  1. No 4U for WiiU unfortunately... 3DS exclusive. (Still don't know why...) And yeah, with an XL, you'll be out of luck with the CPP. The game does have camera controls on the touchpad, so I guess you'll just have to get used to using those. The target cam should help too. (It focuses the camera onto the monster any time you press L.)
  2. 3U, you say? That's the game I started on as well... and I have to say, from what I've played of 4U, I still like 3U a bit more. The environments are so much prettier... Plus WiiU HD, whoop whoop! But if you're getting it for 3DS, my advice would firstly be to get it for WiiU if at all possible. It's a MUCH better experience. (Not to say the 3DS version isn't amazing as well.) If you do get it for 3DS, my advice would be to buy a Circle Pad Pro. It's pretty much necessary to have a second joystick for this game, especially in the underwater areas. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot of advice to give beyond monster-specific info, and I don't know which ones you'll have trouble with. All the weapons are viable, so just pick what you feel most comfortable with. If you do run into trouble with something, just ask. There are very few things I haven't beaten in that game. Otherwise, I'd just say always keep a large stock of Mega Potions, Tranq Bombs, Nulberries, and traps. Make upgrading the farm to get honey a priority. It'll save you a lot of time.
  3. I used to love playing Hwaorang unti lthey changed his moveset so majorly. Though I must say, I never got a Chuck Norris impression from him. Something about him always just seemed so goofy, between his strange mouth movements, facial expressions, and the way he speaks. Your comment about Julia reminded me that I forgot about Michelle. She's my go-to tag partner for Lee in Tag tournament 2, and one of my favorite characters in general. I'm reeeeeally hoping she'll show up again in Tekken 7, though it seems unlikely to me.
  4. ...Am I doing this right?

  5. It used to be Paul in Tekken 4 because he looked cool with his hair down and was an easy character to pick up as I was just starting. I switched to Yoshimitsu in Tekken 5 because I love a guy with a sword, and his designs usually look cool as well. In Tekken 6 I switched again, to Jin this time. This was due to the fact that I was starting to look at the game in a more competitive manner, and I was beginning to learn that Yoshimitsu left much to be desired in terms of combo options. Jin was a character that I had been playing on the side since Tekken 4, so a switch to him was easy (And fun with the new combo options introduced in 6.) Finally, I shifted once more to Lee in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. I had been looking at Lee for a while at that point, though I had never actually put a lot of time in him until TTT2. I love his character and design, and he's got some sweet looking combos as well. He's also a character that takes a good amount of skill to play well, which is something I try to seek out. He's easily the character I've spent the most time practicing with, and I'm really happy with what he can do. I imagine I'll probably main Lee for a while to come.
  6. So I think this might become a regular thing at this rate. Smash gif of the day, featuring Project M today: https://gfycat.com/MeekFeminineCopepod

I love Marth, so I may be a bit biased towards his combos. He was my main back in the Melee days. Nothing more satisfying than landing that Ken combo. <3

  7. Ah, cool. Though unfortunately, I missed the deadline for the CDs. (I didn't know that Nintendo was going to put a deadline on them, or I would have bought the game sooner. ) I made it in time for Mewtwo though.
  8. Do those of us who bought both versions of Sm4sh and completed the Nintendo E-Club offer get Mewtwo for free? I'd imagine so, if he's going to be open to the general public (By paying). The only other option would be that only E-Club members get him, which would be pretty dumb for a fighting game.
  9. I use an HP Envy 17t, and personally, I find it to be the best laptop I've ever used anywhere. Here's a link to it on their site: http://store.hp.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/us/en/mdp/Laptops/envy-17-204073--1#!&TabName=features It's customizable, has a 5th gen i7 processor, the option to upgrade to an Nvidia GEForce graphics card, Beats Audio speakers, a one terrabyte hard drive, and 16GB RAM . It runs games and everything perfectly smooth at either high or highest graphics settings. (Dark Souls 2 for an example.) It's a bit on the expensive side, so I'm not sure how much you're willing to spend. (Mine was around $1000 customized after shipping and insuring it.) They also have the HP Omen, which is a step up from the Envy, though I personally think the Envy is a better option for its price. (The Omen starts at $1500 uncustomized and before shipping and insurance.) Anyway, I absolutely LOVE the HP Envy and would definitely recommend it.

  10. True Anemone from Valdis Story: Abyssal City. First, you have to deal enough damage to all three of its tentacles so that you can jump on them in order to reach the head. Then, when you're standing on the third tentacle, you have to jump and hit the head a bunch to try to break its shield. If you don't do it fast enough, the tentacles will regenerate and you'll get knocked off. Then, when you get about halfway, the other side of the stage turns into a crystal that heals Anemone, so you have to break that within the time limit too. (It heals Anemone for like 1/4 of its total health before you can even break it.) Once you break the shield around the head, you enter a short sequence where you basically play baseball with the orbs Anemone throw at you, sending them back to damage its actually health bar. (THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO ACTUALLY DAMAGE IT'S HEALTH. AND HALF THE TIME THE STUPID HEALING CRYSTAL HEALS MORE THAN YOU CAN EVEN TAKE OUT BY DOING THIS.) Once you've dealt the miniscule amount of damage the game allows from hitting back all the orbs (Assuming you even hit them all back) The shield around the head, the tentacles, and the healing crystal all respawn and you have to do it again. And again. And again. And again. And again. Also, the whole time that you're trying to break the shield around the head, Anemone's shooting all sorts of attacks at you in numbers and patterns like those of a vertical scrolling shooter game. Something like this: There's also a giant ice tornado covering the middle of the screen that freezes and damages you if you get caught in it. And when you're frozen, you can't really move, so it freezes you again. And again. And again. Until the miniscule knockback from it finally knocks you out of the tornado. And then there's the fact that if any of Anemone's projectiles hit you, they'll ALSO stun you for about 2 seconds, during which time you'll be pulled into the tornado and stunned and damaged again and again and again. Trust me when I say this is the most frustrating stupid and overpowered fight I've done in any video game.

  11. Upon further research, I have learned that Pikachu can QAC as long as he hits the very edge of those platforms. As a Pikachu main, I have some practicing to do now.
  12. I've gotta say, that one where Mario pushes Ganondorf across the stage was pretty sick. Also, I didn't think Pikachu could QAC on Battlefield? He did in this video though...
  13. So just a curious question for you all: If I were to post music that I feel fits the scene along with some of my updates in the RP, how many of you would actually listen to it as you read the scene? I'm wondering if you think it's worth it or not...
  14. Cerberus is the closest thing I can think of for shadow and flame... As for the RP itself, I'll have to give things a better read through before I'd decide whether to join or not. The concept is interesting from what I've skimmed though.
  15. So I'm playing my 19th game ever and get paired against a team that completely wrecks us. After the game, I look at the other team's profiles and seee that most of them have 100+ WINS. Dota matchmaking at its finest.

  17. I think the biggest problem with the world these days is the fact that it has problems.

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem.

  19. Just a heads up, I'm probably not going to post up Chapter 2 until I get a bit more feedback than one post... It really is important.
  20. I reeeeeaally want this game, but I'd have to buy a PS4 to play it... I'm a big fan of Dark Souls 2, and Bloodborne's setting looks awesome. Debating whether this game justifies buying an entire PS4 though...
  21. Offense taken. I'm practically a germophobe. On topic, I do know what it feels like to have stress and sadness in your life, though I can't relate directly to your situation. All I'll say is don't give up hope. You have years and years left to live, and that's plenty of time for things to get better. It seems horrible when it's happening, but things do get better. Then you'll look back and be so thankful that you didn't end things back then.
