I could have sworn the level cap is 65 for Samson, but leveling up Gardevoir should help you take care of a good chunk of his team. Ampharos is golden against his Hawlucha with is what gave me problems with him. There's also a Hawlucha that can be caught in the wild to use against him if it's so much of a problem.

Not a bad guide so far, but the only thing I really see missing is kind of a recommendation when you have wild Pokemon or event Pokemon. Sometimes people can't make up their mind so showing a bit of oppinion like how Ekans Intimidate is a useful addition or pointing out a specific pokemon might help a newb make a decision. I often to take people's opinions into consideration when selecting a certain mon (or used to when I was younger). The other little thing is your explanation on how event variations work. It kind of sounds like it's implied that having a certain pokemon there effects an event later down the line when it doesn't. (This is right at the end). It's simply determined at the start of the game (well after the rivals to be specific), but that's being nit picky. Also THANK YOU! for mentioning that Rayquaza and lucky egg thing. At one point, I got a lot of reports on it, but they've started to dwindle quite a bit. But yeah...that's my pic actually, but I don't care if you use it. I can't really give you too many pics other than some team changes in Hardcore. I don't think you really need to do anything for Hardcore though because most people who play it probably know what they're doing.

I could probably beat Reborn with those options, but why not Steelix instead of Bastiodon...only one of those two is good for something. It wouldn't be hell but it be kind of challenging (then again, I am pretty experienced with the game and most of those Pokemon).

Let the RNG guide my actions: a Random Pokémon Generator run.

1. I still don't get why people think it's a good idea to jump into a Monotype for a very harder version of Reborn...good luck with Charlotte for a team like that. I suppose that would be the best run option (is doing a normal run too mainstream now?) I swear if you beat that Solaris fight with a bug mono, my pride will sink a few inches. 2. I don't really recommend this as it's similar to my challenge run. Having to grind up a ton of mons really burns you out and when you do it for one episode, you have to spend hours doing it the next...to the point it's not even fun. I got up to Kiki and kind of said there wasn't much of a point considering Hardcore gave me just as much challenge with 1/3rd of the time having to level up. 3. This is kind of interesting. I know Jamak PM'd me about making a guide for Hardcore...but 85% of what normally is viable in Reborn is the same for Hardcore except early evolutions are much, much better in Hardcore for the first few gym leaders (like Ursurang, Swalot, Pelipper, Grumpig, etc). I would kind of want to see a guide more with strong Pokemon recommendations to kind of help new people get a feel for the game. Pelipper I generally believe is the strongest early game Flying type you can get...but different people have different preferences. The only difference between regular and Hardcore is that cheap strategies won't win gym leader battles (but they do help a lot). Edit: Looks like Chubb is doing one so that's a no go. 4. I know it's not a run, but I'd kind of like to see a Reborn Pokemon of the week or something pop up. (Similar to Serebii's but for in-game Reborn vitality and recommendations instead of competetively). -
Fixing it up (A Pokemon Reborn Hardcore Playthrough)
Commander replied to Commander's topic in Team Showcase
Actually, we faced the same team. What happened is that Lava Plume removes the field which is why it looked the way it does. It's probably confusing because the Corossive field (aka the non mist one) actually more nostalgic with his Haunter and "Trubbish" (Now a Garbodor) as a throwback to his old team. -
Loudred does get screech so maybe try using that. Hypnosis plus Confuse Ray can also work (Lum Berry is evil). You could also get a defense Curl Bibarel then Rollout at +6.
-
Have Fearow more or less take care of everything but Ferroseed and Cradily. For Ferrossed, your Litleo should be able to finish it off pretty quickly. Cradily is what your opponent is going to be. If you outspeed it with most of your Pokemon, that'll be the key to winning, if not...you're going to want Raticate to pull off a scary face. Keep lowering its attack or defenses then before going to a kill as it can use recover. You can also bring Noctowl in for Reflect to slowly wear out its Smack Down attack.

