  1. @Sayia True. But it's not really tactful to tell them you don't like them in public... (Edit: Ninja'ed by @walpurgis) Well, @Thundermaze has offered a cuteness overload in here, so how can you not like her?
  2. Well... Good thing @Sayia doesn't like @Thundermaze... That being said... *Looks around nervously... Then looks at Thundermaze... OMOCHIKAERIIIIIIIIIIII!!!
  3. Bulbasaur: 26 Charmander: 7 Cyndaquil: 25 Totodile: 21 Mudkip: 21 Turtwig: 21 Chimchar: 12 Piplup: 23 Snivy: 15 Oshawott: 18 Chespin: 18 Fennekin: 16 Froakie: 16 Rowlet: 19 Litten: 12 Popplio: 24
  4. Volbeat, Braviary, Nidoking, Gallade, Hitmonchan and Tauros and I'm pretty sure you could just go through the entire region only with those 6.
  5. That different shade of white on Litten is driving my OCD mad, so I will fix it. Current standings! Bulbasaur: 25 Charmander: 10 Cyndaquil: 28 Totodile: 20 Treecko: 5 Torchic: 3 Mudkip: 21 Turtwig: 21 Chimchar: 15 Piplup: 22 Snivy: 16 Oshawott: 19 Chespin: 19 Fennekin: 19 Froakie: 16 Rowlett: 20 Litten: 12 Popplio: 22
  6. I consider Normals as 'mons you'd mostly find free in their natural habitat in various areas, based on many different kind of animals. It's kind of a real-life zoo in the world of pokemon! Got deers, lions, lizards, urangutans, giraffes, birds, beavers and various rodents, cats, dogs, kangaroos, chimpanzees, bears, cows and chameleons. I'd say that the only one out of space is Porygon, since a Psychic typing would fit more, to be honest. And Ditto. And Castform too, but that's an other discussion (I love Castform). Type-Null is in same category too, making me think that we have: NORMAL= zoo IRL + artificial pokemon (?)
  7. Now that you mention it, it's a common thing of my monoruns. Bugs, Poison, Normal types are all abundant early on.
  8. Since Normal is one of my favourite types (together with Bug, Poison, Grass and Ice), I hope to make you like it a bit more! I'm doing it mostly because I haven't used Deerling in ages and I've missed it so much So, I'll trade in a shiny one I caught in my Bug monorun and use it as my starter!
  9. Thanks a lot Azery! That's why I mostly keep my vids private until my topic here catches up, dunno how these slipped this time though! xD That's a good idea I hadn't thought of! My alternative for double would be to give Venusaur an Air Balloon and use it in combination with Crobat setting up Sunny Day. Chlorophyll and Petal Blizzard of my Physical Venusaur would destroy Amaria in Doubles. I generally save the last moveslot on my Crobat for utility moves. Rain Dance saved my life in the horrible battles vs Charlotte. Sunny Day would probably be good here. Tailwind is another great utility move (used it a lot with my Butterfree in my Bug monotype if you've read my progress there-pretty much defeated Cal only thanks to that and Masquerain's Hydro Pump). But I'd keep Cross Poison and replace Fly. I like having both STABs, even though Cross Poison is kinda underwhelming on Crobat sometimes. Defog would be nice to have too in general, but Poison types aren't awfully weak to Stealth Rock, plus it is not used that much by Reborn leaders (bar Noel and maybe Terra and Hardy in the future(?). I have a Gastly, a friend (@Revan) who was also doing a Poison monorun traded one to me ages ago, but haven't trained her up... I will probably do in the future though, since I don't really like my chances at battling Anna having only Drapion and/or Skuntank to counter her Psychic types... Sadly, my Dragalge was traded in to me as well so it doesn't know Toxic Spikes, but Drapion can learn it! And yes, Gengar Venoshock vs Poisoned foes does ridiculous damage... I also want to train up a Toxapex. That thing is a beast.
  10. I don't like this about Serperior. And this. It's tilting me. But I like snake-based Pokemon. I'd easily make a solo-snake run.
  11. Yep, upvote Snivy. Cause even the ones I dislike deserve some love. I won't be responsible for traumatising any cute lil starter. Bulbasaur: 25 Charmander: 10 Cyndaquil: 28 Totodile: 19 Treecko: 4 Torchic: 3 Mudkip: 21 Turtwig: 23 Chimchar: 16 Piplup: 22 Snivy: 18 Oshawott: 18 Chespin: 19 Fennekin: 19 Froakie: 16 Rowlett: 20 Litten: 12 Popplio: 22
  12. @Dorcas You derped, Bibs... Anyways, current standings! Bulbasaur: 25 Charmander: 10 Squirtle: 3 Cyndaquil: 26 Totodile: 19 Treecko: 5 Torchic: 5 Mudkip: 24 Turtwig: 22 Chimchar: 16 Piplup: 21 Snivy: 16 Oshawott: 18 Chespin: 19 Fennekin: 21 Froakie: 18 Rowlet: 19 Litten: 16 Popplio: 23
  13. I do like Crabominable. Who could hate a crossbreed of Yeti and Kingler! But I need an Ice/Bug too! *pouts* B... b... but, they gave us Alolan Persian... And Golem. Don't be greedy
  14. So... Sand Rush? Edit: We have gotten so much off-topic, jeez... I'ma call it quits here
  15. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Now, to an indefinitely long wait, till E18 is released...
