  1. Thank you all for your responses and yes Chubb It is desolation. I eventually decided to train up the lotad but wouldn't use the traded budew, just so that my budew would get some friendship. Turns out that I did need it to defeat Connor.
  2. Well, graphics are important and at the same not. As long as they don't are out of place or downright cringeworthy I'm fine with it. If they are however it hurts the game a lot. So I just have a minimum if they reach it OK otherwhise very bad.
  3. I would say somthing bulky like an umbreon or sylveon.
  4. I'm doing a mono-type run (not for reborn though) and I stumble in a situation where I don't know what to do. I'm doing a mono-poison run and now it seems I can trade a lombre for a budew, however I can only find lotad. So am I allowed to train it or do I have to wait until I can catch a lombre? Also does that mean I have to switch immediately to a poison type at the start of a battle if I'm allowed to train it?
  5. Yeah, now that I replay the episode (I'm doing a mono poison run) I kinda feel that the boat is kinda forgotten. We know they want the trainers on it but that's it. However I hope you don't add too much. I kinda like that it starts off simple and then slowly ramps up.
  6. Well I did test the feature for a few minutes and I must say I like it. The transition to Rejuvination v7 and this form is smooth, I can switch back and forth without much problems. However I did get some clipping/strange behavior when using this. It is mostly centered around moving sideways.
  7. They're so beautifull, I really love the one Blake being thrown over the edge. it does the moment justice.
  8. This is mine, Florinia is a bit on the weaker side but I have good hopes for when I find that shiny stone in one of the future episodes:
  9. First higher lvl's and legendary pkmn are not the way to go, Pkmn Rejuvination intense mode tried it and I found it more frustating then anything. In fact they went even a step further and gave costum OP moves. On top of that they alligned the battle settings so ridgedly that it detracted the options to point you're almost forced to run certain mon/moves. My favorite example would be against Amber, the fire gym leader, she was fights in a volcano with sun up, double fight to boot. Basically her thyplosion just OHKO's almost everything with eruption. My counter: Ditto, I copied her thyplosion and swept her. I won the fight with 3 pkmn: a ditto, a houndoom and an escavalier. I didn't even see the sets of half her team, since I just outsped and OHKO's it. The moltress didn't even stood a chance. It wasn't satisfying but I won. Same with all the overleveled pkmn. It was basically after I reached the end of episode when I finally felt the moment to just EV train my team that the difficulty became acceptable. Not a nice experience. Second I think nuzlockes and mono types restrict the player too much to make it any fun. I really want to do a monotype but I can't find a type that would satisfy me. It's just to restraining to me. So how would I do it: First I will embrace randomness and accept it as a variable on which the player can play with it. My rejuvination team and my offensive reborn team both have a special water pkmn: vaporeon and greninja. Both have access to surf and hydro pump, yet my vaporeon has surf and my greninja has hydro pump. Why does this matter vaporeon doesn't need the sxtra damge while greninja really does. So I traded reliability for damage but eventually I will get the misses and I will have to work around it. Of course I have to dal with the downsids as well. The biggest problem is that it is too binary. So how do I do it. Remove easy saving, this way you can't just soft reset for every fight to manipulate the rng. Which means that over the long run the player will get his expected pay off. Secondly I will lock out moves, items and mons as well but for other purposes (progression mostly). How I want to deal with symmetry is team locking and varied situations. I would lock teams for a few matches and in those matches have a variety of foes: doubles, singles, different fields, different weather, ... . This means that I force my player to be prepared for all these situations, yes he can take the same tools as one of your bosses but he will get the wrong tools in the other fights. So I break the symmetry by breaking the symmetry of goals of the player and the npc, rather then breaking the symmetry between the teams. So basically I want a gauntlet of stong trainers where you can't save in between and the trainers have to be vary different. The last is breeding and training and to be honest I think that we have to restrict the options more while allowing the player to choose more easily. For instance a badge allows a player to increase the maximum IV value of his team by 2 which he then can improve by buying a IV protein. Same with EV's: for instance the first badge allows 20 EV's to be located each mon. Combine this with early access power items and friendship berries and you're set.
  10. I think it would be cool if we found a wild klefki that normally wouldn't battle us unless you get enough keys (let's say 15).
  11. Promotion is where a pawn can be transformed in any other piece if it reached the end of the bord.
  12. Well, I can think of several reasons. First pkmn reborn is much longer then any pkmn game so you are at that point in terms of hours. Secondly we are far beyond any pkmn game lvl wise: lvling these pkmn to that point is going to be a pain. Next, Reborn is much more difficult then a normal pkmn gam so thinking about your team is going to be much more important, randomly slotting your pseudo legendary isn't going to work. So you have to prepare a slot but what can fill the void? Pseudo-legendaries are quite unique themselves. Next since the game has a higher skill-floor, it closes the gap between pseudo lengendaries and normal pkmn since these pseudo legendaries have hard-htting moves and good stats which is much more benificial in a low skill floor environment. Finnally because the game is more difficult there is a need to improve: if you're owning the opponent then you might think you're doing very well and don't need to improve. If you're losing or having very lucky/close wins you're going to reevaluate your team, moves, items and such may matter but having strong pkmn is important as well.
  13. MAJOR SPOILER HERE!! So do open at your own discretion.
  14. We do now have one in blackview city. Edit: seems ICSW was ahead of me.
  15. First thank you for the new episode.Secondly, I want to report a bug which I consider game breaking.
  16. First, I think you got the wrong friend in mind I meant Ava. She basically flips when she hears from Nova that you knew her, while you could argue that Shiv gave the finishing blow even than to Ava. Shiv is a stranger and the same principle applies, trusting a stranger over a friend. Also I stated that I didn't mind the choice, in fact I loved that I had to make it. I just don't like how it is handled afterwards.
  17. I would say protect, thunderbolt and ice beam. Thunderbolt and ice beam are the ice and thunder equivalent to flamethrower which is already released. We can't delay too much either because blizzard and thunder have to be released as well and I want to maintain some tm progression in the game. I would like to see protect to be released as well, because it is a versatile move that can be used by a lot of pkmn without being overpowered or being very common. Instead it can fill a lot niches very nicely. Snarl would also be nice to be released as well. By the way is this the right subforum for this kind of topic?
  18. So, I just finished this game till the last episode and apparantly giving a rock to the person who is not a guy who scares his own brother (and later you know he killed him) ,has strange magical powers and condoned mass hypnosis, is the equivalent to fully supporting the insane and naive dream of girl who wants peace and her completely dangerous team. And of course your friend trusts the word of the leader of the team she despises so much without letting her friend defend herself. Don't get me wrong I really like the choice between Shiv and Nova, it made think very carefully since ther was no definitive best choice and made me afterwards doubt if I made the right choice. Not a lot of choices made do that. However I dislike how such a seemingly heavy choice is then treated so binary by the game. I think it would be better if there was some follow up to this choice with some other choice to personalise your decision more, because right now I feel that the game well forced me into a choice I didn't want to make. I also think this has to be done for big choices (not the small ones like if you think Scarlett could beat Connor, but certainly of the stone magnitue). For the rest I really liked the game, I like the credit system and its scarceness, I like the guild(s), I like the characters, ... overall it was a good play. The only thig I don't like is how binary the choices feel or at let the big one. Also I had really annoying bug with my Floette, it's grassy terrain works like some kind of screen/safeguard/... move.
