I'm actually somebody who's really against the use of Patreon and supporting it as it is a bit different than crowd funding (which is something I remain neutral on), but I understand why some people have to do it just to actually live and survive doing what they love. Anyways, it sucks that Patreon has to raise their rates but as Patreon grows they need more funding to keep it running so I doubt this will be the last time they announce an increase. It sucks, but there's only so much you can do about it.

We haven't really talked about it much (mostly because I've been stacked with stuff for the next two weeks to get done before making a post for propositions on how to add new members) but it's basically up to the old ace members how we will go about it this time. The beta testing group isn't on the top priorities right now since that's still a few months away compared to a whole year's worth of members being screwed of the Ace Member privileges and should have had access to the nightclub by now. Just give us a month or two to hammer out a good system.

I definitely understand your opinion and respect it as that's what you think of the character. It's just a pet peeve when people throw a term around like it's nothing. Ironically you said the same thing about El before E16 iirc but that completely turned around due to some bit of lore. It's just hard to judge and analyze character fully for an unfinished game. As for the rest of the responses and stuff, I'm not really into getting into a heated argument of a video game. I'm not saying to agree with my thought as they are my thoughts. It's actually interesting that I really didn't care for the Reborn storyline until I created Hardcore where I've seen nearly every line of dialogue 2 or 3 times. Sure there are some moments I dreaded (like the El tower scene), but it made me appreciate the dialogue more. Also while we are on the topic of the poll, there is going to be a bias for Reborn due to being on the Reborn game section on the Reborn site, but with a roughly 90% voter turnout as of this post, I think we can all agree the general populace here thinks Reborn is a better game.

Reborn likes to slow itself down for the sake of exploration and often dumps small little tips and hints into the characters. Neither of them is particularly hard to follow as they often make the objectives rather clear except maybe when in E17's desert. I could break this down but more or less here's everything from the first to fourth gym badges in a nutshell: Reborn: You aren't always the strongest member in the group, but you are vital to many missions being successful. Rejuvenation: Nearly every single mission would have ended in failure if not for character intervention to make you feel weak. When you break down the story, Reborn is better and it shouldn't even be questionable at this point. The only thing that Rejuv really has on edge to Reborn (or did) is the more light hearted tone. Is Reborn an absolute masterpiece that people should follow? No, but if I brought up everything in Rejuv's plot that I played (basically I could compare Reborn's beginning to around Radomus/Luna to Rejuv's current stopping point). Hardy I'll give you, but somehow managed to pick characters with quite a bit of info and development onto them. Fern generally serves as a thorn in your side but if you see the extended Maison scene, you'd realize there's actually a bit more to him. Likely he'll develop even more in an episode or two. Cain is a character with a heart of gold behind those jokes as he was hellbent on helping Heather so she didn't go through the same suffering he had to (his parents got divorced and his mother despises the fact he is bi). Saphira is a rash and "hit first ask questions later" character, but she cares about protecting those important to her (hell she nearly keeled over nonstop watching over the city before passing out). Are they tropey? Yes. Is that all to their characters? No. I'm actually surprised Ame managed to get that much character into those characters with such a big cast. Sigh...people just throw the term Mary Sue around without knowing what the heck that word even means (and it's really lost it's meaning due to that). Mary Sue is often labeled as a wish fulfillment character and usually goes to the main protagonist as it often involves the characters around them and not the character themselves. Special, perfect, and faultless often are how other characters would treat her. Melia shows many characteristics of this early on in the game which is why I said she's possibly a Mary Sue. Either way it doesn't change the fact I think she's an awful character. Nice design, but she has so many writing sins. Then we get into Lin. Calling Lin a Mary Sue is just going to get a whole bunch of laughs from almost any writer who would read up on her. You'd have to label basically half the super villains in existence as Mary Sues. I guess I get to use Superman here who nowadays really isn't all that well liked as before. Basically Lyn is a very, very powerful trainer and character, but people are making so many assumptions about here when the game CLEARLY implies she isn't human. If a certain event in E17 actually surprised you, then you really have not read up on the story in years. Think of A-Ninetales kind of like Lin's Cryptonite. Yes it really hurt her Hyrdreigon but has anyone actually seen Superman killed by that piece of rock. Lin was just able to overpower and get rid of it (which some villains do overcome a huge weakness making them feel invincible afterwards). But if we are talking about tropes for Lin, mastermind easily fits the bill for her. She's quite powerful, but what makes her interesting is if she knows how so many people tick. Devon corp is a prime example of this making her just feel so intimidating without even battling. Solaris is powerful due to brute force yet Lin doesn't need to use a Pokemon to feel like a threat. Braniac or Darksied (ironically Superman villains) are pretty close to her in terms of character. We also know from her fragmented backstory that she's far from a faultless character yet we'll have to wait before it all lines up. I personally think Lin is well done and slowly growing to be one of my favorites, but I know a lot of people dislike the type of character she is. Understandable, but that doesn't mean you should go around and wave the Mary Sue flag. The key difference between the two is that Victoria is head strong but only gets in your way in non dangerous situation which you both are in very little sense of danger (she even knows that you are stronger than her by Apophyll but you were going to put stress on a traumatized little girl and fight a dying lady). Yes it is a bit annoying and she did get captured once. Aelita on the other hand charges off and nearly gets killed twice in a row due to acting rashly. Kind of a nice comparison is Victoria listening to Adrienn when she wanted revenge and eventually was willing to let it go compared to Narcissa where Aelita just lashes out not letting Narcissa get a word in. Similar characters, but Victoria is slightly more reasonable imo. And yes, people do complain about Victoria. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: LMAO I was so busy responding to people I never even said my own thoughts. When you compare the two, Reborn easily is superior just due to more time, effort, and man power put behind it on top of the levels of innovation and improvement placed into it. It's like comparing DQ to FF which the later almost always wins. They both accel at different ideas when they are different but imo Rejuv's biggest downfall is trying too much to be like Reborn. I really only ever praised it at times it was actually different and the quality shows.

