  1. Ya boy Guza is already shaping up to be an awesome villain. Team Skull is like if somebody put some Jet Set Radio in my pokemon and I love it. Their theme music is sick too.
  2. Isn't that before Plasma jacks the skull? I figure he was scoping the museum for Plasma's later robbery.
  3. I'm going to exclude starters this time. Vero: Scrafty, Dusknoir, Crobat, Aggron, Conkledurr, Noivern, Alice: Wigglytuff, Bellossom, Mismagius, Cinncinno, Swanna, Reuniclus Kuro: Alakazam, Mienshao, Gallade, Quagsire, Honchkrow, Breloom, Lucia: Emolga, Darmanitan, Slurpuff, Ambipom, Floatzel, Whimsicott, Ari: Nidoqueen, Luxray, Haxorus, Pangoro, Walrein, Scolipede Decibel: Liepard, Roserade, Rapidash, Milotic, Lilligant, Gothitelle I tried to avoid including other aces...originally I had rotom for Vero(its like the perfect urban ghost considering it possess household appliances) and Florges for Decibel but then I remembered those were aces of shade and adrienne respectively.
  4. N did challenge the E4, but what's more interesting is that he did so without challenging the gyms. Not only did he challenge the E4 and win, but he handed the champ his butt on a silver platter as well. N probably still wouldn't be considered champion due to technically never taking the league challenge, but at that point he had accomplished the task of beating the Leafue's strongest, which was the pC/cheren were trying to do as well. I assume by league you mean the E4/champ.
  5. Popplio doesn't strike me as a particularly masculine. Did not know about the kachina thing though, that's really cool.
  6. Quilava: how is going from a flaming mohawk and tail to a simple falming collar an improvement in any way? Typhlosion always came off as a step down design wise for me. Helioptile: it's an odd but unique looking lizard and I like how its "hat" works, plus its cute. Heliolisk just sucks all the fun personality from it and has the gall to still look under evolved while doing so. Dragonair: It's majestic and a nice mix of beauty + cute, but then Dragonite comes and just takes ahuge dump on the entire line, looking like a pokemon from a completely different line. I always hated this and at first I actually was under the impression it evolved into Lapras instead. Poliwhirl: I used to like Poliwrath more once upon a time, but then I got a poliwhirl toy and he was my favorite pokemon for a while even. Poliwrath is just a roid-raging poliwhirl and frankly that's lame. Politoed is cute but Poliwhirl tome is the most interesting one. Chespin: It's evos are my least favorite starter evos yet. Straight up clumsy and offputting designs which were poorly realized and executed. I just feel that GF struggled to design a good evo for chespin. Magby: Magby is the only member of this line who are rather notoriously known as some of the ugliest pokemon, though I argue that's part of their charm...well Idk, I still think magmar is an utter mess design wise but regardless Magby is the easiest on the eyes of the three. Mime Jr.: I never disliked Mr. Mime, and actually think he's a rather neat and creative pokemon who while dorky looking, fits well enough with his whimsical aesthetic. Now the guy is in dire need of an evolution, but his baby form, mime Jr, is probably one of the best babymon designs. It's ADORABLE and is easily the best baby design in gen 4.
  7. i'm a bit bummed about the leaders too. I was hoping leaders' role would be expanded one and given more depth, not less :/ Not to mention the game just seems like it might end up too short. Remember the guy who directed oRAS is directing this, so we may end up with yet another lacking game in the meat + challenge department. EASIEST POKEMON YET is something I do NOT want to see from this game ever.
  8. The site mentions Kiawe, one of the captains, who specializes in fire having a Marowak...Alola Marowak confirmed? I can see it using its flaming bone like a fire dancer.

    1. Lord Chespin

      Lord Chespin

Hey, if it means more Pseudo-Deltas, I'm all for it!

