  1. Didn't give a listen to one song from this group for years and got splashed by a wave of emotion right in the face. This album is a gem!
  2. Tunes like this are oxygen for both my creativity and positivity!
  3. The day will come when all the tension and all the bad things will dissapear and only the good and the happy things will happen. And at this moment, I'll then realize how good life really is. I know it's just a matter of two months, but why does it feel so far away from me now?

PS: I need hugs really bad 💔

Firstly first, thank you all for your heartwarming support!

And yes, you guessed right @Evi Crystal. My internship is supposed to last two extra months with two oral exams and one thesis work to provide for mid-August. The problem is, my state of mind is behaving like an elevator these days. For example, there are periods when I'm becoming excessively cheerful (Which happens almost systematically when I reach the goal I've imposed on myself at the beginning of the day, even if it doesn't represent a lot to my supervisors), and there are days when I'm becoming melancholic with an impression of emptiness and boredom (Which is often related to a lack of recognition). In addition to this, I'm missing my artistic hobbies. To put an end on this pressure, I'm putting a lot of efforts into the preparation of my exams in order to get my degree with the hope of focusing more on things that make me feel good later on. It's sad to admit, but I despise my current situation and I can't wait to throw it away once I have my so-coveted diploma in my pocket. It will be the end of 23 uninterrupted years of schooling, no less.

As you have implied, you are not far off from completing your internship, Q-Jei. You got this!

This time I'll cheer for you!

  4. Sometimes, I wish I had more friends who like listening to this type of music.
  5. Thank you @RoyChaos for bringing back some good memories! The instrumental version I posted below is one of their coolest imo! Powerful and invigorating, my favorite!
  6. I know this song is supposed to be a happy one, but for some reason, it brings back old memories and forces me to realize that no matter what I do, what's done is done. I can't go back and it leaves me sorrowful. Everytime I hear it, I feel waves of nostalgia flooding around me. What else can I say? This song is so beautiful! A pure heart melter!
  7. Okay, let's review each member of your team one by one! Greninja: According to your moveset, it looks like you went for a special attacker. There's actually no point for Greninja to keep two water attacks. You can replace either Surf or Hydro Pump with Extrasensory which will allow you to enjoy the benefits brought from Protean to lure the enemy. Depending on your preference, Surf comes more in handy during double battle whereas Hydro Pump is the option to opt for if you want to maximize your damage. Blaziken: Just like there's no reason to keep two Water moves for Greninja, the same could be said about your Blaziken and his Fighting moves. Depending on what you prefer, you can replace Sky Uppercut with Protect so that you can boost your speed for free as soon as the fight begins. You can also teach Blaziken Thunder Punch to overcome Flying and Water Type Pokemon, which is what I personally prefer when I want to catch players by surprise and reverse the situation on Showdown. Sylveon: Well... several things are a little blurry about your Sylveon. Concerning the item it's holding, I assume you confused your Light Ball with a Light Clay. If so, it wouldn't be bad at all to replace Iron Tail with a support move like Reflect or Light Screen since anybody in your team can take advantage of it for 8 turns, which will make you able to set up Bulk Up for Blaziken or Dragon Dance for Salamence. Doing so can also be a clever strategy during double battles since you won't have to switch out your teammates after using these protective moves. If you want to improve your Sylveon even more, you can also replace Echoed Voice with Hyper Voice which will be your strongest offensive move thanks to Pixilate, and replace Moonblast with Wish if you want to protect yourself more efficiently. Salamence: This one undoubtedly has the worst moveset as opposed to your other teammates. Don't get me wrong, but something is a little off about your way to strengthen it. The item your Salamence is holding is a Thick Club. It's supposed to boost the Attack stat of Cubone and Marowak. If you can find an item such as Muscle Band, believe me, it will be a great step ahead in terms of damage output. Also, you should replace Dragon Rush with Dragon Claw which is more accurate for a difference of power that isn't that disadvantageous. The move relearner can help you to get it back, so you don't have to wait for episode 19 to teach your Salamence Dragon Claw. Also, since Salamence is known to be an offensive powerhouse thanks to his high Attack stat, you don't want to rely on Draco Meteor but on another physical move. Both Facade and Return are well appreciated alternatives: Facade if you get caught by a status effect and Return if you have a strong bond with your Salamence and don't tend to lose fights very often. Mimikyu: This is the only Pokemon of your team that has an irreproachable moveset in my opinion. However, when episode 19 will come out, you might want to leave Destiny Bond behind and replace it with Swords Dance since it combines perfectly well with priority moves like Shadow Sneak. This way, you'll even be able to break through Steel Type Pokemon without ever switching out once during a fight. Metagross: Almost everything is okay about Metagross. The only intruder that could be spot out in its moveset is probably Iron Defense. If you had a way to recover during fights without using items, it would be a great addition, but it's not the case for Metagross. I recommend you to replace Iron Defense with Ice Punch, so you can take advantage over Ground Type offenders. Also, since I noticed that none of your Pokemon has an Ice move in their movesets, this change sounds like a great opportunity to make your team more versatile. I hope this helped you out!
  8. IDM, ambient and DnB were and still are my lifesavers! These kinds of music helped me to keep my head straight, make me focus on what is really essential and help me to forget for a moment this rotten state we're in. F*** corona, listen to music! ♪♫♪♫
  9. Yes I am! I think a sweet little Candy will pop out of the blue very soon!
  10. What about a galactic Vulpix instead? Hopefully, we can stay in the fire theme a little longer if Crystalrage comes by next!
  11. It's getting cold tonight! Let's rise the temperature a little more, would you? Evi, where are you?
  12. I suppose Dark Champion was referring to Blacksteam Factory, the place you explore with Amaria to defeat PULSE-Muk. There is indeed a Thunder Stone that is laying at the floor where you and Amaria get ambushed by Meteor grunts. Just check every room of this floor and you’ll find your evolution stone!
  13. Nevermind, I'll just take back my money! Evi, are you around? (No coins on the table this time )
  14. I saw the last posts, it feels very heartwarming to be desired like this! Thank you! I bet my 2₽ Crystalrage will come next!