Pokemon Reborn Redux [Mod][E18.71 Version Released]
Commander replied to Commander's topic in The Mod Market
Thank you guys for the continued support and don't worry about getting to anything right away. As for @Norm that is some very good feedback but to respond So something everyone should be aware of sooner or later are all non gym leader bosses have lost their niche of being full mono. While I'm not against it, I'm conflicted about this change as I always figured they kept their mono types simply because that's what they've been working towards, were ex leaders or substitute (Cal, Blake, Fern, Cain...and Victoria), or were centered around a type like Sigmund. I can't promise every boss will break their monotype in Redux (mostly because there's factors I care more about such as variety), but there is one thing I really want to get to speak upon: the rival starters. I won't beat around the bush in saying that Cain likely is going to have Muk due to Aya very, very likely using A Muk in one of her fights and regular Muk worked pretty well for Cain (let alone it makes sense he caught it in the nearby area). I'm going to edit it so that the event matches up with it, but I'm wondering if I should stick with the Unovan Starters for the Rivals like in the old days. The thing about the Alolan starters is that I actually have plans or a pretty good idea that all of them are going to be used for at least one boss (Decidueye is debatable) so these Pokemon would appear on two bosses. The Unovan starters I really don't see any bosses using in the game so far. I'm kind of wondering if you guys wouldn't mind me reverting their starters (aka their secondary aces) back to the Unovan mons for this reason or y'all are hellbent on that being consistent with the main game. Everything else about team changes will be case by case scenarios. Fern isn't getting Sandile yet as there's almost 0 benefit gained from it until its fully evolved where it gets very threatening. Ludicolo and Ferroseed more or less already help cover the a few grass weaknesses. It also wouldn't be able to evolve until post Shelly...when most player teams have more or less a team full of fully evolved mons. It's also way too early in the game to give him a Scyther and Rhydon kind of is a joke due to its weaknesses. -
I know it's not solving it per se but Ame has a bit of a pattern when designing puzzles which isn't too hard to pick up. Just study the shape. Eventually someone likely will make a guide video on it.

