Howdy Folks! Hukuna here! Normally, this is where i would put my forward, however as this is a FEF… l don’t think it needs such an introduction so… let’s get into things shall we?
 

Plot:
The continent of Draestria is a quiet land, full of verdant fields of greens and tranquil forests. it is a land not truly ruled by any central government, Even cities that could have the means of such express no effort to do so. For Draestrians, they enjoy their peace and quiet. The simple life. Lords rule their fiefs, the common folk work for their wage and the peasants farm the land. Simple, easy, effective.  Cities run on the merit of everyone doing their part to keep things smooth. Of course, it’s not perfect. Nothing ever truly is, but it the life they choose to live.


However, a small kingdom is about to find itself in a World of Adventure. In the south lies a small fiefdom of the name, Padstow. A quaint little village if it could even be called that. Padstow, ruled by the old and wise Lord Coel, has always been thoroughly nestled in the gentle rolling hills of the southlands. Coel never had much want to be involved the the dim and droll of the larger world and sought to create a place he, and those he choose to bring into his service, could live in peace. It had worked for a time, but soon they would find themselves right in the thick of plots that threatened their beloved Draestria. Wicked Machinations that would come even to doorstep of Padstow.

Players will play the as the many servants and friends of Lord Coel, and they will be tasked with unraveling the mysteries that threaten their homeland.

Characters will be created at level 1 of the Trainee Classes

Rule Changes:

General:

Spoiler

 

-Sleeping units always wake up when hit.

-People who use staves/performances auto-equip a weapon if they have it in their inventory and can use it.

-Supports and Terrain grant Damage Reduction instead of Defense.

-Hit and Crit rolls are separated.

-Affinities are chosen after character generation. Each player will draw a tarot card of their choosing and it will be removed from the “Deck”. This card will have 1 affinity on it and a second will be rolled randomly (can’t be the same as the one on the card.). The player will then choose the one they wish to have.

-Critical % chance hard-capped at 85.

-Perform, and skills that refresh turns, cannot refresh the turn of units that have one of those skills.

-CON no longer used to determine amount of inventory slots. Every unit have 5 inventory slots, unless special rules are applied ('Bag of Holding' of Rogue class, for example).

-You die when the 'KO' counter goes to 0. Death is permanent.

-Automated Weapon Rank Progression: When you reach Level 10 in First Class, you choose one subcategory, either already ranked or from general category, and it gains 1 Rank up. The same happens when you reach Level 10 in Promoted Class.

-Points placed into HP during Character Creation are worth 2. ((+2 HP for 1, +4 HP for 2.))

 


Skills:

Spoiler

-Center/Imbue (Free): changed that they cannot restore more than 50% of a character’s max HP in 1 turn.


-Discipline is removed as it will be added to all characters.


-Luna is Free, not Cost.


-Maturity’s name is now Aptitude. ((cause the name is shit.))

 

-Parity does not remove the effects of Weapons or Carried items on the user or their foe.

 

-Saviour, in addition to its other effects, gives the user +3 to Aid.

 

-Vantage now triggers when below 50% or lower HP instead of speed. It remains Cost.


New Skills:
 

Spoiler

Aegis(Free): When suffering an attack from, Bows, Hidden Weapons, Tomes, or Dragonstones there is a (Skill+Lck)% chance to reduce the damage dealt by half.

Desperation (Cost): When making an attack, if you are < or = 50% hp, you may make any followup attacks immediately before your opponent counterattacks.

Pavise(Free): When suffering an attack from Swords, Lances, Axes, and Monsters, there is a (Skl+Lck)% Chance to reduce the damage by half.

Rend Heaven (Free): During an attack, you have a (Skl+Lck)% chance to deal damage equal to half your enemy’s Str or Mag Stat based on the type of weapon YOU are wielding. (lf using a physical weapon, calculate with enemy’s Strength. if using a Magical Weapon, calculate using the enemy’s Magic. Weapons capable of both use the stat that targets the same defensive stat as they do.)

Trailblazer (Free): Penalties for moving into forest, desert, deep snow, and hills tiles are reduced by 1. No ill effects from Weather are suffered as well.



Class Changes:

First Classes:

-Bandit: Reckless Strike’s Bonus damage applies to both hits when doubling. And all hits for Brave Weapons.


-Butler/Maid: Live to Serve also applies to Buff Staves, gaining them the same buffs, just at half duration. This unit also receives +3 to their Aid, allowing them to more easily rescue other units.

 

-Cavalier: This class no longer promotes to Duke Knight. It may now promote to Great Knight. Cavalier get Chosen Lance Sub ( C ), Lance (D) and may chose to have Axes or Swords at Chosen Weapon Sub ( C ), Chosen Weapon (D)

-Fencer: Sneaking may also be used with forests, but 1 mov must be used for each space of forest traversed.


-Knight: Hold the Line passively reduces the mov of an enemy who steps into an adjacent tile of the knight to 0.

