As the lad was rushed towards his foe, he felt now would be the perfect chance to try something out. One of his super secret finishing moves he's been training himself to master. Argos throws his wooden blade into the air and it follows above him as it twirls like a pin wheel standing in strong winds.

"HERE IT GOES! EVERYTHING I'VE GOT!" He bobs underneath the ax and closes into close range and gut punches laguz fighter with his right fist,  "ONE!" Following that up, he gives him a left hook right across the face!  "TWO!" Using the moment from his punch he spins around and back kicks the man sending him face first into a pile of dirt and grass.  "THREE!" Then in perfect timing Argos grabs the hilt of his falling blade with his right hand, resting it on his shoulder. He looks down at the laguz trying to regain his bearings slowly attempting to lift himself.  "INVOKE: OVERLORD REIGN IMPACT!" Argos then brought his blade crashing down onto the before he could even get to his knees. From the impact emerged a a crashing thud as well as a big dirt cloud with chunks of dirt being launched in the air. Once the dust settled, cracks in the dirt could be seen emerging from underneath the unconscious fighter. He was still breathing... I think...

Ceridwen winced a little as the extremely young mage hit the ground, but she was satisfied that at least she had been as gentle as she possibly could be when, you know, trying to subdue somebody with a lance. That was in sharp contrast to Argos, who, well... he would get to see Ceridwen staring at him jaw agape for a moment, before she turned back to the fight at hand -- she was well enough trained to not get too distracted in combat. Instead she ran (reflecting that all this armor was much easier when atop Ynddi) once again into the fray.

Kris still unaware of anything cool or awesome any of the others in the group might have done moved the Focusing Drugs she found into some less convent (aka the convoy) and skips over to the final chest and gets to work unlocking it.

 

Kris moves to AC8 and opens the Chest.

Ceridwen's head jerked to the side as she heard and then saw Naomi and Argos get taken down, and it struck her at once how unfair the situation was. They were getting seriously hurt (damn it, she could never stop herself from feeling like it was her fault, she should have been there) even though she and all the others were trying so hard to hold back. There wasn't anything to do about it, though. So she moved over, just a little bit, to another angle where she could reach the armored one with a javelin, and lightly tossed it -- her target looked to be within an inch of falling down anyway.

Kris grabbed the medicine from the chest before looking back at the tome in her hands "Sorry cutie but i'll need to store you away for a bit. I'll find you a good owner....I already have one in mind but i need to catch up to them first so take a nap." She said to the tome before putting it out of easy reaching distance. Quickly turning on her heels she sprints to catch back up with the group.

Fallon couldn't help but sigh seeing the boy hit the ground. This happens every time he tries one of those "special techniques", doesn't it? The reaction was just delayed in this instance. He really should talk to him about that....However, just as his mind was starting to wander back to when he did something like that a lot, Naomi went down too. "So much for dealing with them quickly and quietly, I guess." he thought as he took out a vulnerary.
