  1. The guy from the nature center offered me the trade multiple times.
  2. A careful perusal of Reborn's graphics folder has yielded something interesting: I've found the files containing the PULSE Dex pages. navpulse00 through navpulse08 are the actual pages for each PULSE who's data we acquire. navpulse09 - navpulse11 are blank white images. So those are Mr. Mime and Clawitzer, but there is another... Place your bets: PULSE Arceus or new PULSE?
  3. That's an optional area. The way back is above it.
  4. Having spent about an hour shiny hunting Type: Null myself, I can confirm that Silvally's shiny sprites are amazing.
  5. Actually, I've been thinking about this, and I've come up with the worst PULSE Mime fight I can imagine. I'm assuming that whatever Ame found to let PULSE mons use items involves the mon already being in PULSE form when it's sent out. With that in mind, a Magic Bounce PULSE Mime with a Synthetic Seed on a Mirror Arena gets +3 evasion on turn zero, which also translates into guaranteed crits. I'd assume it has dual screens (no need for light clay thanks to the field, and both screens raise evasion even further) and that it spends its first turn trying to guess whether your lead prefers physical or special attacks and sets the appropriate screen. After that, the terror begins. So far, every Pulse mon except Magnezone has had at least one move that it cannot normally learn. Since this setup guarantees critical hits, moves that reduce the user's offensive stats essentially have no drawback. Enter Psycho Boost. Round it off with some form of coverage, and weep. And since it has Magic Bounce, the only real options to remove its evasion boosts are Haze and Clear Smog, unless it's used alongside other pokemon and can be phazed away.
  6. Bug report: Icicle Abra evolved into a regular Kadabra. edit: If I wanted to make Mega Pixie Absol's ability Super Luck, how would I go about doing that?
  7. Or worse, Magic Bounce instead of Magic Guard. Add in backup pokemon for it to switch out to and there's trouble. edit: Oh, right. That might hurt.
  8. I would want to go nuts on Psychic Terrain, with Meowstic (male), Sigilyph, Espeon, Beheeyem, Gardevoir and Malamar. -Prankster dual screens Meowstic to help buy a turn or two -Cosmic Power Sigilyph, replacing Psycho Shift with Miracle Eye -Calm Mind Espeon (maybe with Baton Pass as a panic button) -Telepathy Nasty Plot Beheeyem -Telepathy Gardevoir abusing the power boosts on Moonblast and Magical Leaf -Malamar to help deal with Ghost and Dark types Psychic Terrain setup has potential.
  9. Most genderless pokemon can still breed, thanks to Ditto. As for Nidorina and Nidoqueen, I have no idea why they can't breed, but they can't in the main games either (yet female Nidoran can - it's strange).
  10. Pokemon that can't breed get three perfect IVs guaranteed.
  11. You can find them in Headbutt trees in the garden in Lower Peridot Ward. You can also find Mothim and Wormadam in headbutt trees right in Chrysolia Forest.
  12. Does anyone else find it odd that although Rapidash learns lots of fire attacks and lots of kicking attacks, it can't learn Blaze Kick? They're near the bottom of the page. edit: On another note, I tried to evolve a Koffing into an Engine Weezing, but cancelled it when I realized that I wanted to wait for Destiny Bond. The Iron Plate disappeared anyway, Koffing didn't learn Explosion or Destiny Bond by leveling up, and when I put another iron plate on it and evolved it again it became a normal Weezing and consumed the other plate too. update: I leveled up my other Koffing normally, and it did attempt to learn Explosion and Destiny Bond at the appropriate levels. Evolving it with the Iron Plate also consumed the plate to no effect. update 2: Breeding for an Engine Koffing produced an egg with the right appearance, which then hatched into a normal Koffing. Again, plate was consumed.
  13. For the inevitable second playthrough, I might point out that Mirror Shot breaks that entire gym. The field gives it double damage, perfect accuracy and a 100% -Acc proc, in addition to it being super-effective against Ice.
  14. Isn't Fletchling available in Beryl Ward near the cemetary or is that a V18 change?
  15. Magmortar might be an option for one, what with the cannon arms. Also it's pokedex entry in Ultra Sun notes it's used in industry to process metals, and Moon's entry alleges sustained fire causes its arms to start melting (similar to Heatran's Pt/BW dex entries claiming that it's partially molten from its own heat).
  16. Have you thought about adding a Fire/Steel combination? It's the one combination that a mono-fire run cannot currently access.
  17. Noibat has been confirmed. This may be bad news for my good buddy Crobat.
  18. So how about that horrible no good AI monstrosity? Also how about that extra 5% added to the boss rush?
  19. I'm starting with Sobble, probably going to try for a female so I can trade babies for other starters/ version exclusives. My goal is to catch/use every new pokemon, and I'm planning to nickname them all after Iron Maiden songs. So far I've got Rainmaker for Sobble, Aces High for Corviknight, and either 11:58 PM (Two Minutes to Midnight) or DanceOfDeath for Impidimp. Maybe also Longest Day for Drednaw.
  20. Does anyone else feel like the new water gym leader stepped straight out of Splatoon?
  21. I could've sworn that someone actually mentions her status as Champion, either a random NPC in a cafe in Lumiose City or when she shows up in the town with the fourth gym. Then again, I haven't played XY since ORAS came out, so I might be misremembering
  22. Sometimes after I save, spend a bit of time doing something completely meaningless like looking through my inventory, after which I am compelled to save again.
  23. If you can find a male Espurr with Own Tempo, you can evolve it into a Meowstic with Prankster and Reflect/Light Screen, which is always handy (especially when holding a Light Clay). If you're okay with doubling up on electric-types, you can get Alolan Raichu by evolving Pikachu on Apophyll Beach. If your run has it under the Grand Staircase, Lunatone is good, and gets great after you unlock the move relearner (Moonblast and Power Gem). If you don't, you'll have Solrock, which is an okay Rock type at this point but doesn't really get good non-rock physical attacks for a long time. Even without the event, they're wild in the Lapis Ward and North Obsidia alleys.