I can't speak as I have not tested it but I suggest making a new account to test it just in case. Maybe other people can confirm or deny.

[NOTE FROM STAFF: The creator of this mod is unable to update it anymore, and the current version has some known freezing/crashing issues. If you still want to play, go ahead, be advised that we can't help with technical issues that likely exist] Hello and welcome to my little page which is now the third page designed for this mod. I'm not sure if you are and oldie or newbie, but all are welcome here so long as they enjoy pain and suffer...I mean like playing vidja gamez. And here's the thing most of you came here for: Download Link 18.71 Bug Fixes and implementation Bugfixes (E18.6) Changelog What is Pokemon Reborn Redux? Pokemon Reborn Redux is a mod that is designed with the intention of mixing the old and the new with Reborn along with some other various features to make what people generally consider a harder version of Reborn. Back in the old days, Reborn leaders didn't have field effects and team cores was the primary focus in which teams consisted of strategies and counters. Combine this with field effects and you have some very interesting leaders and difficulty. What are some feature included in Redux? Level Limiter: Remember how annoying it is when a Pokemon overlevels and disobeys you? Well you won't have that problem with that as once a Pokemon hits the level cap for that given leader, they will no longer gain any experience. It's basically just like if they were at level 100 so no need to worry about EV problems either. TM Breeding: Due to the popular feature removed in E12, it was brought back as a mechanic in Redux. Basically, you can transfer TM moves onto baby Pokemon if you're really into maximizing your mons. Multiple fights for each leader: Every leader carries more than one team. Some are more difficult than others. You'll have to see for yourself what leaders pack and may find yourself struggling even. A Party System: While still in the works, you can recruit trainers into your group and carry around multiple teams. Some trainers may even interact with them. I do have a few surprises in store for this feature but I'll remain mute for the time being until they are fleshed out and fully implemented. Many Altered Events and Dialogue: Many changes have been made to this game including new event mons added earlier into the game, characters gaining more important roles, and even some main story scenes being altered due to a team change. It helps making a second journey into Reborn seem a little bit more fresh. A Story Synopsis: Have you ever put down a game and wonder what the heck you were doing and have nowhere to go. Never fear! This little handy menu feature gives you an update on your adventure whenever something big happens. Though...it seems our protag may be using it as a stress relief activity. There's also a field effect guide text found within the game in case you wanted to know about that. And yes, it is updated to the current episode with all those changes. Pokemon Reborn Hardcore [Mod][Discontinued]
Commander replied to Commander's topic in The Mod Market
._. I really don't think adding another gen would make me have more interest into Pokemon. I will say it is interesting some things that they added in USUM like what they did to Lusamine's character. Seriously went a 180 there which really surprised me. Reborn will be done before Gen 8 as E10.5-E16 were Gen VI. That's 7 episodes and only 2 remain after that. Reborn likely won't move to Gen 8. Even normal players hated Serra's field based haxing. With Gen VII changes, her field got really changed around so she doesn't hit as hard but the haxing thing didn't disappear. I can't release the doc yet but I did fully update the field text if anyone ever wants to check a field there. I know HC has been dead for a while, but it does make me smile that it still has gotten support instead of just flat out disappear from existence. I'm not even going to sugar coat that I figured this mod would disappear from existence and forgotten about by now as most really do. Also, I hope y'all enjoyed my little present. -
I don't know if you all know this but during season 2 of the league, Amaria was the reigning champion so it's very possible that she's the last leader we'd even face before going to the E4 which does make sense because she is the wild card. Hardy also oddly enough did hit champion block, but this was after the main overall storyline was planned for Reborn.