Actually, Norman is supposed to be 38 years old while Winona is 30 years old if I remember well. Winona is also very directive and has a strong link with the Pokemon Association since we can see early at the start of the manga that she calls Norman to order after he left the Gym in Petalburg without notifying her or the Pokemon Association. In fact, she's even described as the leader of Hoenn Gym Leaders, which is not meaningless. This is in this same part of the manga that she commends Flannery's improvements as a new Gym Leader. Winona is also seen in an episode of the Battle Frontier part of Pokemon Adventures (Pokemon Adventures Emerald) where she's accompanied by Wallace as they are attending the wedding of Wanda and Riley (The lovers you reunite in Rusturf Tunnelafter using Rock Smash. Yeah, yeah, they are the same persons you meet in the official games). Furthermore, Winona has a common past with Wallace but always refuses to have a certain romantic bond with him. Overall, I remember having put quite a lot of effort making coherent links between TTOAF and all these specific elements you can spot in Pokemon Adventures.

Apart from that, I recognize it's been forever since I haven't uploaded another episode of my written run, but I'm demonically busy with my current internship plus all the pressure I'm forced to endure for my graduation in computer sciences. My way to spend my free time has been impacted a lot and I didn't want to publish another episode by fear of not being able to organize myself correctly, which can't be benificial for both the quality of my work and my sanity. Also, I didn't have a good memory of the comments I got since I had put a lot of time in my writings at this time. Just add to it the feeling of isolation due to the pandemic. All of this combined made me sink into a gruesome state of mind that prevented me from doing anything that is related to creation. I just wanted to be at peace with my current situation and live with as less anxiety as possible while focusing more on my student life. Today, I'm still crawling in the setting of a similar scenario, but the truth is that I don't want to cancel what I did until now concerning TTOAF. The proof is, the comments are not disabled on this topic. In mid-February, I found an agreement with Ame to preserve it by removing the archive tag that was automatically applied on threads after six months of inactivity. I can't tell you when Flannery's adventures will be back. I don't want to rush it but I don't want to think too much about what could happen in the next episode either. I just need to find the best timing to jump back on my Word files and share the fruit of my imagination again. Just remember that I don't have superpowers like a Marvel character. If I could choose one, it would definitely be a healing ability so I could use it on myself to feel better and regain the vitality and self-confidence that I think are lacking way too much for me these days. I hope you and all the other persons who will read this will understand what I'm getting at. As long as you keep safe and be kind with each other, everything will be okay.

I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to sound pushy or demanding. I can certainly understand that with graduation requirements and an internship, you're extremely busy and under pressure. That the pandemic isn't helping. And the isolation is one of its most damaging by-products, yes.

I can understand that your main current aspiration is to heal and alleviate the stress. To take the time to let the desire to create and share one's creation re-surface on its own schedule.

I am aware that you don't have any superpowers. A sped-up self-healing factor would be very useful in these times, yes (although in true Marvel fashion that would mean that supervillains would also be after you for nefarious purposes).

I hope you'll manage to keep yourself safe and get better.

