  1. The argument OP's trying to make is that the RNG to getting a jackpot starter is pretty much arbitrary when players would just muscle through that and get what they want through an indefinite, but likely small number of soft resets (compared to the soft resets required to get a shiny Pokemon in the main games). It's like, placing that ONE Cut tree in Sheridan Wetlands, so the player would have to go back and fetch a Cut slave, because no one thought they'd need a Cut HM slave ever again. The thing about this is, the process is a chore. You wouldn't feel a single ounce of enjoyment from either hitting that F12 or fetching a Cut slave, much like how you wouldn't feel happy being stuck in a traffic jam for an hour straight, even if there's free ice cream waiting at the end of it. Now, you might bring up Shiny Pokemon as a counterargument, however... Having a Shiny Pokemon does not affect gameplay at all. It's shininess is purely a trophy quality. Having a different starter on the other hand, actually matters gameplay-wise, and may affect your experience throughout the game. Picking a starter is the biggest event in a trainer's life, after all. Like Alex said, people have even decided to just inject the Pokemon they want to get by the arbitrary RNG barrier. This also applies to the Mystery Egg, which is decided upon your new game. I'm personally against having special Pokemon bound to the jackpot machine. The Dev Team has already balanced the game with them in mind (At least, I hope that's the case). There's no reason not to normalize their accessibility other than the mere fact of them not being standard starters.
  2. "Y-You just wouldn't listen, huh?" Halley panted, distraught over the wounds. The effects of her suppressor were mostly removed by the opposing field officers, which further annoyed her. The numbers of the skeletal warriors kept increasing, so she had no choice but to let the officers off the hook for awhile. Blaster - Paralyzer on DT Archer Battalion A, lowering their STR, RES, and DEX by [SYN]/2 = 3 for three turns. 2 turn cooldown. Treated as a status effect. Lightspeed Justice Delivery: [DEX]*2=14% chance for non-damaging moves to go first. Caps at 100% chance.
  3. I command to crush, and off with his head, with the griffin's sharp talon. Soldiers onward now, pray for your queen, raise your spade right now, gather lines for break. Nut cracker kingdom out, hit to the left, cotton candy privates are melting down, let the red queen off with off with off with his head. Hit to the right, lollipop sergeants are crumblin' down, it's time to win battle. The singer poured her heart out with each and every verse, singing a world that could've been. Oppositions fell like an egg thrown at a rock. The singer's stance was clear, and it was quite a surprise that she was tolerated here. Pokemon sympathizers are few to none in the city, after all. The ruckus happening next to Emmanuel surprised him, snapping him back from the fairy tale. "Wh-What happened?" He turned to look at Cathode, particularly confused.
  4. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7randombattle-608397273 Zangoose is a clutch. I repeat, Zangoose is a clutch.
  5. Tai Libra? She can't make it after all. At least, my flames were true. The throne room was filled with contrasting gold and purple, irking him a slight bit. He wasn't exactly familiar with the tastes of the royalties. As for formalities, he decided to imitate Queen. He stepped forward and made himself heard. "I am Supernova," he reached for a glass of wine and rose it aloft, returning the favor, "to the generous God of the plane that granted us the opportunity to fight in His land." He took a sip from the glass and took a bite off a loaf of bread, then promptly returned to his original position.
  6. A paradise... Emmanuel thought to himself. His eyes rolled toward the windows, as he pretty much spaced out, listening to the lyrics of the song. I'm the queen of this land, where trump cards are bow, and the rabbits are marching. Here's the knight who uses a cookie sword with sugarplum, and he invaded the garden of my rose. The techno beats told an old story, where a Tsareena and her legion of Pokemon fought in defense of her land against human invaders wielding cookie swords. The story was all to familiar to little Emmanuel, a popular fable ever since the collapse of the village. His mother used to tell this story, too. It was one of the few things he managed to remember before his contact with Solosis. He could see why Rob and Betani took a dislike for the song.