.....uhhh.......the only difference between the PBS files beforehand was that Ame didn't have a download page. Quite a number of users had previous PBS files like E15's even. Secondly, Reborn uses a different format than essentials, but Marcello made a z move script built for the current essentials if that's what you're looking for. Anyways, Reborn has always been open sourced to modding so it's very unlikely that you can't obtain the PBS files if you really need them. And not to be a tease, but I have the PBS file you are looking for on my desktop. I don't know if Ame will have a specific download link this time, but most likely.

Btw about the TM breeding. The coding is actually still there in the scripts and with RPGmaker all you'd to do is simply remove the commenting (the #'s) and it'd function normally.

As long as he didn't disable it you should be able to. Anything Reborn related is connected to one online server and trade service. My only worry was that changing the name could cause an error but it didn't which is why I didn't disable it. Though I did ask Ame about the party system with online compatibility as it does change your overall appearance online. During the beta testing, I had the other person report what they were seeing and they stated they saw Shelly's sprite. Trainer titles however did not appear properly interesting enough and always said Pokemon Trainer. I actually debated making a mod purely so that you could use a different sprite appearing online. It'd be very, very tedious but a really nice mod.

@Arnab Fouzder Hardcore runs on the Reborn Trade System so you could trade to ANY reborn user which is why the ban list is the same despite something being available. Think of it as a safety to prevent an unfair advantage. The thing is that it has to be the latest version to work (which only the CoM version is) otherwise it'd get an error.

@Zarc I think I was a little too subtle there which makes me laugh due to one of your responses. I know there's the whole Pokemon Extreme mode but I doubt it could replace Hardcore due to being a different idea in design. I mean once the final episode hits around (and yes I'll still be around), I'd at least port everything over to the final version so that people can still play with everything so you don't have to worry about that.

First, thank you for playing the mod. Secondly, the issue with the term hardcore is that I took over the project with a different vision in which I actually debated changing the name to Veteran mode but simply kept the name to avoid confusion. As for the bosses themselves, they are always a work in progress because rarely do I hit the difficulty just right on first attempts. It also can be based on your team as I've actually had every single gym leader range from one of the hardest to one of the easiest except for Serra and Luna. Each release I tend to focus on a leader to try and buff and/or change them to improve them. I do appreciate the feedback, but I can't promise every fight will be super hard or intense for every, but I do try my best. With the new systems in place though, evening out the difficulty won't be as much of a problem as it was on top of the fact I decided to break some rules. There's something I could say in addition but that would be an E17 spoiler. Tis a shame Hardcore is being discontinued though... Makes you wonder why I still acknowledge and take feedback... I guess I'm just a really nice guy ^_^

