great experience with it.
  12. If memory serves me correctly, we still have 2-3 people at the gym who have yet to sub-in anyway. It'd be a while before Drake could even help there.
  13. Well, after giving the demo a playthrough, I think I'll put some of my thoughts on it here. Being somebody who has experience with the Monster Hunter series, I dove right into Experienced mode. I tried out the Insect Glaive on the Great Jaggi, and while it seems like an interesting weapon, I don't really think it fits my playstyle. I was really hoping for a greater amount of control and interaction with the Kinsect (Sort of like a pet in other games), though it seems that all you can do is send it out to gather extracts from the monsters. While that's useful in it's own way, I still don't think I really understand the weapon enough to appreciate it's worth. For now, it just feels like another melee weapon to me, and kind of a clunky one at that. After I beat down the Great Jaggi with my Insect Glaive, I decided to test out the other new weapon class on the Tetsucabra, being the Charge Blade. The Charge Blade seems like an interesting and fun weapon from the short experience I had with it, and it's a weapon I could see myself using in the full game. I never really used the Switch Axe in MH3U, so I don't know how the charge blade compares in similarity, but in my experience it was an enjoyable and powerful weapon. You use the sword form to rack up hits and fill the phials before switching to axe form, in which you can release the energy from the phials in a devastating combo. The axe combo deals a ton of damage, and it seems to have a high chance of knocking the monster down. I still need to work on switching forms more fluently, but the charge blade is a weapon I think I'll definitely spend some more time on Finally, I challenged the Gore Magala, picking the familiar long sword for what I assumed would be a difficult battle. My assumptions were not wrong, as the Gore Magala is tough, at least the first time you fight him. Upon sighting the Gore Magala for the first time, I was instantly amazed by his design. I have to say, it is one of the coolest monsters I have seen. I'm excited to see what his armor looks like. The fight was long and tough -- the Magala is strong and fast, packing an arsenal of ranged attacks -- but I managed to fell him in the end. It was a satisfying battle, as I came close to death a number of times. If it wasn't for the massive stock of potions supplied, I'm not sure that I would have beaten it on my first try. I blew through all my Mega Potions and First Aid Meds, starting into the regular Potions before it died. The game looks great on the 3DS, though I sometimes felt that some of the colors were a bit too bright and saturated, mostly the yellows and pinks. 4U feels much smoother than 3U, as there are less stops in movement. When jumping down from high places, you can still stumble forward instantly, unlike 3U where you would stop until you regained your footing. The platforming elements introduced add an interesting touch to the battles, and while I'd like to see even more free-form platforming in the next game, I think they did well implementing it into this game. The monsters in the demo felt a bit too easy to me as a whole, though I expect there will be harder monsters in the game to fill that niche. Maybe I'm just too used to G-Rank from 3U. The Gore Megaira was the only monster where I actually felt that there was a chance I might die at some points, though it didn't end up happening once in any of the battles. As I said, I believe there will be harder battles in the game, so this isn't really an issue. It's likely I'll be complaining about some of them eventually... All in all, the game seems very enjoyable, and I'm pumped for the full release.
  14. Lars glanced at Logan. He wasn't sure where Sleepy had taken them, but it seemed as though there was a civilian here. That meant that they were outside the Urban Games area... Unless... Could this just be a man acting like a civilian? It would certainly add more realism and risk to the training if that was the case. Regardless, he would have to treat the man like any civilian, and as Logan had said, they couldn't give the man any confidential information. As he was thinking of some way to get out of the situation, a smile crept onto Lars' face. "I've always wanted to do this..." he muttered as he approached the counter. "Hey..." he started, looking at the man intently, "What year is it?"
  15. We're awkward* friends. But silent is close and true enough.
  16. Guys, he made an account to post this... somebody joined him, right? RIGHT?! ^That doesn't look like a word to me anymore now that I made it big... *Ahem* Anyway, hello Edioz. Sorry I didn't make it, but glad to have you here! Hopefully we can all get a game in together sometime.
  17. Jelly, do you remember my opinion of us?
  18. Tfw you still have school on said holiday...
  19. Muk is no rotting body monster. Muk is a beautiful creation and should be treated with respect. Thank you very much. #MukLove
  20. (Bowguns) I've only played MH3U so far, but it's got me hooked on the series. I'd have to say the Zinogre is my favorite monster, closely followed by Gigginox. (Pretty hyped for the new and returning monsters though. I've still gotta play the older games sometime...) For anybody who hasn't tried Monster Hunter, it's basically a game that very few people will pick up and try, but I think that most who do will end up loving it. You have to stick with it for a while before it really hits you. In the beginning, my friend and I both felt that the controls were a bit clunky, and the game was meh. But after you reach the large monster hunts, get used to movement and the controls, and experience co-op, the whole game gets immensely better.
  21. Definitely picking it up as you could tell by my status. I personally prefer the Greatsword on my main character for MH3U. I also use dual blades a bit, though I've been finding that I really like the longsword on the new character I started with my friend. Looking forward to grouping with anyone on 4U.
  22. So much hype for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate... I want a solid release date... V.V

  23. I suppose I'll throw up another point of self-reflection now. Over the course of my time in the RP subforum of Reborn, I sometimes feel like my writing is becoming worse rather than better. This is not because I am not learning, but rather because I begin to feel more rushed in my writing. When I first started roleplaying back in the beginning of Pokemon Aftermath, I remember that I would really sit down and take my time with my posts. I wanted every sentence to be perfect, and I spent a lot of time on them. They still might not be my best works as far as writing goes, but I remember that I was really dedicated to making them quality. Now I find my self rushing many of my posts, trying to get them done rather than do them well. This is another point I feel I could improve on, though perhaps that would only make my updates in my RP even longer to get up. Regardless, this is another point I need to focus on to improve myself.
