Aw crap waited to long. O well happy new year!

  2. Tried livening up Se7en's Twitter a bit. I swear once exams are over and Ep 2 is out (we are talking about end of february/beginning of march), that page will go through some serious overhaul...

  3. Lately I have been having this nagging feeling that won't leave me alone. I feel like I have forgotten something important, something that happened a long time ago...

No no I am really feeling this way. I dunno, it's kinda confusing, all I know is that it is shortening my already short attention span...

Geez, you guys. With all the emo statuses being posted daily in this forum, I didn't think it would be so difficult for me to be taken seriously, for once that I am posting something personal <.<

Because you're usually the first to call the "emo statuses" "emo statuses", hard to believe you're actually being serious with yours.

  4. Remember that each and every of our early game Pokemon can have a trick up its sleeves to help it stay relevant late game For example, anyone wanna try and guess some HAs of Ep 1 mons? Of course, even if you get some right we cannot and will not tell you, but I think it would be interesting to see your reasoning. Yes, this is indeed a challenge for Cepheus Logic.
  5. Frankly I find Acupressure to be too luck-based for my likings, but that aside, I really enjoyed reading your opinions a lot. It is good to see that people might have approaches and ideas about our game that drastically differ from our own. A Pokemon that we feared would be overlooked already has a small but loyal following, and that is certainly a good thing. We are currently at work to make sure that Ep 2 will make your experience even deeper, by adding more diversity and customization options, so yeah, if you enjoy experimenting, you can look forward to it. Just do not divulge publicly the info you are gathering please. P.S.: as mentioned in many other occasions, the Elftik family consists of spiders (or at least, arachnoid creatures), so I think there is at least one move you can expect it to have
  6. Are people still casting votes on the survey above? It would be nice if they could also post their detailed impressions
  7. I shall consider that connection crash a divine warning, and head to sleep post haste. Goodnight, my loyal peons!

  8. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ru-307291885 Battling elegantly also means knowing how to patiently wait over 30 turns for an opening to turn the match around...
  9. I was unfortunately unable to attend it, because of timezone issues. Pity, the Queen's Game could have used my presence. Regardless, I believe anywhere from 6 AM to 2 or 3PM EST would be fine for me, I would cast a vote on this matter but the system is preventing me from doing so (I am supposedly required to cast a vote in each section, but how can I if I missed the event?).
  10. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ru-307280419 Turn 20. I believe the proper expression to be used in such circumstances would be "rekt", right?

I'd venture to say that it is exactly that :P

  11. My my, if Azery-kun is going to be in, then I guess I will grace you with my presence as well. He needs someone to look after him, and you guys could use having a proper lady on board. And as far as battling skills go, I think the amount of loyal peons I have whipped into shape for the Redemption League speaks for itself. Not to mention, I remember sharing some fun time with Kaito-kun in the past, so I suppose he could advocate for my position. Bear in mind that I am lowering myself by volunteering for this membership (a proper lady should be asked to be in a group, she shouldn't have to ask herself), so please show appropriate gratefulness. Like for example, renaming the group "Cook Corporation, Reborn Branch" could be an acceptable start.
  12. This is what comes to mind when I see you people talk about the "King's Game"...

Yeah, that's an example of. Except more roleplay based cuz text

  13. I stand by my earlier point: "That One Boss" is an entirely subjective matter, specially for a game like Reborn. Some people might find a boss to be rediculously hard, while others might have no problems against it. Therefore, if Reborn's page on Tv Tropes has a YMMV sub-page, put this trope in there. If it does not have a YMMV sub-page, then you are better off not listing this trope at all in my opinion.
  14. Correction: they ARE Hopeless Boss Fights. Explicitly designed to be that. The sole reason why people around this forum defeat them anyway is that, well, most of us would rather have their livers removed with a rusted spoon than concede defeat on ANYTHING, as most debates in the Trainer Journal section clearly demonstrate.
  15. It is a matter of personal preference, so unless the page has a YMMV sub-page, I'd avoid using that one trope.
  16. ... I am not doing a good job of staying in character, am I?

Well, from my bountiful experience... hell nah, bro, you fail.

But eh, like hukuna said, that shit is a lot harder than it looks. You have to actively suppress your normal behavior and mannerisms in order to mimic those of another, and sometimes... you just slip on accident.

  19. If you are a fan of Disgaea, you should really get your hands on Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. It is the progenitor of the entire NISA shared universe, without that there would have been no La Pucelle, and thus no Disgaea...

