  1. Dat Emolga tho. It rekt everything. I don't have preference to how this gets resolved, so whatever's fine.
  2. Looks good to me. And actually... I may be able to fit you into this chapter after all. Is there any group you'd prefer for Alicia to end up with? (Assuming you've read enough to know them.)
  3. Hukuna Zeus shrugged. "Well, since you are now officially a member of Olympus, I figured that the invitation should extend to you as well. But you are correct, in a way. While we are there mostly so people can get a look at just who we are, we are also somewhat of an unofficial security team. While I wouldn't expect any mishaps at such an event, you can never be too careful when so many important members of government are gathered in one place, especially with the relatively new threat to be found in the Awakened. Beyond that, you could use this to get your name out there among the government. When people know who you are, it becomes a lot easier to get certain things done." He paused, looking as if he had just remembered something. "Speaking of names... perhaps you should think of a codename for yourself. As a member of Olympus, a name relating to the Greek gods could be appropriate, as seen in our prior trio. Perhaps Ichor, the blood of the gods? It would certainly reflect your ability well. The decision is completely yours, though. There is no need for urgency on the matter."
  4. Well, since Jory brought it up in the proposition thread, I suppose I might as well ask here. Do the rest of you still have legitimate interest in continuing this RP? Please give an honest answer. If so, I will be more than happy to continue, but if not, that is your own decision. I don't want to force you all to continue, but as long as there's any interest, I wouldn't want to take it away either.
  5. Anytime's fine, though the sooner you make it, the sooner I can check it and confirm it.
  6. rustytengo "So what exactlly will you need me to do, my power is not the best thing for groups after all? Also is there a shower room anywhere around here I probably should clean up a bit before going to a dinner and probably get some new clothes I been wearing the same thing for awhile now?" "You will be there as a backup plan," Cedric explained. If the both of you should be found out while searching, you should simply rearrange their memory so they forget all about it. Do not do anything more than necessary though. We are supposed to be an Organization for the people, as well as the Awakened." He took a glance at Lux as he said the last part. "As for the showers, you should be able to find them near the end of the hall by your rooms. There's plenty available, so you shouldn't have a problem with usage." Supernovae Zweiss nodded. "Excellent. I may send some reinforcements after you, just to be certain that nothing goes wrong. It will only be 2 or 3 members, nothing too significant. If there are no questions, then that is all. The day is left to you until your departure." Hukuna Zeus and Poseidon were waiting in the lobby when Viktor entered the building. "Hello, Viktor," Zeus began. "I suppose today will be your first look into what it is like being a part of Olympus. At times, it can be quite boring. But sometimes, things get rather eventful, and oftentimes dangerous." He motioned around the room. "We spend a lo of our time on standby, waiting for a call from BOA. If there is a particularly powerful or useful Awakened on the loose, they call us for help." He waved a hand dismissively. "But until then, we are mostly free. Of course, there are meetings and such we must attend periodically, as well as certain government events. I, for one, would like to personally invite you to such an event." He smiled. "The members of Olympus have been invited to a dinner party taking place tonight, a celebration of the new branch of government, BOA. It will be hosted by Mr. Taylor, a rather high-ranking individual, taking his place right under Ms. Archer herself. You could also consider it an informal celebration of Olympus, as we were formed around the same time. How about it?" Arkhidon Keaton was greeted in the halls by a whistling Hades. His eyes were closed a he meandered through, twirling a donut around his finger and apparently not paying much attention to anything but his song. It was a strange tune, one that Keaton couldn't recognize, and it sounded like random notes thrown together. He stopped walking as he reached Keaton, his whistling slowly fading away as well. He looked down at Keaton, almost as if surprised to see him. "Oh. Well hello again." He took a bite out of the donut, giving Keaton an inquisitive look. "...What are you doing here?"
  7. All right. Since it seems that everyone who is going to answer these has, let's move on. I suppose the Shardminds/Warforged are the next thing in question in this topic, so how about these questions: Should we add Shardminds as a race in the world? If so, should they be playable or unplayable? If unplayable, how common should they be, and will they be hostile to players? Should we change their backstory so that they were created by the mages of the past? If they are unplayable, should they be able to speak to players? Should we add the Warforged as a race in the world? If so, should they be playable or unplayable? If unplayable, how common should they be, and will they be hostile to players? Should we change their backstory so that they were created by the artificers of the past? If they are unplayable, should they be able to speak to players?
