  1. In the pre field effect days, that's where you originally fought him. That's his secret hiding spot to get away from people. As for the whole police quest, I believe it'll activate if you rescue a certain set of four officers (not all five iirc), but you don't have to head back to the chief to activate it. It's a bit more clear where he is if you do the police quest, but the puzzle unlocks a hidden room.
  2. I don't ever remember seeing it in coral ward as it was always basically in Perdriot for me, though I could probably look up the exact locations where it can be found, I do believe it was shortened to two or three encounters (though still random) to find it.
  3. Admittedly, I do have a little trouble on this fight but I wouldn't say it's hard. But yeah, Bennett's team is kind of meh and I already had to swap out a few Pokemon by moving Scyther and Heracross back. If you outspeed him, it's easy. If you don't outspeed him, it's a bit scary. As for hazards, that's kind of an iffy thing right now. If a ton of people start using lots of hazards in game, I might try something but I don't even know if the AI is programmed to check for them or how it works. I'll likely wait until more people kind of play before giving a response. Trust me, hazards are a lifesaver in some battles like for that Cloyster. Good luck on Serra, but I know you can do it even with electric types. You did it with poison types after all. Once you beat Serra, I'm not sure if you want to wait or not as 1.9 is around the corner and I've been kind of adjusting stuff as we speak. I even fixed the TM error, added Dragon to Mega Sceptile, and other quick fixes missed. Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  5. That's 'cause it doesn't have hyper beam. I'm aware it can one shot most things unless under a light screen so seeing as it's giving people way too much trouble (even though there's like two focus sashes available) I lowered it to 65...now 60. That should let a lot of things barely survive if they have bulk though Psychic can kill still. If that still is too troublesome, I'll nerf it's attacks or Level 100 max defenses HYPER BEAMS.
  6. (maniacal laugh) As for the Sigmund Sirius fights. In Yuriev, Sigmund hands down is the better battle. He uses that field effect to his advantage, but due to the 12v6, he's not that difficult. If you fought him alone, he'd be one of the hardest fights in the game because he's that good. Sirius...is kind of weak in doubles especially with those numbers. What made him hard in earlier releases was Gen III type doubles instead of Gen IV (meaning you send out a Pokemon after one faints pronto instead of end of turn). The cove battles are quite more difficult to say which one is harder. I'd probably have to say Sigmund out of personal bias since he's one of my favorite characters and his levels are lower than Sirius to help balance it. Both are good and tense fights if you wish to choose it. Trust me, Sirius would be way harder if you weren't healed inbetween the orderly fights because those Orderlies are kind of good. As for the Megas and new Pokemon, in-game and competetive are two different things. Meaning what's good competetively may not be here. Choicing a Loudred would more or less make it a suicidal Pokemon just to dish out chip damage (Like Fern's Scizor or Sirius's Chandelure) as AI switching is not at competitive level...meaning many choices would not be so good. I do have two different set changes for Noel one for two different Mega options. Mega Kanga isn't as OP as people think, but he's on the wait until El's Mega appears list before including. If Noel is seen as too strong, I'll use the other Mega instead since it wasn't as insanely strong (I picked this one since it screws with your field effect strategies). And about Noel's Clefable, I did that to see how much people are against this rule breaker Pokemon. I though it'd get a zero vote so the results actually surprised me a bit. I might actually make a post about it in Reborn City since it really is strange. The only reason I would ever consider dropping a Leader's Ace is if there's a big upset or a huge vote (like 10-12 votes big).
