Most of the stuff here is is WIP, but I'll be getting this character sheet done ^_^


Name: Van "Crimson" Arlo

Race: Skeleton [bone Fiend]

Age: 175

Appearance:

Due to being a Skeleton. Van hides his bony body from humans by keeping in his armor. His armor consists of steel plates coated with brass to make it look golden. The armor stands at around 6,2 looking like a tall human. However the only armor notice able is his helmet and boots due to the crimson cloak he places over them. A singular black cloth goes down the middle of the cloak, like a stripe that will flow with the wind. The eye holes for the helmet are four vertical lines. If you stare into said holes, you'll see nothing but darkness. If he gets angry he can create two circular lights that look like fierce blue eye. His scythe has a dark oak handle with a black blade and a red top piece that stretches across the top of the blade

Personality:

He tends to seem cold towards people due to him seeing that beating around the bush is a waste of time, as well as unintentionally intimidating others with his presence and tone of voice. Though it seems like he has no compassion towards others in his speech, he shows it in his actions. He has a small grudge against humans after the war between them but nothing major. His only goal is finding his lover, if that means he has to be someone's lap dog to gain some clue or information so be it. However, if the party's intentions somehow hinder his main objective he won't stand ideally by watching. If words won't work, he won't be afraid to clash steel with another man.

Additional: Cannot be used with polearms that do not have an affixed blade or some sort. Cannot be a piercing weapon.

Effects: The user creates a constant updraft beneath their feet using air magic. making the wind go at an angle can push the user forward.
Additional: It lasts as long as the user can maintain a constant gust of wind. The higher one wants to achieve requires more energy, same with how fast the user wishes to go.


Background:

Van doesn't know much about outside the castle walls. Most of his small amount of knowledge was from the battle field. It was during this time that he met and soon fell in love with another soldier. After multiple years of holding the line Van proposed to his love, vowing after the fighting had ceased they'd wed. But just after that day, the humans retreated and the gate was ordered to be closed. Everything seemed fine but someone was missing. His lover had not returned from the battle field in over 2 weeks. To add to this no traces of her body were found putting her MIA. She did leave something in her absence though, a black and crimson cloak as well as a scythe donning the same colors. She had custom ordered just for him. That's when Van convinced himself that maybe she'd return eventually, whether it be through the front door or appearing in a different form. So he waited, days become weeks, weeks became months, months became years. So long in fact they'd announced the reopening of the gate.

Fast forward to the present, Van then knew what he had to do, if she wasn't going to come back then he'd go out there and find her. His family disagreed with his actions saying she was dead long ago but their words fell on deaf ears, or lack there of. He grabbed the crimson cloak and scythe left by his lover and bore a new name for himself "Crimson". He only searches for information about his lover, whether she was taken as a prisoner of war or died long ago. If someone dares try to get in his way, may god have mercy on them.

