Yeah the Amaria screen time really confuses me too. Seems like she'll be important somehow. Changing the field sounds like a really cool idea but I don't like to do that. The reason is that reborn leaders specialize in types boosted by fields. So it enhances the difficult and makes it different from regular pokemon games. Just changing it back ruins their strategy though I would definitely change a field if I really need to win and nothing else works.

This contains all kinds of spoilers Story Lore After Titania I battled Amaria. I had chosen the Zekrom route. When I went into Amaria's gym I found it simply beautiful. Pretty unpopular opinion but yeah I did not mind the puzzle at all. The calming music plus excellent scenery has me sold. Now Amaria herself was very docile. She knew what her situation was, her relationship with Titania and everything else. She was still suicidal but she didn't want to kill herself on her own which is a definite improvement. That is the character that I prefer for her. After the gym battle Titania decides to stay with her and support her despite saying that it is her hell. Then there's the Reshiram route. Amaria is the complete opposite. She tries to drown you, and is completely crazy. Also refuses to listen to your request of battle type and does the complete opposite. This Amaria seems really whiny and everyone probably hates her. Before the gym battle itself Titania leaves Amaria because she is tired with her and decides that Amaria finally crossed the line by trying to kill your character. I think that people are looking at this the wrong way. Amaria relies heavily on Titania. She truly loves her. In the Zekrom route she is very docile because you talk to her after Titania has already spoken to her. In the Reshiram route you talk to her before Titania even arrives at the house. Amaria's mental stability really depends on Titania's existence. Even if their relationship goes bad, just being there makes Amaria happy. So I don't think she's a whiny person but all she wanted was some love. I would love for her past to actually be revealed so that we can understand why she behaves this way. I also don't understand what Zekrom or Reshiram have to do with any of this. There is nothing about truth and ideals that is being shown here. It's simply Amaria's personality to act like that. Now for the route selection. I think that is pure bs. The route splitting was a horrible choice. I get that Amaria's character is trying to be shown and expanded upon maybe too much, almost like she's the main character instead even though we are just spectators but it could have definitely been shown differently. Maybe two different scenes, one with Titania and one without just to show how Amaria acts in different situations. That would definitely speak more clearly about her character. A random Taka battle should really not decide how such an important character like Amaria acts. Taka went as fast as he came(at least in the Reshiram route) and his character doesn't have depth at all. He seems to just complain about stuff instead of trying to find a way out while Amaria probably has some kind of past trauma which affects her. So the two characters should not have been interrelated like this. Gym Battle That gym battle was super tough. Her field is so broken that it makes Titania seem tame. On her field this is what you have to remember:- 1) All water type attacks are doubled 2) Dive and Fly change the field 3) Above water no ground type moves like earthquake work and electric type attacks do more damage 4) Under water all damage from physical attacks are almost halved and electric moves do double damage 5) All water type pokemon have their speed doubled Now you will not understand how frustrating the 5th point is until you face off against Ludicolo that somehow outspeeds a freaking Noivern above water! On top of that her seeds do some insane stuff like sharply boost sp def over water or speed underwater along with a free aqua ring. Had to change my movests so much and had to give Noivern and Nidoking a focus sash just so i could survive attacks. That rotom was annoying too which is why I needed Ndoking with focus sash brick break to remove screens after I fainted rotom. Magnezone took out Rotom at the start with a nice crit(even after 5 resets Magnezone was always finishing rotom with a crit so maybe it just hates rotom that much). Greninja managed Swampert with grass knot. Noivern was using hurricane against Ludicolo after sash(had to reset like 50 times because hurricane kept on missing). Granbull okoed Kingra with play rough after surviving scald. Wishiwashi was taken out with Magnezone after using other pokemon as fodder for healing. The Lapras was just stupid. It kept on ice sharding my Greninja when I thought it would use dive so i basically revived 3 members before deciding that it was time to kill it. Overall bs battle and I did not like using brick break and changing my movesets but it had to be done. And that was my overall thoughts about Amaria and her situations. Since you already read so much, you might as well say whether you agree with my points or not. Did I miss something of importance or maybe am I seeing this whole situation in a wrong way? I would really like to know. Thanks for reading!

Well I just found a link in shofu's comments so here is the video. I think this pretty much covers everything although I really hated the narration.

Seems like everyone used some sort of gimmick to beat her. Lol, I guess I was the only one who decided to use hyper offense against hyper offense. I could have tried those seeds but I did not want to be at an advantage in her field. I thought that if Titania's gimmick was her field with seeds then I will break through with hyper offense. I still don't understand how my Greninja survived though.. You battled Reshiram? I battled a Zekrom though. I was wondering why was I battling a Zekrom when the tablets were all saying stuff about being incinerated and burning the world and stuff. It's weird. Your team looks good but you will have to rely on Golem and Metagross more than you think
-
I haven't battled Anmaria yet so no spoilers please. Against Titania I have no clue whether I lucked out or whether I would have beaten her always by this method. Her team was pretty balanced with some protect hax but everything was going fine till that Aegislash. How are you going to make it so broken like that?! Before facing the Aegislash I misclicked with Magnezone and accidentally fainted him along with Klefki. Then versus Aegislash it used king shield and I attacked with Granbull. But I thought the protect would still be active and attacked again instead of healing. It sword danced in that time. Then I decided to heal Nidoking while Aegislash changed stances, got an attack boost and killed Granbull. Now I decided to send out Greninja hoping that the AI would make some dumb move. Aegislash went for shadow sneak. Plus 3 attack Aegislash used stab shadow sneak on a Greninja and I lived it with 3 hp! How?? I was almost at full hp and my Greninja was at level 82. No hp evs or defense evs. Is it because of the fairy field? Because my life orb dark pulse instantly okoed the Aegislash. I get that Greninja resists ghost but that was plus 3 stab and maybe with attack evs too. Was it luck? I have no clue. So how did you guys fare against Titania. I want to know if my battle was tough or easy. It took me 3 tries to beat Titania. Apart from that I also had to reset so that Hydro pump and Hammer arm hit Please do comment. I'm really curious.

