So apparently enemy Haunter still had Levitate in V11. Cheating Goldenleaf trainers.

I was so focused on Keta that I forgot Marrianete gave me the most trouble out of the gym leaders last time in V9.........and I don't even have a fire type move for Beware.
Time for some looking/training.........

Really? My A-Raichu must have been really slow because I remember it was getting outsped a lot and didn't didn't really hep this battle. Maybe I just wasn't using it right.
While not the 'tear through everything' it might have been with fully invested Sp. Attack IVs, training it's speed was enough for it to take down 2 1/2 mons, though I went ahead and trained most of my attacking most that kept getting outsped. With 5 Pickup mons (though only in the 20's), it was quite profitable.

First regular Keta caused me to have to train two new mons and use a gimmick strategy to win, and now Revant Keta is about to make me do the same.
It took long enough to figure out how to get him down to his last mon, but then that mon is Gallade and it sweeps the three I have left. .....dammit

Inter-spliced in the Rejuvenation hype: The 'flashback' portion of the Gundam 40th anniversary trailer was a tad nostalgic, even though they continued the trend of screwing Cristina again by only having 'hamburger' appear in the 'War in the Pocket' section.
The only thing I'm interested in the 'upcoming' section is the new G Reco project.....at least so far.
"Together with you, Gundam never ends". Quite a line there.

............of course almost all of my Rejuvination team is weak to the coverage on Keta's first two mons or just physical hits in general. Why wouldn't they be?! I'm probably actually going to have to train up a new mons. I don't think I've every used Xatu before, since I've used most of the other Flying types encountered in some playthrough of Pokemon before
and Swablu isn't useful at Levle 25.Mayby Clefairy too- Show previous comments 1 more

I definitely remember my first playthrough in V9-Intense, but at least then I could use the Fletchinder that I was already using and pure power Meditite
which we could overlevel back then to learn Hi-Jump KIck.I somewhat think I may have used a Xatu last time, but I can't find it on my save. At least I know I had the idea.Intense of course.

I'm not sure which I hate more right now: Gloom or Ancient Power
which seems to have a 50% stat boost rate if a certain enemy uses it -
I just fought Zetta for the first time in V11. Did they change his theme after V9? I thought it used to be a remix of Guzma's theme.

I know I wanted to use Spoink in my new Rejuvenation run but I don't know if it was worth torturing myself with 2 or more hours of Voltorb Flip.
Who designed the leveling mechanic of that game? It randomly boots you down all the way to Level 1 even if you reached level 5. It seems this is basically the same behavior as canon, so it's not an essentials quirk.

Once you get to level 4, the luck factor definitely starts taking hold since the math won't eliminate everything and guessing a, b, or c takes over. I would appreciate the 'juiciness' much more if it didn't boot me all the way back to the start most times and make getting any decent amount of coins an absolute painful grind.

At least whenever it goes to Level 4 or 5, and I don't fulfill the condition of staying at the same level (getting enough 2/3's until it equals or exceeds the Level count).......though if you fail enough times it still kicks you down even if you get enough numbers. On stages 2 and 3, it's generous, but past that is usually no.
From the comments I read on videos when I learned how to even play the game, it seems the canon games are a bit arbitrary on how far it kicks you down.

After a good deal of humming-and-hawing, I decided to start a new run of Rejuvenation. I never even started V11 after downloading it and all three patches, but I might as well start again with this version (since I doubt V12 will change much early game stuff).
Maybe the story and character names will actually stick this time.
