I guess we'll reach all those numbers at some point. I mean 666 is a must XD

  2. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-241636427 Sometimes it really feels that "OU no mega" is scrubland... I mean I am in the top percentage of Rattata the tier, and this is all the competition I get? EDIT: one could argue that only in scrubland I could make it to the top percentage
  3. My name is TOMAS, without the h <.< But yeah, that was definitely a fun idea, it is a pity that it never got anywhere. I would love to revive it come september... Depending on how busy I am with real life and Se7en, that is. Speaking of which, thanks for the free advertisement Now back on the topic: I am a big fan of strategy RPG, so of course a Pokemon-themed strategy RPG was an idea I liked a lot. The "one move per Pokemon" thing kinda limited its potential tho... On one hand, I reckon that maybe giving customization options to each individual Pokemon would have been too much for a NDS game, but on the other hand Disgaea DS exists, and it is a strategy RPG with TONS of customization options and a very long plot, so yeah, it that could fit in a NDS cartridge, they could have maybe gone the extra mile with Conquest too... But overall I can't complain, the fact that each Pokemon can do only a specific thing makes it fun to strategize. Although I end up using mostly warlords and neglecting normal mooks, because if you take the time to grind and transform them, the warlords get some insanely powerful abilities...
  4. I LEARNED TO PLAY CHARGE CHARACTERS. At long last I did it! My 2D fighting experience is now complete!

      Positive or negative charge?

  5. TFW a Quiver Dance user with Protean requires last minute toning UP, because in-depth analysis reveals it to be too weak for Se7en standards...

  6. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-241056587 Isn't there someting wrong here? I mean compare turn 16 with turn 18 and the following ones: if Gyro Ball did 21% initially, and Dragon Dance boosts Gyara's speed (thus making Gyro Ball stronger), how did it fail to break the sub?
    1. Odybld

      Odybld

Ok, I was stupid before. I think it's speed investment was enough for Gyroball to be capped at max power without the DD

    2. Rezilia

      Rezilia

I can't find any reason why Gyro Ball failed so hard. The substitute should also have had its speed increase and Gyro Ball isn't a status move so there's no way the sub should have resisted GB like that.

  7. You want something to use on Heliolisk over HP Ice? Try Grass Knot to smack those pesky Swampert/Quagsire. If you want Lanturn to be bulky and offensive at the same time, try Assault Vest: you can run the same EVs and moves with it, trading a bit of damage output with MUCH better bulk. Also Volt Absorb is pointless considering that your entire team resists Electric and cannot be para'd, so I suggest Water Absorb instead. And I am kinda iffy about Magnezone, that is literally the only member of this team I dislike. As this team lacks a physical attacker, maybe try Coil Eelektross instead? You don't need 3 users of Rain Dance because the only Pokemon of your team that depends on Rain Dance is Heliolisk, and two users of Rain Dance are enough to support that one...
  8. Sylveon can do the work just fine: I actually like Sylveon as a cleric because, with Pixilate, Hyper Voice hits insanely hard even uninvested, meaning you can put all of your EVs in HP and SpDef and get yourself a very good wall/cleric that can still hit hard if taunted. So yeah, just breed yourself another Eevee from the eeveelution you currently have, train it to become a Sylveon and profit? And having two fairies in the party won't be a problem because, between Diggersby and Magnezone, you'll have no problems dealing with Steel-type foes...
  9. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-240858157 tfw the opponent has a Pokemon you don't know how to deal with, but they decide to ragequit over a silly mistake and hands you the free points before you have to deal with the problem :D
  10. I thought my previous post actually confirmed what you said? O.o
  11. ... Or will they? It's actually hard to tell, I mean some Dark-type Pokemon in this game are very strong (and some kinda suck lol), but it's not like all the Ghost-type ones are defenseless against them, we managed to achieve a somewhat balanced in-game tiers, most Pokemon have ways to beat their checks... Or at least that's the plan. We'll see how things go when people actually start playing the game I guess.
  12. Random trivia time: 3 different gym leaders have a Ghost-type Pokemon as their ace, despite having completely different strategies and no relations to one another whatsoever. Make of this what you will lol.
  13. Your username is kinda familiar, have we met in the past somewhere? I used to go by "Tears in Heaven" or "Tears of tomorrow" in the PO beta community, in the Duelingnetwork forum and in some other places... And well I am pretty sure I am the only Tomas Elliot around the web. I cannot put my finger on it, but I am almost sure that I have heard Cyriusblade somewhere in the past. Tat aside, welcome to our wonderful asylum community! For more Pokemon-related experience, check out the Fangame Exposé section, with lots of more fangames created in this community that you can enjoy! none is as cool as Se7en tho
  14. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-240782333 And with this, I am back in the top 100 at long last...