Alright, thanks a lot.

Since you said Danganronpa I want to ask, is it worth watching/playing Danganronpa after the second game? I watched the first game's anime and the second game. Now I feel like it's dragging out. So, do old mysteries get solved or just new mysteries keep on being created which leads to dragging out. I feel like only monokuma's identity is the mystery left but there might be more.
-
Well you could try and solve all the quests by yourself. Solve the dive spots without asking for help, do the spoink missing pearl quest, obtain 2 dark material, obtain all the department store stickers etc. And if you've actually completed all of these quests then why even bother playing any more? Play some other games if you are out of stuff to do in your free time or if this game is your entire time of the day then try doing something else in real life. Sure this game is long but all games get completed at one point and then you have to move on or simply take a break.

I swear this is the most over hyped episode ever. People are preparing stuff like they're going against an all out ubers team or something. You have so many good pokemon already, what's even the point of trying to train more? At this rate you'll just oko all of the trainer pokemon then say that this patch was too easy.
-
Ah, well good to know you got it.

If you checked all the 3 copies then the only explanation is that you chose to not upgrade the railnet or did not update anything at all. You might have also not spoken to the police chief after obtaining info that the real one is one of the fakes. So you should try that first. If that doesn't work then upgrade the railnet if you haven't already. Go to grand hall and talk to the guy there to upgrade the railnet. You could also upgrade other stuff but only one of the three things are allowed. Meaning if you upgrade railnet then you can't upgrade anything else, if you upgrade the slums then you can't upgrade anything else, etc.

Is Pokemon: Legends Of The Arena still going?

Oh wow, did not expect such a detailed explanation. Thanks a lot, I remember everything now! -

Don't know about you guys but I have completely forgotten the storyline. He had better change the beginning or something because it is kinda long game. -
I just hope it becomes the gym leader theme again. I love getting beaten by a gym leader and have this theme playing so I know that this is some serious stuff I'm dealing with. The current gym theme just feels like it's not that tough.
-
Only thing I want is the old gym leader theme back. The battle with Adreann had horrible music. I missed trainer red remix so much.

Two things:- 1) The story should make sense and not have the protagonist know stuff but don't do anything about it. 2) I think I'm not the only one who feels like this, but I'm boxing the Vulpix the moment I get another starter. It just doesn't fit into the grass/fire/water type which are always the essential types in a Pokemon game. Maybe an easy event would be better instead of just one starter.

Granbull. Excellent tank. 252 attack, 128 hp and 128 defense. Eating poison jabs easily and normal attacks while dishing out so much damage. Put on an assault vest on this set and you have the best physical wall which can actually attack.

I feel like you could open a shiny emporium as an occupation or something. These pokemon look so cool, but I can't trade anything without internet so no pokemon for me at least for now. I guess this comment is just for notification that this thread exists.

I have a question and I would appreciate an answer
Zander replied to Zander's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I guess it does make sense like that. I'm glad, I'm not the only one who answers like this. That is the exact reasoning I use to answer like this because even I would get bored if someone started simply telling reasons for a answer without me knowing the context at all. Yeah, especially in true/false questions with reasons they will always look for first correct or incorrect and then the answer. But in general questions where you have to provide your opinion, I get confused though I am learning to write properly in those. Why would you put the conclusion last? Is it because, it's asked last in the question or is that just a general answering order? Well sure if both parties are arguing about one thing then it might make sense but I still tend to get confused if someone simply starts with reasons. Plus stating the conclusion first kinda gives a concluding effect that this is my final opinion. At least that's what I think. -
My mom has been telling me this for a long time but today I got really annoyed about this. Question When you speak or write a statement, do you give the conclusion first and reasoning after or do you first provide all the reasoning and then end it with a conclusion? Example Q) Is blood donation for money ethically correct? Answer 1 Blood donation for money is ethically correct, when the corruption is removed from the process. Answer 2 When corruption is removed from the process, blood donation for money is ethically correct. When I was discussing this with my mom, I said Answer 1 and before I could complete she interrupted me. Only after 3 mins she fully listened to my statement. Then she says that what I said was the wrong way of saying it because human minds are wired to first know the reason and then the conclusion. She also said that if I ever said Answer 1 to anyone else, even in an exam, the listener/corrector would simply ignore my answer because it sounded wrong. So can someone tell me if that is the case? I find it very weird and it's been bugging me a lot so I would appreciate an answer. Thanks

Damn I've not made a single comment worthy of this thread It's too late now but maybe don't trade away all your plates? I have a feeling that there will be a side quest or maybe even a storyline quest to get all of them for Arceus or something. -
Well if the story is interesting enough to keep me engrossed then I wouldn't mind. But if it's totally predictable and same good guy-bad guy things again then no, I would hate it. I played omnicron but I was okay with the restart because they introduced the concept of shadow pokemon and also gave you an option to join the evil team. Plus in the restart there were new megas and psuedo legendaries like hydreigon available to play. So yeah, normally bad but if it's a good story then it's fine.
