    It lost the Zorro-esque mask of old to become a more traditional sword/shield knight. Resurrected from the Spaceworld G/S Demo, this bird will show you the power it's been restraining for so long. (comparison 2 pics)

    Crests are enhancement items introduced for certain Pokemon in V11 (with more in V12). They are made to improve the performance/niche of fairly bad or mediocre mon (though in a case or two it changes the playstyle of the mon). I think the idea comes from the Mystery Dungeon games, but crests are incorporated into the lore (or side-quest bonus lore at least). Unfortunately, they are fairly late in the current version of game, but some of the effects do honestly improve a mon by a good margin. Farfetch'd would have been a perfect candidate for a crest, if they weren't reviving the long-ago idea of an evolution (it seems).

    I haven't really been active this past week or so outside of a few trades, to the point I just noticed that I never even put anything for the final stage of Fantasy Maiden Wars: Dream.  I'm just going to post a few random things, and then the attack animations and music like I did for the last two important ones.   There are also the three bonus stages, but I didn't really take screenshots since there was nothing really noteworthy.

     

     

    I don't know what most of the stuff here is, but Marisa finally broke the 40k damage barrier sometime in the last stage (though I missed a screenshot)  and Meeko hit one my units for a lot last stage.

    The normal BMG for the last stage.  Very fittingly, it's a remix of "Children's Festival ~ Innocent Treasures" which ZUN usually calls his theme  and is usually noted to sound very 'finale-worthy'.

    Final Boss' original theme.  The limited vocals makes the song stand out from every other FMW song.  Very dreamy.

    In true SRW fashion, the theme that overrides everything in the last portion of the last stage is a remix of the title screen song  (though sadly Sanbando can't afford Jam Project).

      I've seen a lot of things from FMW: Complete Box, though screenshots and videos, so they made a good many small improvements with the combined product.  Many new faces in the dialogue area and a great new U.I.  I can't wait for it to be available outside of the Comiket crowd

      Also worth commenting here:  there is also the new (soon to be released) Touhou Cannonball,  a gatcha-esque  fangame  (though with ZUN's explicit permission given the nature of the game).  Possible conflicted feelings about the nature and the Voice casting for some aside, it's got a STELLAR opening animation that doesn't solely rely on old character popularity so that great.

    People that breed for high IV pokemon with Egg Moves use it to empty out their boxes of the less optimal mons, so there is still reason for anyone to occasionally check (though outside of events/socials those dropoffs can be sporadic). Overall, there's no reason to remove the feature outright, though there can be for pushing it back.

    The sheep was much easier to defeat than the flower, which is totally fair since Yuuka is Yuuka.  I will be hearing Meeko's theme in my dreams tonight, since it played for most of the stage.  Which brings up one of the best spell card names in Touhou (canon or fanmade):

    I think rebattlable trainers were taken out of Gearan lab, and the EV trainers don't even give 200. There is always Pickup, which can net some good sellable items sporadically. Someone had an idea of a Payday Persian against Audino trainers, which nets about 25-27,000 per battle with Amulet Coin.

    I've gotten tired of seeing these two words over the past day and a half.  I knew Yuuka's fight was BS incarnate from reading the translation LP, but wow did they bump it up on Hard mode; is it even possible on Lunatic?   After a bad first try, this time I'm just taking out her first and last health bars.....the rest I'll just time out.

    Well, I found out FMW Complete will allow save transfer from FMW 4, so I guess I'l be finally finishing that for the next few days.  Did stage 74 earlier.  Great Prismriver-centric stage.  I still love the new attack they get.

    For games where I'm free to choose whatever (Reborn, Rejuv, Dray's hacks), I usually end up having a bloated rotation (at least 20 mons) with 10 or 12 seeing a bit more use than the others. I mostly try for mons I haven't used before (at least initially) and add whatever strikes my fancy later on. Sometimes some members get dropped if they can't keep up and replaced with a better mon that does it's job (even if I've used it before). I had to completely stop on the Mt Valor finale just to train up the mystery egg cottoneeI put in the box, though it's more than pulled it's weight ever since. With how Rejuv provides sidequests, Audino trainers, and a hard level limit, keeping a bigger rotation isn't too difficult......even before factoring in the EXP All item. Then again, I play slowly overall so I don't really mind some grind. After finishing up V12's story, I added trained and am leveling up another 10 just because I think I'll want to use them next episode.

    There was a ton of early game changes just between when I first played it in V9 and then replaying it again in V11. Definitely worth a replay now.
