For the zoroark, you might want to go for: extrasensory for extra coverage (the move comes with the zorua so no breeding), nasty plot for set up, taunt to shut down recovery/set up or u-turn to switch out unfavorable match ups (zoroark is very very frail). For the manectric, electric terrain might be a thing to consider since removing a field is usefull and thunder wave to disrupt the enemy or if you have a good hidden power take that. For your last pokemon try something gimmicky like a destiny bond/perish song, counter or even imposter pkmn you might never know when you need it . I would suggest mismagius but I'm a bit biased in that regard.

Fimbulvetr - An Ice Monotype Challenge - Season 2
FairFamily replied to Shinyrio's topic in Team Showcase
First nice run and second I don't think you need it, I mean you only have to wait until you beat shelly and you get 3 extra ice mons. So if you think you can't get past shelly with your team then yeah take the sneasel. Alternatively you can take the sneasel and only use it until you beat shelly and then shelve it until much later. -
Ty for the help, the water pkmn seems a good idea but I don't think I'm going for the gastrodon but rather vaporeon seems a little more interesting to me. It has less resistances and immunities but the stats seem better.

Pokemon Rejuvenation EV Training Guide (UPDATED TO V9, BUT NOT REALLY)
FairFamily replied to Milotic's topic in Rejuvenation
First thanks for the guide, it will be quite helpfull with my mon training and now a question why doesn't this guide not mention the friendship berries? I mean I consider them a vital part of ev training especially if you want to ev train a former shadow pkmn. -
About the spirittomb, I wouldn't call it available.Getting an Odd Keystone is quite a hassle without some serious luck or serious grinding. For the rotom, I haven't played the game with it (I did test rotom wash a little bit though) but I would consider it getting quite a low score, rotom in base form is outclassed as a offensive ghost pkmn by mismagius for instance or an offensive lightning pkmn by jolteon, the only advantage it has being both stab ghjost and lightning. And forget defense it for the base rotom. The other forms however are quite formidable but they are delivered very late (right after charlotte) and the volt switch or whill o' wisp tm's are still not available making them not that great. Now on to my review of mismagius Misdreavus-Mismagius

After finishing the last episode (intense mode), I find it appropriate to evaluate my team. In this case I think I need some help since I got carried hard by my ditto and I want to get rid of this one. So I think I'm in need for some help: The ones I want to keep in my team. Serperior: contrary -leaf storm -leech seed -hidden power rock -giga drain Medicham:pure power -thunder punch -ice punch -high jump kick -zen headbut Escavelier: shell armor -sword dance -megahorn -iron head -knock off The ones I am neutral about. Houndoom: flash fire -nasty plot -shadow ball -overheat -magma drift Haxorus -taunt -dragon dance -dragon claw -poison sweep The one I want gone. Ditto: imposter -transform I also like to run different mons between my games so if it is possible no delphox, whimsicot, gastrodon, umbreon, drapion, lopunny, greninja, tyrantrum, mismagius, arcanine, amoongus and gothithelle.

First are the field effects, the concept is very simple and the implementation is sublime. the fields aren't just passive bonuses but are a variable you can manipulate and not just with replacing the terrain with a move like electric field. The fields also aren't tailor made for one fight/trainer and give room to play around with. This can make pkmn who have no chance in a fight still room to shine. To top of it off reborn made the outside world react to the field changes in battle which came over as a complete suprise. No pkmn game really looked at the actions I took in battle and reacted to them outside of the battle. Secondly, I like the difficulty. This is a pkmn game I can actually lose fights in, which was kinda hard in the base game. On top of that most of it comes from good movesets for the field. A field you can use and manipulate. It isn't like where the difficulty is just a high lvl difference, new OP moves or many bonusses lined up so perfectly that it one shots every mon (even against your oppenent when you use the same strategy). This in combination with the exclusion of certain pkmn and moves make it so you can still mantain a challenge while having nice diversity. Of course with pkmn being a rock-paper-scizor like game you get some fights which are difficult for some and easy for others, which isn't necessairy a bad thing. Third I love the concept of event pkmn it is something I really like. It gives the pkmn in your team some back story and it also beats just running in the grass until the right pkmn is granted by rng. So I really enjoyed that there were event pkmn everywhere. In fact in my last run I took 3 pkmn in my team just because the events they took place in (and they are at least decent pkmn). Fourth is the replayability of the game. The story can split up in different paths depending on your actions, so you can replay the story at least twice. On top of that the relative difficulty makes it so that with a new team you can understand the difficulty of some fights and appreciate them a bit more. The fifth thing I like are the characters. They feel a lot more like people and not puppets with one defining trait. They each have their own little story with ups and (mostly) downs and I like that. Discovering this little story step by step makes me feel that I know these characters a lot better then some other game characters, even if I've seen those characters more then their reborn characters. This doesn't mean I like every character (I'm looking at you Fern) but I love it that I can not like them. The last thing I love in this game are the darker elements of these game. These darker elements really set the tone of the game very well and makes me question some things about life in general. Another good thing they did with it was that these dark elements where not only limited to your foes, but your allies as well making you really question your morals.

Just take your time, health should always come first.

I used names of characters from games and manga but now I use fancy names.

