"Well, this is a corrupted form of mana derived from plant mana, Who is to say it will not empower what it strikes with foul and tainted energy? Or worse, empower it with some horrific knowledge."

Posted

"That sounds like a deal! But no seriously, let's uh, try not to throw it at bad dudes, we don't want to empower them now do we?", Solomon performs some pre flight checks, while eating pork rinds.

"naah it'll be lot more interesting if we hit the weaker enemy with it, since you know, it'll make the fight more interesting." Leon replied to Solomon.

He's amazed and slightly amused with Solomon's magic controling the books, watching him making a Helicopter from those books. "mind if I join you on your Magic Books ride?"

Posted

"You say interesting, I hear annoying and unnecessary" the rotors on the helicopter starts to spin "Eh, I ain't stopping you".

LOTUS chimed in.

"No. Shooting completely unpredictable magic in a fight is bad. Don't do that. If you do that and you strenghten an opponent at some point I am going to shout at the top of my speakers."

Isobel sighed. "I... ah, um, I'm going to admit I'm not totally comfortable with the thought of horrible mutating magic being thrown around in here even...?"

"Hand over the unstable, dark magical ordinance," Alexandria tells them, "Unless any of the mages here can come up with a reason why this is a bad idea, I shall shoot it into the local sun and that will be the end of it.  It shall be cleansed."

Posted

"I like that plan." Isobel sighs in relief, whereas LOTUS' pixel eyes change position again, "looking" at Alexandria. "Another AI, huh? Do you have radio capability?"

Posted

"I am capable of communicating through the use of radio waves," Alexandria confirms, "However, direct wireless interfaces are impossible due to the Faraday cage incorporated into my frame.  Wireless communication is thus restricted to voice only."

"I was thinking of using binary radio bursts should long-range communication at some point be necessary, unless any of the rest of you actually have radios. It's efficient and with a little bit of encryption secure, and the benefits of communication like that can't be overstated."

"An A.I. is an artificial intelligence, a living being built like any other machine using extremely advanced technologies," Alexandria explains, remembering to keep it simple for the medieval people this time, "Radio waves are a form of light that most life forms cannot see.  Some machines can perceive radio waves, which makes them good for fast, silent communication."

Posted

"Oh wow, so we are talking about at least some of us being from backwards worlds then. Alright, a radio is a device that transmits information, and it transmits it in waves -- modulations of energy -- because what it transmits with is... more or less a kind of light far beyond the visible spectrum. As for AI, if you look veeeery very closely at my card, you will notice I am not in fact human, or an organic creature at all. Essentially, I'm a created device that can think."

"LOTUS... no need to be rude..."

"Does no one here actually have a fucking phone? Seriously? We've got a fucking robot, demons, weird engineer dudes, and a guy in a mech or some shit... Hell WE'RE IN A MOVING TANK CASTLE THING! AND SOME HOW NOT A SINGE ONE OF YOU BROUGHT A PHONE!?"

Kyle growls angrily as he continues maneuvering out of the rock and shit.