Fixing it up (A Pokemon Reborn Hardcore Playthrough)
Commander replied to Commander's topic in Team Showcase
I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that I didn't really need to edit Corey's team that much. All I did was give some slight buffs to his weaker Pokemon like evolving Trubbish, bulking Swalot, etc. I tested Victreebel and Ariados, but those two didn't work out too well. As for Toxicroak, Kiki has one so I don't feel so bad leaving it out and I don't think it would really help Corey's pretty solid team. The bad news is a dun goofed so you only get to see Mist Corey. I'll do field Corey if I ever do a monotype run. Now to the battle: ------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 3-E: The Wrath of Corey One think I did right in the fight is capture the feelings of Corey in the battle. He's not holding back and he's watching to see you suffer. Anyways, the battle starts out with Manectric using Discharge nearly killing Qwilfish in exchange for a powerful Bubblebeam. Corey then heals his Pokemon to only be KO'd by Discharge, but Manectric dies to poisoning. I decided to send out Creepy Bird, but he sent out his Scolipede which was the greatest evil on his team for me. I switched into Numel while he missed Rock Tomb. The next turn it used Rock Tomb while Numel used Lavaplume for a double KO. Now I had to handle is normal field...which the chip damage is still dangerous. I predicted Nidoqueen this time so I sent out Pelipper who took quite a few blows from that Nidoqueen's Ice Punches (yes, it has Ice Punch now). It was in the KO range when Skuntank came out. I had to switch into Scotty who dented that monster with a Take Down, but was ended by two Night Slashes. Kawaii bear came in and KO'd it. Next came out Swalot (I think...doesn't matter too much) and thankfully it was Ice Beam happy as Venoshock did about 1/3rd of my health. I had to chip its HP down with Slashes between heals, but Kawaii bear lived with 10HP after one last Slash. Thank the lord it didn't use Acid Armor. Next came out Nidoqueen again so I had to heal Pelipper before finishing it off with a Brine. Next came out his Ace, Crobat...and all I had left was a Pelipper in red, an Ursurang who couldn't even be switched out, and a Grumpig named Jack...things weren't looking too good. Jack came back for another round against the Crobat (I lost here on my third attempt). It used Nasty Plot (which is scary) while Jack confused it with Confuse Ray. Thankfully, it hit itself twice so that Jack could nail it in red ready for Mickey to knock it out with a quick attack...suddenly sitrus berry. Crobat regained its senses and nailed Jack with a bloody Venoshock...but Jack survived and finished it off with a Psybeam (I was a bit surprised). I guess Venoshock did activate because Air Slash did about 2/3rds of Grumpig's HP in a previous fight so Grumpig is really bulky. Giving Crobat Air Slash is also a Clever move seeing as his old field is more useful when it's just down to his ace for that chip damage. Field Corey is easier, but he's by no means a pushover and I really recommend fighting him in second runs (especially after the update). As for the mascot, the votes are really close so but my vote doesn't count so Leon won...but Leon is going to be sitting out for a while (until Noel)...I guess this run will be mascotless then. I'll be bringing back a couple oldies and rotating a bunch of Pokemon to keep my levels low or within cap so you'll see some favorites in future episodes. The (almost dead) team this Episode: -

You people ask the wrong questions. This is what you should be asking: On a scale of 1 to 10, how close are you to being done?

Can someone hack in a pokemon for a hardcore monorun?
Commander replied to AnimeFg's topic in Team Showcase
Okay...but just know even if you ask me to add in more pokemon in...I will not unless you start all over again. Those three Pokemon in your party are all you gonna get up until Julia but given you only want Gollett, you should probably delete them. And again, this is it for the save file so...no more modding from me after this no matter what. -
It's kind of funny seeing how Cradily really has fallen from grace due to fighting types being able to tear through it. It is a bulky demon outside of that due to Stockpile and that it is naturally kind of bulky anyways. I to am surprised Makuhita was moved back as Hariyama is pretty good even in the late game.

Can someone hack in a pokemon for a hardcore monorun?