  22. Oh my god! I just listened to the Mirage Tower's theme of Pokemon Reborn played at decreased speed (x0.25) by using Audacity! It sounds much like the type of OST that could be played in games like The Binding Of Isaac or some RPG Horror games! Depressing and yet so relaxing at the same time!

That was by far one of the biggest musical slaps in the face to me this year ❤️

  23. I can't realize I saw this thread long ago and didn't even try to share some pieces of my imagination about me in the skin of a gym leader! Let's fix this mistake right away! Field Effects: Dark Crystal Cavern Healing Items: 3 Full Restores Battle Format: Single Battle Team: Greninja Ability: Protean Held Item: Wise Glasses Moveset: Dark Pulse, Surf, Grass Knot, Extrasensory Drapion Ability: Sniper Held Item: Scope Lens Moveset: Night Slash, Cross Poison, Ice Fang, Fell Stinger Honchkrow Ability: Moxie Held Item: Darkinium Z Moveset: Night Slash, Steel Wing, Sucker Punch, Drill Peck Pangoro Ability: Iron Fist Held Item: Assault Vest Moveset: Knock Off, Drain Punch, Thunder Punch, Bullet Punch Sableye Ability: Prankster Held Item: Sablenite Moveset: Calm Mind, Dark Pulse, Power Gem, Recover Spiritomb Ability: Pressure Held Item: Chesto Berry Moveset: Calm Mind, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Rest Gym Challenge: First of all, you have to know that the arena where this battle takes place is located in Reborn, but it lies far in the bowels of the earth. In fact, it lies several steps beneath the Victory Road. The entrance can be found at the end of an isolated path somewhere at the base of Charous Mountain. The challenger has to go through six different stages inside of a bleak grotto, an environment made of deep fissures with plenty of colorful crystals at the first two stages, wooden bridges and some natural water streams along the walls. There will be no hikers, nor ace trainers around to defy you. At each stage of the grotto, you'll have to unlock a mechanical door that only opens once the brightness level of the area is low enough. The brightness sensors on them will disengage the locking function if you manage to find and destroy the unique source of light that is hidden at the floor you are exploring, a holy stone. Of course, smashing a holy stone will drastically decrease the luminosity of the stage but it will also open the door in the process. Note that as you do so, the music will change and will be replace with another atmosphere theme that fits gloomy and lonely areas better and you'll have to retrace your steps to reach the door you have unlocked. However you have to be careful. When the shadow arrives, things will quickly turn out to be more lively in the cavern. When you'll least expect it, you'll have to fight a herd of Rock and Dark types Pokemon in a double battle. They'll try to block you while you go back after smashing the holy stone of the stage you're in. The level of the Pokemon in the herds will become higher the deeper you go inside the grim grotto. And don't try to get around them, Escape Ropes will always be ineffective while you'll be in this place. To go further with the details, the field effect of the first two stages of the cavern is Crystal Cavern, then for the rest of the descent, the envrionment will look more like the caves of Iolia Valley while remaining more spacious and imposing, and your next encounters will be fought in the Dark Crystal Cavern field. Arriving at the fifth floor, you'll find yourself in a circular room. But the setting of this stage is different from the previous ones. The luminosity is at its lowest the first time you go down there as opposed to the previous stages where it wasn't the case and the water streams are replaced with lava streams. Plus, there is a mechanical door but no holy stones to smash. Instead of that, you'll have to interact with a statue of Darkrai displayed at the middle of the room. As you touch the intriguing sculpture, the light will come back slowly and the statue will shake and come to life with the cry of a fake Darkrai resonating everywhere in the room. Darkrai Ability: Bad Dreams Held Item: Magical Seed Moveset: Dark Void, Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Sludge Bomb Defeating fake Darkrai will disengage the last door that kept you separated from the final destination of your descent to hell which will enable you to take a ladder to reach the sixth floor: the arena floor (Also called "Sheol Belvedere"). Be prepared, the Gym Leader can't wait for some daring adversaries to join him underground! Rewards: Stygian Badge & TM04 (Calm Mind) Music tracks: Stage 1 & 2 -----> Atmosphere - Mirage (Speed x0.80) Stage 3 & 4 -----> Atmosphere - Mirage (Speed x0.70) Stage 5 -----> Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Cryptic Cave (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekbagcPEmbU) Stage 6 (Sheol Belvedere) -----> Atmosphere - Somewhere (Speed x0.50) Music that plays after you smash a holy stone -----> Reborn - Coral (Speed x0.50) Fake Darkrai's Battle-----> Old Shade's Theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIRZyivuwvI) Gym Leader's Battle-----> Pokemon Black & White - Elite 4 Remix (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q1PmDSu_Ak)
