  1. My feelings when I want to update my run, but I am too bored to describe the consecutive double battles in Fiore Mansion...
  2. But he IS fabulous, he deserves to steal the show! I honestly have so much fun reading his sexual innuendos, Cain is pure class! When it comes to Julia, she could have more depth, kinda shallow as a character, I agree, but maybe because story elements aren't revealed yet (early relationship with Flo/Fern/Titania/Amaria, school years, how they fell apart). No pokemon deserves to be called "a roadkill". First of all, because I have lost my pet by a car once and just saying this as an insult to something, to pinpoint its uselessness is beyond offensive and harsh. And secondly, because everything, regardless of how small/ weak/ with low stats it is, it has usefulness in it. And it is same with life. Nobody is useless just because he/she is weak, not good at classes or anything. It consists an indirect bullying to pokemon to say that. I might be overreacting, but this is how I feel. Finally, using Stunfisk doesn't mean you aren't good at pokemon... You just liked to play with a not common option. In the years I can tell that most people who DON'T use common pokemon (which are the most powerful usually), are more skillful. Just because they need to be clever to overcome the weaknesses. And that's Reborn's biggest advantage, that it makes you get out of your way and use underrated pokemon. And not only that. It makes you love them. Yes, I love Garbodor, you all can kill me now
  3. Scrat is the prehistoric squirrel from Ice Age movie series xD I absolutely adore him!
  4. We have Taka infiltrating their lines and assisting us. Also, Titania is playing a double-agent like thingy, but I think she just gives false intel to Team Meteor for ages. (if we believe her that is). I believe that Fern, Florinia, Amaria, Julia and Titania have much more backstory... And their behaviour, like Amaria's depression, Florinia's refusal to show any emotion, Fern's assholeness (pardon my word-creating skills here) and Titania's aggressiveness have much deeper causes. And I think that our trip in Tourmaline desert and battle vs Titania in E17 will reveal many things around this topic. Believe it or not, I've never ever used a Gogoat , and I want so desperately to use it oneday... I've studied it too much, but never had the luck to have one in my squad!
  5. @DigitalAmber If it isn't too much trouble, I'd love a custom sprite pack of Gundham Tanaka from Danganronpa... I wanna replace the MC sprites with this and do a mono-rodent/bred animal run
  6. Oh, then it makes sense! Yes, there are so many interesting strategies to implement in Doubles. However I find Shuckle to be a bit lackluster in Single Battles, which is why I haven't used it. It either needs a team to revolve around it with setting up moves and Baton passing everything to it, or be lucky to only face Special Attackers in order to be able to survive after Power Trick. In my battle vs Charlotte, I did something similar with what you did vs Aya, a solid strategy and a sweep. Feel free to check it out
  7. @Awesome_One I shall call you Scrat! Good luck
  8. @DemICE Thanks for the kind words! And I'm glad you enjoy it! The reason for not having screenshots is because I was playing on my laptop, and F8 was preassigned to volume change, so it was a pain to Print Screen all the time... I also didn't have any good recording program spotted/installed back then... But I'm glad that lack of screenshots doesn't make it any less fun to read! (Also, us Greeks know best what a LoL flamer REALLY looks and feels like, so you understand my feelings best!) This is very true. I considered using Sleep Powder/Q.Dance/Compound Eyes combos, but this was what carried me with my Butterfree in my second playthrough (shiny playthrough) that I did before! So, I wanted to try different ways of utilizing Butterfree. Tailwind support/Tinted Lens battle cleanup has worked perfectly well for me as well, and I also found Electroweb very useful in crippling down fast enemies after possibly tanking a hit after Q.Dance boost with a supereffective-weakening berry! I kept Sleep Powder on my Venomoth mostly because all other possible moves it could learn till Q.Dance were underwhelming, or Attack-based (which isn't Vanomoth's good point...). It proved to be quite good, but I'd definitely try something else on Venomoth next time. Without Quiver Dance, it feels a bit underwhelming. Indeed, I haven't used Shuckle, even though I considered it. But I wanted a Toxic stall beast with Rest, Wrap, Toxic and Sleep Talk... And I couldn't teach it Sleep Talk or Toxic... I haven't considered Power Trick! It would make Shuckle an offensive beast, but wouldn't it still get outsped by everything and become a glass cannon too after swapping its Defence with its Attack? Unless of course it faces Special Attacking teams, then it would have a chance to survive, even if it got outsped. Was that the case for you? How did you make it work without getting OHKO'ed right after setting up Power Trick? So, I'd have to find ways to protect him all the time, or Baton Pass him speed, which isn't my style... But I'd like to make it work someday! Edit: @rayyan No way Shuckle would've swept Charlotte without Trick Room. By the way, even without Shuckle, I swept her with Crustle... And it wasn't boring at all.. Check it out! xD
  9. Good job with everything! I finally managed to catch up with your run! Really surprised that Flamethrower didn't get reflected twice in mirror field. Also I never had realized that Noel uses a Standard badge name pun after getting defeated by us...
