Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]
IntSys replied to Bfroger6's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Emmanuel rolled his eyes. He figured that it would be pointless to argue over the number of people in correlation to Wailord's emotional status and the ability to save the Wailord at all. Without much resistance, he turned away and walked south, to Corridor #3. Through the distance between the crystal blockade on the surface and the wellspring, he was able to pinpoint the location of a possible natural reservoir down south, which he marked with a yellow dot on the map. "I'm going to try to reach the reservoir of the wellspring. Who's coming?" -

... Emmanuel could tell that Kalva had no concrete plans whatsoever, only the heart to do so. The Wailord needed help, not a heart of gold, yet there didn't seem to be a way to get the message across without stirring up more trouble. Would it hurt to check the Wailord, though? They'd have to pick a route anyway. He decided to keep the thoughts to himself and see through the deal. -

The water seemed to be identical to the water he had collected before. That would only mean one thing... The spring had its water from here. ... And, it would be possible to find what was underneath the spring from here, perhaps a larger body of water? The water had healing properties... While the Wailord may feel pain from being stuck in a tight cave, the water would constantly restore its health. That begged the question: How long had it been there? Upon noticing Kalva's willingness to help out the Wailord, Emmanuel stepped forward and objected. "Kalva, we don't have a reliable way to move the Wailord. We must wait for reinforcements. While it's in pain, it may very well still be in good health, thanks to the healing property of the water here. The catch rate of our Aether Balls would be abysmal against it." "We'll take care of it later, alright?" -

Seeing Morelull wasn't provoked by Taylor's approach at the end, he felt somewhat relieved. He turned back and saw Kalva taking care of Radovan, so he felt like he should just move on ahead. And to where? The new hole, of course! Emmanuel hopped down the hole, along with Solosis and Poochy. The first thing that he noticed was not the amazing sight of the crystalline cavern, but rather the cold water. He collected some of the water with his A-Comm, comparing its contents with the water he had collected from the well (At least, its record) previously. -

Tai The inner silence seemed to have given Tai a comforting answer. He caught Hiroki's glance. It was as if she wanted the man who got the first taste of Cardinal's wrath to say something, and so he did. "She shut my mech down effortlessly, piercing through every single wire with each rift. Your competition is useless. As long as we're relying on our mechs, even if we could be trained to resist the... pain, we cannot bear a candle against her." "That's the Achilles' Heels that I'm sure all of us share. Is there a solution to this?" He raised the question. "If not... " He muttered the two words, with the rest of the sentence kept in his thoughts. In his mind, there was another solution - talk the mad girl out of it, be it complying to all her wishes, just to trade for her relinquishing her powers. He did not wake up today knowing that he would have to sacrifice himself. Yet, it wasn't like he had anyone important to him left. It had always been him, alone. He had no reason to be selfless now. Prior to Cardinal's outrage, for a moment, he honestly thought that he no longer had to be alone in his fight, even for only awhile, and that he could walk away with the sweet memories of company. And even now, he kept wondering if there was another way. He held his breath and suppressed the pessimistic thoughts. All hope wasn't lost, maybe the Gods did have a solution that they overlooked... -
La Lune honestly felt offended by the sorry excuse of an attack. So much so that she wasted no time and announced to the crew right away. "Attention all crew members, this is the Captain speaking. Ready the Eclipse EMP Blasters. Pilots, prepare for battle." She returned her attention to the elven pirate's call. "These freights are under the joint protection of the UFP, the CSS, and the Council of Five. Cease your aggression and take your Terran float elsewhere, or we'll be forced to retaliate."

Emmanuel was still focused on the Morelull. He recognized the move the Morelull had used as Sleep Powder. Before he was able to wake Radovan up, he saw Taylor approaching the little fungus. Morelull did not react as wildly as before, so he figured that it would be okay. Nevertheless, just to be safe, he had Solosis ready a Snatch, anticipating another Spore. -

La Lune let out a sigh and replied. "We do not possess the authorizations required to frisk our clients. We're in no place to question our assignment. Furthermore, you should be glad that you are on what you call a 'milk run,' if you value your life as much as you should." The Vanian sent her Sigmus' profile, protesting again. "And? Do you know the purpose of our unit? We're here to demonstrate the so-called unity between the Federation and the Coalition. Every assignment we complete will further that cause."