I don't mind doing it, but I'd need a save. Here's the thing though, I saw somebody youtube a playthrough (Ross_Andrews) and they got beat even with a Marshtomp on their team as well as a couple other Pokemon. As most people say, Julia is not a walk in the park and she is designed to be able to take on Marshtomps and ground types (though technically there's only one at this point in time. I'm not saying you can't do it, but I'd like to know your game plan as my rule is one mod in and done so if you wanted more than one Pokemon...I'd think carefully on your request. -
Normal : Ursurang Fire : Rapidash Grass : Meganium Electric : Luxray Ice : Beartic Fighting : Primape Water : Pelipper Flying : Swellow Dark : Mightyena Steel : Klingklang Psychic : Musharna Ground : Dugtrio Ghost : Dusknoir Fairy : Granbull Bug : Accelegor Rock : Aerodactyl Poison : Swalot Dragon : Drudiggon I decided to put down Pokemon that are usually ignored and most of which can be quite useful or interesting. I've used many and Rapidash is probably one of the best I used in Hardcore which surprised me.
-
Sure, but you'll need to PM or give me a save somehow...otherwise I won't be able to help you. (None of those mons are super OP so I don't mind).
-
Sigh...looks like somebody decided to ruin my fun. Generally, I don't like to give super strong requested Pokemon as I like people to try out new things and get attached to them or be willing to learn something. I'm stubborn as I like to see variety over popularity any day. Personally, I would've went with Nincada and Duskull. Truthfully, somebody probably could've bartered me to giving three or four with good reasoning seeing as Florinia would sweep almost any ghost at that point with her Cradily.
-
Good Luck. I have a Nosepass and Piplup on there to you can do as you please to them. Both were "reset" to have good ivs and a good ability.
-
I'll mod in a Nosepass, but that's really it unless you can't get Pinecho and Burmy from headbutting trees. Beldum is a definite no and you can get him so early anyways (Episode 10). It also evolves way too early to even consider giving.
-
Duskull, Snorunt, Nincada, Phantump, and Rotom. Pick 2 of the three. That's all I'm giving you. Nothing more. Nothing less.
-
I'm going to be up front and say nobody is going to help you. Pseudos are meant to feel rewarding after going through hell to get one. The Beldum event took about a month (or was it two weeks) for everyone to figure out and it was only found out early by accident. There's a lot of hard work and you're simply just asking to give them to you all for free. It ain't right and if you are so desperate to use one, you'll have to tamper with Cheat Engine which has a good chance of corrupting your game. Cheating comes with a cost. Yeah, I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to notice I have the knowledge to do such things. If somebody asks to bring a certain weak or decent Pokemon available late in the game for a monotype, I might consider helping them out, but I will not give people OP Pokemon for the start of the game because they don't feel like using skills to win. I really did consider giving you a miserable version of your request that'd take 20 hours to get past Julia, but...I had second thoughts. So yeah...I'm just giving you a reality check that this ain't gonna happen.
-
Ah Blake he definitely is not an easy opponent. Getting rid of the Hail will make him easier, but his team is quite good. Rotom was the main problem for me, but I used his Mega against him. Often, it came down to a Walrein vs Walrein and seeing I couldn't do significant damage...I'd always lose. This is the end so nothing is going to be easy, but there is a fight harder than him coming up (and no its not Terra...though she's not too bad tbh).

The best area to grind is off of Lv 12 trubbish which often poison you and it's a long walk to the Pokemon center. I'm probably going to raise the levels there and add Mightyena (it'll be a low level) so that anything above LV 16 won't be super long or tedious. It'll still take a while, but monotypes are a pain to do at the start. Many of the changes I do are to make grinding less tedious because that is my biggest gripe with Rejuvenation. I pretty much had to Audino grind if I wanted to beat any leader due to the level spikes. It'll remove some of the pain grinding as it can take 6 hours to get everyone up to 18-20 (16-18 is the recommended level to fight Julia in a normal run). Edit: Also, I'm curious to see how your run went. If you could do a recap, I'd like to see as that is kind of interesting you didn't need Raticate.
-
Almost all moves work perfectly or near perfect. It might get a little funky if one side of the field fainted, but...nothing too problematic seems to have risen. Yes, Contrary does work.
-
I know the start is kind of a pain...so I'll probably raise the levels or make some Mightyena's appear in one of the alleys. For the time being, could you just PM your save and I'll just level up a Raticate for you.
