and Chim...you still seem to be missing my point. The vast majority of the roles we play are TENTATIVE and are up for the townies to BELIEVE. Really - it doesn't matter if all the roles were "claimed" - as long as nobody is certain anyone is telling the truth. The only role that is confirmed -and- still alive is Tacos, who is an unimportant townie.
-
OH ROSE. YOU DUN GOOFED. Shade's a wild card character who has two unique functions, one of them being an investigation nightly, and the other being a bestower of random powers (which could prove to make this game, without switching up roles) even more unpredictable. Here's the jist. If you, Rose, are indeed Cain, then the only people left with investigative powers are Shade [Other] and Sirius [Mafia]

There's a difference between claiming a townie role and a role like Shade's. - You -want- people to know you're a townie. That keeps suspicion off of you. In games where you're -NOT- allowed to mention what role you have, you want to at least have a good alibi and be paying attention. Ultimately, it's up to the Mafia and your fellow townies to believe you. - If you're Shade, and you TELL everyone that you are Shade, it draws the mafia's suspicions to you (putting you at risk for getting hit) and it draws the townspeople's suspicions either to you, or away from you. (depending on if the town is not too concerned with offing Shade if they were telling the truth, or if the Mafia members are taking more of a precedence from a lynching standpoint.) My vote for your lynching, for example, comes from you being perfectly content to kill someone because they may be Shade. Shade isn't directly harmful to the town unless they aren't killed or lynched eventually. For now, the three remaining mafia members are more important targets. ...and "Shade" is more of a threat to the Mafia than he is two the town.
-
Zephyr Shade isn't on anybody's side, but the Mafia can't win unless they've killed everyone that isn't the mafia or have enough votes to control the game. The mafia has a better chance at fulfilling their role if Shade dies. The Townspeople don't get to share a win with Shade. Shade wins if he survives, Town wins if Shade dies as well as the Mafia does. ...there may be some discrepancies here, but if you're Shade, you don't want to tell anyone.
-
I do agree that I don't want to Shade to win and that if Shade were to pass it would be beneficial to everyone, Town or Mafia. I was waiting for someone to vote you before, but if you want a reminder of his rationale, here it is. He claims that you have been rather 'accusatory'. I don't need to read back and see where this was for now, because my reasoning for changing my vote doesn't relate with Tacos' reason. In a game with multiple mafia members, there's always ONE of them that is actively in the discussion (generally, if you want to try and pick my statement apart.) To me, your demeanor matches the deceased Felix'... Both of you are playing the game with a hard nose. I would be surprised if both of you were townies.

The only way Shade is harmful to the town is if were to remain alive. That's what sort of makes going after the ...i dunno...the MAFIA. ...take precedence. With that being said, I will now finally change my vote to Chim. Chim is one of the six people that isn't confirmed or even suspected of a role, and the bulk of the remaining roles belong to Mafia members or result in a late game loss condition for the Town. If this is the first townie that ends up being killed for speaking up, then I'll be looked at with reasonable suspicion the next day. Zephyr, If you are Shade or a fellow townie, You might consider that this man is willing to kill you even if you are a shadow who wishes to remain visible, and nothing more.

Ooohoho. Now that we know ExLink is usually an active, do we still suspect "Azery" or do we wait and see how this place out. Yes, this game does make you think too much. As I said earlier, I don't -think- Rose is lying to me due to having a specific complaint about Aster's role, but shes more suspect than my own claim. (I know when I'm lying and telling the truth.) And, I would like to see Zephyr be a little defensive too. Nobody has suspected her because she's "been active", but now that all of our inactives seem to be removed, everyone better be shouting at the top of their lungs.
-
-sigh- Vote whichever way you want to Zephyr. I think the mafia is a bit more active than Azery has let on. Good suspect? Yes, but I'm not certain if that's what the Mafia wants us to think or not. If Jelly truly doesn't give a rip about this, He could have been telling the truth about being Elliot.
-
Exactly, and that makes the likes of Azery (who I know has watched a few server games of Mafia) a good suspect. ...I have a real hunch that the Mafia is smarter than that. If it -was- Azery, he would eventually turn up to defend his alibi. It's been stated that he only votes in retaliation to suspicion and is inactive when not. -INACTIVE- doesn't register as an active mafia member to me.I think we've gone too far to turn around and go back to lynching those that have kept their mouths completely shut.
-
You know why the Mafia would hang back and keep a low profile? It's kinda the whole point. You don't want to claim Mafia roles because that would immediately draw lynch votes your way. There's not really much of a way to play the Mafia out and proud. (unless you're lying. For example, I could draw suspicion, based on Hukuna's claim, that -you- are a Mafia member because you are talking about inactives, which is undisputedly the "safe" vote) If you were to ask me, I would strongly consider Snap and Sparky, but I believe Rose and I are telling the truth.