  8. Phantom followed behind Mr. Taylor as the man rushed out of the room. He was surprised and confused by the man's sudden change of heart, but he couldn't deny that he agreed with him. After they had put some distance between themselves and the room with the food. He stopped. He held out a hand, making a portal to the real world again. They were back in the halls, and he was sure that the place must be affecting Mr. Taylor by now. He himself was already beginning to feel uncomfortable here. He stood next to the portal and looked at Mr. Taylor. "Let us... rest..."
  9. Phantom folded his arms as he stood next to the man. He did not much feel hungry himself. Honestly, he couldn't even remember ever eating in this place. "Gluttony..." he thought. That was what Mr. Taylor had said this place was. He subconsciously put a hand down towards the hilt of his sword. He knew that they were still in his zone, and could stay for a short while more, but he couldn't help himself. Something just didn't feel right.
  10. I should be able to fit you in after we wrap up this chapter. Just a bit more.
  11. Tfw you pull Tirion from a pack. (My second legendary!) But more depressingly, tfw you see the orange outline and pull Cho... (My first legendary... ) On topic, I've been playing for a few months now, though I wouldn't consider myself to be high enough caliber to be any help to you. I mostly just play a Warlock deck I came up with that focuses on Void Terror. Obviously, it's very high-risk and wouldn't do well in high-level play, but it's fun as hell. If you get coin, you can end up with a 7/11 void terror and a 4/4 spider thing (the one from Nerubian egg, don't remember its name...) by turn 3. IGN is Fluxator#1279. I haven't been on in a while, but if you see me, I'll likely give you a match. (Don't expect much resistance. )
  12. "Is there anything we should know about the premise? surely its heavily guarded." Cedric sighed. "I can't say I know too much about the place myself, but I was told that a small group should be able to accomplish the task. Remember, this is the local authorities handling of a low-risk threat according to what I've been told, so you shouldn't encounter too much resistance before your speed can get you out of there. Still, don't drop your guard. Your safety is the most important thing in this mission." He paused, a guilty look coming upon his face. "I would accompany your group, rather than attend the dinner party if my ability allowed it. I can't help but feel a bit guilty that I can't be there for such a task."
  13. "Is there anything in particular we need to know about the guests? And what is our cover? I doubt two teenagers will be able to maintain any form of facade of independence long without an adult there to be our 'chaperone,' so to speak." Cedric gave an embarassed smile, placing his palm on his forehead in a "should have remembered" type gesture. "Ah, yes, how silly of me. Sometimes, it is easy to forget your age. If the invitation is not enough, simply tell them that you are relatives of Cedric Sterling, head of 'Sterling Insurance.' They should recognize the name from their mailing list, but if they still persist, the Bartender can vouch for you. I myself will make an appearance later, so I can get you in then, if need be, Reps of an insurance company won't attract much interest either, so you shouldn't have to worry about making much chit-chat."
  14. Well, I'm sorry to hear that... Hopefully, the slowness on my part did not attribute to this. If so, I apologize. On that note, we're finally back, and one step closer towards the action! I'm sorry for the extensively long wait, but thank you for being as patient as you could. Hopefully I'll be able to find the time to update this regularly now, despite school having started again. EDIT: Hukuna and Ark, your part will be posted up with the next set of replies. Strat, yours will be soon around that time, though it depends on how many posts there are until dinner party time. Sorry for the wait, but it's just a little but more.
