  1. The only thing I watch on TV is whether the old-as-I phototube finally gives up the ghost. Preference to video games over shows.
  2. All lines are quite directly copied from the Pokemon Location Guide: www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16407 (CRTL + F for "trade")
  3. You only need to have cleared Serra's gym (so any time after that). I do not know about weather requirements. You can change your computer's clock to whatever day the game says has the weather you want, or advance it a week or so, and head to Opal Ward to load the next weather system. I think there were reports of this causing issues (with the weather never changing or never changing patterns), though. Sadly do not remember the specifics, and never cared to experiment. Don't worry about shifting your date a bit, as long as you set it back before going to Opal Ward. Had to set it back a few hours for wind once.
  4. Yeah, Growth + Drain is just... wrong. Sun grass team, or no? Charlotte pls be nice Better ask zEl for a Pulse Tangrowth, when you get the chance, too. Volcarona tears apart 10-13 badges...
  5. Flying or Dark would be different. Flying's common weaknesses would make the end difficult, but you have access to all 18 types, due to it being... well, Flying. What about mono-pure? Only using Pokemon that are pure of whatever type, that is. I think that'd be an interesting one for Flying Water. Also, if you don't mind me asking, one Fire mono to another, how did yours go after Agate?
  6. Leaning toward the third due to Defiant Milotic. One good swap prediction (to Lando-T, or if you lead with it) on their part, and... well, Clefable can withstand it (which is more than I can say for everything else), but it can't defeat it. Keldeo + parahax is the only consistent way of taking it out, should it get a defiant boost out. Aside from that, removing some weakness to Water-Types (33% from 50%) helps in the long run, since Clefable already has to deal with a majority of special sweepers as-is. ZardY does weaken opposing Water-Types, but the main Pokemon to want that weakening either will be in the field longer than the sun (Clefable), have their attacks weakened (Keldeo), get hit with a coverage attack (rip Lando-T), or destroy it with their own weather ability (Granted, rock-type Sdef boost negates that issue). The second team looks good as well, but, as you said, two AV users is... a bit inefficient. Some days it feels like Special is becoming a more common threat than Physical, though, so not terribly inefficient. If you want to take a risk with a Rash nature, Weather Ball on Raikou works as a nice coverage attack, what with sand and sun on the team.
  7. Mew handles the two bolded threats quite handily (assuming Azumarill does not have Knock Off, or ZardX Crunch). Only glaring issue is that Mew will probably fall on the slower side with ZardX. By the time Mew falls, the threat is weak enough to be dealt with by another source.
  8. Like, say, the Ranger Union? Then again, they don't exactly have the numbers to deal with a large-scale criminal organization. Maybe the nebulous governing bodies in Pokemon just find it easier to have random 10-year-olds go take over most of the law enforcement field; definitely cheaper.
  9. Are gym leaders insane? Yes, yes they are. How else could a person stand to stay in one building, usually in a specific location therein, for their entire life. willingly? ...Let's leave Brandon out of that, though. He's a cheater in the anime. Or Titania, for that matter. "...graduated with honors from Onyx Trainer School, along with three others who have also become Certified Reborn League Gym Leaders... looks like everything is in order! Just two quick questions before we certify your gym. You have several written offenses involving aggression, most with presumed lethal intent... now, that wouldn't be much of an issue, due to how this job works, but there's the matter of your proposed gym being located in the middle of a desert. There are... concerns that your chosen location may be connected to your bouts of aggression. As neither myself nor Ame can vouch for your control, and you do have multiple recorded outbursts, your application is denied until further notice." That looks a bit realistic. And now we know how Shade got hired, too! Nope. Not since Malva was a part of Team Flare.
  10. Normal: Mightyena, because Moxie + SuckerPunch. Can't forget that after it 1v4 revenged Blake. It'll be usable, at the least. Vanilluxe, because Sheer Cold Good enough Satk and Spd, with enough coverage to help all around. Luxray, because, if everything goes south, I still have Electric Terrain. The fact it deals a bit of damage is a nice bonus. NOT FREAKING SLURPUFF Other three slots are debatable. Fire Mono: As of Ciel, Volcarona is 5 for 5 on solo sweeping leaders. Definitely going for 15 for 15 with solo E4 champion. Sarcasm aside, Volcarona is on the team. Houndoom, for Inferno and SuckerPunch support. Arcanine, for being the early-availability Volcarona. Flareon, for sheer power. No clue what else is staying, though.
  11. ...I'm forced to think of how Cal/Charlotte will pan out, from this. Then again, we all know Chinchou HC Julia is tailor-made to be cruel, if you aren't (or can't be) prepared.
  12. (Searched for "Cancel", didn't find, so...) Not to turn from guilds, but... there's a gamebreaking glitch (In a bad way) with the PC when you select Move Pokemon. If you are holding a Pokemon, and you press Z/Enter, scroll down to (and select) Cancel, you will exit the PC... and the Pokemon you were holding is destroyed. I'm guessing this is just Cancel having the same command as Close. Good thing I'm an awful person and couldn't care less about what was destroyed. RIP nearly 0-IV Poochyena
  13. 'Allo Katelyn! Welcome to Reborn; hope the time you spend here is some you like, mmm?
  14. Would this be more suited to On the Hunt? You can get one ability capsule in Peridot Ward at the beginning of the game. Peridot Ward Hidden in a barrel outside the Mosswater Factory in Peridot (Mosswater Factory is the factory just north of the train station.) EDIT: ...Well, this feels familiar, at least.
