Praise The Sun... and Moon - Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon
Masquerain replied to Godot's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
What I wanna see is, what's the champion that "is something else" , the facility you'd never believe, the waterfall flowing upwards, moondial.. many things implied from xy to be in alola , and most of all, I want to see a proper timeline connection because I believe the intro of alternate timelines messed things up and we don't really have a concrete set of things that allude to ORAS being before/same/after to XY (again, that posted timeline had pics of ORAS boxes while the text wrote RS so I'm sure they meant RS ) p.s. remembering that interview, it makes no sense because half the things they claim are influenced by what fans want don't make it back/don't ever see light in pokemon games... but it sure makes the pokemon future look bleak if we assume that pokemon games will forever be made with a crapload of handholding tailored to lazy f*cks who don't know how to enjoy a game without gettin everything handed to them -
Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?
Masquerain replied to ArmoredGuardian's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Pretty much my biggest issue with XYZ ... if you ignore the fact this form is pulled out of their asses in the first place but yeah.. This anime makes me dislike pokemon I used to like @pyrromanis Dno how I forgot that, but true. He still needs more ice types -

Sneasel evo line, Sneasel particularly regular ol' pic It was my favorite Pokemon back when I started playing the pokemon games with Crystal. Years later I started using its japanese name (Nyura) as a nickname in online games/mmos/whatnot and it just kinda became my signature Pokemon. It embodies qualities I like and/or would want to have. Its design is lovely and badass+ it resembles some little assassin. Shares a tie with Charmeleon for "spirit pokemon"

Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?
Masquerain replied to ArmoredGuardian's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
That's my greatest issue with XYZ . It's too frog-centric and in every ep you just see Ash overuse his bullsh*t frog and it either gets rekt and then syncros or ash collapses and his frog gets rekt. I'm glad that avalugg rekt the syncro frog without ash fainting. It gets annoying when they focus too much on one thing and kinda neglect the rest of the team. He might get Goodra on his team or might not, but to me it feels weird that he'd have 2 dragons on the team.. He also has 3 flying types but they all share a different 2nd typing. I always felt like they ditched Goodra to replace it with noivern for the dragon spot but who knows. I think Ash should get an ice type since I think the only ice type he ever had was glalie (don't remember others) .. but he usually also always has a grass type so, there's good enough reason to think he'll one way or another get a kalos grass type, i.e. as you said, skiddo (or maybe the phantump will make a return) .. but for grass his options are scarce. I'd want him to get an amaura or so. Maybe people think Goodra will rejoin the team because it's kinda late into the show and there's not enough to introduce an entirely new pokemon that is gonna train and become "good" enough for the league -
Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?
Masquerain replied to ArmoredGuardian's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Well it's not like the new anime comes out right when sunmoon does.. But anyway, we'll see how it goes. Can I ask where did you see the confirmation of Goodra returning? I know there's an episode where they go back to where it is but, is there a source that states that goodra is rejoining ash's team 100%? -
How complete is the game so far and is anyone still working on it?

Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?
Masquerain replied to ArmoredGuardian's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
If you look at it, Ash this season has 3 part flying types, 1 of which gets brutally rekt by ice and the other by rocks.. If goodra returns, he'll also have 2 dragons which is something that never happens.. I think ash always has type diversity on his team so I'm skeptical that goodra will rejoin him. Hell, with the prospect of the bullsh*t frog, maybe he really won't even need a 6th. well, scratch that, I think he had a bulba and chikorita on the team in johto, making it 2 grass types... not sure anymore -
Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?
Masquerain replied to ArmoredGuardian's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Sunmoon is like 6 months away, weekly episodes are fully capable of finishing the anime by then. And the shiny phantump was a bonnie-bonding episode so yeah.. If it's not goodra, idk what will be -
Pokemon XY and XY&Z. Did the Pokemon Anime get better?
Masquerain replied to ArmoredGuardian's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Don't forget kalos saga is at around 120 eps right now and it's still not even starting the league.. It may not get to 160 eps but it'll be close enough. Of course, the eps are more meaningful (subjectively anyway, for me the entire frog thing is utter bull- ) than previous seasons but the length is still there -

Masquerain replied to Godot's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
If you trace back other regions' mythologies, not all of them belong to the real world place they're based off of (hoenn and jewish myths/ unova and taoism) I personally think ancient things aren't out of place for Hawaii since the place itself harbours a lot of traditional, spiritual and ancient artefacts . I think hindu myths and beliefs could fit in this kind of place , especially since we're dealing with astrological signs that are known to represent the soul and spirit (if we really are going to delve into alchemy/azoth ritual as speculated, these concept fit even more) -

I think I was going more for a "symbolism" theorizing , cause yeah, they power up their signature move with that and with glowing eyes, we know that much. But could these symbols give us a hint to something about the lore of these legends maybe? That third eye especially is quite clearly a third eye (even if it can double as a moon) Tbh the moon bat looks like a pokemon version of Olympia but yea -

