  1. If I recall correctly, you have to gather enough children, one of them will sell the berries but I'm pretty sure you don't have to buy all the upgrades but at least one.
  2. I think the thing I like the most about myself is my laziness and indifference. My laziness allows me to pursue a life where I do minimal efforts for the task I have to do. My indifference makes me care less about the end result which does not make me feel bad about doing the minimal. This results in maximum time to do things that I truly enjoy with minimal stress,worry,.... Phew, took me a while to grab this answer. Thanks for the soul searching.
  3. Hello, really interesting OC you have and I really like the artwork. Welcome to reborn.
  4. I would start in Kalos because it would be a new area to me. My starter would be fenniken because I like the mage-like look of Delphox. My team would eventually look like: -Delphox -Aegislash -Noivern -Sylveon -Malamar -Clawitzer
  5. First love the art, it looks threatening andd powerfull. Just the feeling this pkmn should generate. Interesting is that the arc behind his head reminds me of a crescent moon which in reminds me of Cresselia. Second So we got a pkmn with special attack in the top 10 while being the second fastest pkmn in the game. Scary... . So scary I'm happy that I chose the choice scarf in both my runs, now my gengars can outspeed it and destiny bond it. Now hoping on no dark void.
  6. I thought it was made very clear that Shiv wasn't the good guy in this story. I mean he still has that stone even though he shouldn't since he said he would destroy it and he also killed his own brother. Therefore I don't trust Shiv as far as I could reach and even that is way too far. About this line "why SHOULD we bow to reality if we have the power to change it?". I don't think that Nova has the power to change it even if she had the stone. I mean she wants to create a world of peace and without suffering where everyone is happy: a perfect world. However humanity is too deeply flawed for that too happen: we have sadists and warmongerers. Even if you removed those people from the equation you still would have flawed people: what if someone wants to be a hero? That is noble right?. A hero requires villain/threat, a threat requires victims, victims requires unhappiness. So deep down they desire unhappiness of others to supply their own fantasy. Even if we give each person their own reality, the people required to fuel desires of the original people, are suffering as well. Are those people not real? After all you created a new reality with real people. So their desires should matter. So basically you're back to square one.
  7. Quick claw is axed so you'l have to do some episode hopping.
  8. Rain volcarona was a thing? Well, you learn something new everyday. Remember Shelly is at low lvl in the game with low availability of pkmn and moves so her strategies are at this point outdated at this point in the game. Hardcore Shelly is no exception especially since the player can set up his weather without shooting himself in the foot now. Nature power adds leavanny to the list that's it. So you have Crustle,Leavany and Parasect that can grow the field outside rain dance. So he is still shooting hismelf in the foot at this lvl if he takes those.
  9. So did I, untill I tried a ability capsule. What makes the matter worse (to me) is that I ran protect/iron defense/baton pass on it which made the speed boost a matter of life and death. it was one of the strategies I prepared for in my mono-poison run against Aderyn which had to be shelfed due this bug. Now it has agility instead of iron defense.
  10. And Heather is so much better? Speaking of authority figures let's talk gym leaders: Julia, Corey, Terra, Shelly, ... .
  11. It's a little joke on the fact that I reported this bug several times now. Scolipede doesn't have speed boost in this game which makes it nigh useless.
  12. Do I miss that explination if I don't replay the game?
  13. Problem is Bennett is alqo a Team Meteor sypythizer. He is El's assistant and is at least an accomplice. So if El loses it, so does Bennett unless we get some "he's just confused/tricked " explanation. Of course (in game) Ame couldn't also care less what kind of people for the elite 4 as long as they are strong. Or maybe there are reserve elite 4 members?
  14. I don't think you will feel Shade: you can't move tongue forward, but you don't feel/taste a thing then your tongue will go cold and you feel like you lost something important. I also wonder how many of each shard and heart scale it takes to create a 'rare candy'?
