Finally some details and a few new screenshots of FMW Complete Box came over
apparently from a Chinese watcher of a random Japanese streamer......very vague. It's definitely using some mechanics from modern SRW games (such as being able to use spirits commands on your opponents turn). There's even pictures of new attack cut-ins:Nameless midboss fairy who's had maybe had exactly one line in a side-manga, you finally got an attack cut in! I guess that means The 9-ball Special will be slightly different late-game, and it means another nameless character and even the Lilies should get theirs.
Spoiler
An Elly cut-in to compete with the other gatekeeper
Spoiler
Kurumi cut-in.
Hopefully you'll still be top tier support late game.Spoiler
Akyu seems to be a playable character and maybe not just a one-stage joke character this time.....though maybe still. She has a unique personal skill this time, so that's a bit more 'long term' indication. Maybe she'll juggle the 'playable character' and 'subpilot only' roles this time. Even she has a cut-in.
Spoiler
Seems Kozazu is an NPC as well now. I'm not holding out hope for Kasen, since she definitely wouldn't be playable even if she shows up as an NPC. She's only a month younger than the first game back in 2010, so Keine took the 'mentor-ish/prodding Reimu off her ass' role. Funny in hindsight, but playable Kasen would be interesting.

Waiting to see if the new Touhous and the new music will be online soon. It seems some people already got their copy of Touhou 17, so it will probably be an hour or three.

Well, Clarste is here with a general summary (a few posts down)

SpoilerWith both Miko and Saki both harboring world-conquering desires and being leaders to their respective people, I wonder if they'd be able to get along with each other anymore. I kinda doubt it, given Miko's personality, but it could be possible. Who knows, maybe this was all part of the Prince's secret plan, and the handkerchief is the last part of the puzzle?

Something with 50+ horsepower vs. a single horse? What an imbalanced matchup!

Really, thoughg, if Byakuren and Saki don't have a footrace at some point, I'm gonna be somewhat disappointed. Shame most of the manga aren't paying attention anymore...

Minoriko/Shizuha, Aya, and Ran finally getting proper attack cut-ins in this PV: it's the little things that sometimes get me the most hyped.
It doesn't help that I can't read the non-visual details. This does give me hope of Yumeko, the Lilys, and Rei'sen/Raysen/'The Second Lockon' Reisen will get them as well. -
Oh, another Lyrica Live adaptation. It doesn't feel like it's been a month since the last one, but I'll take it.
Seems like 'Fantasy Maiden Wars: Complete Box' isn't going to be available at Comiket until Monday, along with most of the Touhou stuff.......including ZUN releasing 'Touhou 17' to a clamoring fanbase. Seems Lyrica will have at least 3 or 4 new character themes to make adaptations for.
-
I'm excited that Fantasy Maiden Wars: Complete Box should be coming out sometime in the next few days, possibly in less than a day if it's sold right when Comiket starts
and will probably take some more days to be sold on team's site.I never finished the last few stages of FMW 4, come to think of it....SpoilerWhile I still hold out hope for maybe a few new attack animations, it will probably just be touchups for everyone, which some characters
sakuyastill needed in the last game........and hopefully they will give Yorihime a 'Moon Knights' remix for a themeI can dream -
Well, I think I might be done with all/most of the sidequests/extra things in Rejuvenation V12. I still have some event/hidden Pokemon to find (and even more mons to evolve) but all the high points have been hit (and most of the items found....except for TM 49 because of version differences I think).
And maybe getting a bit more money since buying all those crests, TMs/RMs, and the Scholar District game corner mons depleted a lot of the funds. I'm not sure what the best repeatable money making method, but hopefully Pickup will come through when I level up some mons for the dex.
Goomy Kingdom best sidequest.
A bit about another sidequest. Spoiler-tagged because it's best not spoiled:
SpoilerI'm still honestly surprised at the second option you get if you decide not to save Karen at the end of that sidequest. Having the option to intentionally not save someone is one thing, but have the option to 'potentially' murder someone on purpose was jarring. I'm not complaining about the option by any means.......I'm just surprised.
Regardless of which path did what, I needed the Life Orb more than the Banetite, so I'm glad it was on the 'Save Karen' path. I like Karen well enough, even if she'll be crazy next time, and V11's reveal made Karina much less trustworthy.
-
Stupid labyrinth. At least there is a video of it on Youtube for the Karen quest, though I'll have to go back for the other stuff later.
Seems a few of the Zygard cells left are bugged on my save, since they aren't appearing reguardless of time of day. I know I didn't get them before (since I didn't unlock Lux appartments till a few hours ago and it wasn't there) and I backtracked a few days to an older save where they appeared.
After SR'ing for a few shinies and doing many sidequest, I'm not redoing all that again. I guess I'll ask on the save fixing thread about it later when I'm not doing stuff. At least I already got the 100 for 10% already.