  9. At first I thought those were tears too, but it's just dramatic lightning, no? Yeah, shota was robbed.
  10. Oh it used bide? Didn't realize. Didn't slurpuff use dazzling gleam?
  11. I liked the sawyer fight but pikachu vs aegislash was okay actually. That was pretty cool, the air suspension thing was totally fine for anime physics + the fact pikachu really is quick enough to make it believable. salamence and noivern was just okay, they're both dragons so eh. Goodra vs slurpuff was straight up BS and the worst part of the fight. First of all, I know the show doesn't care about types but I never liked this as I feel it takes away from one of the series' defining mechanics, and this fight had it in spades. Goodra really should've lost and it felt like BS that it actually drew in what was basically a beam/blizzard spamfest. Idk I thought this was the moment in the fight where ash put on the plot armor and didn't look back. Sceptile wrecking pikachu was a highlight, as pika got one of the biggest beatdowns I've seen. The greninja fight was animated wonderfully. It was high kinetic and fun to watch, but yeah it is perhaps the most GLARING example of the anime completely disregarding the type relationship in favor of hero mongering. It's getting a bit annoying how Superninja is becoming an instant win button for ash who has to put in FAR less work than his opponents to win as shown by eating a leaf storm and then winning off water shruikens of all things, the sort of attack that Megatile should be laughing off. I almost want ash to win, but i feel like he needs to earn it and not cheese battles that he didn't earn.
  12. Spiky shield doesn't absorb health, and has a much smaller availability. SS is better at least in what it protects against but it kind of should be considering the distribution. Bemuse fairy PP: 10 status single target Priority + 3 The user engages in complete tomfoolery, bewildering the opponent and causing them to burst in laughter. This move cancels whatever action the opponent would've taken this turn. It runs on the same counter as protect/etc, so no you can't bemuse, then protect, then bemuse and repeat to force a stall loop. Also, the same target can't be affected by bemuse in subsequent turns, even if from a different pokemon. This is to prevent 2 on 1 bemuse loops. Learned by: Mime Jr/Mr. Mime, Whimsicott, Munchlax, mimikyu, psyduck, bonsly, igglybuff, cleffa, togepi, pichu, swirlix/slurpuff, azurill, budew, chingling, spinda,
  13. Hayley was such a respectable opponent and her queues were easily the longest out of bracket 1. But I voted Leo as he had a fun personality and cool pokemon(fighting type ftw). I do think some of the leaders should get into character more. I don't mind being talked trash to in battle if it gives the leader a little flavor.
  14. Give Life sounds amazing, although the name is kind of odd, I'd personally go with just Sacrifice, or Soul Sacrifice if you ant to be cute. Meme thing...please, please PLEASE leave that kind of thing out of the fangame. Too many fangames are plagued with meme crap. White Noise type: Ghost special acc: 100 BP: 90 pp:15 all enemy targets, bypasses substitute, blocked by soundproof the user emits a strange noise frequency that induces painful sensations in foes. . 20% chance of inflicting confusion. Learned by: Misdreavus/Mismagius, Spiritomb, Rotom, dusknoir, Lunaala, Meloetta, Giratina Phase type: ghost status/self acc:--- BP:--- pp: 10 the user takes on a spectral, intangible form, granting immunity from physical attacks this turn. In addition, if the enemy's physical attack makes direct contact, 1/8th of its health will be absorbed into the user. Like protect.endure/etc, it will have a higher degree of failure if used in succession. learned by: any ghost type except honedge line and spiritomb via TM, learned naturally by gastly/haunter/gengar, misdreavus/Mismagius, duskull/duskclops/dusknoir, Rotom, sableye, High Velocity type: normal BP: 95 physical/contact acc: 100 PP: 10 single target The user rushes the opponent with overwhelming speed. This attack uses the speed stat to determine damage. Learned by: Linoone, electrode, Ninjask, Pidgeot, Yanmega, Deoxys, sharpedo
  15. People overreacting to The Killing joke is alsmot sad. You have some swearing Bruce timm off forever now and calling him trash. smh how fickle fandom can be.

    1. Maelstrom

      Maelstrom

... have these people never read the comics? There shouldn't be any surprises...

