Emmanuel, with Nicaea in his embrace, walked over to the now-lifeless shards and picked them up. It was quite a gamble. And, honestly, he was expecting to be scolded by Betani anytime now. He figured that Radovan and Cathode had the tree taken care of, and they did. It was just, going for the extra mile for some extra Exp. He considered the possibility of the shards busting out of the A-Comm again, so he decided to keep it within his pockets. He used it instead to test if there was signal.

Serra noticed Katie opening the door, and passed the letter to her. She then saw Professor Oak. Not exactly someone she'd see a lot, as after all, his shows only aired in Kanto and Johto. Though, she had heard a few things about the man himself. She nodded at the professor before taking a bagel, a cup of coffee, and some butter. She then sat down, taking a sip of the coffee. Not bad. She gave it another sip before putting it down.

"Banned" is a very strong word here. Mafia was also very popular (And probably still is), and the folks that started the Mafia craze here opened up the Mafia club. I don't see why we can't do that. Moving to clubs is not "banning" it, but rather organizing it in a way that doesn't overtake a more general subforum's purpose. The battle took a turn for the worse. But, the readings convinced him not to send Nicaea in - not yet. She'd need more power, in order to overpower the Aurora Beam coming from the pink core, the Oblivion Wing coming from the gray core, and the Razor Winds coming from the tree itself. On this episode of "IntSys makes terrible life decisions," I present to you, Battle Network: Wily's Legacy. Almost everything is crammed in this Google Doc (Click Me!) Discord Server (Click Me!) (Special Thanks to @Empiricist for sitting with me for about a month, condensing what used to be 9 pages of information for me, and helping me test and improve the combat mechanics. I wouldn't be able to get here without your help) The Combat's deeper than it looks, but don't worry, additional mechanics will be introduced and briefed as we encounter them. In this RP, in order to maintain steady activity, there are a few "rules" to be aware of: I'm looking for 4 to 8 players at the moment, but that might change if this somehow sees enough interest.

Serra was actually not all that bothered by the whole training regimen and checkups deal. Truth to be told, she had never held a gun, or needed to use one, for that matter. It'd be a neat experience, she thought. She took out a ballpoint pen from her pockets and scribbled her particularly ugly signature on the bottom of the letter. She stared at Jayden as he continued keeping his Inkay out of the ball, judging silently. She shrugged it off at the end and followed him into the conference room.

"... Right." Serra muttered at Emilia's disappointing answer as she hastily followed her in an attempt to escape the spiraling chaos occurring behind her. The smokescreen was quite bothersome, so she decided to open the envelope after she got inside.

Serra was somewhat disappointed by the interruption. She, of course, continued with what she was doing and followed Emilia back to the office building. She raised one more question, though. "Miss Emilia, what's in the envelopes?" She asked as she showed the envelope given to her by the Bulbasaur.

Serra gave Elias a long, hard stare, before breaking into laughter. With him willing to make the stand and sacrifice himself for everyone else, there wasn't any reason to stop him anymore. And besides, it would've been a nice opportunity to see the Magikarp's abilities. She simply responded with a surprisingly warm "Good luck." She thought about intervening with Cleffy by snatching the Pokeball, but she decided to scrap the plan for now. She took the envelope and paced toward Emilia, all while paying half of her attention to the unfolding battle.

Serra facepalmed at Elias' display of foolery. She shot an eye at him, then her new boss. She finally turned back to Elias. "And for we're going to be working together, you'd best do everyone here a favor and not fight the Magikarp. It's a lose-lose no matter what the outcome is," her tone grew stern. Keeping up the act was tiring, but she would not let a random guy ruin her first day at work. She still had one more backup plan should the young man completely ignore her words and fight anyway.

The last few words were particularly annoying to Serra's ears. But, she knew better than to lose her cool on her first day at work. She made herself heard again swiftly, intending to snatch the initiative before anyone else lash out and decides to fight the Magikarp for their own ego. "We can make up for our lack of strength and skill in Pokemon Battling in other areas. After all, you were hiring detectives, not Pokemon Trainers."
