  1. Sheridan, one of the lower houses in the village
  2. Personally I didn't find woobat or natu too helpful for this one since air cutter/slash get additional grass typing on the field, so the pignite/combusken will still take neutral damage. I grabbed a fearow instead which gets aerial ace, not affected by the field, as well as mirror move which you can turn against the Lucario's gale strike for at least neutral damage, and big damage if it's low hp. After that, standard double battle strategy: try to neutralize one mon as much as possible with a para/burn or dropping atk/spatk, and completely ignore it for the rest of the fight. Scraggy is a great choice since Keta leads with it and doesn't do all that much damage.
  3. A pretty accessible strategy is to bait out the z-move with a ghost or psychic type, and either toxic or curse with said ghost type turn 1, then stall out with protect/switch-outs. Trevenant is a great option due to getting all 3 of protect/leech seed/curse in its movepool. You will likely have to put a quick claw or focus sash on it though since you'll be getting outsped without it. Aside from that, misty terrain shuts down the ralts and kirlia, and if you don't have that, putting a chesto berry on everything helps too. Really just wait until the gardevoir goes down, then there's no damage to worry about.
  4. Probably the two hardest fights for me, across many playthroughs, have been Zetta + Geara on top of Valor Mt, and Narcissa's gym. The former is mainly just because the field complements their teams so well, when so far you've really only had to deal with fields that benefit a monotype gym leader in some way. When you can use one move to change a field and it completely cripples the leader's strategy, and have a reliable type resist on top of that, that tends to end whatever challenge has been designed. Zetta and Geara, however, actually have diverse teams that aren't completely neutered by one field-changing move- they can benefit from basically any field you can imagine fighting on. Fighting a typhlosion on top of a volcano is always a great way to get destroyed, using dig to change it to a cave can easily let shell smash Minior sweep you, using bounce to change to a sky field opens you up to Thunder Clefable and weakness policy dragonite rampaging through your team... there's really no easy way out. Narcissa, however- haunted field can only be changed into blessed, and vice versa, and since spectral scream changes blessed into haunted, there's no way to permanently get rid of the threat the field creates. Add to that how the field essentially requires you to fight fire with fire (er, ghost with ghost), and how she won't hesitate to stall you out with will-o-wisp and pain split, and it's basically a crapshoot as to whether or not you'll have what you need in the earlygame to actually get through. Angie used to give me a lot of trouble until I realized you can easily neuter her entire strategy by having one mon click lava plume and immediately following it up with a pyukumuku's purify. After that you may be fighting a 4v6, sure, but you can stack enough type advantages against her to power through when there's no field at all. Ryland has never really given me trouble- 2/3rds of his team is weak to ground, and dig is boosted by the field, so toss a telluric seed on a moxie krookodile and you're good to go. Maybe it's different in intense mode, though, I've never made it that far in an intense playthrough.
  5. ANA quest begins via the Missing Children help center quest in GDC. Zorrialyn Labyrinth can be explored without doing any other sidequests before it, but the bulk of it (with the spiciest rewards) comes with part 4 of the Hidden Library sidequest, which requires HL 1-3 as prerequisites.
  6. Some more specifics would be helpful, but I'm guessing you're referring to one of the Kristiline Town help quests? If you know where to look, talk to every NPC in those areas.
  7. Might not be the thread for this, but fn+arrow keys replaces pgup/pgdown functions for me for scrolling through maps while flying. Could be worth it to give that a shot, I'm playing on a macbook.
  8. My favorite line of the game award has gotta go to "Tell that to my boney Japanese ass!"
  9. For the parts of Nim's team that aren't Solrock/Lunatone, I'd suggest picking up a Simple Swoobat from the Gearen sewers if you're still stuck. Won't be able to touch the Solrock/Lunatone, but Calm Mind in psychic field with Simple takes you to +4/+4 in one turn, which is nuts. If you're worried about rock slide ohko'ing, you might be able to tempt some psywaves instead with your other mon being fighting or poison, which Swoobat resists. Swoobat is even more helpful for another fight against Nim later on, when you can teach it shadowball by TM and wipe her field one by one after a single calm mind.