Now that I got some free time, I'm actually going to respond to some of this discussion especially because there's a couple things that should be addressed. I think a point to bring up is that while we can never answer the question truly, some of us have been around long enough to get a general idea when someone should check back to see progress. "I don't know" is always a terrible answer. The previous few episodes due to the huge level of quality improvement have taken roughly 8 months to a year. That is a very, very good answer to give someone as it gives them a time estimate instead of forcing them to check daily to see progress. Ame also said she plans to make more updates about the progress of the episode so you could also link them to that so they can personally keep track if they wanted. (I really only do it to see what Ame says tbh). Sometimes there's hiccups causing delays which you could also tell the person asking (and if they don't like your answer or hate waiting that's on them as Reborn has thousands of other more patient people supporting it). Remember, it's not just the person asking you're answering to as lurkers exist for a reason. Here's just a few ways you could answer it: "I'm a bit new here so I don't know how long it takes, but apparently from other users it seems like it takes quite a while. Ame keeps a dev blog you can follow to see the progress here [hyperlink]. This can also be found by clicking on the Pokemon Reborn tab at the top and selecting the dev blog." -Someone could also make a useful site tools and features thread people could link now that I'm thinking about it. "I can't say for sure but since progress has been going I'd assume it would only be finished around August-October at the earliest, but that's just a wild guess at this point. You can keep track of it yourself in the Dev Blog." "I know it sucks but it takes a very long time to make a very good game so just gotta man up and wait it out. Generally I play other games to pass the time and it makes waiting so much easier. If you really like Reborn, there are some sister fan-games called Pokemon Rejuvenation and Pokemon Desolation found in the Developing Games area. If you want to stick with Reborn, there are some mods you can try that are found in the mod market here [insert link to page]. I heard Hardcore is a great mod and you should try it." "I have no idea how you discovered my codename, but I must not leave this room until I put on these shades. ...But I have heard rumors of a mysterious, yet cynical creation called Pokemon Reborn that I've been keeping tabs on. Seems that there's been public leaks of info found here [link to the dev blog] Agent E18 aka The Plumber" I'm not actually here to poke fun of you're glorious response which you're probably embarrassed enough about, but you unintentionally brought up a very good point by doing this. Something a lot of people don't do is read things fully or often just skim them so information can be so easily missed. It's actually why I tend to repeat or recap a few things at the end of something so that people don't miss a major point I was trying to make. Hell, I don't even fully reread the posts I make. Point is that users can often miss stuff which ends up having them ask an obvious with an obvious answer that's easy to find. As someone who used to write novels for a hobby, it's kind of ironic when I say "People don't read" but it's kind of true. Can't always blame people as you don't want to spend an hour reading or finding something for an answer when asking is much easier. Would you rather spend 10 minutes having someone answer a question or spend an hour trying to find it yourself? I think the answer is pretty clear for what the common man shall do. Well to be honest, I actually felt this episode overall felt more like a drag than E16 in the run simply due to the dev blog being moved to a new section which is finicky and hard to find (let along I get logged out in that area for some reason and can't respond) but the bigger thing was the lack of a whole E17 discussion thread. It was kind of, for lack of a better term, a garbage dump of information and discussion in which all kinds of people entered the discussion and not just Ame or a single auth. I think the page dedicated to updates and progress was a fine idea but now the only real effective way to talk about the episode is on Discord. Sure people can make threads but that's only for a specific topic instead of a talk about anything area. Other than an easy to find post with hotkey links, I really don't think you need to do much other than to just occasionally be vocal to let people know you're still working on the game and it is alive. There doesn't need to be anything specific, but maybe give an update if any hurdles come about. A lot of us were really left in the dark about the long Alpha Stage delay and had no idea what was going on. I kind of would have liked to know about the sheer number of critical bugs that arose (even some specific example...that aren't spoilery) as it's a very understandable delay. Also, I'm still against the percentage bar, but I know that isn't going away. Correlation does not equal causation. I would say that rude vets are a source of the decrease in newer members but I don't feel that is the root of the problem. The biggest reason for the decrease is that the site is centered around the game when the game rarely ever gets updated. That is an issue that cannot and should not be addressed to help the community grow because when the game updates, the updates are now really, really, really good and leaps of improvements. The decrease in forum activity also is a cause for lesser members, but again, no single person can control that and the only thing older members can do is try to make a post each day (you don't need to make essays like I do). After Reborn is completed the new member count likely will come to a crawl which again can't be helped. Being mean or aggressive isn't helping the issue though, but being nice and friendly will. Reborn was regarded for it's really nice and friendly niche community over the fan-game at one point. Heck, the fan-game was kind of a side thing even. On a different note, things will pick up again with the community release so it's probably good this was addressed before that release instead of during. The first point is self explanatory and not giving one avoids a false promise (especially because it is so easy to underestimate the time it takes to finish something) The second point I'd change insight with stuff to do... The third point I disagree with but definitely understand where you're coming from. There really needs to be a better reference to explain testing phases but it kind of really changed drastically (basically the community phase is now the beta phase in terms of duration...but likely alpha and beta testing will take two weeks next time...no promises though) The fourth point is spot on this release as this eclipses the other episodes in terms of duration for testing phases. Something Beta Testers ie Ace Members aren't supposed to do is talk about the new episode at all and especially avoid teasing. You could lose your ace membership for leaking info. We've got a lot of people sitting around wondering what the heck is going on while we have people who know the answer, but technically aren't supposed to say anything who could easily answer it. A few of us have answered what's going on a few times just to calm people down and give an explanation. This episode has a ton of errors due to the revamping of the AI and the new seed system some which are critical and need addressed. One of which is trying to fix when the opponent randomly does nothing. I've