Name: Morty the plague carrier
Race: Bog Beast I require the Template you used and you may only have one. They give you the bonuses inherit to them so I require you to properly notate it. Please do.
Bog beast or "Swamp Creatures" are huge plant like creatures living in the swamp. Bog beasts may represent a type of conglomerate elemental of earth and water.
((Its mixture between mold/primal spirit in this world, In Morty's case. He's part undead as well since he was reanimated into a bog beast.)) As above, you can only have one Template. So no... no it isn't. I 'm not sure about you but there's a reason I said in the part about templates you can only have one because of stuff like this. This is along of the line of "oh, I'm this and thiiiis. Did I forget to mention I was also this too?" Primal Spirits also can't be undead. They don't work like humans and when they die are destroyed and return to the element of that they belong. A person can't become one becasue they didn't exist as one. A Primal Spirit is literally a living being that is the element it's formed of. a.k.a that fire you made? It's alive just not powerful enough to be able to move or think. The ground you walk on? Also alive. That water you're fishing in? Alive. Reanimation also doesn't work in this Universe. You can't die and become something else. Being reanimated in and of itself isn't really possible without being extremely dangerous.
Age: 140
Appearance: Morty is a bald pale man that stands at 6'7 tall, hunchback and quite muscular for a zombie. Morty retains most of his former druid attire and wears a huge draping brown cloak with matching shoulder pauldron with a symbol of oak tree engrave on it. Morty's eyes are just empty eye sockets and his face is all wrinkly and aged. Most of his skin is covered in moss, fungus, and stitches.
Personality:
Class: Druid/Warrior So, what abilities does he get access to? There's no mention of it at all here other than Warrior ((the base one for Martial Arts)). Druid itself can't be a primary ability as it's not one that exists, Arcane, Warrior, Thief, and Faith are the 4 class attributes. Classes themselves don't matter it's the Lesser ability attributes that do. Classes are soley for the purpose of flavor and knowing what you are in universe. it should be something more like I showed above Druid [Arcane/Warrior] ((or any combo you want.)) with your primary being bolded. Please use the proper notation.
Background: "The balance between life and death must be preserved, if one of them cease to exist, another one shall take its place. that's the circle of life and it's my job to make sure that this cycle stays that way."
Before he became this abomination and came to Castle Dour, Morty was one of the druids in a nearby forest. He served and took an eternal oath of preserving the wild till death do him apart. Well, apparently that time didn't come too long. The siege of Castle Dour has just begun and the groove was in the midst of it. Destruction and chaos spread throughout the forest and none of its inhabitants was spared during this siege. All the druids abandon their oath and flee from the forest except for Morty. He remained loyal to the very end and defended the wildlife as much as he could but unfortunately, The noble druid got slain in the process.
In his final moments, Morty accepts his fate and lays down underneath a shade of a tree. The spirit of the forest acknowledge his bravery and decided to make Morty its host body. The groove came to life and drags Morty's dead carcass deep in the forest swamp and a magical parasite was planted inside Morty's dead body and was preserved during the ongoing destruction of his homeland.
40 years has past after the sieging of Castle dour, The groove was restored to its normal self. Morty awakens from his slumber and breaks out from the pits of the swamp, only to realize that he's been reanimated into a swamp thing. This was both a blessing and a curse for Morty as he tries to figure out where he will go from here. The undead druid heard the news and leaves the swamp and sets foot on the reopened Castle Dour. Maybe there he'll find a place to fit in.

Please read stuff I say later on in regards to suggestions for others as well. I mentioned that the Plot begins within Castle Dour therefore the characters must start within and be denizens of the Castle since it starts BEFORE the door opens. I'd like to not repeat myself more than I have to lol.

My text is in Red. ((I removed the abilities to save some space and make it a bit smaller of a post. After all with your calss not in order the abilities... didn't matter much yet so you'll have a chance to adjust them as such.)) I hope you find this information helpful to writing your character and really, I'm only getting on your case for notation stuff cause it's really important. I need to know what character are capable of and so do the other players. You also need to keep your sheet updated during this RP. Like... I'm not kidding you will be putting down more information as they learn abilities etc... so they need to be in order and clean for even your own benefit.

Characters Accepted thus far: Murdoc's Regent, Pyon Pyon's Lotus Conitello. I'll be linking those two into the Accepted Characters section when I get the time to do so. Other characters I am still collaborating on or allowing a bit of extra time to finish their apps in some cases. If you finish yours in a already made post, please give me a heads up that you updated it. I'm not going to go back and read your apps everyday to find out if your finished so gimme a heads up if you do.

Thanks for the heads up. Actually it wasn't finish and i was gonna ask you the moment i got home but it looks that you got to it first. Sorry about trouble man, maybe i'm being too ambitious in creating this char that i forgot to shoot some question first. I'll make it simpler and let you know when it's really done.

Sorry for the double post... but not sorry. This relevant so I don't mind being the host and all.

Small Update: Accepted Characters Lesser Abilities have been added to the Lesser Ability Index. The descriptions have been made more generic to fit the widest array of characters possible that choose to use them. I'd ask that when designing new Lesser Abilities players keep in mind that these abilities are meant to be usable by all that have the access to them.

Working on other apps from Players that are considered finished. I will look at no WIPs until they are actually complete. ((I might give them a glance over but I'd never accept them or build any opinion on them until they were finished. It'd be mostly limited to commenting on things one can improve to better one's character etc...))

Name: Garruk "The Apex Predator"

Race: Felid Humanoid Atrocity [beastman] (Predominantly possessing felid - or catlike - traits with a hint of other unknown species, along with his current "human" traits). Garruk cannot definitively tell anyone of his legitimate race. Garruk isn't even sure how he exactly came into being, except he has always known to possess human traits as well as other feral instincts mostly in the domain of cats. Although Garruk has discovered other traits within that are not of catlike or human origin.

Will finish this bit by bit a little later.

Pretty much. I just really don't want characters that are or were Free Races beings at any point in their lives. That's not the point of this RP, therefore... at least imo.... don't fit nicely or... at all really in here. I want the players to really be in the shoes of monsters and to play characters that... might actually be hard to play at first since they don't necessarily share the same world views. I don't want the human element for characters I want it to feel... a bit more strange...alien even. This game is about Monsters. The character's should come from that perspective and have that perspective, never one of a Free Race.