Judging from your post you're looking for the "slayer of trees"? Just catch a farfetch'd in the forest near spinel town and present it to them.

After Corey you always have the option to battle trainers in the grand hall/circus indefiantly.

It's a tough choice, apophyll beach or obsidia ward. Apophyl beach for the calm beaches and lack of people (at least in the northen parts) or obsidia ward since the department store is there and the candy shop to handle my insatiable sweet tooth.

Thanks for the reaction but you can evade that trainer by going up in the alley before the pokemon center to till the tracks, then all the way left then down.

Well, I'm starting a new game and for immersion reasons, I want an espur as soon as possible with as little fights/distance as possible as such the vendor is kinda off limits. I think there were pokesnax lying around on the ground and I was wondering if someone knew the location of these snax's. I would really appreciate it.

Well crustle/dweble learns stealth rock so that might be a good idea to catch. You can find it in route 2. It also has sturdy so it will survive at least 1 hit. Unfortunately she opens togekiss which means 60% to flinch so that might be a problem.

Your hair is now that of a Reborn character. But whose?
FairFamily replied to Spineblade's topic in Reborn City
Decibel's hair looks nice but would probably make me look old, sigmund's would not be bad either. -
Last time I checked articuno learns cheer cold + mind reader 2HKO. It also learns roost and has good defenses so I seriously doubt it will happen.

It sounds really nice.

Freezing Waters: a dual type challenge attempt.
FairFamily replied to Yanez's topic in Team Showcase
I like the idea to be honest but maybe you should add an extra clause that says you can only use each pokemon evolution line once, so that you can't catch a set of disposable pkmn to then just recatch them. With a pkmn evolution line I mean horsea-seadra-kingdra. So if your horsea would die, you can't use seedra or kingdra anymore. Slowpoke could be used twice but slowbro and slowking can each only be used once. Question: how do you define a sea creature? Is lileep one? -
Well, when I look at those corpses at the entrance of the water treatment, I can't help but feel there are some arms or legs missing. I can't help but wonder what happened to them. Maybe Titania knows.

In your opinion, what is the hardest battle in reborn (yet)
FairFamily replied to Nivircity's topic in Reborn City
In my first run: shelly, shade and solaris (solo garchomp) In my second run: Solaris (solo garchomp) and shade (only because I forgot substitute on my loppuny) . -
I want to add some reviews from my own experiences. Trubbish-Gabrador: Rank: D (doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a review) Availability: 0 badges Movepool: okay/niche Comments: As the name suggests Trubbish is trash especially when it has to compete with Gulpin, another zero badge poison type. However it does learn poison gas, toxic spikes and acid spray very early. So it makes for a good suicide set-up pkmn whcih is reinforced by aftermath. It's typing helps a lot against your rivals and the early gym leaders which makes it a bit easier. Also Pulse-Tangrowth can be easily set up on with acid spray. If you manage to keep it till lvl 3, learns stockpile and swallow gving it some more deffensive capabilities. It is hower hold back by it's stat distribution , lack of good physical moves and it's very late evolution time. Gulpin also outclasses it since it evolves earlier and has a better stat distribution. The only thing that makes it competitive with it is a slighty earlier attainment of moves and toxic spikes. Gulpin-Swallot: Rank: C- Availability: 0 badges Movepool: okay Comments: Gulpin won't serve you too long but in the early stages of the game it can help you well. It's typing well help you well against your rivals, early gym leaders and can easily set-up for allies on Pulse-Tangrowth. It evolves at decent level and swalot has some decent decent stats at that time. It also learns stockpile and swallow giving it some good chances at stalling. However asthe game progresses ,its typing loses value and it's lack of recovery + rather low defensive stats will lower it's usefullness. Buneary-Lopunny: Rank: C Availability: 1 badge Movepool: fantastic Comments: Buneary and Loppuny are not great in the stat departement and certainly not in the ability departement but what makes up for it is it's movepool. It's lvl up movepool has some nice moves for an attacker : high stab damage with return, prority with quick attack and good coverage with the powerfull (high) jump kick. It does however gets walled by ghost. When you start adding the breeding moves it sets expand. First you can add fake out to the attacker. Or you can run an endure, flail set. On top of that it has some good moves with healing wish, magic coat and mirror coat. Shellos-Gastrodon: Rank: B (-) Availability: 6 badges Movepool: okay Comments: Shellos/Gastrodon are natural tanks: high health, decent special defense ,acceptable defense, little weaknesses and a reliable recovery skill. It can slo learn stockpile/curse to make it even more defensive. Also the tm infestation is available a bit later giving it some reliable damage. It's offensive move-set is a bit pitifull: best stab are surf/muddy watter and mud bomb for it's special attack or bulldoze and waterfall for a physical attacker. A big problem though is it's grass weakness which hits 4 times. It faces competetion with unaware Quagsire. Quagsire has less natural bulk but has unaware. However gastrodon can learn clear smog, watch out for steel set-up though.

Why shell smash? Dragon dance is much more dangerous considering the dragon's den. Shell Smash does lower the stats while the boosted dragon dance doesn't. It is not impossible just likely, if he has shell smash it would be on a special attacker like magcargo or on a shuckle . Trick room is defintely a possibility but isn't that Ramados' thing?
