  1. As @Kamikaze_Fritz said, Torchi is not available to be caught -yet- Most of the other can be obtained later but before the first gym, none, only the started you, well, started with.. Here's a tip, don't do like most pokemon games and just stick with a team, change it according to the leader you're facing, in the case of Venam, I suggest you get a Woobat, raise it's friendship to max (running around can help, tho' it might take some time) and evolve it to Swoobat or catch a Scatterbug on Route 1 and evolve it to Vivillon (In which it will learn Psybeam which can help).
  2. Most laptops have PgUP and PgDown in the Up and Down keys, you can use them, all you need to do is hold the Fn key between the Ctrl and Windows key and then press Up or Down. This can also be used to quickly scroll through items as well as it will go a full page down or up depending of the key pressed instead of going one by one. The Fn key is basically a key that alter the functionality of other keys on your laptop, for example, my F1 key on my laptop mutes the volume if I hold Fn while pressing it.
  3. @Tikkit, like @Nocturne93 said, I think it's high time GameFreak start creating difficulty sliders on their games, they just simply can't keep going like this.. Like I said in the original post, I played through Sword and Shield with 4 restrictions on myself and it was still a snooze fest.. The only lick of challenge I had was the champion and that's cuz he was overleveled, his Pokemons were Lv63~Lv65 while mine were Lv55~Lv59.. And I still won only losing 2 Pokemons on my side.. I get that GameFreak wants to keep the games casual for new players but that just alienates the old audience that think these games are waaay too easy.. Placing different types of difficulties could fix this issue easily, giving challenge to old players while keeping it casual for new ones, again, most of us aren't children anymore, Pokemon has been around for decades, GameFreak NEEDS to understand that they have an adult audience as well and not just casual children that never played Pokemon in their lives..
  4. @TharTV, didn't played Sun/Moon but X/Y was very easy.. Gym leaders only had 3 pokemons (except for the first 2 that had only 2) and the elite 4 only had 4 pokemons in their team, giving you a massive advantage over them and the game gives you, for free, right after the second gym, a Lucario with the Lucarionite and the Mega-Ring.. Haven't tried TemTem tho' but might as well take a look later
  5. Just wanted to share this here as we wait for v13.. A lil backstory first, I started playing Pokemon ever since gen1 but only really got into it by gen3, that's the time I considered myself a Pokemon Fan and had some interesting stories in relation to the series, when Black and White was about to come out I asked a cousin of mine who worked at Saraiva (A brazilian bookstore that also sells games) to hide a copy for me so when I passed there by Saturday I would have one and, fair enough, he did, even tho' all copies were already sold out by day 1 I got mine on a Saturday (day 4 I believe?) because of that freaking legend! Gen6 was really special (at least the story of how I got it) since I went to Barra Shopping (one of the biggest malls in Rio de Janeiro) with my at the time crush at ONE IN THE MORNING for the event, sadly we didn't managed to get a copy since most of them were pre-ordered and we got there 30mins after the event started but I did managed to win a commemorative headband by winning the tournament of Pokemon Stadium, after that we went at 1:30AM in a Saraiva that was at a 2:30 drive from there and literally CAMPED at the door until they opened and got our version! Tho' the story of how I got it is exciting, gen6 turned out to be very disappointing in many regards.. By gen 7 I didn't care much but played it anyway and the only reason I played gen8 was because it was gifted to me on xmas, I had no intention to own Pokemon Sword but here it is, siting on my shelf, collecting dust.. Even tho' I tried to make gen8 exciting by placing a couple rules on myself it was still disappointing.. (For the people curious, the rules were: only normal type Pokemon, no dymanaxing, no grinding and battle style had to be on Set at all times) I don't like the road current pokemons game have been treading since gen6, in which every new version needs a new gimmick.. gen6 was megas and I was fine with it since some Pokemon that were really terrible (my favorite one, Mawile, as an example) really started to shine even tho' tehre were Pokemon that clearly didn't need it (Lucario, Mewtwo..), gen7 had the Z-Moves and I couldn't care less, it's existence wasn't a bother to me but also didn't please me, it was just yet another gimmick but by gen8 both megas and z-moves were scrapped for dynamaxing and now I just give up.. Not to mention how easy most of these games are, and no, I don't like GameFreak hiding behind the "It's a game for children" excuse when this game has things like Nature, IV, EV and Abilities (things that children clearly wouldn't understand), besides, most people who grew up with this game are already, well.. Grown ups.. Now compare it to fanmade games like Reborn and Rejuvenation.. Sure these fanmade games aren't as polished and take a long time to come out but that's expected since most of them is made by either just one guy or a small development team with no budget and even tho' there's all these hurdles these fanmade games are what ignited my love for Pokemon again, specially Rejuvenation.. GameFreak should really be learning something with them, specially when currently I am more hyped for a version on a fanmade game that isn't even finished instead of Gen9.. My final thoughts here are, keep up the good work Jan, Zumi and everyone that helps this game, you clearly created something special here, wish you people were the ones directly involved with the main series.. No really.. I meant it..