  10. These are amazing! My favorite has gotta be Eli and Sharlene. Shannon particularly looks just like I imagined.
  11. Erick fights on a water surface field, right? Either that or a murky surface. So I think all ground moves are nullified to begin with, even like mud-slap and such. Yeah, best bet is probably to freeze the field over with blizzard first, then a second field-changing move so you can freely EQ spam. If you caught the shadow vanillite way back when, it gets blizzard by levelup. Also, give Cheri berries to as many team members as possible since Thunderpulse seems to have a 100% paralysis rate.
  12. Nah, definitely works, it's the "add item" option in the debug menu.
  13. I had issues finding the right thread too, maybe this will help someone: It's the v11 one, but it works fine for v12, as long as you make sure you save in a spot that didn't change between v11 and v12 before enabling it. Gearen lab is safe, for example, but I wouldn't try to do so anywhere around Zone Zero. And yeah, with great power comes great responsibility, yadda yadda. Resist the urge to plop a mega ring and some related stones into your bag, it'll make your playthroughs a lot less fun if you do.
  14. Madame X and Nastasia would agree with you, I'm fairly sure that's why he was recruited to Team Xen in the first place.
  15. I'm digging the Reina-is-Crescent theory. Crescent seems to be a pure psychic trainer- Gothitelle, "Dranna" the Mewtwo, and... and Reina's "ace" being Swoobat adds to that. Though Reina also having a Honchkrow and Rimbombee in the one time we fight her doesn't exactly support that. Or maybe Crescent is just gonna be one of the elite 8, given the monotype and how powerful she's made to be.
  16. I'm just holding out for the hope that v13 will finally be the update where Truckguy becomes a romance option Oh, and this a suuuuper minor thing, but also hoping for the field to be changed for some of the later-game audino trainers. Secret power putting you to sleep 30% (?) of the time can be quite tedious when you're trying to do a 1-85 grind.
  17. I can see Saki with a Duraludon if we get her gym in V13. Steel/dragon type maybe with some kind of field/seed nullifying ground-type attacks.
  18. Here I am having hatched 250 Larvesta eggs, in preparation for v13, with no shiny to speak of. But after seeing what shiny volc does look like... definitely just got re-motivated to keep at it.
  19. Doom Desire also isn't working for me- I think the game is re-randomizing it when it's supposed to deal damage. In-game message says "(pokemon name) took the Milk Drink attack!"
  20. Random NPC in Reborn City: "My patrat is the most powerful patrat in the whole world!" >Sends out a Groudon ...I'm inclined to agree
  21. This is honestly something that I feel like has been missing from Reborn for a while. By lategame you normally have enough tools available to work around most things that would have been a serious roadblock earlier on, like quick claw + perish song or prankster destiny bond. If this 'additional bullshit' takes steps to continue the same level of challenge that earlygame was... hooo boy this is gonna be fun.
  22. The key for me was catching a Sableye from Voidal Chasm directly beforehand. Gliscor, Torterra, and Excadrill were the only mons I was having trouble with, all physical attackers, and Prankster Sableye was the key to taking each of them down... because for some reason the Sableyes in Voidal Chasm have Strength Sap. Which is kinda illegal, but ok. TM'ed Will-o-wisp, relearned knock off and mean look in Sheridan, and just stalled until those 3 burned to death. I think I used Amnesia Palossand to take care of the special attackers after the other 3 went down. Sableye also carried hard in the Adam gym battle. All but 1 physical attacker (Aurorus), so once T-tar went down, more of the same. Kinda cheesy, but I don't like being required to change the field to pass a battle, so yeah.
  23. Looking for assistance on a certain sidequest: I'll attach my savefile below, but all I'm really trying to do is get that last stamp. Wouldn't mind at all if someone was just able to give a +1 to the stamp counter (or however the game tracks it) and leaves it at that. Game.rxdata copy