Now would a Rip van Winkle thing be too farfetched for this Huku? Like some sleep spell/icemancer freeze/deep meditatimg hibernation (going for a Warrior). Kinda want my guy to be "older" than the Castle's age, but not have too terribly aged physically during that time for some reason I'm sure can be readily invented. Kinda give maybe a "holy shiet I've been asleep for how long" kinda thing. It would play completely into what I got in mind, because said character probably couldn't live for 100 and change years.

I only ask because I kinda want the guy to "know" about humans somewhat, and events like this have been done before in stories.

Hmmm the thing is... I kinda want to limit the knowledge of the Free Races, I want them to seem more or less like enigmas to most of the characters. I kinda want them to not exactly know the world they are going out into. While some may know or are old enough even fro them it should be pretty fuzzy after all, it's been 110 years. They probably have a hazy understanding at best, and some of them only ever saw them at the Battle of Castle Dour, the night before the Gates Shut. ((Or "The Night the Dark Receded.")) so they have a terribly skewed sense of what they are/were. They all got angry at the creatures that forced them to be locked inside for what probably felt like an eternity.

So, if you go that path, tread it with care. I'm not saying it couldn't be done,but one should be careful with how it'sexecuted, if that makes sense.

1. It's entirely up to you, there will be a few main gods such as Nocturne, the God of Night and Songs, but not many will have super established religions. You can entirely create your own faith for this game if you so desire. I'd actually love it since then YOU get to personalize how your faith goes. I can even mark it down as a recognized one if others want to get in on the fun XD. Humans and the rest of the Free races definitely have their own religions, most of which that don't accept monster followers ((because the gods choose who gets their power.)) They can follow it but will never be able to receive powers from that god ((basically it would be just for flavour.))

2. They don't exist within it's walls. The Free Races are not allowed within Castle Grounds. They don't really trust them enough... but really a lot of higher ups truly hate them and so do their lackies. They'd be dead within seconds if they found out one was on the grounds. Pretty sure your character could find some lovely monster ladies though lol.

3. Nope. I want there to be players that do not if that's what they choose. After all, things will be going on in the Castle. I imagine you'd want to go with Thief as primary and possibly mage as another class. ((inb4 remark about how making politician based Abilities, Thief Arts is somehow biting political community.))

Alright I can give him the desire to expand his collection with Free Race Females.

And I was thinking to use Thief as primary class, but I'm not sure if Puppeteer / Contractor abilities would fit in there. Mage might be the better option with Thief being a low second class.

Finally finished it, sensei~

Name: Isolda Grace

Race: False Shinso [Living Flesh] The term Shinso has been used to denote vampires who are born as vampires on their own. If one could define a hierarchy of vampires, Shinso would be the one of the highest classes. However, the false Shinso class is unique to Isolda due to one reason: it is the result of an attempt to artificially turn a human into a Shinso. While this granted Isolda all of the perks of a Shinso, it still has a drawback. Unlike other Shinso, she has a need to drink or suck blood on a regular basis. Otherwise, she will turn into a berserk demon without a shred of reason (but with all of her capabilities) once she hits a certain threshold of thirst and will only turn back if she intakes more blood.

Age: 640

Appearance: Isolda is ultimately stuck in the body of a 12 year old girl due to the fact that the transition to False Shinso happened to her at the age of 12. She has long blonde hair extending to her lower back and blue eyes. Her body is fairly slender and has almost no curves. She's the type to wear rather elegant clothing such as lolita fashion but varies her wardrobe fairly often. Her skin is quite cold to the touch. Though her fangs are retractable, she prefers to leave them out whenever she is in Castle Dour.

In her more demonic form, her skin and hair all turn a pitch black. Her eyes become completely white as the pupil and iris lose all color. Non-functional black wing-like structures erupt from her back along with a long tail. Her hands end up becoming claws and her feet have three front toes and a back hook claw at the heel. Lastly, two pairs of horns erupt from the side of her head.

Personality: Isolda is a fairly prideful girl. Despite the fact that she is not a true Shinso, she still takes pride in her strength. This leads to her coming off as quite haughty. At the same time, she is also snarky to others and has fun calling others out on more inane actions. Despite being cut off by many from the Free Races, she especially enjoys being able to mingle with humans. Though, Isolda does hold some resentment over the fact that her interactions with humans could only ever be ephemeral.

