Can we please cut the "bird Jesus" jokes short already? They were never funny to begin with. That aside, I don't like Ferrothorn's moves at all. Thunder Wave conflicts with Gyro Ball, I know you said you plan on having it do different things at different times but that usually isn't a good idea. Give it spikes over Power Whip and Protect over Thunder wave or, if you think you need Thunder Wave more than Spikes, then give it Protect over Gyro Ball. One offensive move is all Ferro needs, and since you lack lefties recovery Protect is needed to make Leech Seed reliable at all. The other Pokemon are ok... I can see some specific threats, some of which actually quite common, giving you grief to some extent, but I don't know what to suggest without altering the team significantly, so yeah, if it works for you, then it's fine. The Pidgeot set is not a bad idea actually, I would love to see some replays.

Well if you think Superpower beats all of Durant's common switch-ins, then it settles it... Just go with it then.

Baton Pass as fourth move on Durant. No matter what Mega you pick, it will enjoy a perfect accuracy HJK/Diamond Storm. And Ttar likes having perfect accuracy Stone Edge and Fire Blast. So yeah, that is an option you really should consider, given that there are many walls in OU that people will switch into Durant, and that Durant cannot beat even at +1 (Gliscor, Ferrothorn, Heatran). All these walls are slower than Durant, so just Baton Pass out and give a companion a chance to solve the problem.

So here is the thing: after getting to the top 100 in basically every singles non-monotype tier on Showdown, I have grown bored of the ladder. Mind you, this is not the "I am so strong I am bored because nobody can put up a decent fight" kind of rant, what I am trying to say is that I have grown tired of 3 aspects of laddering on Showdown: 1) How hax impacts laddering. Basically, whenever I am not haxed I win and gain positions, whenever I am haxed I lose and fall down the ladder again. 2) How all teams I face always include the same Pokemon. This happens in all the tiers: each metagame is dominated by some specific strategies or individual Pokemon you are very likely to see in most of the teams you face. 3) How the above point influences my own teambuilding. There are Pokemon I love I never managed to use in any tier, because building a team around them that is both good from a synergy standpoint and fitting of my own style would mean not including specific checks to the overly common strategies/Pokemon. Not to mention that I often end up using said overly common strategies/Pokemon myself (my latest and most succesful RU team includes a Regen core, for example). So yeah, I am not saying there is something wrong about any of these 3 points, I am fully aware that such things are part of the game when laddering on Showdown, and I knew full well what I was getting into when I decided to return to competitive Pokemon battling earlier this year. So this is not meant to be a rant. I am not saying "I hate Showdown" or nonsense like that. I am simply saying: I love teambuilding and I love battling, but I don't want to bring it to the Showdown ladder anymore. What else can I do? Are there any initiatives started by the Reborn community I am not aware of? I mean of course there are the theme tours, but those are often at problematic hours for me (damn timezones)... Anything else? I should probably mention that I am also currently under exams, so it would be better for me to avoid things that are excessively time-absorbing... Although knowing myself, if something rekindles my enthusiasm for teambuilding and battling I will most likely dive straight into it, studies be damned...

Really. Two pages of fossil talk and no love for that concentrate of sheer badassery and T-rexness that is Tyrantrum? Massive attack, Rock Head, Head Smash, Dragon sub-type, and it if a friggin' T-REX for crying out loud ! What is there NOT to love? The quality of the opposition on the ladder, or rather the lack thereof, never ceases to amaze me: this guy pretty much up and decided to let me win with some glaring mistakes, wrong decisions, and sub-par sets...

