  1. When taking my annual "spiritual inventory" the "spiritual gift" that I score lowest on is "Mercy", and on the first inventory I ever took, I scored -very- lowly on it. Breaking that down, it means that I am usually a very merciless person and that forgiving others is not something that is a normal part of -my- ministry. It makes me come across as cold and often causes me to be unable to relate with others, because instead of telling them their mistakes are forgiven, I -at best- try to offer the solution from there, and -at worst- go as far as to point out how much of a mistake it was, and "preach" at them about it. A large part of "loving others" is being able to forgive them, and the pitfalls I experience as a minister and a believer in Christ are often related to me being comfortable with being alone and allowing myself to condemn other people instead of showing them mercy. Therefore, (putting the Holy Spirit's intent aside so that I may answer the question) That's what I would change, although maybe taking immediate corrective action and being pointed may be a part of God's plan for me, so long as I use my wits and tongue in a way that is out of love as oppose to condemnation. What do you find is the best quality you have?
  2. correction: Only ship that MATTERS
  3. Oh...okay.....*glumly looks for that old ring container*.....best birthday ever.... (Seriously though, that was the only ship you WEREN'T *cough* "strongarmed* into.)
  4. I have indeed attended a Skillet concert while Skillet was on the top of my list. It was a 10 dollar Christian Rock music festival and for an act like Skillet, it was a real bargain (there were nine other artists in the lineup, along with a magician and keynote speaker.) I was able to pick up some merch, and sit within 5 feet of the pyrotechnics. Great experience. The ultimate question. When you visit a Subway, do you prefer your sub toasted, or not?
  5. Personally... I wouldn't mind if we ran into a sort of promiscuous stalker that would make for some hilarious exchanges with Cain and some unsettling bits of dialogue, but I don't think the categories that were politicked for in this thread. - Complete the Dex - Challenge the League - Encounter you while you are about to find and obtain something important with the opportunity to obtain it instead. ...are things that really needed.
  6. I'm not sure if this is a ship, or if Skitty owns Kamina as she does say, a coffee table....I wonder if this gets confirmed or denied though.
  7. I'm thankful for the ability to help people on Pokemon Online that are seemingly worse off than I am nowadays. It's been a real climb and my capabilities -have- gotten better. I'm still a poor battler in comparison to most, but I have my strengths and know them well.

  8. I don't really think Sparky is as much of a flirt as Jacze is. Sparky kinda fits the longing distant observer role more than he does the try and try again bachelor. That being said, let's not instigate.
  9. Things I would like to see. Druddigon (It's here) Frillish ...that's about it.
  10. I've got a few qualms with the original post here, OP, so maybe you can touch on them a little bit. - Rival with the same goals and intentions as us - Complete the Dex, Become Champion, being "unique". I don't know if you are familiar with the Generation 1 of the main series games, but Blue/Green/Gary/explicitnamehere/whatever is EXACTLY this. Someone who is charged to complete the Pokedex, and who strives to become champion. If you haven't played Red or Blue (or FireRed/LeafGreen) and didn't know that your rival did these things, that's completely understandable. If you did, then you would have to think that this idea of a rival with the same goals as you would -not- be "unique, because it has been done before in a Gamefreak title. Furthermore, The player actually causes Fern to challenge the Reborn League in Reborn, so it's not like there isn't a rival that isn't competing with you there either. It's just -not- happening very frequently. That being said, I could see Fern arriving and you battling over a legendary Pokemon encounter a few times. - the relative "strength" of Pokemon. In the main series games, here are some Pokemon that your rivals do get a hold of. Red/Blue/Yellow - Arcanine, Gyarados, Alakazam, Heracross (FR/LG), Tyranitar (FR/LG) - Blue/Green/Gary/etc. Gold/Silver/Crystal - Alakazam, Gengar - Silver Ruby/Sapphire - Altaria, Gardevoir, M-Gallade (ORAS) - Wally Diamond/Pearl/Platinum - Snorlax, Staraptor, Heracross, Roserade - Barry Black/White/BW2 - Haxorus - Cheren, Chandelure, Mienshao - Bianca, Flygon, Elektross, ..that buffalo thing. - Hugh X/Y - Goodra - Shauna, Talonflame, Roserade - Tierno, Aerodactyl, Florges - Trevor, Altaria, Clefable - Calem/Serena There are some -very- strong pokemon on our rival's rosters in the main series games, and that's no stranger to us in Reborn. Fern has Krookodile, Ferrothorn, Roserade. Cain has Nidoking and Muk..and so on and so forth. The thing about rivals that makes them easy isn't their team choices most of the time. It's the numbers and AI behind them, as well as our OWN relative skill. I don't think losing a battle and having them acquire a legendary Pokemon is going to have a major impact when we as players have a higher relative skill level than the AI (and in Reborn, it is a little more noticeable than the main series games, I'll give you that...I just question if this will really be impactful or not, seeing as a lot of us -won't- lose to our rivals that often.)
