  1. Well Xenova's final form is pretty terrifying on its own, I don't think you need to go there lol
  2. That was just my way of showing you that, when I say that Zim's lore is disturbing, I MEAN IT.
  3. What with all the retroactive introductions? Also, you can go to university at the age of 17 up north o.O
  4. It's been a while since we last announced something! And it has been even longer since I did an announcement of my own! So yeah, with things finally settling down around Episode 1 (all the major issues are solved, and those who first started it have finished it by now), and quite a long way untill Ep 2, I thought it best to give you guys a little something to talk about. So without further ado, here is Xenova! Remember Pikrieg, and how I stated that guy was part of the "original trio" of Pokemon I had created for another project, five years ago? Welp, this is another member of said trio, and in fact, this is the very fist concept for a fakemon I ever came up with. You see, expanding more on what I just said would mean revealing details on this guy's evo(s), and that is against our policy for announcements, but... Let's just say that this idea here is so old, I had actually made a post in the old "create a Pokemon" topic, beore I even started this project. In fact, that very post allowed me to meet Zim, which in retrospect was the original root of Pokemon Se7en: how appropriate, then, that it would be Zim himself to help me refine the idea by introducing elements from no other than Alien (yes, I mean the Ridley Scott movie), and by helping me come up with a name! Anyway, this guy here is a pure Poison-type Pokemon, and its ability is Suction Cups. One or more of these characteristics may change upon evolution (feel free to speculate on this regard). Actually, the third and final member of the "original trio" will be available in Ep 2, while this guy will be found at a much later point... So why did we announce this and not that? Welp, because Zim had a vectorial artwork ready for this Oh and speaking of Zim: remember when I said that the things that form his "lore" are friggin' disturbing? Yeah, this is the one line that cramps up the disturbing level. Here, have a sketch of this thing doing horrific things to an innocent, defenseless Magikarp: With this I conclude my announcement. Feel free to pass time discussing this guy!
  5. Usually, when a boss becomes playable and joins your party, their power gets toned down, but this is not the case with Vanessa: she retains all of her uber-powerful spells she would kick your ass with in her boos fights... Except they are all of the Fire element. Now guess to which element EVERY SINGLE ENEMY IN THE FINAL FOUR CHAPTERS is immune...

hahaha... reminds of Vanilla World of Warcraft back in the days, when Molten Core (the first ever Raid) came out.

almost every mage was Fire-specialized for maximum damage... and then the whole raid was like immune or resistant to fire, and everyone had to re-spec to Frost xD

What pisses me off is that, in the first quarter of the game, your only Fire user is a melee fighter who has some weak spells for flavor, and you mostly meet enemies that are weak to Fire. Now that I have the goddess of Fire-element offense in my party, I only ever meet enemies immune to it <.<

  6. The usual problem with loving a game: I breezed through it, and now I am nearing the end... But I don't want it to be over ;-;

Yeah, Blanchette nailed it. NG+ is cool, and the game in question has good replay value... But this was my first playthrough. I've grown attached to it. Next time I play I'll know what to expect, so it won't be the same...

    3. Blanchette

just wonder, what game is it?

Luminous Arc, an isometric SRPG for Nintendo DS. A simple (design-wise and plot-wise, not difficulty-wise lol), yet very enjoyable game.

  7. To this day I am still awaiting the moment when a canon game goes out of its way to showcase just how ind-blowingly powerful the Unowns are when in large numbers. If the whole mess in Entei (I mean the movie) is any indication...
  8. There, all 20 layable characters of Luminous Arc recruited. Now to decide which ones I will actually use (only 8 can enter battle at any given time)...

Vanessa is hot AND kicks ass, but when you have 20 characters at your disposal, you inevitably end up making considerations concerning the various character archetypes. Like, you have heavy hitters, fragile speedsters, healers, supporters, rangers etc etc. Coming up with the most balanced team of 8 an be surprisingly difficult...

... Also because late-game boss battles really are unforgiving. While definitely not as grind-centric as Disgaea or as brutal as Tactics Ogre, this game IS difficult in its own right.

  9. Although Clovery would look cute with a Santa hat, so IMO you are better off just sticking to it
  10. Well, if you want to talk about ancient sea life, there is also Sharpedo. Sharks have been around, more or less unchanged, since before the dinosaurs...
  11. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/oususpecttest-299690976 Not only did I sacrifice Ttar in an overall easy match against a largely inferior opponent (I REALLY shouldn't have suffered losses in a match like this), I also used "Ignore Opponent" against what turned out to be a rather nice kid. Now I feel kinda bad
  12. I have reached that part of a SRPG I like the most: halfway through. When the characters start learning their best skills and getting more specific statlines to better fulfill their roles, so that you can start putting together your endgame team... But there is still a lot left in the plot to enjoy.

  13. Claydol and Sigilyph are both legacies of ancient civilizations, so they count too.
  14. Remember all the comments I would make about Vanessa being hot, and fighting against her being a joy as a result? Yeah, they are coming back to bite me hard, because the last boss battle with her is ridiculously difficult and I am kinda sorta stuck...

  15. VIsited the official site of Luminous Arc because I heard there was a personality test to take there (and I find those to be fun), and surprise surprise, they use Vanessa for the "welcome to the official website" screen. Maybe it's a coincidence, but she's the character with the biggest rack.

Lumious Arc? Boy, that gsme brings back some memories.

  16. This is also in canon games. Select "use" while in a patch of tall grass to instantly trigger an encounter (a Horde Encounter in Gen 6).
  17. The Ferro vs Hoopa situation is precisely why I suggested Protect on Ferro, btw
  18. WHY DO I KEEP FALLING ASLEEP AT THE WORST TIMES?

Nothing major, it's just that sometimes, in the middle of my day, when I am intent on doing all sorts of things... I suddenly fall asleep. And I just don't understand why this is happening.

You need more of that high-quality night sleep and some power nappies? Not to overwork yourself? xD

      MORE CAFFEINE!

  19. I have no memory of painters of the 18th century named "lagless"...
  20. So there are these two girls who are pushed closer and closer to one another by the events of the game. Their combination attack is called "Yuri Rondo". Such subtlety...

    1. Hiss13

      Hiss13

Meh. I've seen worse cases of "Subtlety? What's that?" when it comes to yuri. I'm looking at you, Kirika and Shirabe...

  21. A couple of mispredictions/sub-optimal plays here and there, but that aside, the team seems to be working nicely. If anything, I would suggest running Protect over T-Wave on Ferro: Protect helps you make the most of Leech Seed, while T-wave interferes with Gyro Ball...
  22. Tsk, Power Rangers. Prism Rangers is where it's at. Jokes aside, the team looks solid except Feraligatr. I just don't see a team like this creating that many openings for setting up... And even if you do create an opening, a single Dragon Dance won't be enough for Feraligatr to break through the countless defensive threats that dwell in OU nowadays. So yeah, if you like a Water-type set up sweeper in that spot, how about Belly Drum Azumarill? I will admit it won't win you any originality awards but hey, overused mons are overused for a damn good reason...
  23. Just so you know, the whole "is Lars a Mishima" thing is a Tekken (as in, the 3D fighting game) thing. As for me: I really am a 24 year old male o.O
  24. Your savefile is stored in an entirely different directory, so yes, just download and play the new version, and the savefile will be there.