Random question for Rejuvenation: If you don't finish the Mosely/Lost Camp story before V12's story is over, will that have an effect on the outcome or is the doctor still there for some reason?
or maybe Mosely just can't get in with police investigatingFinished V12.....now what? Ok, just kidding time for sidequests! I wanted a shiny cell doggo and I've already accidentally SR when I finally got one.........twice
hello darkness my old friend -
Some of these ZZ and Pyramid fights...... A different team loadout might have help in some case, but some were just brutal regardless. I'm glad I don't mind using items, since those herbs have been getting some use. The rift fight has been about the easiest so far thanks to Poison Powder.
I might be getting near the end, Flo-Ryl down. It's definitely been a similar but different experience compared to my V9/10 playthrough. At least there are still a good many sidequests to still do after this episode is complete.
Not a quote per say, but damn was this moment/line/image funny. Corsala forgoes a crest and just cuts you

"Who needs Trainers when you've got KNIVES?!
...
"I'm... all out of
HPknives."Seriously, though, between this scene and the Throat Chop Move Tutor, I can't help but wonder if someone on the dev. team has had some sort of bad encounter with corsola at some point. Hmm...
Also, those security magneton need to friggin' chill. Definitely not a fan of getting nuked into oblivion every other round, ya know?
-
I wish I had known this during the Q&A thread, since that would have been a good ask.
No kidding. Those thing completely took me off guard by one-shotting (or close to) my two opening mons. I honestly had a better time with Ren/Aelita's teams. I looked on the 100% guide to maybe see if it mentioned what they were holding and was shocked to see it written they "aren't too tough".......then I remembered the guide was written with Normal in mind, not Intense. They must have really gotten buffed.
It probably didn't help that my team was a tad mismashed since I was trying to get the last few to level 85 and didn't expect to run into anything THAT tough before coming across a PC again.
Hey, I won another round of 'accidentally beat up your friends while under the enemy's influence'. Not glass factory, but definitely same theme of friendly fire.
-
I... didn't think to ask until after it closed, personally. Whoops.
I play Normal, and the only time a magnedrone didn't wipe the floor with my team was the battle where one had the misfortune of being paired with a golurk. Whichever Garufan engineer thought that "just let them OHKO each other to give invaders a fighting chance" was a good idea really ought to have been demoted...
That said, they certainly wouldn't be a problem if you happened to have access to powerful Ground moves of your own. Since I didn't (and admittedly still don't) have a single Ground Type on my rotation... the results speak for themselves.
So, uh, that was an instance where it's in the player's best interest to lose. Granted, there's really only a couple of Karma points on the line, and we're still not quite sure significant those will wind up being, but still... It does result in the fight wielding the single most malicious use to the Telepathy Ability I have ever seen, which wasn't exactly a nice discovery given the situation. Between that and its Crest, that dang alien stayed on the field far longer than it had any right to...

Mamam..........
Adrienn has some cute moments in the Neo Geraen section. Not having a city quite on the brink as Reborn (especially after 'Devon') really lets her be a bit more peppy.
About time I actually start with the V12 story, since I'll save the Badlands help quest till after V12's story.

Well that Rock fight was a pain (even after I read up on the field) but Whimsacott was there to save the day again.
I keep forgetting that Tailwind blows away Misty Terrain and usually resets the field. Except this time instead of resetting it back to inverse, it set it the default field. I'll take it.
After another team change (back to the usual Rock Splitters) it was more manageable. Terrakion and Mega Areo still cleaved holes so a revive or three had to be used.
I noticed earlier, but quite a few leaders that had legendaries on V9/10 intense (Amber with Moltres??, Erick with Zapdos, Souta with one of the genies) didn't have them this run. I made extra sure it was on Intense, even using my free difficulty change to insure it before Venam, so I'm definitely on the correct difficulty. Seems some rebalancing was done between Eps.
-
Well that was a fight.
Complete MVP was Whimsacott. It took a few times for things to work out, but once they did they just worked.......with some shots of lemonade and milk to keep her healthy for field resetting. On the run that worked, those two stayed on the field the whole match. I think the A.I. made a dumb here.
I'm glad I didn't get something not as useful from the Mystery Egg (like in Reborn and Rejuv V9). First time that's panned out great, with this, the Crawli fight, and the Zetta/Gerra fight being helped immensely by this little Prankster.

I may have just found my new favorite line in Rejuvenation:

Canon Sakuya probably wouldn't even be offended, but I wanted to post an angry Sakuya pick anyway.

-
So now Konami owes Dragon Maid's author and The Pokemon Company royalties for their new Dragon Maid yugioh archetype?!
In all seriousness, I can't believe it's a thing but I'll probably like it anyway. @Wolfox @Chimpnology -

What happened Aileita? Your A.I. was so helpful in V9.

The bronzong's less about immediate threat, and more about the constant reminder that this tanky bell can very, very easily set Trick Room back up the moment it times out, making your break from that madness cut that much shorter. That said... metagross' immediate danger is certainly worth paying more attention to if the TR is freshly established, seeing as it's a bloody pseudo and bronzong itself is a bit lacking in offensive presence... But I don't think the AI in general is capable of reading those sorts of Doubles situations yet.
The Gem does get used up for the first attack- that's not the issue. The issue is that the Gem only adds +30% damage, while the no-item bonus on Acrobatics is a flat double (+100%). There's a sizable enough gap in numbers there to make the assumption I did, I believe.
-
If it actually used TR when something else was on the field, it would have definitely been a bigger thread. Sadly for it, it didn't use it in any match (much less the final one). Oranguru just wouldn't faint until almost the end, so like in V9 it essentially turned from a 2-on-2 match to a 1-on-1 match.
Oh, I misunderstood what you meant in the post before. Another case of the A.I. not seeing the bigger picture/ the non-immediate effects.
Can't type or read as well this late apparently. - Show next comments 3 more