  16. OMG this text lol. Dude shrink it down, it's so big, it's like you're SCREAMING. Ledian...hmm actually the idea of split evos is cool, but i'm not crazy about the bug/steel one too much. Bug/fairy I like as an evo idea, but I feel like Ledian's design sort of hints at the sentai-style heroes like Kamen Rider, and would sort of take it in that direction instead. I would make it bigger of course, and keep the general head shape(albeit a bit longer) but make the antennae sharper and more angled, with the spot becoming a star shape and the mouth having a more guard like style(think Kamen Rider's mouth). The 4 arms should remain, but the gloves would extend a bit and appear more like closed fist gauntlets, though not too bulky as to appear cluttered. The legs would grow a bit longer as well and the feet would extend as to resembles boots The outer wings would become sharper in shape and somewhat more aerodynamic, with the spot patterns resembling stars now as well. Ledian evo(i'll call it Ledihero for now) type: Bug/Flying ht: 5:02 wt: 96.5 llbs ability: Aerialate/Iron fist, Hidden ability: tinted lens HP: 75 Attk: 100 Def: 70 spcl attk: 110 spcl defense: 110 spd: 110 total: 575 new moves learned: signal beam, cosmic power, tri attack, extreme speed, tailwind, moonlight, stored power, hyper beam, New tms: hyper mean, charge beam, dazzling gleam, solarbeam, energy ball New tutors: hyper voice, sky attack, heat wave dex entry: The star patterns on its out wings absorb cosmic energy which it uses to amplify its physical abilities and power its attacks. It is said to leave a trail of glowing stardust as it zips across the sky. It has a strong sense of justice and will disobey commands from wicked trainers. The star on his forehead shines brilliantly when it's about to unleash an attack. I originally had magic guard as a hidden ability but that's kind of cheap.
  17. So you're going to sit here and tell me tyrogue added nothing to the game? Or that miltank and tauros shouldn't have a baby-mon that link the two? I feel they're good for fleshing out the progressive development for pokemon lines, even if some are a bit of a pain to raise. Something like Jynx shouldn't be popping out of an egg, for example. Igglybuf and cleffa were a bit unnecessaryI feel, as was Azurill. Chimecho needs the roserade treatment and should get an evo.
  18. Bewear is a great name, and I guess fluffy is good, though the added fire weakness is kind of lame admittedly. Basically a discount fur coat. bountisweet is our generic early grass-mon. It's cute enough but obvious that it's evo will determine its worth. I feel like grass types are better judged in their whole line as their visual progression plays a key part in their designs, probably moreso than any other type aside from bug. The loa mon is rather neat and is perfect for the region. But it definitely suffers the florges effect and that it's pure fairy as opposed to grass/fairy...i guess competitively pure fairy is better but it certainly feels like it should be part grass. At first I thought it evolved from bountisweet. Wimpod is hilarious. FINALLY another bug/water and I'll be interested in seeing what it evolves into. The horse is badass, and sounds like he has a cool ability, especially if his defense is actually good as opposed to most equine pokemon who rather unfittingly have low defense. I'm hoping his stats can put his ability to good use. And holy crap it's 8'2 and weighs 2000 pounds? Sounding good. I bet it's special defense will suck though, and lack of recovery will probably hurt it.
  19. Chris G takes Marvel. All hail Morrigan, Capcom's queen.

  20. Wait the one with the tiger mask litten evo and siren popplio?
  21. High end pixel art is more impressive than 3D models IMO. As someone who grew up during the 16 bit era and witnessed the mass shift from 2D to 3D firsthand, I've ALWAYS preferred animations and feel of quality spritework. BW's sprites could have easily went into greater detail and fluidity, but let's face it, it's much less time consuming and more efficient to work with 3D.I do miss and prefer sprites for pokemon, but I understand why they moved to 3D models. That said, they need to make a number of improvements on them, starting with the washed out colors. If you want to see masterful spritework, I would suggest looking at SNK's catalog, especially in the mid-late 90s. Metal Slug, King Of Fighters, and Last Blade had some gorgeous stuff. More impressive than any level in Street Fighter V/IV, or even 3 series for that matter. This was from 1999 mind you. Not that Capcom was any slouch either. Their sprite animations were top tier, and it's a shame Alex looks and moves better in 3rd Strike than he does in SFV. 1999 version of character is graphically more impressive than his 2016 incarnation in a game released 3 generations later on more powerful hardware. That right there should tell you just how much longevity incredible sprite work can have. What we can only hope for now is that in the future pokemon models are animated more dynamically and with more unique animations.
  22. I sat out last two weeks, so I'll participate this week.
  23. ^I actually have to call your view into question there, never once did that comparison ever come to me lol. @Bewilder: What if it's an umbrella bird?
  24. Dragon's Dogma to this day still has the best combat system in any ARPG. It's actually ruined Witcher 3 and DA: Inquisition for me personaly due to it.

    1. Felicity

      Felicity

Plsying it now, feels fun now that I unlocked the Magick archer with the nice homing bow but it feels a little clunky when trying to dodge. Too much Souls perhaps but I digress. Still good.

Personally I love playing as an Assassin. So much gouging on drakes just to get their tears tho...