Oh, I wasn't aware of that topic. Now I must go, but I will post something there later :)

  15. I concur to this. But there are also other changes I would like to suggest: 1) Choice Band Diggersby: people tend to forget it, but Diggersby actually has U-turn. Band Diggerspy with U-Turn, Return, Earthquake and whatever filler you are good with (typically Quick Attack for prio or Stone Edge for coverage) hits like a truck and forms a Volt-Turn core with Magnezone, allowing you to trap the likes of Skarmory and Ferrothorn more easily. 2) Speaking of trapping: Magnet Pull over Sturdy on Magnezone, and Hidden Power Fire over Ice. This way, you are guaranteed to trap and kill not only Skarmory and Empoleon, but also Scizor and Ferrothorn. And these are very important kills because these Pokemon can otherwise stop your win condition, Mega Altaria, in its tracks. 3) I really don't like mono-attacking Gothitelle. I mean ok, at low levels of play it guarantees a victory when you trap a Pokemon, cripple it with trick, and start using CM and Rest to get to +4, simply because the opponent will get bored and ragequit halfway through... But at high levels, all you will achieve is killing one single Pokemon, the one you trapped, and even doing that will require a long, long time. Then the opponent will send out Bisharp or Tyranitar and Pursuit-trap you to death. So yeah, you waste an insane amount of turns just to trade one kill: how does that make any sense? I therefore recommend getting rid of this thing altogether, because Magnezone already does a MUCH better job at trapping enemies that are problematic for Altaria. And speaking of Altaria, you are not using Heal Bell on that one, meaning it is weak to status: I therefore suggest putting a cleric in Gothitelle's place, someone that can pass Wishes around to keep your team-mates healthy, and Heal Bell to cure Altaria should it get burned... Well, this is all I can suggest. Good luck with the team
  16. The part about the saloon brawl is spot-on. Cepheus' logic strikes one again!
  17. I spell it "Pokemon". Why would you spell it "that know Justified"? Inb4 nobody gets the joke and this results in a stream of "what?" and "what do you mean?"
  18. If you want to go there, Ar Tonelico 2: it is divided in 5 chapters, and the first two chapters are NOTHING BUT TUTORIALS. It gets VERY frustrating very fast... Fortunately, the remaining 3 chapters are awesome so they kinda make it worth it...
  19. We are talking about a game who has been around for over 6 years, and memes, jokes, videos and gifs involving Adachi are everywhere on the internet... How can that be considered a spoiler? O.o
  20. I absolutely LOATHE these two tropes: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OneWingedAngel http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BishonenLine Why must every monster become more and more humanoid over time (points at most Digimon in their final form)? And why must cunning humans who manipulated the player throughout the game transform into hideous beasts before squaring off in the final battle? I like it when monsters stay monsters and humans stay humans! The "One Winged Angel" one actually bugs me the most: in my long life of gamer I have never, AND I SAY NEVER, faced a human as a final boss. No matter how clever, deranged or badass the human villain is, you just never get to face him, or at least, not in human form. WHY? I mean take Persona 4: you, a Persona-wielding human, have been going around kicking eldricth abominations left and right, so that makes it obvious that a Persona-wielding human is stronger than whatever hideous monster can pop out the TV world... So it made PERFECT SENSE for Adachi, a Persona-wielding human, to be the (supposed) final boss in december... BUT NO! Ame-no-sagiri has to come out of nowhere and take over as the boss!
  21. Well, hard to find anything at all to say... Instinct would be to say "get the hell out of there ASAP" but... Eh, I wonder if that is even doable at all for you and your family?
  22. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-240549139 The problem with playing against noobs is that they do things like turn 18...

  23. IMO, there are many things in today's UU meta that can prevent Ninjask from setting up a sub, so yeah, realistically you won't be baton passing Swords Dances most of the time, but rather just the speed. Because of this, I recommend running the SD+SN set on Doublade, removing Shadow Claw and Pursuit. Prio is needed to beat some of your checks, and SD is needed because... Well, you admitted it yourself, if you cannot baton pass a +2 Atk to it Doublade is pretty useless. Also, Flash Fire makes Chandelure a very good check for Arcanine, and Flash Fire-powered Specs Fire Blast hits like a truck, so I recommend Flash Fire over Infiltrator on that one. These minor remarks aside, this team looks good, well done
  24. Problem is, development of Chapter 1 has officially started, so our hands are rather full right now... We do our best!