  10. She deserves every ounce of my hatred, until she becomes a human and provides an actual reason for joining Team Meteor, apart from her being a baby. I'd not say that a 97 in Sp. Attack is "lackluster", seems at least adequate in my eyes. But I'm glad I helped you with at least one of my recommendations! And I agree that Galvantula's defences are godawful. But again, I'm doing a Bug monorun, so I had to learn to live with relatively low stats. Maybe that's why I consider 97 Sp.Atk. to be more than solid.
  11. True, she is badass for sure. But she could've spared them... Violence gives birth to more violence. That Aegislash was level 80 anyways, could've defeated everyone on her own fair and square! xD
  12. She just talks to us in a completely disappointed tone, saying something like "took you a while, so you fought him, didn't you. whatever, you live with it". I guess it just decreases your relationship points with Titania and increases relationship points with Taka, which I am perfectly happy with. I'm completely against Titania's attitude "let's murder everyone, they are murderers anyways". No human being has the right to take another human being's life in my humble opinion. But hey, that is just my opinion In conclusion, it isn't a game-changing choice in any way, so far at least.
  13. LOL, I don't even know how this reason was created about Gardevoir... It is cute and all, but... oh well!xD
  14. I also understand... I tend to not like overly badass pokemon So, it is probably me the one who is a bit weird!
  15. Yes, my point is though that I dislike the concept, not the use it has ingame. Even though it is very strong, there are few ways to get it countered. Goodra can't fly... So, why can a landshark fly? As I said, it is just too many attributes.
  16. I dislike Garchomp because of the concept... A ground-shark that can fly. Sharks live in water. It is a ground shark. So, why fly? Looks like they shoved in too many attributes. Overloaded as hell imho.
  17. I like Goodra, but I hate Garchomp and yellow Barney. Please don't hate me... Dragonite should look like this, but instead we got a Barney... Thank you GameFreak, for destroying one of my fav mons, Dragonair...
  18. Just a matter of taste, I guess. I dislike most dragon designs in general, so...
  19. With Palkia's stupid design, of course it is hated in my eyes at least
  20. I feel you, I dislike water types too. Oh, what about joining Team Magma and getting a Buizel?
  21. What the hell is Ash's problem with his water types, LOL
  22. Took me like a trillion tries! I hoped so Wolfox! I did have no problem in annihilating the two pricks (ice and grass ones)... But most of the times that I killed him, Solaris destroyed me afterwards....
  23. CHAPTER 29: Every Teardrop is a Waterfall After acquiring the ability to enable Waterfall outside of battle, I have to head to Celestinine Cascade, next to Fiore Mansion and go down it... This means that Respect, my trusted starter Squirtle, will be unboxed and serve her purpose as a TMX assistant again! It also means that the entire raid with the -quite furious, newborn murderer- Titania into the Water Treatment Centre will have to be completed with a squad of 5 pokemon capable of fighting, instead of 6. An extra level of difficulty for this task, I'd say. Anyways, long story short, after going down the Waterfall, we find ourselves in the Water Treatment Centre. Titania is furious and kills Meteor Grunts on sight, while Taka is doing his best to stall us give us a way to keep going deeper into the facilities without having the keys to the gates. After pushing lumps of muck to the appropriate places, enabling and disabling the water supply and hopping from platform to platform, we find the source of the pollution... It is a PULSE Swalot (Jesus Christ). VS PULSE SWALOT The team I used: Willpower, the Shedinja Hardy/Wonder Guard (Item: Ghost Gem) Heal Block Confuse Ray Shadow Sneak Phantom Force Fiery Wings, the Vivillon (Male) Naive/Compound Eyes (Item: Sharp Beak) Bug Buzz Hurricane Endeavor Quiver Dance Braveheart, the Butterfree (Male) Timid/Tinted Lens (Item: Psychic Gem) Psybeam Quiver Dance Electroweb Bug Buzz First I send in my Willpower, who Heal Blocks the Swalot, to prevent it from healing like 2 million HP in the end of each turn with its Poison Heal ability (which is activated in this Field). It tries to Sludge Wave in vain, but in the