  1. Haha....he "used" them^^ as fodder, yeah....that called abusing, not using XD Jokes aside though, he should really start to train a few more Pokémon soon, or else, nuzlocke or not, he's not gonna make it much further.....
  2. hahaha, yeah.....5 people not capable to finish Aya and Bennet with a full team of 6 per player, and TTar, who is just confused for life, just be like "meh, hold mah beer, imma firin ma laZ0rZ" XD
  3. I am fully aware of that, however, going by what Cass said i think this is supposed to mean Reborn will get a multiple save file system similar to that of Rejuv. I asked Ame about that a while ago and she also said that this may be put into consideration once the more important things are done first...
  4. One thing would be of interest though.....i haven't played sword and shield, nor will i ever do it, but aren't there some Pokémon that have special dynamax forms? What was it called? Gigantamax? Since Ep 13 will feature the new Gen 8 Pokémon, i assume it will also include all new moves, abilities and galarian forms. Does that mean you'll add those Gigantamax forms (or whatever they are called) as new Mega Evolutions instead?
  5. Yeah, and he pulled that 3 Pokémon stunt just to cheat the death roulette....makes the whole death roulette kinda....useless, or rather......pointless, if he can just go and say "but i don't want to lose these Pokémon, so i swap them out in time before the roulette....."
  6. A multiple save file system would be really nice. Rejuvenation has one as well, so i guess you can borrow that? Only question is how much work is it to actually implement that. To be honest, i always wanted multiple save files even when i still played the official games, but yeah....we all know that didn't happen.....at least not up to Ultra Sun/Moon....and i'm not planning to get Sword/Shield, so i don't know about that XD
  7. Yeah well.....he lost to Fern as well when he arrived at Aya's gym......FERN of all people....That's like getting beaten up by Hercule (or Mr. Satan in the original japanese version) when you are as strong as Son-Goku
  8. Yeah, if he's just gonna try and cheat the roulette what's the point of doing that in the first place? This may come off as very rude, but i really hope the roulette hits one of his core members instead of the "fodder" Pokémon. Like i said, i'll laugh so hard if it hits Debbie. Nah, Debbie's gonna die to the roulette, because karma is a b*tch and doesn't like people who try to cheat on the roulette XD Also....i've been thinking....About Pulse Abra that is....So all the Pokémon Team Meteor uses for their Pulse Machines are stolen from somewhere? Did they steal that Abra from Lance?
  9. The dude is as confused as ever....I'm still going with my theory that he got hit with Confuse Ray as a child and the damage was permanent... So instead of just training up more than 6 Pokémon (like every sane person would do if they saw that some of their team members won't do a thing in the upcoming gym) he instead decides to drop 3 of his core Members into the PC and take 3 random Pokémon with him so he can cheat the roulette for the start of the next episode? I'm calling punishment, because we all know that karma is a b*tch.....I'll laugh so hard if it hits Debbie XD That aside we're about to get some good old TTar panic attacks cause next up is "Dr. Geezer" as Cain would put it, as well as the Meteor hideout, Steelix on steroids and Sir Abra the armored knight of Hyper Beams.....
  10. While you are picking up your pitchforks and torches to start the witch TTar hunt, pls don't forget to remind him that he can get EXP Share in Spinel Town. Maybe @DreamblitzX should try to get through to him on that, and tell him how to get it step by step, since it would help TTar a lot in terms of leveling new additions to the team.
  11. Dai Laughing startet his Nuzlocke in August 2016. At that point the game should have been at EP15, since EP16 was released in December 2016 And yeah, the rivals had B/W starters instead of S/M because the game did only go up to Gen 6, which would be X/Y and OR/AS. Also you might notice that some Pokémon had sprites that were a lot different from what they are now. And of course gym leaders and other important characters had slightly different Pokémon on their team. And i can tell you from personal experience that beating the gym leaders was a different experience than it is today. Some people say that a lot of gym leaders got nerfed over the episodes. I'd like to think of it as adjusting the difficulty curve to match the point in game you're currently at...
  12. You can see some of the changes between earlier versions of Reborn and EP18 by just looking at some Let's Plays or Nuzlockes on Youtube. Some of them date back to Ep15 i think....There has been quite a lot of change to the game over time. Gen 6 and 7 were implemented, Pulse Pokémon became something like a "dark mega evolution", which was different before Gen 6 was a thing..... I have to admit that while i am a member of this forum only since april this year, i have played Reborn for a way longer time than that, but i was never the type to use forums at all back then. To be honest i don't even remember at which episode i started, but if memory serves right it was before Gen 6 was implemented.... It's really awesome how far this game has come since then.....what was it? April 2012, when Version 1 of the game launched? All the more reason to be hyped for EP19.... For some reason i hope that TTar won't make it through the game before the EP19 release, so he can update the game and properly finish it. But i guess i'm hoping for too much here XD
  13. Also "Am i recording?" How does that dude never know whether he's recording or not? I swear, somewhere in the past there was a Confuse move aimed at one of his Pokémon, but it hit him instead and did permanent damage to his brain. Now he's confused for life^^ But yeah....With his current team he'll have LOTS of fun with Serra....