  11. Battle Maiden Hilda - Well met, challenger. I am Hilda, and I shall be your opponent today. There's something about the art of war that even my parents understood would co-exist suitably with me. It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters, but the amount of fight in the dog. You yourself are a testament to the truth in that statement just by having the ability to enter this very hall. Unfortunately for you, the claim applies to me as well. Draw your weapon, and may God's favor be bestowed upon whom it is most deserved... Type: Fighting Ace: Chesnaught Supporting Cast: Scrafty, Hawlucha, Gallade, Lucario, Mienshao After sending out last Pokemon: My partners and I will continue to throw punches until the bell rings. No knock-outs today! After Winning - You may have come up short in this battle, but you haven't lost the war. I assume you'll be armed and ready again very soon. After Losing - You've outlasted me, challenger. My victory wasn't in the cards today. Closing remarks - Your fight is very quickly reaching it's final rounds. There are three of us remaining. Keep your blade steady, for you are halfway through us Elite Four members. Two of us down, two await you and your fighting spirit. You've run three of us through now, only one more stands between your blade and the Champion's. My, my. This fight of yours may very well go down in history. You're one battle away from taking the hill. The Champion awaits.
  12. Hmm. Deep question... In my opinion, "power" is the amount of influence someone or something has. Simple as that. To think in the terms of say, a battery powered laptop. A fully charged laptop has more power than a nearly dead battery, being able to keep the Laptop functioning longer than the latter. In terms of people, the President has more power than an average citizen, because he is able to influence more people. Being "powerful" and being "strong" are not one in the same, although most of time appear as such. In my opinion, strength is measured in multiple parameters. It could be the amount of force you exert, or the amount of time one spends enduring something, or the ability to suffer but not fade away.
  13. What's with the yelling, eh? Kyra, pls, I'm sorry for not showing up earlier.
  14. ^ There are four loves. Affectionate, Charity, Romantic (Eros), and Godly (Agape) love, according to the Roman-Greco Philosophers... - Affectionate love is the short end. Frendship, comradery, familial in nature. It's the genuine love you give to your circle of people. - Charity is the love you show for those in need. - Romance is the passionate "love" reserved for life partners. - ..and "Agape" is the love shown by God to His people, and the greatest "love" of them all. ....Tacqs nailed it. Love is a strong word. Due to my own disconnects, I don't have the best grasp on any of the four loves at all. To me, Love is a work in progress. Unfinished, not ready, and possibly not in the cards depending on which "Love" you are talking about.
  15. Fighting/Dragon - This pokemon would be an offensive threat that is checked by Fairies. Fighting/Ghost - gains an immunity to normal type attacks (and a liability to fellow ghosts) and could be anything. Electric/Grass (something other than a Rotom form) - Anything goes here. Fire/Grass - just sounds super op, and I like it. Will have nice weakness to flying, but that would be it. Poison/Fairy - nice and powerful sounding More Steel/Grass - I would love to see some offensive pokemon here, as risky as running them would be.
  16. Ah. I agree that -that- was wrongful. I'm not "condoning" any police brutality here. At ALL. You're right about there being a lack of history to draw from in order to place white people in the same boat as blacks, Neo. That was NOT my intention. My question at the end of the first post I made in response was to find out why white people can't defend their race (because you know, black people do that all the time and I find it hypocritical to be upset about it happening.) If you are to ask me, Kanye is just as guilty of objectifying women as Eminem is at discriminating against them. That's a moot argument. Both people CONTRIBUTE to the problem of hindering the progress of the black community. I wasn't even TALKING about how Eminem hurts the white community. It's also, EQUALLY WRONG. Again, there isn't much room to complain here though, because complaining about Eminem making "rap" influence black culture negatively ignores the fact that black rappers do the same thing. It's hypocritical. There's a large amount of reasons for the school to prison pipeline that communities admittedly need to work to improve on. Like, for example, RETAINING students instead of having drop outs. Teaching students about why crime would -land- them in prison would probably be beneficial too. It would do wonders if the kids went to class and actually got their work done, graduated, and moved on with life. Also, because you haven't really shut this down yet, I'm not going to budge on removing parts of our law that are actually used to protect ALL Americans, just because there is a stigma that a person's race provides reasonable suspicion. I'm all for black "CULTURE" to be left alone in the name of progress, as long as it doesn't involve breaching the freedoms and protections of others, and doesn't result in the law being broken.
  17. Judging from the last option given, I assume you are hinting at the Treyvon Martin incident. You didn't specify what time of day the walk was taking place, and I can assure you "facing a fear" of being "assaulted" in any way is a common thread for anyone walking around at night, regardless of race. In broad daylight, it's a little "less" justifiable unless you were living in a mostly white neighborhood in the south as a black person, or vise versa. I've lived in "section 8" my entire life, and even though yes, as Neo mentioned, crime rates go up with poverty rates (and causes gang activity to follow suit) the neighborhood has been "mostly" safe. Obviously though, if you're out at night for some reason, there is reason for a white person to fear being attacked.