Class: Undying Mage [Arcane, Warrior]

Lesser Abilities:

Tier 1:

Name of Ability: Aikido Specialist

Type: Martial Art

Ability Class: Passive

Type of Damage: None

Range and Number of Targets: N/A

Effects: The user is able to perform the martial art of Aikido proficiently. Training her Aikido skills has led to better understanding of its use and proper technique. Isolda is by no means a master but is a highly capable student of the art.

Name of Ability: Hand of Ice

Type: Arcane

Ability Class: Activated

Type of Damage: Frost

Range and Number of Targets: Contact range, single target

Effects: On contact with an enemy, the enemy gets covered in a ten centimeter layer of ice.

Name of Ability: Blood Steal

Type: Racial

Ability Class: Passive

Type of Damage: Negative Energy

Range and Number of Targets: Contact range, single target

Effects: A Vampire fights with the intent to draw blood from their opponent. Whenever Isolda draws blood with her attacks, she converts the fluid to Negative energy and absorb it, returning a third of the damage dealt as health and energy.

Additional: While the ability mentions blood, Vampires are healed by nearly any fluid needed to sustain life as they change it into Negative energy to fuel themselves.

Tier 2:

Name of Ability: Arrows of Ice

Type: Arcane

Ability Class: Activated

Type of Damage: Piercing, Frost

Range and Number of Targets: 15 meter radius in front of her

Effects: The user forms fifteen arrows of ice, each 1 meter long, and projects them towards the front. Anything (including inanimate objects) that gets pierced will have a ten centimeter radius on its surface frozen.

Signature Abilities:

Name of Ability: Boundary of the Ice Queen

Type: Arcane

Ability Class: Activated

Type of Damage: Frost

Range and Number of Targets: 50 meter radius

Effects: This spell freezes everything solid and liquid within the effective range, leaving a layer of ice over everything. At the same time, the temperature within ten meters of the caster drops to Absolute Zero with the temperature outside of that range following a sigmoid curve pattern in relation to radius.

Background:

Isolda could never understand humans. She never understood the contradictory desires of the human who killed her family within their own manor and turned her into a false Shinso as part of his research into immortality. She never understood the contradictory nature of the human who begged for his life to her berserk demonic form even though he was the one who treated that life as less than his. She never understood the contradictory actions of townspeople who would willingly ask for help and then shun that same person who provided it because they were different. Even so, she still desired to understand humans.

For centuries, she wandered around from town to town, leaving before people realized that the girl who looked like she was twelve was not aging. The continuous forced shifting of environments in order to avoid being attacked by beings of the Free Races wore down on her psyche over time.

Eventually, she found her solace in Castle Dour, a place where someone like her would be accepted. After a few years, she rose up within the castle as a zealous front-line combatant who has won many battles with her overwhelming ice magic.

However, the years of stalemate have not been good on the false Shinso. The girl who desired to understand humans had been cut off from humans for many years. However, that would finally change with the Castle finally reopening.

Only part I have issue with. You're definitely not a field Commander. Tier 2 Magic? It's really not that high. Look... Times isn't that high rank in the castle himself and he's got Tier 7 Access. So, yea change that part. Player's defintiely aren't going to be large and in charge. At least not anytime soon.

Also, since there's so many WIPs floatin' around and I'm having trouble keeping track Anybody who's App is ready and would like to have it be evaluated please leave a message here stating so. I will get to them post haste! ((if I've yet to respond to a PM as well just poke me again I'll get to that too XD>))

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd Approved. Hukuna Seal of Approval. Damn, Boom, POW! ((Sorry, yours was just pretty much done so I kept moving past it since I was pretty sure I could be like yea, this is fine *stamp* move to the next. Whoops!))

Update: Added Arcene to the Approved list and added all his Lesser Abilities to the Lesser Ability Index.

Becauuuuuuuuuuuuuse I caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.... and don't really want to double post this quickly and because it's like... a single line and bleh... so yea not worth it.

Mine is almost finished as soon as I figure the abilities out. Can Demon Aspects count as Lesser Abilities or are they something entirely different?

They can if you want. They don't have to be but certainly can be. Most Aspects would count as such and tend to have around the power level of low tier lesser abilities so yea, I could easily see it being a thing XD. They still wouldn't count to your total cost, they'd be racial features, however I could add them to the Lesser Ability pool for them to be used by other players if they wanted. It just adds more stuff to the Lesser Ability Pool which is pretty nice.