  15. All three of the guilds sound interesting enough that I don't care which wins; I'd rather it be a surprise for myself. Diggersbytho
  16. A couple of things to report that I did not see here (unless I skipped it over ): You can walk onto the pokemart counter in the big... lab area..? and talk to the attendant from the counter. (Great Hall of Regal) Every locked door, bar none, allows you to walk on it, then tells you the door is, in fact, locked, rather than blocking you from walking on it. No fade out/in plays when people leave your presence via plot warping. Not an issue, but you might want to add it in later, and I think it'll be easier when there are fewer events. The custom battle sprites (Exertion, rival, etc) are opplsnerf. In all seriousness, what are the chances of a homage to those? (i.e. your hall of fame picture) EDIT: Savefile location is PokemonEssentials, instead of PokemonRegal. I'll just... blindly, naively assume it's just a simple renaming issue or something. And now, the obligatory sarcasm line that has been mentioned one way or another. The player character is too awesome for this game. Not only do we look like Picasso drew us and Michelangelo sculpted us... you see, as long as you stand still or walk, you project an entirely palpable telekinetic barrier that obliterates and reconstructs anything you walk over, all without producing sound or causing fatalities. I know we get superpowered animals, but... psychic powers are just way cooler imo.
  17. Brock and May must be, as well, since Brock throws Forretress (125,8kg), and May has Beautifly (28.4kg) on her head frequently. ...So, has it occurred to anyone that, in the anie depiction, some Pokemon (such as Forretress) should be immobile, due to the lack of limbs/protruding mass? Rolling, maybe...
  18. Firstly, as has been drilled in before by others: Unneeded Mega Evolutions. Yes, they are just GF trying to milk out the most money they can, but... if it's strong, and you make it stronger, then everyone is basically forced to use it. Yes, you can refuse to use it and do just fine, but the more they add, the harder it gets. Imagine the day when the only viable held items will be Choice, Sash, Evolite, and Mega Stones. Pika-clones. Firstly, for clarification, I'm talking about these Pokemon: I'm not saying they're bad, I'm saying they're bad. At first, there was some attempts to make them good, but now... generally lackluster stats (bar speed), passable movepool, and they look like another Pikaclone (especially Emolga and Dedenne). Suddenly, Mega Dedenne. Blaziken: Let's put it this way: Good competitively, bland usage. Lackluster in Reborn (and doubles/triples) due to not being able to play a team game. Then you give it a mega stone... and nothing changes. I like it, but... I also don't. Lucario: I like Lucario. I do not like that it gets an extreme focus compared to other Pokemon in similar positions (i.e. Zorua). It greatly displeased SSBM enthusiests by replacing Mewtwo, which, though I did not care for the SSB franchise as much... replace "a legendary Pokemon of near godlike power" with "this thing you can hatch oh btw everyone has one". It's basically an "auxiliary" Pikachu at this point. Eevee's line: I like it... but listen up, GF: Either pursue it, or drop it; the line needs to stop, either by being finished, or being halted. By the way, Eevee was the only Pokemon to gain an evolution in Gen 6. Oh, look, everything I wanted to say has already been said, so... Secondly:
  19. I'll just list mine since most/all already have the same arguments said by other people. Porygon2 Dragonair Quilava Togetic Luxio Servine Braixen Fletchinder
  20. Focus Band is sold in the Department store. Focus Sash is found on a rock in the "Beneath the great Stairs" area, partway down the leftmost path. It is also found in the Wasteland, in a cave on the southeast area. Better instructions/images can be found in http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16315
  21. I'm not Amethyst... or anyone who helps in Reborn's creation, but couldn't you just install reborn on both systems, and use a flash drive to transfer your file? EDIT: Ninja Tacos.
  22. ...And half the time I say anything around here, it's "AHHH!! Something is wrong!!!". Nice to know all of us are dear to you, in some regard! As long as it's that way, ten years will seem like nothing, hmm? Insertrandomissureheretomaintainconsistency
  23. Going off what Luna said, a Pokemon with Heat Wave or Discharge is always welcome, due to the reletive prevalence of Factory/ShortCircuit fields and Forest/Grassy fields. Additionally, best to make sure you have the ability to use the three water HMs (Surf, Dive, Waterfall) with your team—or at least surf—lest you get a ever-so-fun HM buddy clogging up a slot of your team. RIPfirebugghostmonos If you have money issues early on, get a ChocolateIC (pickup or sunny weather outside Great Hall), go to Obsidia Candy Shoppe, Get the Vanillite, and save. Buy as many VanillaIC as you can, and you'll prolly get a BlueMoonIC or two (or twelve, RIP hobo life). These sell for 10000 each, and are useful as both healing items and for speeding up evolution by happiness. You ever talk to that kid on the 2nd floor of the department store? Well, he's not smart, because you should NEVER FORGET X ITEMS. I cannot stress that enough, because GuardSpecisBork just one XAttack/XSpecial is enough to make your Pokemon strong enough to beat through that wall you've had trouble with. Really helps when you outspeed Minccinno and Crobat, too.
  24. It isn't surprising that Volcarona is useful. It is surprising that it solos... all leaders from Randomus on. (as of EP15) Mightyena and Houndoom are great SUCKERPUNCHERS at regaining momentum, despite movepool and stat... issues. Okay, let's be honest, I used them almost exclusively for Sucker Punch STAB. Vanilluxe, while a late addition, held its own in Charlotte's gym quite well. Oh, and Ciel. How else could I forget her? Luxray proved itself useful against Sigmund, and somehow held its own 1-on-1 with Swalot. Still not understanding that one, but... \_()_/ EDIT: Heatmor gets honorable mentions for soloing Solaris' Garchomp the first time. Growlithe, Numel, or Slugma could've done it too, but...