Every thread anywhere on the internet has a respectful spoiler policy so I think it's only natural. Some people may find it the easiest place to find out what sort of information was revealed without seeing the actual content (because on serebii or such, you'd simply directly see the info spoiled ). I think it's reasonable enough to put info in spoilers for people who don't want to see it On a random note, do you guys have any theories or know any videos discussing the forehead stuff on the legends' heads? Nvm the lion since its forehead thingy just looks like the sun logo but the moon bat.. That looks like a third eye/near full moon thingy. Could we be dealing with a hint of a hindu myth ? -
fangame Verdant Tales: Symphonic Horizon
Masquerain replied to Dylanrockin's topic in Fan-game Exposé
There's a point where things like sprites and artwork don't matter anymore. You have so many already, you don't have to go so far for these things. And you really deserve a kick in the face for even thinking that it'd EVER be okay to let something bad happen and be resolved with the fact that it'd please some clearly sick people :| That's not cool dood, seriously. F*ck whoever may be screwed enough in the head to be "out for you" . What the hell is that? Flip them a finger. And if your artists and spriters don't understand your situation, then well, there's something wrong with them too. I'll keep saying it over and over no matter how many times it takes- you're not alone here and you don't have to go to such extremes for something like that. Health is crucial and a priority above anything else. -

I also agree that new info should be put in spoilers from here on out. I would suggest something like maybe a format of delivering news to this thread For example: Maybe without spoiler tags, state the kind of info that was revealed without spoiling what it is and then provide the actual info in spoiler tags (also comment on it in spoiler tags) i.e. so today we got info on features/ legends/region/pokedex/typings -spoiler tag- info- spoiler tag- I think that allows people who are still waiting for only a certain type of info to see whether they want to click the spoiler or not. For example , if I'm waiting to see info on the starters, I'd be able to know info was revealed about them without actually spoiling myself with the info itself if I see some person write without spoiler tags "we got starters info" Does that even make sense? It made sense in my head, I swear But either way, it seems that final evos of starters (and typings) were only ever revealed before launch via leaks so there is not much hope for official news apart seeing the 2nd stage evos -

You park better have usable swings -
I also find this kind of thing to be the most logical way of inducing unnoticed sleep And also, Hypno isn't known to be super good competitively I think, so it fits the role more or less? (Lets not mention the fact that every time hypnosis is involved, drowzee and hypno are THE go-to pokemon to fit the role since like abra being famous for teleporting, these 2 are (in)famous for hypnosis)

Maybe Xerosic's pokemon were never his own from the start thus the crobat was already there but "stolen" ... But then again, if they were his own, he is evidently shown to have a soft side and to care for pokemon during the sidequests so maybe he did develop a bond with his golbat enough for it to evolve into a crobat. It's just that apparently Emma has this special aura about her that somehow makes pokemon instinctively feel that she's pure and has no place in the world of battling. I suppose just because pokemon were happier with Emma than with him, doesn't have to mean they weren't happy at all with him.. At least that's how I view it for it to make sense, who knows.. I mean, it was even shown that the genocide maniac Lysandre cared for pokemon enough to shed a tear that he "has" to annihilate them Either way, on the subject As already stated, Pokemon are indeed of great value to anyone who uses them. That value doesn't have to come from a bond of friendship or love, it can be merely beneficial value for power-hungry doods. In the end, value is value. I've always said that I wish to see the connection of humans and pokemon be more emphasized in pokemon games, like to see how they interact and coexist in a way that's more elaborate than randomly passing by npcs with pet pokemon or the occasional machoke helping you move stuff. I believe that kind of thing would be best portrayed via side quests or so..tbh I was quite happy to see that mini scene in XY with a npc that asks you if you have any pokemon that can fly or have psychic powers so you can help them get an item from a high place. With little things like this as side-quests, it would be way better. As for the anime, well it's overly emphasized there that you apparently can only bullshitbringout the superstamina potential of your pokemon with nakama powa and trust and the like. I mean, they go out of their way to show just -how- characters catch every single pokemon they own..and it's never merely throwing a ball at it because you saw it and liked it (maybe it used to be like that during the first seasons but yea). There's always an entire ep (or it gradually happens over many eps) that shows how the pokemon made its own choice to let Ash capture it. Going on that note, we arrive at the point where it's implied at least in the games that to capture a pokemon in a pokeball MIGHT mean that it's somehow being controlled (Xerosic and his pokeball virus indicate that you can put a bug in whatever pokeballs are and control the pokemon in them). That implication raises a bit of controversy in regards to trainers and pokemon and this is one reason why I really wish for Emma to be a recurring char. I found it interesting that she is able to form natural genuine bonds with pokemon without the need to capture them in pokeballs. So then, are we really enslaving a pokemon by capturing it? I mean, obviously, since some pokemon disobey you in battle, they still have some form of free will and they don't automatically like you, but they're captured by you, so in a sense, aren't they "forced" to gradually make a bond with you? I feel like these things could be expanded upon somewhere and would be nice to see but yeah, that's straying a bit off-topic I guess. Back on the value, in all technicality, if you can force-feed your pokemon proteins and all that jazz to raise their happiness, I suppose you don't really need to have a real bond of friendship with them, you can just "fool" them into it by stuffing them with treats (maybe villains do that, who knows?)