  15. Jory, K_H, rustytengo, typhlosionrulez Cedric glanced up from his papers as the group entered the office. He gave Ace a look as he noticed the headphones, but said nothing. "Ah, good to see that you all got my note," he said, giving a friendly smile. "You're a bit earlier than expected, but it's the early bird that catches the worm, as they say." He cleared his throat as he took a glance at each of them. "I've called you all here for two reasons. The first of these reasons involves Lux and Beverly. As I explained to Lux before the rest of you arrived, the goal of your small party will be to attend a dinner party." He gave a sly smile. "Now obviously, you will be doing more than simply enjoying yourselves. The party will be hosted by a member of the governments newest branch, B.O.A." He paused, clasping his hands. "As far as we know, B.O.A. was created to handle all things Pillar related. They are in charge of finding the dangerous ones among us Awakened and incapacitating them. They likely have a division that investigates the Pillar itself. Whether or not that is true, I do not know for certain." He gave the two a meaningful look. "This is the kind of information I hope you can uncover at the dinner party. Undoubtedly, if any such information is kept at the house, it will be in a locked environment. That is why the Bartender will be accompanying the both of you. He'll be serving drinks at the party. Wait for his signal before you sneak away. He will follow behind when an opening arises. In the meantime, you will try to uncover whatever you can. Knowledge of the Pillar is important for us, as people and as Awakened. But first and foremost, be careful." He turned to Kenny and Ace. "The two of you will be on a different mission. I've received notice from a contact of mine that there is a person of interest being held by the authorities. The problem is confined to the local level for now, so we need to move before word reaches the government and it's too late. According to this contact, one of the Awakened was captured last night; a girl with control over fire. He believes that she may be interested in joining our cause if we can get her out of where she's being held. It's a risk, but I believe the reward to be worth it. We have no one with that sort of power thus far, and it could be immensely useful. My contact is apparently a rather high-ranking individual, and he promises that our "rescue" will be covered up if we succeed. The government cannot allow word of this to get out for fear of panic, and the captured Awakened is considered low-risk, so we should be in the clear once you get out. She is being held in a small facility on the outskirts of New York. Just... try not to cause too much damage." He paused, letting out a weary sigh. "I know this sounds like a big risk, but... I trust this contact. He's been nothing but a boon to us in the past." He looked over the entire group again. "Now... are there any questions?" ---------------------------------------------------- Supernovae Jude stood in front of Zweiss, who stood behind a desk in what appeared to be his office. There were no pictures, or anything else, really, that gave a clue as to any family members or loved ones. It was a bit unsettling in some ways. Zweiss walked around to the front of the desk as Jude entered, a calm expression on his face. "Jude... excellent. I've called you here for your first mission, of sorts." He paced across the room, hands clasped behind his back, his deep blue coat trailing just above the floor. "This is a recruitment mission, of sorts. However, it is more complicated than that... and I think you may find it a bit thrilling." He paused again, looking Jude in the eye. "Just on the outskirts of the city, there is a small containment facility. Apparently, there is a fellow Awakened being held there currently. A girl who wields pyrokinesis. The plan is simple: you go in, get the girl, and get out. It should be simple for someone with an ability like yours." He paused again, appearing to recede into his thoughts, perhaps struggling on a decision. He continued after a few moments. "After experiencing such a capture by ungifted humans, she is likely to bear some resentment towards them. Use this, and try to convince her to join us. Do not force her. A forced ally is of little use, and will only become an enemy and threat in the future." He motioned towards the door. "A car will arrive in the evening, around 5:00. It will take you where you need to go, and be waiting a few blocks down when you are finished. Any questions?" ----------------------------------------------- King Murdoc, Snap Crackle Pop, Chimchain Beetle looked at the others before rushing upstairs. Nexus was already seated at the table, as per usual. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't simply stand by while one of us is missing," he called out. "Nexus, I'm going out." Nexus simply nodded, the hood still obscuring his face. He held out a hand, a portal appearing by the wall. Beetle ran through, but the portal remained open. Nexus expected that at least some of the others would follow. He would simply wait for them to ready themselves and gather what they might think they needed.
  16. Except for the fact that he called swinging a wrecking ball "archeological work."

I forgot I have Spanish 4 this year too, but that's not so bad.

  18. I've added you to the list if that's all right. I think Kobolds could fit in pretty well, and Shardminds and the Warforged sound like they'd be perfect, though I'd have to read into them a bit. (Never heard of those until now.) As long as nobody has objections, they should be able to enter the world pretty easily. I like the ideas for how to work them in as well. Sounds good to me. Anyone else have thoughts?
  19. Can I still say that I'm still interested in this? Or am I too late? I read this way back when you posted it, but I forgot to reply...
  20. Yep, sorry... Now that Aervana finished chapter one and my new project is up and running, I should be able to get back to this. I'll start working on something and get it up as soon as I can. The posts here take a fair bit longer than in my other RP, so I've been trying to wrap that up first...
  21. Added. I've also moved the list of those involved to the OP as well. So now that we have a pretty decently sized group of brainstormers, I guess we can officially start on deciding things. As long as everyone is comfortable with the basic idea of the two continents, we'll skip past that. (Please speak up if you aren't.) We'll go more into deatil on them at a later point. So the first topic will be races. We'll start with these basic questions: 1. Are there any races currently listed as playable that you think dislike and do not want included? 2. Are there any races that are not playable that you think should be? 3. Do you have a race that you yourself created and think would fit into the world?