 

-Pegasus Knight: The Bonuses from Anti-Magic are gained when being attacked by the appropriate units as well..

 

-Pirate: Rapid Strike is removed. In it’s place is Opportunist. “Gain +20 to hit against enemies that are suffering from ailments or 50% or lower HP”

 

-Scavenger: Scavenge Gold now reads, “gain 25 gold for every unique trainee unit, 50 from each unique T1 unit, and 100 gold from each unique T2 unit when attacking. Doubled on Promotion.”


-Shaman: Ancient Gamble’ is removed. Instead they gain 'Anthropomancy': Whenever this character lands the final blow on an enemy, they gain +10 to Evade and Dodge, +3 to Damage Reduction, and +3 to Con. At the end of every turn one third of the bonus is removed, starting with Damage Reduction and Con, then Dodge and finally Evade. This ability does not stack with itself, but is refreshed when dealing the final blow to another enemy.

 

-Soldier: Anti-Cavalry does not cancel the enemy’s Weapon Triangle Advantage. ((clearing that up not sure if actual change lol.))


-Troubadour: Physical Training only grants +5 to Strength and Magic growths. This does not stack with Aptitude.


-Wyvern Rider: Dragon Scales does not confer a bonus to resistance. It is now +6 Def. Wyvern Rider have Axes rather than Lances. All their Promos reflect this.

Promoted Classes:
-Bounty Hunter: A Bounty Hunter can increase their proficiency in any weapon as if they had E-rank proficiency.


-Crusader: Crusaders may use their action to change the designated class type they gain advantage against. This may be used up to 3 times. ((the first use for the map is free.))


-Duke Knight: This class is removed.


-Great Knight: Now Promotes from Cavalier!


-Nomad Healer: Class name changed to Adventurer. Medicine Man is now called, “improvised Medicine”.


-Paladin: No longer gains Nullify, and instead gains Aegis. They gain Jousting from Duke Knights. They have the same weapons as they chose while a Cavalier (( Chosen Lance Sub (A), Lance (B). Chosen Weapon Sub (A), Chosen Weapon (B). ))


-Sentinel: Gains Gamble. If you already have that skill, gain another Free Skill.


-Summoner: Are not allowed as Summon is not defined therefore they cannot actually be run. lt will be replaced by Dark Knight.


-Shadow Sword: lf the Shadow Sword kills their Mark they may mark a new target at the start of their next turn. Otherwise they may spend an action to set up another. This may be used up to 2 times in addition to the first.


-Wanderer: Bargain is removed.

 

-Wyvern Hunter: Has access to Axes rather than Lances. Pierce’s name has been changed to Butcher.((still does the same thing though just… like… axe no pierce usually.))

Payday: The Great Merchant has a (Lck)% chance during their movement or upon defeating a foe to find a Gold Bar. This is an item that has no effects other than being worth 200 Gold at a shop. Great Merchant’s have 1 extra inventory slot so long as lt contains a Gold Bar and nothing else.
 

Spendthrift: if the Great Merchant is in possession of a Gold Bar in their inventory they may choose to expend it to deal +5 Damage and gain 5 Damage Reduction for their next Combat. The Use must be declared when attacking. The first use of this ability in a chapter is free.

Promotion Bonuses: HP +2, STR +2, MAG +0, SKL +2, LUC +3, DEF +3, RES +0, SPD +0, CON +3, AID +3, MOV 6

Gaiden Chapters:

Gaiden Chapters are probably a decently familiar concept to some of you but for the uninitiated, Gaiden Chapters are secret chapters within the campaign. They are typically earned by doing some optional side mission hidden in one of the normal chapter maps. They are an optional chapter that explores other parts of the world or plots that are tangentially related to the main plotline. Due to their optional nature these maps will not reward exp or items in the typical fashion.

 

Gaiden Chapters only give exp enough for a level at the end of the map if it is completed. Any item drops from enemies or chests are only credited to inventory at upon successful completion as well. ((though you are allowed to use them to help complete the map.)). If the map is failed, players revert to the state they were in before attempting the map and may not attempt it again.

Gaiden Chapters will be harder than your typical story map and will possibly have some strange mechanics. You’ve been warned! ((Further, it will be called out when you can access a Gaiden Chapter, so don’t worry about that.))

Please submit sheets to me via pm on Discord or Reborn for approval before posting them in thread. Sheets not following this rule will be thrown out and not considered. ((even if you then submit by PM. i may also not consider new sheets you create after doing so. So please PLEASE PLEEEEEEASE don’t break this rule.))

Further, submit to me a backstory for your character via pm as well. However, >>> DO NOT <<< include this in your public sheet posted to this thread. This is meant to remain secret. I will have to disqualify sheets that do not follow this rule.

Do not pick your Tarot Card until your character is accepted into the RP proper. I will be randomly choosing the order players may pick after all the characters are selected for the RP.

Howdy folks~ This was put out on the Reborn FEF Discord earlier however it's important this message reach all players.