heard stories that the Alpha was much, much worse. A few of us have answered this on discord a couple of times but not on the forums. Kind of hard to make a topic about E17 content when you're a beta tester and you aren't supposed to do that. I'm sure these phases are all going to last 3 weeks for E18 so I suppose it should kind of be addressed better when we get there. I really, really think Ame should have made an additional dev blog update as she did kind of say each phase would only last a week. Too late for that now because the Beta more or less should be wrapping up soon. Don't burn me at the stake if it still take 2 or 3 more weeks I've been here for 4 years and even if you make the answer so obvious in big letter so that people can see it instantly, people will still ask about the episode progress. You can't actually eliminate it and the question is asked literally everyone including fan translations for games. Trying to do that is like trying to prevent your hair from turning gray or falling off if you get older. Besides, it's not you're game so why are you so bothered by it? Not like you have any control over it unless you take Ame hostage and demand to be released from the Reborn Asylum. Just ignore them if it bothers you so much. I do it all the time (I really only visit the Reborn game section like every other week). Stop playing extremist and get over it. It's not a very comforting feeling knowing that users want newbies to shut up for asking questions they heard many times in a newbies perspective. Maybe it's just that you haven't ventured outside of the Reborn haven, but this is not an unusual question to ask. Amethyst actually updates way, way more frequently than some of the games I'm following. Speaking of which...I should look to see what's going on with that Mother 4 game. Yep, it's still alive. Anyways, sometimes people ask to find out about it's progress and if it gets canceled. Very few projects ever make it to the end and rarely even reach the level of Reborn. It's something to really hold your head high on. Other times people are naive or new to computers. Think of it like your grandma learning how to use Windows 10. You just don't know what's going on through that person's head when they're asking. Besides Ame's point is about the one person who doesn't understand the obvious. Sure maybe it's only 1 of every 10 who ask, but maybe it's worth taking the chance on all 10 to find the one. So basically...you'd be doing what you've done for E16 then. Joking aside, I'm sure sure there's ways to help pass the time better over the long waiting period. I've got a couple things on my to do list to help pass the time but at least it's something to keep fans looking forward to. We've actually only ever had one thread regarding the veteran's changing attitude on things but honestly I think it was always there at least for the past two years I've been around. It's just most stuff happened in the nightclub to release or vent but...the nightclub kind of is now dead due to a bad decision on handling ace membership. Also being around a community for 4 or more years is a very, very, very long time and it does take its toll. We definitely could go into a deep discussion but I'll just cut straight to the point: Old Reborn felt more accepting but most content was short lacking posts and generally a lot of facades outside of the nightclub. Chat was usually a bit more honest, but the big thing was more active members and it was very lively. Newer Reborn is very, very slow compared to the peaks of the league, but interesting enough I feel discussions are a lot deeper and people usually are just more honest. Activity is down but quality is up. Hell, I'd argue the maturity level is actually up. Funny how looking at the big picture things aren't as much different as I thought they were. I guess maybe that kind of shows that maybe somebody else isn't the problem but you are the problem (and by that I mean ourselves). As for patience, I think the best way to accomplish it is to simply not think about it and do other things. Maybe not check the dev blog as much and only check it once a month if it bothers you so much...or just not at all. That was ye old fashion way in ye olden days. I was so good at this that E14 came out of nowhere for me. I don't actually agree with this statement. If the auth were really against it, they would have stopped it a long, long time ago instead of letting it run for at least 4 years (probably 5 for all I know). It's more about a respect rule and also this joke went from rather harmless to basically only bringing harm and no humor to the table. There are now chains of discussion about it and people feel the need to explain it now in worries that someone might get offended. Nobody's ever got warning points for it and I doubt anyone will for making it, but this is more to address the issue so that we all can tone it back. Think of this as a self-reflection instead of pointing the finger at anyone. I...can tell I'm tired. Probably repeated some stuff said but repetition ain't a bad thing. One thing I really didn't post anywhere is that who gives a damn that so-and-so is being an ass. One person being a butthead ain't gonna turn away a user from a site for good. This ain't about converting demons into saints or going on a witch hunt. If you're thinking about all the users who have been aggressive lately, just don't think about them. Only they can stop themselves from acting that way. Trying to force them to change is just going to make the matter worse. We've all done a wrong in the past and probably said or done something we shouldn't. If you're willing to accept that and the fact that you can be wrong, it's a good start. Simply making people feel welcome is the best you can do from there. I'm not one to really talk about myself or put myself in the spotlight, but I can't ignore the fact that I'm a very well known user around here especially after creating Hardcore. The things I say and do have an affect on the community whether or not I like it. If I'm an ass, there's a chance people would follow my pattern. Funny that I'm looking at a comment I made yesterday seeing how I went from an okay response to a pretty rude one. If I actually had been nicer, the additional responses could have been completely different. If the second or third responders either called me out or tried to shift the tone, the whole topic could have shifted as well. Am I the cause of the topic turning negative? Most likely. Am I one to blame for the whole thing? No, because someone else could have easily stopped it. A commander has no power without his subordinates....no pun intended. And just another piece of advice, I rarely really mean much from what I say (usually I don't even remember half the things I said) but don't go the other way and focus on calling me out either and drive the topic to that. If you have to respond to it, just be subtle like "I don't agree with [insert username here]'s tone, he did bring up an interesting point about [insert topic of interest here], but I only slighty agree due to...[you get the idea]". The thing you don't want to do is say "Just ignore [User] as he's a stuck up elitist." All that's gonna do is piss the user off. Can't say you won't avoid pissing off everyone using that example, but as I said many times to be afraid to call me out should I do it at least. Also, I don't go after people so don't worry about that either. The thing about elitists ie older members is that they are on equal footing with every member, but we gained a few benefits from being a member of this community for a long time. Ace members hold no more power than any other member so don't view it as such.