  6. 1. It does, it's even better if you get one with Clorophyl and add it to a sunny team, his stats are better than Vileplume to begin with. 2. Sadly you're stuck in there for a while.. There is no truck guy.. 3. Yeah Pyroar is just bad indeed, I only used one in ghost gym and that's it 4. Speon is always better than Gothitelle, specially if it has Magic Bounce, you can also try to get lucky mining the rocks (or use the save trick where you save, check the rock and then reload if it doesn't have what you're looking for) and try to get a Light Clay since Espeon can learn Reflect and Light Screen which can come in handy in double battles (or even singles) and make up for it's "squishness"
  7. I think it's the Vileplume, Oricorio, Pyroar and Ghothitelle.. - Vileplume isn't a very good Grass/Poison but, rejoice! One of the Help Request of Terajuma gives you a Bulbasaur which is a good replacement for it while still maintaining the type - Oricorio is so-so tbh.. It does has it's moments and I did win the 6th gym using one but aside from that it's a good idea to switch it out.. If you're looking for an Electric type there's a Shinx you could had gotten on the Hotel in Gaeren but if you didn't there was also that Voltorb very early by buying that guys expensive pokeballs in Gaeren too but if you ALSO didn't got that there's Grubbins in Terajuma Forest so you can get a Vikavolt but if you're looking for a Flying type I usually go with Swoobat (Which is caught on the seweers of Gaeren), Swanna (If you picked the abandoned egg on Akuma Town) or Talonflame (Right in the beginning of the game), Swoobat can be a force to be reckon with if he has the Simple Ability and you get Calm Mind, Swanna is a nice Water/Flying that works nicelly on rain teams and Talonflame is just a good Pokemon in general, not as good since the nerf on gen7 but still pulls it's weight and by the next gym he can learn Acrobatics. - Pyroar was always a weird one to me.. His highest status is S.Atk but his best ability is Moxie which increases Atk.. There are MANY other Fyre Types and even Normal Typers better than him.. If you're looking for Fire Types there's already the previous mentioned Talonflame, you can get a Macargo on the Safari Zone, a Camerupt by getting a Numel on the hidden Xen Base in Sheridan or even just play with the Growlith next to Terajuma to let him join you but if you want a Normal Type I always go with Ambipom, he is one of the best revenge killers with Fake Out + Double Hit combo with the Technician Ability, you can also have a Soutland at this point if you got the Lilipup on one of the colored apartments on Gaeren. - Ghothitelle isn't exactly bad is just that there are better Psychic types out there, like Espeon, if you did the Help Request on Sheridan you should have one, just get his friendship at max and evolve it by levling during the day, or the previous mentioned Swoobat or, if you looking for an Psychic Attacker, Medichan, you can get a Meditite on the Amethyst Cave, you could had also gotten an Espurr on Goldenleaf Town if you played with it, there's also the Mime Jr you get on the hidden Xen Base in Sheridan covering both Psychic and Fairy type or, if you wanna keep the bulky S.Def Psychic slot, there was an Elgyen on the hidden library on Gaeren if you collected all the books scattered around and placed on the shelf. Anyway it's up to you.
