  1. Really cool idea for a ghost leader, I must say. And dash hired him because he's a sellsword And grats to Bagel.
  2. Bug is here guys! Updated the OP so make sure to check it out. It's really cute. Fire is due next, which I'm sure a lot of people are looking forward too since fire is a very popular type. EDIT: The same uploader has a vid on the making of the Megabanette doll, it's in JP but it's still fascinating to watch. This person is mad creative.
  3. Venus is killing, holy. She jumped 2 whole brackets. Poor Nick is like the Brock of the league. I guess everybody packing earthquake is probably hurting him.
  4. Looks incredible, good work there. You're doing some heavy work dash and crew, good job on sticking with this too.
  5. Bug is next so Venonat/moth will probably be in there. I think dark was actually my least favorite especially with the unnecessary team rocket addition towards the end(they use more poison types than anything else). Felt really out of place plus the imagery wasn't as interesting as the others. The poison song is a DOGARS dubstep remix. I didn't realize it at first but it's why Koffing and Roxie sing along at certain points.
  6. I love when pokemon gets creepy(they are pocket monsters after all), so psychic and ghost vids were right up my alley. Fighting is my favorite overall since I'm a big fan of fighting games and fighting is my favorite type, with psychic vid following and ghost right after. That megabanette part was so well done and needs to be made into a GIF.
  7. So this channel on Youtube is uploading some rather awesome flash vids for the 20th anniversary with each vid covering a different type. The cool thing is that each vid uses different artsyles for different pokemon as well as music fitting each type. It's very well done and should be checked out by any fan. Normal Fairy Fighting Poison Dark Ghost Psychic Bug Fire Water Part 1 and Part 2 Grass Flying Electric Ground Ice Rock Steel Normal pt2 Dragon The End
  8. Pachi is low? Why? Emolga is somewhat preferred but Pachi fills a similar role and can take hits better.
  9. Like that's just bonkers. what kind of city do you even live in for them to do that? I can understand if it was causing severe pest issues but it just seems incredibly petty and almost insulting considering that money is earned yet the city thinks freakin grass is worth a $1000 of that as fair punishment. Just sounds like a city/neighborhood filled with some incredibly anal people. I don't understand how your parent(s) even put up with it.
  10. There were trucks in Unova as well.On two routes actually.
  11. ^Kind of got lucky that will o wisp missed though. Unless you had a lum berry or something. Still I <3 Cloyster and he does work when need be.
  12. So Hardy, he's a guy who despite having quite a bit of time in the game so far seems to kind of get overshadowed by some of the others at least on this board, and I feel it's time to show our red haired rockin bro some love. So far, we know that he's *a higher ranked gym leader, *has a gym in Agate city *specializes in the rock type and has a Gigalith. *is Titania's little brother, *doesn't seem as close to Tania as say Charlotte + her sisters or even Cain/Aya, *attended the Onyx school alongside Fern at some point? Maybe I'm wrong on that detail, but they have history together and seem to have a rivalry. *Showed Aya the ropes on gym leading and reffed the PC's match against her *seems to care for Aya quite a bit *has cool hair Personality wise, Hardy seems to be a pretty cool guy, being arguably one of the nicest dudes in Reborn and having a pretty optimistic, "come on bro you can do this" attitude. Even when Aya was acting like a complete scrub during her gym debut match(in her defense losing to Fern does really suck) he kept trying to lift her spirits up. When travelling to Calcenon he was pretty optimistic despite getting nearly blown like 3 times That said Hardy is a bit simple minded and maybe as a sign of his immaturity tends to have trouble seeing the bigger picture and thinking ahead, which is mainly apparent in the Calcenon Meteor face off. We also see that his temper is pretty short in his dealings with Fern and frustration towards Sapphira which combined with his shortsightedness makes him pretty easy to manipulate. This weakness could very well be exploited by a savvy member of Meteor(Sirius perhaps?) who could use Hardy's impulsiveness against his allies, something I could definitely see happening next episode or later on. Now what interests me especially about Hardy is his battle. Rock users are usually the stage 1-2 boss of pokemon games but Hardy goes against all convention and is instead one of the upper echelon of gym leaders. Now rock is a type that's known to hit very hard and in Reborn especially checks some popular and powerful pokemon(though I feel like fire in general is about to feel a big loss in effectiveness as 3 upcoming gyms are strong against it), but the type itself suffers from glaring weaknesses that against common logic makes rock kind of easy to break, being sort of a high risk-high reward type. But the new dragon field which is heavily speculated to be used by Hardy would provide a much needed defensive boon to Hardy's type of choice, and with many speculating Tyranitar(mega?) being on his team due to sandstorm, could once again turn conventional approach on its head and turn this guy into a force to be reckoned with. I can imagine a number of his pokemon rocking sturdy as well, which could make him pretty annoying should he potion abuse. One more thing, and a pretty fascinating one is that Hardy actually used Solrock/Lunatone(either one or both, can't remember which) in an old Reborn league as his ace which I found incredibly weird but with trick room would put his slow rock types at a big advantage. Actually backtracking on Hardy, it does seem a little weird that dragonfield would be his because while beneficial, I was really expecting a Rock concert arena or something where the audience hypes him up or something as a field effect. Seems weird Agate would have a dragon's den-like area for a gym unless it's going to be totally METAL or something. What are you predicting his team will be like? I think he'll have Gigalith, Tyranitar, Lunatone(or solrock), Tyrantrum, and two others, one probably with sturdy. I feel like either Tyranitar or Aerodactyl will be his mega. As for the tm he gives, I'm guessing it'll be...huh actually I don't know. Earthquake? The good rock moves are already tutors so this one has me baffled somewhat...oh probably rock climb, meh. Also a cute little note, but Hardy's sprite is notable in that it aged. Like his original league sprite looked younger, but the one he has now aged him up a bit which I found cool. I know one of the users here has the older league pages, but it's a pretty cool thing to look at.
