A visibly drunk man stands in the corner of the room silently. Admittedly, this is would seem quite out of character for someone that was tall by the standards of most in addition to being well muscled and lacking in a shirt. He spends a few moments to inspect a bottle in his coat, sniff it, and then take a drink of what's in it before nodding and smiling, not noticing the one claiming dominion over the stars inspecting him. Finally he opens his mouth as he speaks loudly. "Well, it would seem that this isn't the result of bad grog! You all seems like a crew of odd sods, but I'm used to that. The name's Captain Jack Attwater, but my crew calls me Frost! You lot can call me whatever you want as long as you address me by my title!" He pauses before pointing across the room at the bundle of blankets. "Should someone give 'er a kick in the arse so she can get moving?"

Sokolov does not see a water fountain unfortunately. After checking that his sword is in fact shiny and reflective, (Though he feels like he could make it much shinier... much shinier indeed.) the group checks the next room to find first, that it's much messier owing to the fact that it is covered in blood. There's a few broken tables and chairs, and you're pretty sure you spotted a finger near a corner, but as far as you can tell it's empty. While you inspect the room from your, admittedly poor, vantage point you notice that the door to the right has a small flash from the cracks, and some weird noises following after. There's also a door directly across from you.

Arminius raises an eyebrow at that. "You tell us, you're the future person here. That said... I just got back from dealing with a goblin invasion if that tells you anything." Arminius paused for a moment before looking concerned. "Why, does something happen to Kusuke? If so, what? I want all the details you have."

[8] The corpse is well and truly stabbed through the eye socket. Truly an amazing job by John.

Paul nods at Helena's statement, quickly following behind her. Walking down the hallway, you see a some doors to your right. If anyone bothered to test them, or if they asked the escort quest, they'd note that the doors are currently firmly locked, and likely wouldn't change this state any time soon. To the left, they'd see some large windows, which at this point are quite dirty and a little bit cracked, fitting given the overall disrepair of the facility. Looking out into the twilight, judging by the sky it was about 7, you'd see a court yard filled with tall grass, fruit trees with the rotten remains of their bounty at their feet, and bushes that may at one point have been tidy and well kept, now out of control. Looking closely one may see four legged outlines running through the bushes. Hopefully you wouldn't have to go out there.... Reaching the end of the hall, you would find that the door is in fact unlocked. With a loud creek it opens up into a large room which seems to be some kind of sorting room for deliveries. There's not much here anymore, it would seem. There's some general mess, furniture strewn about, and a body with a blood trail leading through a door to the right. By the looks of things it's been dead for a while, already decomposing. To the left there's also a door, helpfully labeled as being the way to the dock and armory. You can see bullet holes in that door, indicating that there likely were zombies that way, though who knows if they've been dealt with. You have a feeling that this room has been stripped of anything of use.

The racket on the bus finally was enough to make Arminius, who'd been jostled onto the floor of his seat and subsequently stayed there as he fought to resist the anger welling up inside him, rise. He had no fresh clue what was going on but apparently there was a being from the future that knew about them. So he finally stood, his head popping up over the back of the imp's seat to get a good look at them, which one would idly note calls to mind a hawk watching a mouse.

Aquila almost sighed. If it had been an enemy of some form then he could have made progress on his training. Still, this wasn't a bad turn of events. "Well, I figured I didn't know what the sounds over here were so good or bad I should find out." Aquila says while he approaches the pair. He extends a hand towards Ignia when he's finally at a normal distance. "I'm Aquila. I don't mind what you do very much as long as you're a capable fighter." -

It's because of the fact that Aquila has zero clue what's going on that he goes to investigate. Those were really fucking weird noises after all, so the Conqueror donned his helmet and rapidly approached the area it came from. -
Arminius holds up a hand for Harry to stop. "Actually, this talk has given me an idea. I think the problem with my experiment in part is that essence inherently wants to collect together given the right stimulus.... But, what about a whole soul? They inherently would need some help to put them together but if both sides were willing I could safely combine the two, which would likely lead to physical changes that should prove incredibly useful... Think you could help me out with this experiment? Should be safe as can be since even if the soul gets rejected it'll go right back into my reserve this time."
-
Arminius mentally sighs. This would be easy enough to stretch the truth on but still, it's annoying as shit to deal with. "So basically, the idea was to see if there would be any practical application for reversing my abilities and adding essence to a person. I had previously worked on a prisoner who only reported feeling hotter but otherwise didn't seem to have any noticeable effects before I removed the chunk so I thought in the future it'd be a likewise mild reaction even with stronger essences.... Well, I don't know what factors could have lead to it but near instantly after applying the essence they turned into something similar to the monster I got the essence from and grabbed me by the face... That's how I got the burns up there. So, since that obviously wasn't good I removed the chunk but I get it had fused with part of their soul, creating something akin to one of my minions but based on the soul part. Also it hated me so it chased me around and burned my legs until the orc grabbed it and I could run off."
-
Arminius shrugs. "I'm the only expert on how it works it would seem. I wouldn't ask other people because they probably have a different version of it but I'd be happy to fill you in. Might be helpful with an idea I had since it's just the male version of it. As for getting attacked by two seperate creatures on the same day, thought Calvera was dead at the time by the way, she can fill you in better obviously. Basically it was a bit of a mana... how do you say, experiment? Gone wrong. Not going to attempt it again at least."
-
Arminius shrugs at the question about his runes. "They don't really. Not anymore than they need too. So basically being in close enough contact that I can sense and grab the underlying essence is enough. I suppose if someone really cared they could study the runic alphabet but after a while it starts to get the blood pumping so it'd need constant breaks. As for if I'm sure, yes I know my face is fucked, I didn't think you needed me to write down that I'm covered in burns at the moment. Also the last world had various corruptions I suppose but I wasn't in contact with any to my knowledge."

Aquila Aquila shrugs and wanders off, probably to find some place to have a lie down. Arminius Arminius walks through the halls of the ship, looking for Calvera. He'd suddenly realized he had kept the star cannon from the last world he was on, and figured she might be able to get more use out of it. Being a star and all. -

Aquila rolls his eyes at the accusatory gesture as he stands from his attempt to pet the small talking critter. "Like I said, I'm just fine. Bit drunk but what else are you supposed to do after a battle yeah? I'm a big guy Freya, you don't need to worry that much over me." Aquila goes to take a drink and then frowns upon realizing that his bottle is empty. -
There's a pause that says something along the lines of "I thought you were smart, is this not obvious?" before the man finally responds. "She's a paladin. You know, the group of people trying to exterminate an entire race and anyone that they don't consider pure enough? The one that I've spent years fighting? The ones that killed my daughter? Those paladins. And if it's just you, fine. But this shit better not reach her."
