  3. I don't really know how I feel about this..doesn't a Roselia have....Poison Point...I can't really tuck you behind my ear if that's the case.
  4. Sec brings up an interesting possibility, but I'll bring up the quote that seems to have wrought this speculation. It's from the news-post entitled "A Fistful of Field Effects" Episode 14 won't be coming for another couple of weeks, but it -is- coming... and with it, another LEADER's betrayal to Team Meteor. In order for the betrayer to be Ame, the term Leader would have to be proven to not be associated with Gym Leader... -or- Ame would have to be revealed as a Gym Leader. This would make Ame a possibility in either case, but let's look at what we -do- know about her and try to discern what a motive would be. Ame's roles in the game are as follows: She serves as the game's "Pokemon Professor" figure - introducing us to the game and provides us with starter pokemon, pokedex. She's the coordinator of the Reborn League, as evidenced by having ties to multiple gym leaders and being in charge of finding "replacement" leaders. She's the head of the population restoration effort in the region. This last point leads me to question Ame's reasoning behind potentially being a Meteor. If she's the one leading the charge in bringing Pokemon into the region, why would she be a part of an organization that is actively working to ensure that -doesn't- happen? Team Meteor's known goals at this point are to force people to move away from Reborn and destroy it so that it is no longer inhabitable. Also, why go through the efforts of upkeeping a "League" when you are trying to force trainers OUT of the region? You could argue that this is to avoid suspicion, but that simply seems like too much work just for some cover. Ame could also just be betraying the player momentarilly, but what could she stand to gain from helping the Meteors at all? We don't have anything to make that assumption. The final possibility is that Ame doesn't match up as a counter to Meteor and is thus pressed into a corner (like what many people are thinking with Hardy.) Yet, we don't have anything to suspect this yet either.
  5. Happy Birthday, Azery! You know, these kinds of threads wouldn't have to be made by one's self if Birthday tab was still a thing...but I don't mind if someone makes in the Trainer's Journal (Whatever is going on in peoples lives) about their -own- birthday. I just chose not to a couple of weeks ago.
  6. Druddigon. (You knew this answer already, Jericho.) - Oh? You wanna switch into a Fairy type? If it's not Mawile or Klefki, you're gonna have a bad time. And if it is? You're still gonna have a bad time. What's your favorite winter beverage?
  7. Pokemon I would expect to see xym have are: Klefki - I'm not sure how aggressive Adrienn will play with it yet, but I would be be pleasantly shocked if it doesn't carry Swagger and Foul Play. I most certainly do expect xym to use it as a lead, so a Fire type lead is a probable counter. Azumarill Gardevoir Sylveon -or- Florges Togekiss Whimsicott -or- Clefable -or- Mawile By this point in your journey, I would expect for the field effect to be the most concerning part of the battle, as opposed to xyr's team. We're no longer starved for options anymore.
  8. Yeah, that's my general idea. Usually, it frees "your" name up, so long as you don't mind any additional context.
  9. Yeah, it's probably just me. :c The Name issue is fixed if you want to put RBRN in front of your original name..or Reborn or something... At least, that's my duct tape solution anyway. I don't care for Showdown's glitz and glamour. I kinda feel like it's too much on the screen at once, myself. (I felt like putting the SD thread back in the spotlight was important, so...-bump. Oh, hey, 500 posts.)
  10. Oh. I missed this one. Hi, Domashii. I'm Minerva. You can call me Hilda if you want (That's my name)....Welcome! I'm not a staff member but I...uh...know stuff. If you want to ask.
  11. I know they're predictable, but they still make me jump! :C
  12. I like the thinking cap on this one. There's nothing that suggests yet that Noel's losing connection to Nomos is -not- related to growing up. Noel is a prodigy (a young person endowed with exceptional qualities, typically those regarding intelligence.) which means everything that comes with learning will come to Noel faster than most children, which would explain why Noel is slowly beginning to realize that Nomos is just a doll and doesn't have sentience, yet is doing so at a faster rate than Anna. Until loss of youth and experience is discarded from that reasoning, I don't have a reason to suspect Noel. Especially with the Doctor on board with the Meteors.
  13. I can assure that the Pokemon you purchase in the Grand Hall is -not- Ducklett anymore. Don't anticipate getting this pokemon [from the Grand Hall] in the current episode either.
