I’m not sure but there was a metal wall in the railway blocking me from going into an area.

I'm currently at the part of the game where you're locked out of reborn city and have to fight team meteor at the tanzan mountain. I don't have any common candies and my best pokemon is about to pass the level cap. Is there any I can find/buy in this area?