end of the turn, the toxic water hurts my Shedinja. RIP. I should've given it an Air Balloon. Oh well. Then I send in Fiery Wings. I Quiver Dance, and thanks to the Sp. Defence boost, Vivillon tanks a Discharge with 23 HP. In the next turn, Fiery Wings uses Endeavor, getting PULSE Swalot down to (also) 23 HP, but then gets finished by another Discharge. Braveheart, my Butterfree then outspeeds, and finishes off PULSE Swalot with a supereffective Psybeam. We keep advancing, and find ourselves in the control room, after Titania has exposed Taka's obvious liking to our side, his obvious help, and his -also obvious- dislike towards Team Meteor's acts. Titania asks him to stop living in a lie and join the side he prefers to be on, facing the consequences, but releasing himself of a terrible burden. However, Taka says that Solaris, his father, and him are the last descendants of the family that was entrusted with the protection of Arceus' underground shrine (Citae Arc d'Astrae), so he can't do that... Titania pretty much calls him a coward, reclaims the unconscious Amaria and leaves, while I decide to help Taka, for all the times he helped us, and beat him in a battle, to make it appear like he is incompetent in the eyes of his superiors, but not a traitor. Besides that, an ally is more useful while infiltrating the ranks of the enemy, than when openly siding against them. In every way, Taka is worthy of our help. VS TAKA My team was (after going back to heal/reteach moves/shuffle): Braveheart, the Butterfree (Male) Timid/Tinted Lens (Item: Zap Plate) Psybeam Quiver Dance Electroweb Bug Buzz Fiery Wings, the Vivillon (Male) Naive/Compound Eyes (Item: Sharp Beak) Bug Buzz Hurricane Draining Kiss Quiver Dance Ecstasy, the Yanmega (Female) Modest/Speed Boost (Item: Rock Gem) Bug Buzz Detect Air Slash Ancient Power Gaia, the Galvantula (Female) Modest/Unnerve (Item: Zap Plate) Thunder Wave Discharge Bug Buzz Hidden Power Ground Royalty, the Vespiquen (Female) Bold/Pressure (Item: Occa Berry) Destiny Bond Air Slash Toxic Power Gem Guest Star: Respect, the Squirtle (Female) Docile/Torrent (Item: None) Surf Waterfall Dive Strength I wanted this to end fast, since it is just a "good deed" battle, so I allowed me a tiny cheat and used a couple healing items... Please don't hate me. Taka sends in Klefki, and I send in Braveheart. I immediately start Quiver Dancing, Klefki starts Foul Playing me, but in vain, since my Butterfree's Attack is beyond pathetic. I can easily tank 3 Foul Plays before the need to use an Ultra Potion to heal up. Klefki then Light Screens and Thunder Waves me, but I get 2 more Quiver Dances, getting to +5 now. I use a Parlyz Heal, then tank another Foul Play. In the next turn, Braveheart gets Klefki down to red with Psybeam, and tanks (barely, good calculations there) another Foul Play. In the next turn, Electroweb takes out Klefki and Light Screen expires (finally!). In the next few turns, Aerodactyl, Cradily and Chatot go down to Electroweb, Bug Buzz and Electroweb respectively, and then Taka sends in Huntail. Another Electroweb takes Huntail to 1 HP (cause it HAD to have a Focus Sash, so much for not trying Taka), and then Crunch finishes my Braveheart... RIP my sweep. I send in Gaia, who Discharges, (over)killing the Huntail by removing its last health point. And then Taka sends Gliscor. Which literally takes no damage by Ecstasy's Air Slash, or Fiery Wings' Hurricane, so I just send in Royalty and Destiny Bond it. I'm not in the mood to try this charade of a fight again. Eventually my Vespiquen goes down by a critical Night Slash, taking down Gliscor with her and granting us the victory. Only survivor is Gaia (and respect, but she doesn't count), Taka thanks us and leaves and we go meet Titania and Amaria (who is still unconscious) and Waterfall ourselves up with our Respect, as they use Deliverance, Amaria's Lapras. After getting back to Fiore Mansion, we meet Julia and Florinia who give us TMX Fly after Ame's instructions and Julia performs a tiny break of the fourth wall... xD But turns out that Team Meteor's high ranked officers are coming with a helicopter and are going to siege Fiore Mansion, knowing that we made Water Treatment Centre functional again, after disabling PULSE Swalot. So, brainiac Florinia suggests we go in and establish our defence lines... Which we will do, in the next installment! Till the next chapter, enjoy everyone!