  13. That Titania thing was insightful. This also confirms that Ame is a ditto(hence her love of purpleand Crystal, as ditto's sprite was purple in Crystal!) and used Imposter during the league days to pose as gym leaders. and lol at the old lady. Must be like one of those stereotypical mean old ladies who make a fuss over anything to keep themselves happy. Though wait, the city seriously fined you guys over that? That's incredibly stupid.
  14. A druddigon as an ace? Major respect. Druddigon is massively underrated and I'll be the first to admit I initially did not give him the respect he deserved. Thought he was the worst designed 5th genner even but he grew on me because despite being pure dragon, NE, and a lesser dragon at that. He fills this strange niche among dragon types and while awkard looking at first glance stands out and feels unique in a way.
  15. Skies of Arcadia for sure. Exploration was incredible, the cast was lovable and well designed, the soundtrack was beautiful, well-fleshed out setting, an enjoyable story and while the combat was typical turn based stuff, it didn't take away from the game and overall remains one of my favorite all time games. It was also the 2nd RPG I really understood, like Shining in the Darkness I played when I was little but I didn't understand it much at all lol. Grandia 2 was really good too(still has the best regular battle theme in any RPG IMO) but aside from more voice overs and combat/encounter system SoA was better in every way.
  16. You know, she says two gyms are going to use the dragon field, but what if it's a gym we already have? Like Charlotte or Cal(if he counts)?
  17. Walrein is going to be doing serious work this battle. two surfs, than some ice spamming...assuming he can even last that long. And yeah, Zard X definitely seems like he'd be sapphira's mega of choice. I think it fits her.
  18. I remember poisoning the field in one playthrough. Does that affect the dialogue too?
  19. Hurrah!!!! Neo Lapis, I wonder what it sounds like? Lapis always sounded kind of tense and forlorn, like a quiet town where people keep to themselves and there's this atmosphere of mistrust and dark secrets within, which fits it perfectly. 7th Street is like all the grime and seediness exposed and in your face as you now see the city for what it really is. Neo Lapis direction is really going to be an interesting one because it was always a city of two faces more or less,,and I'm curious as to how this 3rd face will be. I think it'd be neat if the authorities have seized the orphanage and currently looking for Sigmund, which seems highly possible since IRL(supposedly) something like that actually happened.
  20. Mde how can you play with the sound off :[ The game has excellent sound direction...I'm guessing you just listen to music or something while playing? And thanks for answering guys. I do kind of like seeing what parts devs like about their own product.
  21. I actually like the Chess Puzzle a lot. Thing about shelly's gym is that the indicator for how the shelves moves is very odd. I know there's colors next to the switches but they hardly tell you anything. I only solve it via trial and error or memory, which doesn't make for a good puzzle IMO.
  22. Yeah the font kind of hurts sadly. But generally fire is really good ATM due to its field advantages and I'd put Cyndaquil at S-rank really since Typhlosion is a straight monster with eruption and flash fire makes one of the game's hardest fights much easier. Charizard is also quite good for beginners since dragon rage really makes the early game much more manageable.
  23. I'm actually curious as to what each staff member's favorite music track, pokemon, and gym leader in the game is, Oh and on Shade's gym, that gym theme is toooooo sick. It's so heavy and creepy. I think you said it was a reverse version of the regular gym theme with modifications or something? What were the details on that one's creation? What tools/instruments did you use on it?
  24. Thank you so much on shelly's gym. Every time I play I struggle with that puzzle. And good lord why can Serra hate you so badly? Is this why she walls up the game(literally) after losing sometimes?
  25. Remoraid's theme is being designed off a revolver, and Octillery is based off a turret, hence its signature move being octazooka. Notice Remoraid/Octillery learn a bunch of projectile and beam moves. Druddigon is weird yeah. At first I thought it was hideous, but it grew on me and its gen 6 model looks loads better than its official art and sprite. I think it's supposed to be like a gargoyle, but still it's design is pretty odd even for a dragon pokemon and I'm really interested in how they got there(and really every other pokemon).