E17 Obtainable Pokemon List Changes [Potential Spoilers?]
Commander replied to Endstrom's topic in Reborn City
Y'all disappoint me with the Scizor discussion. The reason Scizor isn't available yet is because it is the second strongest non legendary/pseudo mon in the game and it is even stronger than many pseudos. It's easy for a player to counter due to its weakness to fire but not every opponent carries a fire move which is the only thing it can't handle. It learns Swords Dance and BP naturally. Scyther on the other hand isn't broken levels and still quite good which kind of sucks since it's a fun mon to use. Scizor literally can take down anything that isn't fire with ease which is likely why it will be in one of the last areas of the game. I know as I've played with one a bit. I'm pretty sure the Scizor, Serperior, Greninja, and Blaziken lines will be the last mons we will obtain through events. Yes, I think we'll get Dragonite, Hydreigon, and Tyranitar before them. -
Ho boy this topic. I'm not going to beat around the bush in saying that I'm not part of the problem. Something I do a bit out of habit is poke fun of when people make either outrageous suggestions or write something which is a bit more of an aggressive or demanding tone. Most of the time I'm not serious at all (seriously, it's not too hard to tell the difference) but I suppose I could see how this could be taken as very offensive to newer users. I'll probably dial it back to a more friendly version (unless I know the person has been around for a while). Simple questions don't bother me as I've seen dozens of times people ask the same question with the best being the search bar confusion. Now the thing about the whole "Episode XX is now delayed a week" I never ever found that funny. Yeah I did make that Fern Pic but that was out of a discussion and mostly for a quick laugh like most shitposts are which of course are very obviously a joke compared to this saying. The first time I saw that, I actually believed it which made me go "wow, that is kind of cruel for a dev to do". In fact, I feel it is more annoying seeing that joke used 5-6 times every single instance it's asked and then the user is confused and then people have to explain it so they understand. It would be so much easier just to not do it, but I know y'all want to have a little fun so I have a solution that will answer the question, but in a more positive less confusing manner:

