That and also the fact that's it takes no mega slot for some reason, It's stupid and bullshit and boring and should have stayed in the anime were it belongs. That said I can't downvote froakie right now, it's a well designed pokemon with a great movepool and an awesome ability, Much worse starters are still on the list. Quote

And really, the only reason it's somewhat effective is because it's a good spikes user.