La Lune sat on a little armchair and stared into the windows of the Command Bridge. The Crescent sailed behind the three meek freighters, forming a diamond pattern, with the dreadnought herself taking a higher elevation than the rest. The silence was almost as dreadful as the boring escort mission. Whose bright idea was it anyway to get a god damn Council Dreadnought to escort some strawberry cargoes anyway? Her eyes rolled left and right in a habitual fashion, repeatedly scanning for any abnormalities. In a twist of fate, the abnormality was not outside the glass before her, but rather from her comms. "Hey, are we there yet?" A quick recall of the information she received about her current crew members revealed that the voice belonged to none other than a Vanian Petty Officer, apparently a decent hacker. She was somewhat amused by his complete disregard toward the formalities in the ranks, which was quite odd considering him having served in the bloody Fantanan Civil War. After thinking for a few seconds, she decided to answer. " Petty Officer Regi Arte hen Tesmund, you'd be well-advised to address me by my title at the very least," her voice was almost as cold as the containers in which the strawberries were stored. "Regardless, we are not there yet, if it isn't immediately obvious to you already."

"Woah... " Halley gazed upon the utter destruction laid upon her enemies. She almost felt pity for her foes. Though, it wasn't like they didn't have a chance to flee. That thought alone somewhat comforted Halley enough for her to put down the leftover skeletal soldiers. Halley fired at DT Soldier Battalion D, dealing 1d8 + SYN = 1d8 + 6 damage + 1d4 damage for every 4 DEX advantage she has over the target.

While many would view microtransactions as bad, they also gave birth to the Free-To-Play model, which eased the investment risk on the publisher's side and the players' side. The mobile game market wouldn't have boomed had the model not succeed. Such model allows the games to be fueled by the monetary support of their customers instead of the financial investment of the publisher, and honestly, should the developers be able to appease both the whales and the players that don't spend a single buck, I'm perfectly fine with this model and this may be why gachas are popular and have been seeing more and more successes. However, I can't really tolerate microtransactions on a paid game. More often than not the existence of DLCs does not reflect the game's price, and it feels like I'm paying for what could very well be a F2P game instead. I guess my stance would be: F2P games? Appease your playerbase and your buyers at the same time and I'm perfectly fine with your microtransactions. DLCs? Stop treating your games like they're F2P games when they're not supposed to be.

It's time for the seventh installment of the increasingly crazy Theme Tours! What's the shtick this time, you ask? Rules: - Arceus only. - No more than one type of Arceus at the same time. (ie. You can't run two Normal Arceus, nor three Rock Arceus) The tour will be played in Anything Goes. Vote for the time in which the tour will be held: http://www.strawpoll.me/14042294 And lastly, have fun!

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

"Wait... Where did the Kakuna go? They were here when we were here last time, and the corruption couldn't have possibly influenced living beings. Poochy here's enough of a living proof for that," Emmanuel pondered, observing his surroundings, "there must still be areas left for them to migrate." He looked up, watching as Cathode climbed up her Onix. "Cathode, do you see a second path leading to the clearing past the trees? And, do you see any bit of green up there?" -

"The crystals are too hard to dig through, but I know a place where we can dig through - the forest! The ground was soft and swampy there, and there was even a little spring at the clearing. We can dig down from there!" Emmanuel pointed south. He lead the way enthusiastically, wasting no time. -

Tai Tai nodded as well. In hindsight, there wasn't really anything here stopping Cardinal from listening in. Somehow, he felt like he had made a fatal mistake, simply by showing up here in the chamber. ... Are you still here? His usual smile was already gone. On his mind, there was nothing but regret. Yet, maybe he was just naive, but, he expected an immediate answer here. Perhaps, if Cardinal were listening in, she would be just as outraged as she had been last time... Or maybe, she would listen for once. -

Aera "W-Well, we can still help you by saving Vicky even if you're not here, can't we?" Aera was confused by Min-Su's reasoning. To her, the only possible explanation was that she was just worried about Vicky. Though, she didn't seem to be in a hurry at all. At the end, Aera decided to just go with the assumption. "Don't worry! We'll bring her back!" She said confidently, as if trying to reassure her. -
Before you ask, I'm around 50% serious with this team. I really just want to find a way to fit the infamous triad of crappy abilities (Slow Start, Defeatist, and Truant) into a team, all while using the bottom of the barrel. Kecleon supports the two Normal-type giants in Doubles and Triples, while Combusken supports Regigigas in Singles by passing Speed and Substitute. Kabutops rounds off the Fighting-type weakness by acting as a bait.

Aera Her eyes widened in shock, but she managed to regain her composure. The only trait Min-Su and her daughter shared was just one blue eye, so Aera found it quite hard to believe the woman's words. She had her doubts, and the woman seemed to be willing to answer questions freely, but she decided that her doubts should be put aside till later. "Ohhh... But, why are you here, then?" -

"Lettuce wraps. Help yourself if you want some." Emmanuel answered Frederick's question. "Of course. It's not like we have a choice now, do we? I'd like to collect more samples this time around." He turned to Kai, and then turning back to take Solosis and Poochy's empty bowls. "Oh right, Mr. Mason, when will we be going?"