Am I the only one who thinks we are getting to some seriously sci-fi scenarios? I mean, I have never seen in my entire life a doctor who would ask for the sexual orientation of his patients before curing them. Then again, in America doctors ask you if you have healthcare insurance before curing you, sowhat do I know? SEEN? That's why I didn't want to get in the whole healthcare territory, I knew I would end up making that joke. I better leave at this point, call me again when the discussion has returned to civil rights ;-;

Uh... I think Alexus meant "let priests or whatever refuse to marry gay people", not "get the hell out of my shop we don't want gay people here" :/ Also because refusing to sell stuff to a gay person makes no sense for a simple reason: unless you are going around dressed like a drag queen, how are they even supposed to know that you are gay? To my knowledge, gay people don't go around with a "hi, I am gay" plate on their chest, and it has never happened to me to be told by a shop clerk "here is the stuff you wanted to buy... But wait, are you gay?". I won't go in details into the healthcare part because healthcare is one of the reasons why I think America is a stupid country, so yeah, that cause me to derail from the topic at hand...

Well this kind of misunderstanding is bound to happen if you say "christian religious communitY", singular, instead of "religious communitIES", plural. But yeah, I know the kind of people you are talking about: they piss me off because they give a bad name to my religion. Which is why I am so dead set in not being confused with them. What they believe in is NOT what I believe in. What I believe in is the teaching of that one guy who saved a whore from lapidation, washed the feet of dirt poor people, and whipped some rich merchants who were doing their business in the Temple. And not once did he ever say, to my knowledge, "homosexual people are not citizens". What he did say, however, was "Give Cesar what belongs to Cesar, and give God what belongs to God", meaning that religious beliefs and the laws of a country should always be kept separated... Which brings me back full circle to my earlier point about religious marriage and civil marriage coexisting

You get a like from me because of the effort you put in it. Really, it warms my heart to see that there are people who care about our project so much to actually go through all that reasoning just to guess the typing of a fakemon. And in all that reasoning you actually got some things right without promting on our part, so double kudos EDIT: this was aimed at Cepheus, dem ninja ponies ;-; EDIT EDIT: and there I thought I'd do something special for my 1300th post.

Excuse me sir. Please don't generalize the "christian religious community". Firstly, not all christians are the same, many minor confessions that exist in America are WAY more extreme than us catholics (which is saying a lot). Secondly, there are literally millions of people like me in Italy and all around the world. As I once said in another topic, "devout" and "bigot" are two very different things. The christian concept of marriage is reserved for heterosexual couples because it is a belief of the curch that the ultimate task of said rite is to promote reproduction (heck the italian word for it, "matrimonio", comes from the latin mater, which means, you guessed it, mother). However, as I clearly said in my quoted post, the religious marriage and the civil marriage are two very different things, so nothing forbids that hetrosexual people getting married in a church and homosexual people getting married in a city hall can coexist peacefully, without interfering with one another. This position of mine is shared by what I strongly believe is the majority of the christians all around the world, so again, please don't generalize. Lately badmouthing christians has become some kind of trend, and while I do understand that there are, in many countries (including my own sadly), some very vocal minorities who still think and act like people from the Middle Age, I hate them as much as you do, and I don't want to be confused with them. Thank you very much.

Ok everyone, since we are thankful to you all for the attention our project is gathering (thanks for your kind words Phoenix) we are going to announce a new Pokemon. Unfortunately, it is not "badass" as Nick demanded, but it is a cool concept nonetheless, if I do say so myself. Ladies and gentlemen please give it up for Lassirena! This is really Zimvader's style at its finest. Who else could take a sea wasp, give it strong alien motifs and a creepy eyeless face, and make it look so damn cute? This is also an interesting Pokemon in that it is supposed to be mysterious: as soon as you begin your adventure you will soon find trainers who have it, however it won't be possible for you to catch it during the first chapter of the story. As a result, figuring out its type will be difficult, also because it has features reminiscing of a plethora of different types, including Water, Fairy, Psychic, and Poison. And keep in mind that, at the beginning of the game, you will have a rather limited selection of attacks to choose from, so guessing from its reistances and weaknesses won't be easy either. So yeah, since we took cruelty classes from Ame, we are not going to reveal the exact typing of this cute little freak. Instead, we are going to reveal its nornal abilities, so that they might aid in your efforts at guessing: Rain Dish and Liquid Ooze. Feel free to try and guess! Go Cepheus logic!