  15. one day ..., scolipede, one day. The intro was very good with one major problem: the pokeball disrupter. Now everytime I'm going to see/beat the black foxes, I'm going to think: "WHY DID THESE IDIOTS NOT BRING THEIR DAMN DISRUPTER WITH THEM?!!!". So yeah I think you created a serious problem for yourself in the intro by giving the black foxes that pokeball disrupter. Especially considering resources don't seem to be a problem to them. Also plot wise you changed a lot by introducing the voice so early, I'm on the fence with this one. Personally I liked the smaller start to then escalate tremendously into the mess we are now. On the other hand I feel that the voice in the beginning gives a feel of foreboding that can set a nice undertone to the story. Also the reputation option seems to be more in line with AVA's behavior throughout the game, so that's a plus.
  16. Considering I'm at a good point to place my review (I just beat Fern at route 1) and exams are coming up for me. It is time for a (part way) review. I use the follower version of the game, so please forgive if I made any mistake due to the modifications. On to the review: My first impression was that I got trolled due to the Mega-Rayquaza. I had to actually double check to see if I really go the right files. Not a good start I will admit. Afterwards I was pleasantly surprised. I've seen difficulty through level increase ,a huge amount of legendaries and/or illegal moves but to my surprise this game hasn't had any of that. Instead i got better pkmn choice ,better move choice and interesting AI. It makes the game feel a lot more refined ,interesting and challenging. I had to switch out team members a lot faster which makes me feel the difficulty. I'm also happy that the creator(s) is willing to make changes outside the battles to make them fit in better. For instance Cain's Dewott evolution while a bit confusing, was well done and felt like it would fit perfectly within the game. The training items were really helpfull to tune down the grind of the game allowing me more to focus on team composition. Now we are done with the good stuf, let's move on to the bad stuff: While the Ai certainly got improved it also seems to do some very weird stuff. I got two case were it was so prominent that I couldn't ignore it. The first was in my fight against Corey. Corey switched out his Qwilfish/Swalot after a while against my dustox that behavior would be fine if it weren't for the fact that they swapped back to either Qwilfish or Swalot. once the qwilfish was defeated though the Ai seemed to function again. The second was against my fight against Shelly for some reason Shelly decided it was a good idea to constantly aqua jet a camerupt while there was a storm drain gastrodon on the field. The second major problem was Shelly's rain. I felt it was seriously overpowered and in fact limiting. There wasn't enough counterplay against it in my opinion. The last gripe was Solaris. he actually felt a lot weaker compared to the main game. I mean yes, you can ' cheese' the main game Solaris but if you didn't you were in for a hell of a challenge. When I was playing through the game I was wondering how hardcore would make this more challenging. So to prepare for it I had more 'cheesy plays' with me. Turns out I didn't need it because 2 of my mons (which weren't cheese: a chesnaught and a zebstrika) dealt with him. Given I had rain advantage but if Solaris can't handle a little bit of rain then he was a lot weaker. The worst part is that the rain wasn't even a huge advantage to my 2 pkmns either. It made Solaris a major dissapointment in my opinion and kinda did him a lot of disservice compared to the main game.
  17. That's the thing I think it would make him way to easy by E4 standards if he were to use that field. He cannot set up the field properly. What I described were literally all the bug types that could use rototiller or growth, so swapping out pkmn that can get better advantage won't work because he can't get setup on the field without shooting himself in the foot. That kind of disadvantage will result in him being eaten alive by any player. That's not even speaking from the disadvantage from volcarona + rain.
  18. Yeah, I suggested that strategy as well. Full offense on Laura is a good plan but Laura can open with cherrim increasing her field automatically to stage 2. She then can rain dance to gain another field stage getting her to 3 easily. I think her fight is going to be a double making it harder to shut her down.
  19. The description says it starts at stage 1.
  20. How is Bennett going to use the field properly? I still am asking this question till today. I know he can use the field once setup but how will he set it up? I know he can get a rain dance up but then what? Growth with a parasect, illumise or plant wormadan? Or Rototiller Crustle? These pokemon are way to weak to be any use at that level.