  18. - So, is it a "black ideal" to go after drugs, sex, violence, money (in the criminal manner) , and so on? -I- wouldn't say so, and if you think that ...I dunno..."not breaking the law" is "too white" for you, I can't really say anything else here except for playing the bitch and telling you to expect negative consequences for those actions. I do recognize musicians that are white contribute to negative pop culture, and I -never- said that it was okay. Flip the coin though. It's not the same gravity as a white person calling someone the "n" word when you can have Eminem and Kanye at the same awards show and they have nearly the same degrading message or promotion of illegal activity in their lyrics. Again, some people are going to be harmful white people, but it's just as regressive when blacks do it too. - They aren't exceptions -or- the rule. They are making progress and escaping poverty, thus enabling the black community to have a better future without the need to even -hold- protests. Of course, if you are going to answer my question above with "Yes" you might want to have a chat with the NAACP about what -they- think will help the black communities improve here, and if -they- promote breaking the law, times sure have changed since the March on Washington... - I'm open for a discussion about this one. Name me a struggle the black community faces that whites don't face. I'll provide either a white flag agreement, or a historical example of why you are wrong.
  19. Your point? There -absolutely- have been cases of reduced sentencing or exoneration for black men as well.
  20. Yes. 3D Chibi Red. The most "not" imposing any Pokemon Master has ever looked. Possible. Seriously, a "re"-"remake?"
  21. 3. Florinia - The Desert Rose is devoid of emotion. This enables her to see things as they are perhaps better than any other character in the game. 2. Charlotte - This character I feel is the character that bests illustrates -me- in the game. She's a strikingly distant observer, yet also has the ability to take the reigns and drive the convoy. Her snark rivals and mirrors my own and she's not adverse to using trickery and deception to accomplish the goal at hand (as seen in the Yureyu Bldg. incident), and she holds a deep regret. This character seems to be the most beautifully illustrated and detailed in my opinion. 1. Cal - Perhaps the shocker pick if you know me. It's not often you find "weak" male characters in video game culture, and it's even less of an occurrence to be a weak -yet- formidable male character. Cal is a guy with good intentions...and bad luck. He also is a guy who is strong enough to at least provide the player with some closure, and I doubt his story is at it's end. Honorable Mentions: Cain, Ame, Meteor Grunt Hilda, Luna, Radomus Not Even Close: Victoria
  22. "all white men benefit from racist power structures and social ideas it's as simple as that" Let's talk about the "idea" of justice. Most of your recent claims have been that the typical American police department generalizes black citizens as suspicious. > Coming from the daughter of a defense attorney, this is absolutely true. I hear about discrimination in the justice system all the time, from the scene of the arrest to the court of law. The fact of the matter however, is you can holler and pitch a fit on the Twitterverse and the Internet all you so please, it's a social mindset that is continuing to be improved upon. As for your allegation on "white people benefiting from power structures"-...this isn't true at all. A white man who is conclusively found guilty of a crime by the evidence will indeed receive due punishment for said crime. In the case of the Ferguson Riots, the looters didn't help the "cause" of the riot much at all, because they actually went and did things that would provoke the police to act. This act of "doing one's job" by the police force is not a reflection of the black people in this country as a whole, yet it reflects badly because it "causes" such generalization to occur. I'm going to -have- to be honest here. Something that black people can do to IMPROVE their standing would be to collectively change the way the community appears in pop culture. There is a size-able number of "music artists" from the community that choose to advocate items that would only cause more negative generalization, such as drugs, sex, objectifying women or pursuing men due to sexual attributes, owning as much money as possible so that it can be spent on "Adult entertainment", relationships without commitment, and so on and so forth. Gang violence is heavily tied -to- the race card, whether any of us "likes" it or not, and is ALSO a part of pop culture via these same entertainers. In the same token that some white people are living with a Southerner mentality, some people on the other side of the tracks aren't helping the black community's image improve much either. Also, there -has- been progress here -since- 1964. Some of it which suggests that white people are becoming less and less profound as a whole. - the introduction of race specific "scholarships" (that Whites are BARRED from, fyi) have helped several colored students escape "typical" socio-economic dregs and earn meaningful college degrees. As a result, you see more prominent African Americans in the workforce -and- even in the government (Herman Cain, President Obama, Thurgood Marshall, athletes, doctors, businessmen, and so on and so forth.) - The increased awareness for "equality" outside of race is largely fueled by the progressiveness that came with the Civil Rights movement. I don't understand why one person would be angry about defending one's race here. All of us are people, and all of us individuals experience discrimination at some point in our lives. We also experience progress.