  14. Right, now that the growing pains of finding a Showdown I.D. are gone, let me give you my -real- input. Showdown or PO? ...I'm...I'm gonna go ahead and say I would kinda like to see Showdown happen. Especially if Reborn being able to set it's own tiers is still going to be a thing. (Not that I don't like Smogon's tiers, It's just kinda neat from an individualist standpoint.) SD is already a widely used and very functional simulator, and while it may be a move for the server, many of the users will be familiar with the medium before-hand. What would you like to see carried over? Everything -I- would like to see has already been addressed. Concerns? The only thing that I -had- an issue with was the way you couldn't use a name that had been taken by a previous Showdown user. While "clan tags" don't seem to be a thing, there is always resorting to removing vowels from the word "Reborn" to get RBRN, which would normally be a clan tag. (Yes, this means that if you see 'RBRN Minerva' on the server, it's -me-) The other concern I have is that -at the very least for myself- the browser edition of the program crashes and lags into solid nothingness a WHOLE lot more than it ever has in PO, regardless of being in the "Lobby" or not. If the same problems arise for more users, that's...a legitimate concern. I have a feeling it's just me though.
  15. There are quite a few pokemon that make this list for me. Duskull - This pokemon's short stint in my party enabled me to walk past Kiki. Prior to addition, I couldn't beat her if I wanted to. Kricketune - This pokemon is -VERY- good. Technician is an ability that will make any move below the bar nice and strong, but Fury Cutter has the capability to put anyone Kricketune outspeeds, regardless of types and resistances, away if it shows up late enough in the battle. Hariyama - This thing.....this thing is reliable. Fake Out? Check. Thick Fat? Check. A pokemon I wish I grinded up a little before taking on Serra. If it wasn't for liking Gallade more, I might have done it to. This thing scoffs at Florinia's Cradilly.
  16. I think there are two possibilities there, and both of them hinge of the fate Mega-Salamence has with the Smogon tiers. - If MegaMence gets banned to Ubers...Dragonite might remain an OU pokemon. - If it doesn't...It -could- very well be possible Dragonite falls to Underused or Borderline.
  17. I don't really have a reason to -hate- Showdown, but it kinda feels too...."newfangled" and "cluttered" for lil' old me. If there's any feasible way I could be "Minerva" on the server, I would very much appreciate it a whole lot more.
  18. Basically, if anyone is struggling with Cradilly, Hariyama is pretty much the ultimate gift. Fake Out + Vital Throw pretty much ends that things life (or at least forces Florinia to Potion spam) The rest of Flobot's squad is highly susceptible to Fire and Bug type pokemon, of which there is a sizeable variety early game.
  19. Kyra, Snapple. You guys are pretty people.
  20. Don't look at me man, after seeing so many responses about looking at his thread, I know that it's valuable, but the title probably attributes enough to warding off people looking for experience as much as ignorance does...probably. I just had the thought that maybe having a thead that has -grinding- somewhere in the title would make it a little more clear, and I also feel like it won't look too much like -his- guide in structure.
  21. Hi guys, Every once in a while I will come across a thread that has something to do with looking for places to grind for experience. In said threads I -also- will see "SEE NOTUS' EV TRAINING GUIDE" ...so, there's my advertisement for you, Notus. Unfortunately though, Effort Values and Experience are not exactly one and the same ,and therefore I wanted to start this community effort thread to put together a guide that will help people find places to gain experience. Is it a good guide that mostly gives you a place to start? Absolutely. If you have a suggestion for any point in the game, here's how -I- would like to see it (and yes, you will be credited for it in this post!) Prior to Nth Badge Location Key Items you -might- need Explanation on Pokemon, distinct advantages, why the area is better than most others in the game, etc. With that out of the way, I'll get the ball rolling. --- Prior to 1st Badge: Julia Locations Opal/Peridot/Underground Railnet, Peridot Alleyways Key Items: None - For those of you that are just starting Reborn, you will notice a distinct lack of tall grass, which can only be found in front of the Grand Hall, or in Mr. Seacrest's Garden at this point in the game. This makes the many Pokemon Trainer encounters throughout Reborn City your FRIEND. Before battling them however, try getting your hands on the Old Rod (Peridot Ward house with the fisherman near the Western shore) and gaining access to the garden (north from the Fisherman's house) and the Reservoir (another house in South Peridot), as well as picking up the PokeSnax from a house in the Peridot Ward (an old man resides in the home). It's very easy to just give your Starter pokemon all of the valuable experience from these battles, but if you have a semblance of a team before going on conquest, you will have a nicely lower teen's group of pokes by the time you reach Julia after helping her stop Meteor. If for whatever reason you need the extra experience, the Alleyways are your best bet, but the Meteor episode, battling Fern, Cain, and Victoria, and every other trainer in the wards should be ample preparation enough.