I think it's safe to leak this information to inform people on rather or not they want to restart for E17. I'm mostly doing this for the spam of topics about this which I already can sense coming. Here's kind of the rundown: Changes to past areas: -nearly all random trainers recieved revamped teams adding to a larger array of variety among the trainers -event Pokemon have been changed, added, or moved around, in order to compensate for the Gen VII inclusion -The Mystery Egg also changed some of the mons gained from it -Nearly all of the bosses recieved one or two significant changes in order to increase their difficulty or adjust their theme -Some of these use the new Seed Mechanic Ame added -Two bosses changed their aces -The AI has been completely revamped in order to perform overall better -While not complete, the AI now takes the fields into consideration when choosing moves -Weather has now been fixed and can be manipulated to change (works in any area and not just Opal Ward now) -Money System has been fixed leaving money to be scarce early on -Certain previous items were changed and replaced Considerations for the E17 new areas: -Depending on a choice(s) earlier in the story, it is possible to lock yourself out of half the content of the episode -All areas are still completely explorable and do not lock access to any event mons -There is an excessive need for Repels and a very, very high leveled Pokemon for exploration (I burned through 150 Max Repels exploring the entire area) That's basically all I can unveil without spoiling anything (Ame did say most of these thing already). It's mostly an exploration episode so you probably could burn through the main story segment in 3-6 hours (1 hour if you know what you're doing) so maybe catch up on your old save first before restarting the game because knowing how the Desert works and operates will save you a ton of time on subsequent playthroughs. As for whether or not I think people should restart their save, it really grinds down to when you last restarted. Each episode from XI onward piled on new content and changes to improve the game. If you haven't played a new save prior to the XIV version, I definitely recommend restarting to see the massive number of changes. If you are a XV-XVI version player, I'd say hold off until E18 or E19 to avoid burnout as there's a very high chance most of the game will be explorable (E19 will be the final release). It's very justified to restart this episode, but I probably won't restart until E19 personally, but it's just a matter of opinion.

Can someone do me a rpgxmaker favor for this game?
Commander replied to CheckMe10531's topic in Reborn City
I'm like looking at this post for a few minutes kind of in disbelief about what you just said. First off, this is not some tiny little change as it takes time and effort to find and rewrite the exp lines in RPGmaker (as one would need to replace many of the lines for shared exp with a new variable based on a key item switch function) which also would need to be tested to see if it properly worked. That's an awful lot for a single person. The bigger thing here is that you really don't need to grind and the areas to grind only take like 10 minutes to catch a single Pokemon up if you know what you're doing. I've gone into leaders (including the E17 beta) with mons 20 levels below a gym leaders and was able to defeat them just fine. Really now all I see is a user complaining that the game is too hard and that they can't tolerate difficulty that actually requires thinking. In fact, you actually can defeat Reborn just using Mons that are caught before the first gym leader. So excuse the cliche meme but... -
So with the new Animal Crossing Mobile app just released, I figured it wouldn't hurt to make a topic about it. Anyways, I can't say I'm super impressed by it but it's a pretty fun little game to pass the time (Probably will spend more time on Tales of the Rays and FE Heroes still) but if anyone wants to join in the fun or have people added, I can add you to the list here though I'll probably only update this weekly.