  7. Halley HP: 46/48 STR: 3 DEX: 7 INT: 1 SYN: 6 RES: 5 CON: 3 "You're not coming any closer, freaks!" Halley fired a spray of suppressing energy at the incoming forces. Action: Sparkling Suppressor on [SYN]/2 = 3 targets: DT Archer Battalion A, B, and DT Warrior Battalion C. Inflict [SYN]=6 damage + an additional 1d4 damage for every 4 DEX advantage (Chain Fire). Disables Basic Defense and Basic Attack for one turn. Two turn cooldown.
  8. That's 11 PM for me. Sorry, I'm sitting out of this one.
  9. Halley was informed and rounded up with the rest of the siegebreaker team. Apparently, her commander was switched, so she just decided to wait as she continued drilling the book.
  10. The beacons are lit.

  11. Aera "Nothing. I just want company," Aera replied. It occurred to her that she shouldn't subject the twin to awkward silence, so she did her best and tried to come up with an actual topic. "A-Anyway, what do you think about Tobias?"
  12. Emmanuel entered the car and took the rear row. He thought about what Betani said a bit, before finally asking, "what were the role of Gina and her husband during the incident? And how were they able to stay after the incident?"
  13. Tai Something? Why are you so vague all the sudden- ... Fine. Tai went on to finish his drumsticks. Needless to say, he wouldn't buy all the vague answers. Right, there's more ahead of me. I shouldn't be concerned over this. He went to the juice bar and got himself a glass of lemonade, trying to pump himself back to 100%.
  14. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7randombattle-92276 Kricketune is unstoppable!
  15. This may be more of a Nintendo thing but, a lot of the games that I want to play are console-exclusives, which is why consoles appeal to me more.
  16. "Come now, do you really think a few gram of gold really matters to me? Anyway, I'll keep the book around. As for the Servants- " Halley was interrupted by LOTUS' announcement. "Well, I guess I don't have to worry about them anymore. I'll tag along with ya to look for Lexiel, though for different goals," she followed Solomon in the hopes of finding Lexiel.
  17. "Pawn it? Why would I need their local currencies? Medieval sticks and bones don't cut it for me, ya know?" Halley answered Solomon, "I'll keep it around, I guess. Thanks anyway." She rolled her eyes a bit, before asking a question. "You're a librarian, right? You must have read a lot of books. Do those descriptions of the servants ring any bell?"
  18. Aera Aera put some mundane crackers in her mouth. They weren't particularly delicious, but they were enough for her. She sat in her seat for a good while before it became evident that there would be no other company unless she sought for them. It was quite an unnerving feeling, having no one next to you to order you around, forced to carry out your mindless steps. And so she sought solace. She teleported into Artemis and Fowl's room. With a meek "Hi," she let herself in. She just sat there with the twin, purely enjoying their company.
  19. Emmanuel took the surprising offer, realizing the problem here. It was as if Betani were a Tsareena to the little Steene, and perhaps, it would be the best to treat her like one, bar the excessive honorifics. As for further questions, he did have one, actually. "What happened over the Cadet Security back when we were in Nexus #08, Ms. Tri? And, how was Gina able to intercept the flight and leave without you?"
  20. Halley received words and came to the Courtyard. She gave the book a second reading and started to figure things out, for better or worse. That was a lot of information for her, but she managed to simplify it into just "beat one, get sick weapon, and move on to the next one." A strategy that she wasn't all that unfamiliar to. The descriptions of the servants did echo something buried deep in the part of the memory that she marked as "cool fluff from ancient times that I can use to name things." In particular, the Lancer's holy lance. It was... Gung... Gung- what? Gungnir? She put away the book and waited for the others to arrive, standing about.
  21. Incompatibility error? Lycanroc should be able to learn Rock Climb (as it gets it from level up as well). Geodude should be able to learn Rock Climb as well.
  22. Shiny Delibird's sprite is bugged.
  23. Emmanuel was particularly annoyed by the reappearance of the girl, but he knew to hold back. At least, he'd hold back as long as possible. Solosis nudged him quietly from the back, as he took up a faked friendliness toward the girl. "Hello again, Betani. Would you like to properly introduce yourself again? I'm sure we're all ears," he said warmly, as he followed her into the elevator.
