I wanted at least one thing that could be 'unique' to a Pokemon in a species. Of the three, Nature, Ability and IVs, IVs have the least impact (and the most variance) so it makes sense to me that those be the things that determine a Pokemon's individuality... it's right in the name, after all. In short I have no intention of implementing an IV changer. If it were to happen it would be at the cost of capsules or the psychologist, and I think no one wants that.

you got me. this is pretty much. as a side note, i wasn't as concerned with having the admins have rocks, but the grunts do tend to center around the typical team baddies types of dark/poison + their own rock. i did not want to include so many, however, to a point that it made the game unbalanced especially for fire starters in that first factory

i actually did find a copy of episode 1 on my comptuer that i could upload. no links still exist for it currently though; it was only uploaded to the site, and has since been removed for updates. weird note: even for areas that already exist, save files are incompatible between episode 1 and all other episodes because they received changes in essentials at that time. so i don't think new saves could be loaded anyway. anyway, to be honest, it's really not that different than it is now, just, fifth gen, two protags, shitty music, and a whole lot of hate for grass types

Amateur, as far as I'm concerned you're saving me a lot of time and energy with your critiques so by all means keep it up. That's part of the reason I feel comfortable focusing on other things, because I can trust that things will still get done well here. But for Lotad/Ludicolo line, let's skip the afro and keep it to colorscheme, retaining the split half white/red thing with their hats. I think something more subtle like that will be cooler for people when they realize what it is. I like that last Mightyena, too, I think over the black/red one.

I like the retouched blue-red Chimecho that was posted before, but with no aura-glow. I think the aura should be saved for certain Pokemon, your previous suggestion of Lucario definitely being among them.

ADC Kennen is a thing, but it's mainly an ADC for people who hate themselves. Support Kennen is a thing for people who hate everyone else, right along with Support Teemo, Support Nidalee, and Support Katarina.

I feel like I can breathe again! We're cleaning up some stuff, and I just deleted 17000 banned spam accounts. It's feeling roomy in here. Aside from that we're doing some other general housekeeping stuff I wanna talk about. For one thing, the Community Rules link that is now omnipresent on the side-bar has been updated with both server and forum rules, newly applying all server rules to the forum as well. While this will not be a dramatic change, we have not enforced things like chatspeak restrictions on the forum in the past, whereas we now will. Accompanying this, we've reworked the warning system on the forum. Previously when warned, a user would gain a 'warning point' which would then stick around until the end of eternity. No more! The warning system has been tailored to our community rules and will award different points based on the offense which will automatically go away after a certain amount of time, also dependent on the offense. This will be applied to minor trespasses such as double posting as well, but keep in mind, aside from receiving fewer warning points for lesser issues, not all points are created equal. A point for double posting may go away after a couple weeks, but a point for disrespect will be around for a couple months. So what happens if you get too many points? Well, at 5 points or more, a user is no longer eligible for Ace Member status (and they will lose that status if they already have it). At 9 points you'll be automatically placed on a post-preview for one month, meaning everything you post has to be approved by a forum mod. At 10 points, it is a regrettable game over, and you will be automatically banned. ...But really, hopefully no one goes that far. All this talk about discipline and punishments may sound iffy, but really this is just organizing a more consistent system. A few light warnings and points might be thrown out for meandering minor issues, but it's not like we as a moderation team are going full-aggro on you, so try not to worry. As a side note, all previous warnings have reset to accommodate this system, so everyone is currently on a clean slate for points. We also have some good news for Ace Members: As an additional perk, and to accommodate our move to Pokemon Showdown, we will be offering server Voice status (+) to Aces with some other conditions. Voiced users have expanded permissions, such as the ability to speak during moderated chat, access to BreloomBot's miscellaneous commands (not the moderation ones, settle down), and other etc systems, as well as general higher rank and respect in the server environment. Aces, see the Nightclub forum for more details. Additionally, the PO server has been officially retired. May it rest in sweet peace. As a parting note: "darn i thought this would be for episode 14 now im disappointed :c" As a certain leader would say, Build a little bridge, and get over it.

That's completely valid. One problem with the story with Team Meteor is I was kind of making things up as I went at the beginning because I didn't expect the game to go anywhere. I made the first two episodes as a community game and under the expectation I'd get bored and drop it after a couple weeks. ...as you can see, that didn't happen.

Kennen is my most played top and although he's out meta currently he's still a good mid, so I recommend him. He has a lot of easy match ups top lane and in mid he can out sustain mana-based opponents as well as roam fairly well. He's also about to receive some QoL buffs which might put him on an up-swing.

Regarding the "limitless stream of heinous acts" it's not for the sake of being dark and xXedgyXx. It's that one of their apparent goals is to purge the region, which means it makes sense for them to be hitting all parts of the region, and more importantly, areas without conflict are really boring.

I might still be misunderstanding this, but I never intended for players to go back to old versions. I just make changes I deem appropriate for what will be the final product. Players circumvent some of those changes by going to older episodes to obtain changed things, and there's not really anything I can do about that.

i love everyone who's contributing to this, and especially amateur the mudkip line looks great, and i also like it just a bit darker. i can easily fix that up myself though backsprite size can be 160^2 OR 192^2. doesn't matter either way I'll take care of Breloom Blaziken and Camerupt lines. I already started Blaze, and the other two are special.

It's happening~~~ Reborn's Showdown server is up and ready for action! You can find it linked from both the site and forums, as well as at http://reborn.psim.us/ or http://www.pokemonreborn.com/battle/ It'll be the the same old Reborn, but on a brand new system. It may take some adjusting for veterans of PO (jk I've been on PO for four years now and this is an easy change)- but it's also bringing with it a bit of new functionality. For instance-- permanent rooms! We're handling this a bit differently since, once created, rooms won't just go away. Anyone is free to buy themselves a ticket to their own permanent room of choice and ownership thereof, available now from the Site Shop. But that isn't the only thing Showdown's bringing to the counter-- also in the shop, you can now purchase a completely custom avatar for yourself to use on our showdown server! This can be from your Trainer Card, one you made yourself, or something else entirely! To accommodate Showdown's debut in Reborn, the Site Shop has been absolutely loaded up for both of these deals, but there is still the chance that the goods will go fast, so snag yours before the going's gone, and join us on the server now. I will keep the PO server up for a few days more but once everything is stable and set to transition, it will be going to sleep for good.