  14. Generally speaking i'd say that the one factor that makes Aya more difficult to fight would be the same factor that makes Shelly more difficult to fight as well: The double battle! Sure, you have 2 Pokémon on the field, but you also have to watch out for the moves of 2 enemy Pokémon. And while double battles allow you to use some combinations that would never work in single battle, it also limits some of the things you would usually do in a single battle....like spamming Earthquake or Surf XD
  15. Oh boy, your second part of the walkthrough review is the polar opposite of the first part XD But since you are new to the game let me give you a bunch of advice. The first thing you should always keep in mind is that Reborn may seem to be unfair at certain points, but it never really is unfair at all. The core principle of Reborn is the fact that the game gives you strong opponents that will give you a real challenge. But Reborn will also always provide you with the Pokémon you need to overcome any obstacles without. Yes, a certain amount of grinding will be unavoidable, but not so much that it would affect the experience in a negative way. Yes, you will certainly need more than just 6 Pokémon in order to beat the game, but that doesn't mean you have to train 50+ Pokémon. Reborn gives you some really good Pokémon very early on. Some of them are heavily underestimated by many players. Your Butterfree for example should have been able to sweep half of Florinias gym by itself, with only Cradily and Ferroseed being a problem. Both of those could have easily been knocked out by a Mankey or a Makuhita. Both of those can be found in the Obsidia Slums, the same place you caught your Pancham. Makuhita also would have been able to evolve to Hariyama at Level 24, which is 1 level beneath the cap at that point. But instead of me just trying to make a point here i can lend you a hand if you like. Ask me for advise whenever you need help, and i'll try to help you out.
  16. Yeah well, if he just starts using the Pokémon now that had "died" in Season 1 due to nuzlocke rules, what was the point of nuzlocking in the first place? I mean, sure, let him do as he likes. It's nice to see that he finally admitted that just playing a normal playthrough can be fun as well. On your first playthrough Reborn is enough of a challenge as it is, even without nuzlocking. That's why people have been telling him to not nuzlocke Reborn since the first episode....
  17. Aaaaand he's up to it again.....and yes, that "Pokémon 2 of Episode Reborn" made me giggle XD Sooo, he beat Aya, made it up to Yureyu Building and now senpai has to be gentle....although Cain would probably love it anyway even if things got a little rough XD And of course Death Roulette....Will he do it at the start of the next episode, or at the end?
  18. I have another recommendation for you. In the Lower Peridot Ward there is a house that leads to a "hidden" garden. There you can capture Caterpie. If you haven't been there yet, it's a house west of the train tracks leading north, and there is an old man you have to battle first to get access to the garden. Trust me if i tell you that Butterfree is kind of a real live saver for the early game, and even pretty useful in mid to late game. Moves like Gust and Confusion to begin with, and later on things like Bug Buzz, Psychic and Air Slash. Also 3 Powder moves early on and Quiver Dance at higher level.
  19. Well, one thing is for sure though: If he had continued the nuzlocke, this would have been a very short second season XD Jokes aside, now i'm really interested to see what kind of "special rules" he will add to the run over the course of the upcoming episodes. A roulette to throw out a random team member every few episodes sounds like fun, since you do know you will lose one for sure, but you don't know which one it's gonna be.
  20. Money is not an issue if you got a Pokémon with the Pickup ability on your team. And since Reborn doesn't have EV training rooms like Rejuvenation has (at least as far as i know), raising your EV by using vitamin items would certainly do the trick. That, or making use of the sandbox mod which offers special trainers for decent EV training.
  21. I think rather than people creating mods for him he would have more need of someone telling him all the places where he still got some encounters left to catch new Pokémon. That guy has kept a shortage of Pokéballs for a long time and avoided lots of possible encounters, so those are still open to him, and he should use them before he continues with the game.... Also about that whole nuzlocke or not thing: Yes, he would get to enjoy the story a lot more if he just quit the nuzlocke and played a normal run, since he wouldn't need to worry about his Pokémon dropping dead left and right. And he will certainly lose a lot of Pokémon from now on if he keeps the nuzlocke going. But watching him struggle not to lose any Pokémon does have a high entertainment value. And since even Ame herself told him that this battle against Solaris is one you are supposed to lose (even though it certainly IS possible to win), he should just do what all LP's would do in that case: Don't count it as a loss, don't count any deaths and go on like this battle never happened.
  22. Budewdrop Hotel? That a real thing? I have neither played Sword/Shield, nor have i watched Let's plays, and i intend to keep it that way..... But in case that thing really exists.....NO! Just.......NO! I heard somewhere that vitamin items were changed in Gen 8 and that is about the only Gen 8 thing that i would like to see in Ep19...
  23. So he tried until he beat him^^ I hope we get Season 2 soon XD
