  1. Another strong starter of choice besides Torchic includes Protean Froakie. The fact that all your attacks are boosted in power (because of STAB) as well as having the ability to change your type on the fly makes Froakie a good choice for a starter. Iirc Espurr is obtainable early in the game. Male Meowstic with Prankster ability makes for a solid support mon. You can use Reflect and Light Screen with increased priority (more likely to go first). Generally don't be afraid to try and give some mons a chance: the way Reborn is designed makes it nigh impossible - without trading, that is - to simply pick and choose your favorites and play through the whole game with them. If you're repeatedly losing a battle, you can of course ask for advice, but I suggest taking the time to also think why is it that you're repeatedly losing. Is your team (too) weak, or is your strategy lacking? More often than not small tweaks to either one or both is enough to secure the victory.
  2. If my memory serves, there's a dusk stone in the room that is unlocked if you solved the bidoof puzzle. Shiny stone is hidden near the top of Hardened Mountain - you need to get past Tristan first. As for the water stone, you can find one in route 2. In one of the houses there is a swimmer who is looking for Jared (the blue haired&bearded swimmer man). Once you find him, return to this regular swimmer man and he rewards you with a water stone. What part of the fight/ which mons are giving you the most trouble? If you have Flame Burst on your Charizard, you can set the field on fire. Be warned, though: the fire also hurts your own mons and gives a boost to some of Tristan's mons (Rain Dance can put out the fire). Also, if you have Intimidate on your Luxray, it can definitely be handy as Tristan has some heavy physical hitters. Could you post the moves and abilities your team has? It might be easier to give more specific advice that way.
  3. @Cuddly Lopunny You don't have Psychic Memory for Silvally, I assume? Strength gets boosted by the field, so try using that. Nature Power is also really good, as it turns into Acrobatics. You don't seem to have many mons in your team that can learn Nature Power, so you might have to check your PC. If you need to train new mons, you could give Rufflet/Braviary a shot, you can catch one in the route with the Crustle puzzles. Psychic or Ghost-types are few and far between this point in the game, so if you haven't caught any beforehand, you're out of luck in that regard.
  4. In Hyrule. Would you rather have 360 -vision or X-ray vision?
  5. Fire Emblem. Might pick up Soul Calibur 6 this month, haven't played SC since 2 so I'm pretty excited.
  6. I've done Normal monotype run of Reborn (and Psychic of Rejuvenation Intense mode as well as Ground monotype of Desolation). For me personally good availability right off the bat is important: I wanted to have options at any point in the game and not having to trade or generate mons. I guess it depends on your type how you tackle (some) Gym battles. In my Normal monotype run, Kiki was one of the hardest to beat, while Titania was not so tough. I have to admit that I got a bit lucky there since Himtonlee's High Jump Kick in most of my attempts OHKO'd my Slaking, but not in my winning attempt. Other than that, since I had such a good variety of mons, I kept switching them around and seeing what works. The ones I grew attached to or who pulled more than their weight I kept around. At the end of the day it comes down to how well you know your mons as well as the tricks the Gym Leaders have. With those in mind you can create a strategy for any battle. Heck, there's been folks who defeated Charlotte thanks to Wide Guard Parasect of all things. As for using items, it's up to your own preference, really.
  7. I dunno, (some of) the Terrain moves are pretty easy to abuse already. Besides, what makes the current mechanic great is that it emphasizes using Field effects to your advantage and overcoming the problems they might cause you. Setting up your own field means you can just brush those aspects aside. In terms of creativity you have a plethora of options depending on if you prefer to transform fields (Water Surface to Murkwater surface for example) or just use them for your benefit (bring mons that have their moves and/or abilities boosted by the field).
  8. No you don't. You can jump on the pieces of wood to get to the other side of the river and head left. Then you can take the south exit to get to the beach where Samurott is.
  9. That's Version 9 Patch as the topic implies. Re-download Version 10 and see if that does anything: you should be playing version 10.2
  10. I don't think DK fans are to blame here. However, if what you're saying about them is true, then there's a hint of irony to be found. As for counters, while they have different characteristics, they function somewhat similarly to one another with two exceptions: 1. Palutena's counter doesn't kill 2. Corrin's counter is literally spammable. So when someone says counter is the same move, I'd like to think they mean same in function and not so much in characteristics. There's no need for more of the same move, especially when the variations do not apply in gameplay/ how the move works.
  11. Are you stuck? If not, then you should be able to just complete the sidequest and not have to worry about anything. I thought this was fixed in the latest patch? Make sure you're playing the latest version.
  12. You're not alone with your opinion. While I personally don't find this field effect as irritating as you do, I know there are folks who share your point of view. With that said, maybe you could provide your take on how to improve Serra's field and why your suggestions would improve it. That way you have more constructive input (and be less likely to be greeted with "u suck"s or "git gud"s)
  13. Should be fixed now. Game.rxdata
  14. Perhaps it could work, but I for one find joy and moments of frustration in how unpredictable battles can get with random elements in play.
  15. @Shoki What are the moves on your Meowstic and Emolga? You can consider teaching Nature Power to as many of your mons as possible: it turns into field-boosted Discharge. If I were you, I'd use Graveler's Bulldoze on Gengar now that it has Cursed Body and not Levitate, then you can just use Mightyena for finishing it off and getting your Moxie started. If/when Mightyena is KO'd, you can use Blaziken against Dhelmise and Skuntank against Mimikyu.
  16. I'm honestly not sure how you ended up finding exe.file by following the advice I gave you, but either way that's not your save file either. Save files are Game.rxdata, like this: It should be in the location I told you about in my previous post.
  17. I don't think that's your save file either. While save files can get rather large, they're never over 800kb as far as I know. You can try looking for it from: My Computer > C:> Users > [your username] > Saved Games > Pokemon Rejuvenation.
  18. I think it only appears before the restoration. However, iirc there are wild Lilligants in the area where Titania's castle is.
  19. You could try uploading your save file to Google Drive.