  7. I swear at this point that Cinccino is just trolling with me. (It go a flinch from HP) http://postimg.org/image/mm6q53xfj/

  8. The poll is up but tomorrow expect Noel to be up and ready (also, I despise Cinccinos...why you gotta make testing hard?) Let's get this update on the road: Episode 9-1: Why So Sirius? I'm going to give an honorable mention to the orderly battle right before Sirius. That fight is quite difficult and in the olden days, I believe you didn't get healed beforehand (regardless thank god they heal you because that Sirius fight is HARD! It's really good grinding if you need it though. Also, I did an original test of Sirius that I barely one and was quite satisfied with his team...except I realized Manectric's attack stat sucks. I mean really sucks so I changed his moveset into all special based meaning...I had to go through that all again. I also gave Seviper a bit of a buff as well so hopefully that'll feel a bit more menacing. Vs Sirius So that battle started out with Chandelure against Jack the Grumpig. I then switched out to Stoutland to avoid a Shadow Ball. Given the thing is Scarfed (you didn't hear this from me) He tried Shadow balling for a turn before switching out to Hitmontop...arguably the most painful member on his team. I switched backed to Jack who confused it with Confuse Ray to avoid a Sucker Punch then he switched back into Chandelure after it got into the red from healing. I think I had Creepy Bird take it out with Hydro Pump (or was it Jack...it's hard to keep track of the minor stuff). Next came out Sirius's Mega, Manectric. Thank the lord he played dumb and used HP on Venomoth, but Venomoth just had to miss sleep powder then and there before dying to a flame burst. I then tried setting up a Quiver Dance with Shing (Lilligant), but that thing outspeed the next turn and killed her with Flame Burst. Hooray for stupidity. I don't know how but Pumba (Emboar) decided to come in and KO'd the demon with Head Smash or something. I just know he tanked to T-bolt or two strong attacks before KOing it. Next came out Hitmontop...again, but then he switched out to Porbopass which Psybeam chipped. That Probopass is no laughing matter as it was able to finish Jack off (it always puts a big ding in my team). Pumba came out and finished it off with a Super Power. Creepy Bird does what he does and finished Hitmontop off with Air Cutter before Honchkrow came out. I let Creepy Bird die so that Stoutland could come in and hit it hard with Retaliate. It just barely lives the attack (Stoutland outspeeding something? IKR?) and both die to its brave bird attack ending the battle. Picture of the team: The Mega Steelix battle really isn't worth mentioning honestly. It can tank attacks, but that's about it. Creepy Bird knocked it down to half rather easily with Hydro Pump. As for Pulse Abra, I'm like the only person who thinks that fight is actually not that hard. I beat it with Countdown's Explosion and two Sucker Punches from Curse (Spiritomb). Heck, I still had 3 other Pokemon who could take it down. Though I did nerf it afterwards to 65 so that special tanks could survive it more or less. Also, I thought the Meteor Grunts were way harder than the Abra (seriously, I wiped twice trying to get to the Pulse). But yeah, the I completely underestimated Sirius's competency. He's actually kind of tough, not Sigmund levels though and Sigmund is lower leveled than he is.
  9. Never. If I had to give an estimate it'd range from today and 20XX. (But seriously things have happened so just be patient as release dates are really hard to speculate at this point in time).
  10. I have to be honest in saying you can never be too detailed (well unless each description is like a page long then maybe you've gone a little too far). If you simply say you need help in a couple departments then...most people will be hesitant because they don't know what they're signing up for. What kind of coding program will a programer need to be experienced in? How skilled do the spriters have to be? How much time and commitment will be needed to work on this? If you simply run up to people saying you need help, they'll look at you and say what kind of help. Asking for help in a project is a very big thing and being professional and clear about it is key. Even the number of people is important to making it work. You wouldn't want a team of 8 when 4 would suffice as the other 4 would do nothing half the time (and smaller groups are easier to work with). It's also usually quite a commitment as everyone does expect the work to be equally done. I know your nervous and it can be quite nervous asking for help which is often why I ask a few questions and do some simple tests someone I know would work well with me would be able to answer quite easily. It's more of a clicking than anything.

  13. Well the first time I met Mr. Biggles was back in Episode VII's release and I had no idea what was down in this tunnel. My reaction was priceless because I didn't save.

  15. Let's just openly admit it, the Sigmund battles are way better than the Sirius ones. But yeah, most of the Episode 8 battles are easy, but not pushover levels (mostly because Cain likes to kill you with EQs and Sludge Waves). Good luck facing that Sigmund fight later. You're going to need it.
  16. If I do end up changing it to Shadow Ball, I'll throw the same TM near Amaria's boat in the shack so that people who missed out can get it too. The problem isn't that Shadow Ball is too OP imo, but the fact there is nothing TM wise that is practical outside of Charge Beam until Noel. If more TMs are added earlier in the game in a future episode, it'll be turned back into Shadow Claw. As for the said TM, it'll be based on a Poll during the Radomus section (which is the last section before 1.9 is released).