  16. Could work! I still have no clue how a 'mon (Butterfree) that in Gen I had no solid offensive Flying type move (Gust was Normal I think in Gen I) but had a solid offensive Psychic type move ended up being Flying instead of Psychic. I guess that, if Butterfree or Vivillon became Psychic though, they'd lose their niche (CompoundEyes abuse), since they'd have to get Levitate... Or they'd not, but we'd have the common weird thing where a 'mon that can fly gets hit by Ground type moves. We'd all love a Bug/Dragon Mega Flygon, I think... Losing STAB on Ground attacks would hurt, but it would be freaking awesome. There are actual bugs in nature that only survive in cold climate. Here they are. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grylloblattidae So what, we can have a Fighting/Ice type crab (ffs), but not a replica of a real species?
  17. I'm saddened by the fact that we still, after 7 generations, don't have any Psychic/Bug or Ice/Bug type Pokemon. I'd like a Mega Vivillon with its secondary type matching its area of evolution. This way, we could cover the remaining types xD No, Alolan Exeggutor exists... Edit: Ninja'ed by @NickCrash
  18. Maybe render the user unable of using status moves for the rest of the battle. Not give them the opportunity to set for free field boosted (+3) Swords Dance (Excadrill/Aegislash) or Sandstorm (Sand Rush Excadrill). Or, if it allowed status moves, nullify Field's boosts to the 'mon that used it from that moment on. Let Fire hit it super-effectively, Sacred Sword be Fighting type only, etc. Just two things I came up with just now. Aegislash is too busted right now in that field... Gaining + fucking 5 in attack AND priority STAB before you get the chance to touch it is OP. I have no clue which Fields activate which Seeds, I think we should check all of them and write down the effects! We also need the Field notes updated with seed interactions in my opinion... (Edit: Just checked, and Field notes include the seed interactions! I've got some homework to do during my Normal mono) I'm a bit weird, yes! Liking the underrating 'mons, disliking the obvious, powerful ones, not doing the most simple things (well, apart from (nearly) sweeping Luna with Moxie Heracross and Samson with Acrobatics Crobat)! I enjoyed the battles though! I'll probably upload my important battles in my Normal mono too. I aim to do a mono of every type, but goal is quite far still! 2/18 done though...
  19. Thank you! Yes, throughout the run it has been very very useful, so I'm keeping it on at least one 'mon of mine! Ohhh, thanks for the explanation, I never considered the possibility that it is what Elemental Seed does in Murkwater Field! So it's similar to Desert field, where it give stat boost in 3 categories, but applies Sand Tomb on user. Kinda like a double-edged sword (unlike the OP Magical seed on Fairytale Field that has no drawback). I find it more balanced than Magical Seed! Yes, indeed, I could've gone into Muk and Acid Armor'ed up... I didn't even know that Acid Armor is buffed in Murkwater, only found out now that you told me and checked Field notes! When it comes to Acrobatics, like @St0mpa said, the game checks for a held item after it gets consumed, so Acrobatics has 110 Power AND gains the Flying Gem boost! Artemis, my Toxicroak has Dry Skin too! Now, why I didn't use it... Well, good question! I thought of adding it in, (I almost did, it's recorded on video at some point), but I thought it would be an overkill... Battle was more challenging this way! Seeing how battles came after winning them, I'd probably replace my Victreebel if I played that again. Grass coverage is great vs Water types, but Victreebel couldn't (can't in general) really tank hits for the life of it...
  20. Steel Wing has 90% acc., so a Wide Lens would make that 99%, practically eliminating the problem. For Iron Tail I agree... Can't be helped... Excadrill might be a better choice indeed, but it won't outspeed many things outside a sandstorm... vs slow Fairies though, it will be amazing, but don't thing Fairies are completely unable to counter it. A Prankster Whimsicott can literally stall it to death, especially if it locks you into Swords Dance/Earthquake. But yes, as @Thundermaze said, Excadrill is overall better. I'd just go for Flygon, cause Flygon is awesome <3
  21. I honestly don't think that, if Fairy stopped resisting Bug, Scizor would be any better vs Fairy... As @NickCrash said, it never relied on Technician Bug Bite/U-Turn, but on priority Technician Bullet Punch. I am in doubt about whether that would render the Bugs a bit OP though, since they hit Super Effectively Dark/Psychic and Grass already and have A TON of secondary type coverage... That's why, even though they get resisted by almost everything, they remain relevant.
  22. Flygon is usually carrying Iron Tail to hit Fairy types though. It's a pretty good idea, since most Fairy types aren't strong in physical defense, and, after a Dragon Dance, an Iron Tail will most likely OHKO. An Earthquake, Iron tail, Dragon Claw/Outrage (maybe?) and Dragon Dance set is quite good for Flygon...
  23. Poison>Water! Last chapter (for E17) of Reborn's Poison monotype:
