  1. wait people are really upset with the ahri changes??? no longer having to depend on charm to burst a target is actually a huge benefit because she has a strength beside her now and jesus christ does she go fast with that Q, plus the foxfire changes actually make csing quite a bit easier not to mention speeds up her dps a bit even aside from the numbers increase i mean NOW she's going to get nerfed and i will cry but in the mean time i'll be over here spamming ahri what do you mean permaban status again :c
  2. i cry. that's what happens.
  3. The tragedy of 3D technology is a desperate lack of canon sprites for newer Pokemon and form changes. Senior members of the community might remember the long period between Episodes 9 and the 9.5 release (I, personally, do not remember it; I blacked it out as a trauma coping mechanism a long time ago). As it turns out, with a new batch of Megas, it's been the same story now. I've been putting ORAS Mega sprites, along with a few outstanding etceteras we were missing such as this gen's event legendaries, basically since Episode 14 release. Yes, it's taken that long. No, I'm not okay. But as of today, I'm glad to say, YES, WE ARE DONE WITH THEM. If I'm to be perfectly honest, I've done almost nothing else for the past month and a half besides work on these damn things. E15 may as well not be started at all, because these have taken so much time. Now that they're set, I'm finally free to move onto bigger and better things-- you know, like, making the actual game. Crazy, right? That said, I don't have nothing to show for it at this point. Check out the videos below for a very very sped-up version of what the process of making these things looks like, using two different examples. ...back sprites aren't as exciting, but I didn't think about making demonstrations until after I had finished all the fronts. ("oops"). That might be a good thing anyway since, on average, back-sprites tend to be a reliable 5x easier than fronts because they're generally less detailed, and we can use the silhouette-flip trick as shown in the first video. Nonetheless. With this out of the way, I can actually start making some progress on 14.5, and hopefully we can get it to you guys before too long. In the mean time, hang onto a few of the sprites I've been working on over the past forever.
  4. ahri buffs akali nerfs jungle nidalee this is a good patch too bad i never play this game anymore oops
  5. I don't think I'm going to go -that- crazy, but the free-use teleport Tauros doesn't sound like a terrible idea. Maybe one that takes you from the open area with Fern's sign to the Nature Center, and then one from the Grand Gates to that sign. There is. Noted. She says and thinks so but there is the possibility that she is bad and wrong. It's a bit tricky; basically what I did was I cut away some subtle lines of tall grass, so if I didn't muk up the player should be able to just slip through in a few deceptive-looking places. However if we go with the above idea, that won't be necessary anyway.
  6. Aah, so that's who you are. I track the pokemon reborn tag on tumblr and I believe I've seen a few of your posts. Glad to see you join up with us, and welcome!
  7. I actually happened to run into a T-shirt print shop when I was out yesterday by complete accident. So I guess that was somewhat serendipitous. I might poke around with some pricing options there + online at various places and see exactly what kind of numbers I would need to make selling Reborn merch' (other designs) or such things an option.
  8. A little late, but why don't we put that Player List into its own thread... this one's fairly cluttered as is, and that will want to be updated frequently enough to be worth it.
  9. Yeah, you guys are fine. Both of you know what you're doing and have the access; I'll trust your decisions. It will be worth making distinct pages on the website for Mac instructions, Getting Started instructions, and possibly sectioning out the game FAQ into two pages, one for general game questions and one for common error messages, a la corrupt save messages, RGSS stopped working, script hanging, etc. We mostly see the same things a lot. I've wanted to do these things for a while and (naturally) haven't gotten around to it
  10. Yeah, we're keeping this one. Welcome!
  11. Or.. maybe it's more like evolution? Idk. In the most unsurprising announcement we've had in months, we've got a couple promotions... First up is Jericho, taking on a Global Moderating position! He's been allll over the PR forums helping out newcomers and veterans alike, and quite frankly the auth are tired of him dragging topics by the barrel into the Report Center... just kidding, of course! But he's been a huge help all over the place, and no doubt he'll continue to be. Secondly is Blind Guardian with his apparently bi-monthly promotion! Blind is stepping up as a Leader on the showdown server and will be continuing to help me out with other tasks around the site. He has already been a tremendous help to both myself and the rest of the community, including getting newcomers acclimated to our rules, to starting and managing a project with a number of the other auth and users, and everything in between, and he shows no signs of slowing now. On that note, the said project is taking place in the Onyx Trainer School forum, where a host of users have been hard at work producing a bunch of articles for everyone to read. If you haven't already, and you think competitive battling might be your thing, mosey on down there and have a read! That aside, congratulations to these two, and to you both, a personal 'thank you' from me. As a final note, we are expecting to get our Showdown URL/registration back in Febuary... soon... so soon......... so hang tight with that!
  12. These are neat. How do you go about actually getting them on the shirt? I was under the impression one had to go through a set t-shirt printing company or... -something-, like that.
  13. all mention of ships conflicting with ametrine is here by banned under punishment of death <3
  14. Relocated from the SD thread from Kurotsune: To clarify with the second question, the choice is a matter of balancing player selection vs story strength. More choices comes at the cost of a less developed story. Better story comes at the cost of less choice. I would consider Reborn a balance between the two options.
  15. hold thaaaat thought this is a different topic entirely.
  16. Respect is the first rule of this community, and while I appreciate your push for a more gentle tone in the opening post, I think it's important to lead by example. If you want someone else to be more respectful, then demonstrate that for them. Honestly I took the over-drama of the post as a joke, but maybe that's not the case. Either way, I can understand the disappointment coming from one of someone's favorite songs being replaced, and I'm not going to be unsympathetic to it.
  17. this was a joke in the first place to disrespect my vehement suggestion to not make this topic every single person here, especially myself, has been bamboozled.
  18. heh. i dont even remember doing this, but i probably did because this was my feeling on the old music too granted it could be more... professionally? ...phrased, it's a valid feedback. please be respectful. if people really feel strongly about it, i'm open to someone making a poll to see which more people like better, or alternative suggestions from glitch.
  19. GOD BLESS, IRELIA NEEDED IT SO BADLY.
  20. I mean, remember that the characters are all based on the leaders from our online league, so...
  21. It is entirely original. The forum will adopt a -slightly- different name, but we will always be Reborn. Reborn will have my almost-full attention long enough for me to get the story and post-game finished and stable. After that I plan to continue occasional minor bug-fix updates, as well as open the floor up for user translations and mod downloads. You shut your whore mouth! D: We have had this discussion many times already! Vacation's where I wanna be, party on the beach where the fun is free~ ...Just kidding, I'm super impatient to start on this game, I don't wanna waste time! Knight of Lodis is a very strong contender for my favorite GBA game. It hella counts.
  22. I adore Kanji's Shadow fight. I think Cain has been around longer than I've known about that game though, but I guess they're both kind of out there? tbh the shadow is way stereotypically-gay-er than Cain is... 'specially since he's not technically gay, you know. I mean, no one has ever thought of this joke before.
  23. There is life after Reborn. In fact I'm making an entire other game after it. I've talked a bit about Starlight here and there, but I haven't said anything about it 'publicly' because I had been planning to keep the project relatively hush-hush until its time came. Incidentally, I've since decided that that is a bad idea. One thing I believe about Reborn is that the only reason it's done half as well as it has is because since, well, not day one, but about week two instead, it's been out in the community receiving constant feedback and critique. I hold this as a design value, so it would be silly to not apply it to Starlight as well. Accordingly, in the near and/or distant future I'll be putting up some concepts in the Nightclub for Ace Members to review and offer criticism on. Doing that happens to necessitate my announcing this project long before I had intended to, and here we are. However, despite this topic appearing now, I want to make it clear that I will not be actively developing Starlight until Pokemon Reborn is finished. Anything between now and then is just prep-work. So, what is Starlight Divide? Starlight Divide is a 2d turn-based tactical RPG about the eternal war between Heaven and Hell. It is not related to Pokemon, nor is it related to Pokemon Reborn, but we will be expanding this site to accommodate and feature the project. While fans of franchises like Fire Emblem, Luminous Arc and Disgaea should feel right at home with Starlight Divide, the project seeks to address some long-standing flaws of the tRPG genre by featuring more active and skillful gameplay in new mechanics. At any rate, given that Reborn still has an additional five (and a half) episodes until its completion, it may be a long time yet before this game sees the starlight of day. I do hope that although it is not directly related to the Reborn you currently know that many of you will stick around and continue to support the community and this new project. Feel free to ask any questions you have, but I may elect not to answer questions regarding the details of Starlight at this time.
  24. Correct, he's definitely pan, but usually prefers boys. Also I've played P4; why do you ask?