  8. .. Now you are asking the dev to go out of his way to essentially make a second version of Mewtwo just to capitulate to your wishes of owning one this early.. If Jan had to create a extra plot to "unlock a lengendaries powers" just so you can own one early then this game development would become even slower than what already is since he would had to create an entire "new" pokemon using the same sprites but with different status and think of a whole plot to explain the "super nerfed" version and how to unlock his power.. And even if he does, Mewtwo is still waaay to strong even in the absolute end game, hence why he is in the Uber tier..
  9. The reason why you don't have any legendaries so far is for balancement purpose, the majority of legendaries have broken high stats, that would make the game way too easy, every location is crafted in a way that it's challenging but fair, hence why you can't catch legendaries or even OP pokemons like Lucario that early in the game, they are usually posted late in the game or via some event that is only available after a certain condition is met, like @kingarv said, the only legendaries you can get are Silvally and Zygard and both of those are end game, in fact, you can only get Zygard in the very end of the v13 by finding and collecting all cells and then cores. Jan already said he will make a way to be able to catch ALL Pokemon, legendaries included, when he finishes the game as they slowly be available to be caught in the next versions (Probably depending on how balance they are). The whole point of Rejuvenation is that it's challenging, being able to catch Mewtwo this early (before even the second badge) would defeat the whole purpose of this game.. Mewtwo is one of the strongest Legendaries in the whole series, you shouldn't expect to get something this broken that early to begin with.. Even the legendaries you can catch by the end of v13 are nothing compared to Mewtwo.. (There's also the fact that he's also used on the plot later on as well)
  10. Put both Frontline Pokemon as Xatu and Swoobat, both lear Air Slash with hit both Pokemon It will, Lucario might not take Super Effect to Flying types but his S.Def is too poor to matter,..
  11. I just don't want any new weird gimmicks, we already had megas and z-moves, there was no need for dynamax to exist.. It's just making things complicated.. The reason why I hate SnS is exactly because of that, there's no megas or z-moves there, just dynamax, how is it going to work on Gen9? Are the megas coming back or is it still going to be dynamax? Or aare they going to implement yet another gimmick and erase those two? I don't dislike megas, I actually like them, z-moves? I am indifferent towards them, don't like them nor hate them mostly cuz I don't like the implementation of them but they are balanced in the sense that you need an item and can only be used once but dynamax is just a weird fusion between megas and z-moves for 3 turns, no items required, any pokemon can do it.. About regional variants I like them because it make sense in a Darwinian sense in which certain species become different over time based on their habitat and I like some of them too, yeah, it's just doing the same pokemon again with a different color paint but as long as it makes sense and it's interesting I am in That's why I am fully supporting Jan's decision to make dynamax into mega variantions on Rejuvenation because, in my point of view, that's what they should had done in the first place instead of creating yet another new gimmick.. I am afraid for Gen9..
  12. And even tho' he decided to split the content, v13 is still going to be the biggest version so far, just to put in perspective how massive this big boy is.. I believe the versions after it will be completed faster since this one had to include Gen8.. Assuming GameFreak doesn't add yet another DLC to SnS and add more Pokemons that is.. (I really hate SnS tho')
  13. Well I didn't really meant in a way of saying it's bad because there's low amount of updates, just concerned that the game was abandoned is all, but also I can't afford to be waiting for yet another slow game to update.. I am already at this situation with Reborn and Rejuvenation, I wish there was a faster one updating out there but the truth of the matter is that it's rather impossible since taht would require a big and experienced development team and, at that point, donations and funding would be necessary and then Nintendo would come for their asses.. So I am good for now..
  14. Is that being constantly updated tho'? I am seeing that the main post was in 2015 and for that long to be only on the 5th gym seems a bit too slow, don't you thing? Frankly I tried a bunch of these fan-made games but none compared to Rejuvenation and Reborn and even between the two I prefer Rejuvenation by a long shot..