  17. I just saw that and...I must say that this is something that goes too far in more ways than one. Seriously, they should be allowed to fine people like that for being racist...but freedom of the press (though Libel is a thing but the goddamn internet is a pain to fight against). But yeah, that's an example of someone who should just burn in a pit of fire because they don't give enough damn about people. As for Media as a whole, I know this isn't super fitting, but it does a good job of showing what news should here. (Link won't let me upload it here)
  18. Honestly, El is going to be a complete mystery until we fight him. Smeargle and Ditto were his aces (Ditto will likely be his true Ace) and Snorlax has appeared in one of the Betas. It's more likely he'll have Eviolite Chansey since it tanks way more hits...but again, El is very mysterious since he only appeared very early in the League days. Noel I can at least reference old Pokemon of his and I'll probably only pick Blissey IF Clefable is dropped. That's a big IF. Now here's how the Poll works: I take a look at what people voted for and test Pokemon to see how well they function. Let's look at Florinia for example. The polls had a tremendous turnout for Axing Ferroseed and Gourgeist won the poll for the addition. If it weren't for the Poll, I probably would've tried Whimy out and axed Grotle thinking Ferroseed had to be required. The other thing to note is that vote numbers aren't so important. If a Pokemon wins only by one vote, the other Pokemon is/are still in the running. Generally, my final decision is to usually go for the less popular, more ignored Pokemon to give it some attention. I can't really say anything about this poll since many votes are so close. Like there's 6 candidates in the running right for two spots.
  19. ...I don't know when the AI will be fixed (maybe 19), but I'm just ROFLing right now because I just realized Crobat has no way to attack steel types on Corey's field so that AI problem really doesn't matter. I kind of wish Air Slash removed his field effect though as it'd make Corey even more menacing. I'm not going to change it since there are like 3 steel types available at this point in time (Klink, Forretress, Wormadam). I didn't even think about it. Crobat's Moveset is Roost, Nasty Plot, Air Slash, and Venoshock btw. Seriously, good job winning that Corey fight as the Mist fight is not easy at all. Mega Beedrill was another thing that got axed right away and Scolipede was so threatening it swapped places on to Corey's threat team. Seriously, that thing made me curl up into a ball the first time I fought it (it got nerfed 3 times).
  20. The sad part is that there is a giant gap if I nerf her even a smudge, but she almost needs it. Her Tentacruel and Nidoqueen are probably the best leads of any leader which that alone makes her so hard. It's a great wall which is why I try to carefully plan my moves and take care of them at the same time. Blissey and Dusclops were able to absorb their attacks like no tomorrow and if Shade gave out Shadow Ball, I would've won that fight so easily. I may actually switch the Shadow Claw TM out for Shadow Ball since the move really isn't that OP (and my god do we need it). Good job taking Aya out. She's definitely going to be tough no matter what your team is. Fun fact: She's one of the only leaders not to run adjusted EVs on her Pokemon. Julia is the other Leader. So basically all her Pokemon have a split 68 EV spread across the board.
  21. In a perfect world, Scrafty would be moved until post Shade as that thing would easily sweep Shade if it sets up 1 or 2 DDances pretty much making all the other fighting types scrapped or dropped...killing variety. It was either that or removing its Egg Moves which I think most casuals players would prefer the formal. I wanted to give the other fighting types a chance since...that's half the reason scraggy was pushed back so far anyways. And Redo, don't be hatin' on Staravia. A Pokemon may not look good on paper, but sometimes weak Pokemon can be awesome. Look at Pelipper aka Creepy Bird. It's definitely not my strongest Pokemon, but he certainly has saved my hides many times such as the Bennett battle where he finished off 4 of his Pokemon like a boss. I'd say give Staravia the chance it deserves. I change my vote to Staravia!
  22. Yeah, you can't get houndour/carvanha until post Shelly. Technically, you shouldn't really face them until post Shade (I made all the Dark types really hard to get...and moved Scrafty until post Aya) as their levels are 42-45 iirc. I believe they have a team of 6 Pokemon which actually makes a quick nod to their Gen III counterparts. As for Corey, I can't really make a suggestion as you have two completely different teams to face depending on your choices. There's a weaker defensive team for Corey's normal field or a hard hitting bulk team for his Mist Field. That's going to be a hard decision to make as Corey can even handle third staged Pokemon rather well in the Mist Field. I guess my vote will go to Bunnelby...tho.
  23. Well the poll for Hardcore Noel's revamp is up on my run...honestly have no idea where this one will go.

  24. If you're having problems with Archeops, see if a Sucker punch will knock it down into the yellow or below half its HP. Archeops can't do anything when it doesn't have HP on its side. I think Altaria was the only one who gave me trouble, but if you want to gamble try your luck with Earthquakes as sometimes they will be pitifully weak. Actually, I used that trick to have Typhlosion beat a Gliscor.
  25. Technically, you can't get back into Reborn City until E16, but at the end of each episode, the Game temporarily let's you go back to do some events and such. There are a bunch of Ice and Rock types available to you so you can use those to try and beat that Altaria. I mean like any Ice Type that's not Delibird would probably help you out a lot.