  20. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like explaining the thought process that culminated in the creation of this or that character of Se7en. I am simply saying that, for me, it would be more satisfying if the players would go the extra mile to figure it out by themselves. "Your character is so interesting I researched its origin" is the best compliment I can receive.

  21. What Hukuna meant to say is that yes, each character has an aspect of his/her personality that ties in with his/her choice of type to specialize in. Only, said aspect is not taken from the usual portfolio of recurring stereotypes you will find in most Pokemon games. The Ghost E4 in B/W is a writer who loves the occult: that is her motivation for using the Ghost type. And as far as I am concerned, that is the only non-stereotypical Ghost user you will find in any Pokemon game: death, supernatural and/or generic gloominess are usually associated with the type, from Morty in GSC to the Hex Lover class in X/Y, and even including Shade from Reborn. That, in my opinion, is lazy writing: research of tradition, passion for myths and legends, and in general anything dealing with the past can also tie in with the Ghost type, albeit in subtler, less obvious ways. Mary's reason for using the Ghost type is simply the fact that she is a pirate wannabe. There is literally nothing more to it. This might make no sense to someone who only knows pirates from fiction but well, for a true pirate wannabe, piracy would be more easily associated with the Ghost type than with the Water type. And I should know, being a pirate wannabe myself. I used to love researching the history of piracy as a kid, I used to read all the history books on the matter I could get my hands on, and I poured all the results of those researches in the creation of Mary, whose namesake really did exist during the so-called "Golden Age of Piracy". And never did I doubt, since early days of creation, that she would use the Ghost type: do you know why there are so many myths concerning pirates? Davy Jones, the Kraken, sightings of haunted ships, treasures being cursed, and all the other stuff that you can find in modern fiction (like the series of movies starring Johnny Depp): do you know why all those legends exist in the first place? I'll tell you: it's because pirates were EXTREMELY superstitious people. Most of those legends were invented by pirates themselves, partly because they wanted to make sure people would really be scared of them, and partly because they themselves did believe in such superstitions. When you spend most of your life on a ship, you learn of just how many ways there are to die prematurely: if you survive the illnesses and the tempests, you will soon be involved in shootings against the marine. And of course, when a premature death becomes a very real possibility, you start making up myths and legends to try and exorcise the fear. Pirates used to tell ghost stories of all kinds, and to invent some themselves on top of that, simply because, by talking about unrealistic, supernatural fears, they could forget for a moment the very realistic and natural fears they had to face every day. In short: it's better to talk about Davy Jones, than about how tomorrow your ship could be captured by the marine, resulting in you getting hanged. So yeah, as a person who values the traditions of her town (it WAS founded by pirates, after all) and loves to research the history of piracy, Mary has become superstitious herself, hence why she uses the Ghost type. Heck since we are talking about myths concerning piracy: there was also a myth concerning a city founded by pirates somewhere in the caribbeans. Supposedly, this city was a true paradise for pirates, a place where they could kick back and enjoy the fruits of their adventures at sea: the name of this city was "La Tortuga", which means "The Turtle" in Spanish. Now, guess what "Kelon" means in Greek...
  22. And then there is Land of Carnage, where the actual level of enemies is higher than the cap, but since the number that expresses the level cannot go over the cap, they make up for it by giving insane stat boosts to enemies that hit the cap. And THEN there is the "Stronger Enemies" bill which... You get the idea. It's funny, if you think about it: you can clear the main plot of any given Disgaea with your party at a level ranging anywhere from 70 to 90, yet once you do that ther is still so much left to further and further power up your characters... In a NG+, facing the main story with your party at post-game level, using the Stronger Enemies bill to get the enemies to match, can result in some seriously epic battles lol. Anyway, Disgaea 1 and 2 exist for PSP, which IIRC means that you can download them from the store and play them on your Vita in reverse compatibility mode. As for Disgaea 3 and 4, they exist for Vita, so just go buy them (and this summer Disgaea D2 should hopefully join them on the Vita library).
  23. This person explicitly mentions having a PS Vita, and none of you recommends Disgaea (any iteration of the franchise really). I hate you all.
  24. http://i.imgur.com/sNUxr7k.png Are you telling me that this insufferable bimbo, this mockery of everything a proper lady should be, is THAT Etoile Rosenqueen? The one all the shops in the Disgaea franchise are named after?