  15. I think it was pretty good, it can be used as a critic against radicalism / extremism, even good causes (like dethroning a dictator) can go too far if you apply the "For the greater good" / "The end justify the means" argument, so yeah, maybe in the end everything would had worked out as Flora wanted (or not) but the people she killed on the bombings will still be dead forever and the fact that they were innocent is even worst.. And in the end she got blinded by her goal so much she even against her own family and friends and was willing to sacrifice her underlings (while she stays cozy and safe, of course) for a cause she deems just.. In the end I believe she would had just became a dictator herself but be completely unaware of it, constantly justifying her actions.. The difference between her and Cassandra is that Cassandra wasn't a hypocrite that though she was doing good.. Tho' I admit that they kinda been shoved in there.. If they were introduced along with the other chapters little by little that would had been better but since they only show up on the GDC ark it does feel like filler indeed but that's my only problem with them.
  16. One of the many things to look forward to in v13, also this has to be done
  17. They're looking very sharp and, sorry but I gotta say it, "Oww, the edge!" I like how you perfectly managed to get a "I am a tiny lil piece of shtty c*nt" from Gaera's new design, fit him well, too well in fact, now I hate him even more, the prick. Good work there!
  18. I know, hence why I was asking if anyone could make a mod to disregard IVs (or place every pokemon's IV to 31 by default) because I know Jan doesn't like people using debug mode, I myself feel uncomfortable using it but I do so I don't need to spend hours running back and forth in front of the daycare.. If all I needed to worry about was Nature and Ability that would cut a massive amoiunt of time.. I am not putting this on the shoulder of Jan, I know he doesn't want people using debug mode and I am not going to demand one from him, if I could I would make this mod myself but I no idea how to code so my only option is pleading someone that knows to do it for me "pretty please?" style.
  19. Either way.. There's also the issue if the debug mode will even work on v13.. In Reborn they changed the engine already in order to fix battle animations and compatibility with MAC and such so I assume Jan will do the same for v13 which means that the v11 debug mode might not work anymore anyways.. In this topic, I also don't like how the other EV training rooms are locked via keycards with the AP system.. Usually I spend a good chunk of time in the beginning just running around to completed Tired Feet achievement and battling Pokemons that give the EV I need to farm the Tall Grass Battle achievement just so I can get, at least, the Attack or S.Attack Room Keycard but at this point I am nitpicking since I am glad there's at least a easy way to farm EVs in Rejuv..
  20. Hmm.. Maybe I was looking at EV calculations then.. It still is a pointless thing tho'.. And a 31 points difference is still a big thing..
  21. Well I said there that I feel uncomfortable using debug mode so yeah.. I usually play like that so I don't waste my time grinding eggs.. Also the debug mode is still kinda outdated.. I can only find the ones for V11 and it has some problems and crashes at some points, picking the Seviper Egg on Venam's Gym is an example of those.. IVs are irrelevant to begin with.. Since you can get ur Pokemon to have all of them on 31 without penalties or limits then it's just a massive waste of time.. Also, try getting through with a team with 0 IVs and see how irrelevant they are.. They do give a massive edge when it comes down to it.. Here, just as an example, a the Speed of a Lv100 Lucario with 0 IVs is 203 Speed while a 31 IVs is 306 according to Serebii.net, that is a MASSIVE difference but, in the end, it's just pointless grind for a better Pokemon.. Nature has balances and EVs have limits so they are fine in my books, specially since I always tend to have a Nidoking, a Pokemon that has both a S.Attacker and P.Attacker builds based on Nature and EVs distributed.
  22. Yeah I think that's how they will do it, Gen8 is "meh" at best not only on movepools so..
  23. You need cheese tactics my boi Here's how I done it: Curse + Burn, it was just a matter of stalling for time.
  24. Here's how I did it 1. Sableye with Trickster used Toxic, then died 2. Treevenant went on, he has full EV on S.Def and HP, got hit, almost died, ate Sitrus Berry and regenerated it with Harvest Ability then Leech Seeded her 3. Protect 4. Got it again, almost died again, ate Sitrus Berry again, used Horn Leech to heal a bit more 5. Protect 6. Loop
