Wait, where exactly in the desert can we find the prologue house? The mysterious house below Sashilla is the one Crescent was sitting at, was it not? At Valor Mountain when she saves us from death?- 833 replies

Theory Crafting Thread
Feng Lei replied to enderowl's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
I've been thinking this exact thing! It would suddenly explain the involvement of seemingly two Garufa. A technological one, and a truely magical one. Things are not as they seem. . . If Maria is in the crystal... then maybe the 4 children are the result of extracting pieces of her personality, or something. I got no clue at this point. Because that is WEIRD. Here's a thought that's been nagging me: exactly when did Chrysalis Mansion events take place for us while we were there? Could it have been post-calamity after all? We know it got turned into a hotel somehow... and Chrysalis makes me think of Yveltal. But it could have referred to Maria in her crystal prison.- 833 replies

Theory Crafting Thread

Rorrin B.: Am I a joke to you? _ ___ _ _ _ _ _ The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced We have it ALLLLL wrong. Anathea is the Archetype. She has a keyhole on the back of her neck, for Arceus' cold sake! That's how she can talk in the Athenium. Although that also makes it reaaaally confusing as to how she can be in the soul stone.... but that keyhole makes me think. Issue is, I do not appreciate at all the twist that this is all just some over-zealous corperation from a futuristic past's shenenigans. It's obvious what's going on: the King and Queen story, my favorite part of any pokemon game, is a lie. they were just members of the company who had differing ideas about the application of their nanotech. Some created nano-animal abominations (pokemon), and others became abominably powerful (Angie, Indriad and who knows how many others). Even the Interceptors that are literally fighting DESTINY are just the result of some advanced power conducting black lightning rods in the ground... built by a corperation that has really weird taste in architecture. It's like some kind of bizarre blend. Hopefully we get the explanation this stuff is part of some kind of alternate timeline stuff... maybe Erin is on to something when she says the past they visited with Vivian was not the past, but somehow the future... but the tech stuff remains... the Garufa were so cool when they were more ominously magic, rather than some kind of lifeforce draining nanite... whatever they are in reality. But aaaaanyway... Anathea may just be an android, or she was the real mother of Adrest or something. I bring all this griping up about the High-tech, because it absolutely DESTROYS any cohesive (and simpler theories I had...) Right now it seems like the Archetype kids are Maria split into 4, though it just as well be Isiah brain wiped both mother and daughter and left it so Melia as Maria didn't remember, and neither did poor Anathea. That would indicate, abstractly, that the golden being talking to Erin and Melia in the Athenium was actually Arceus. It's referred to as a mother, but we know only that the Prime Arceus was male. The pieces were probably two female and a male, just as how there are three sisters and one brother amongst the Four. Right now, the more I think on it, it seems like the Archetype is no longer Indriad's goal. He got what he wanted and he did something later on after having it. My guess is hechose to ensure it, and Nymiera, could no longer endanger his plans, and so scattered the Archetype Triforce style. And hten went on to destroy everything else. What's troubling me about this little theory is that none of the children according to Isiah's records had blonde hair, including Anathea. It's like that record was made in another timeline altogether. Perhaps the first one? Or maybe the Archetype was found by Indriad later, somehow, and he put it into Anathea and then had children with her, in the hopes perhaps it would seep into her children to provide powerful sacrifices... You know what? Another, perhaps more humanizing thought about Indriad: he erased his own memories about his other three children. Maybe he feared what he was "destined to become". Or could become. We know Gardevoir remained with him until her end, and he seemed to love Anathea and Maria. Seems to me that perhaps he legitimately tried "this" time, in the game's main events, and in order to ensure this he hid some of his children, sealing them away, along with their power. Only Maria remained, perhaps due to being the favored child, or possibly because of other reasons (she was the strongest light-embraced and so COULDN'T be sealed, or the like?). Would make him out to be more human and would explain some seemingly senseless choices of his right about now. My opinion as of this time is he's the pure Evil of the prophesy of darkness. He displays the other three sins of prejudice, greed and treachery (Can't remember all of the right now, of COURSE). He's purest evil. So perhaps he went to drastic, and earnest, measures to change at the last, like Nymiera thought. Until that fateful Tangrowth swing... T-though Aelita's memories indicate freya was responsible for that somehow, so... I dunno. Anybody got a reason why she was at the mansion?- 833 replies

Mega Aggron crushes the Glassworks factory gauntlet. Honestly disappointed me. I wanted more of a challenge. Thankfully Commander is with us and gave me the much nastier version of it in Redux. It's funny though, because I found Rejuvenation much harder than Reborn, at least post Episode 16 Reborn. (I think the AI for that ep in my game especially was just somehow smarter, not sure. And E17 changed team rosters). Hard Rejuv in the beginning was MURDER for me, though. My replay of that was difficult up until the end of Terajuma, though there's still plenty of dire struggle boss fights near the end... I'd say I prefer Rejuv, if it weren't for certain plot points that are revealed near the end that... do NOT work for me. AT ALL. And Reborn literally saved my life. I would not be anywhere anymore if I hadn't discovered Reborn when I did. I was on my last wisps of ether like mist in the midday sun. It came at the last moment, and well, saved me from the darkest stages of depression when nothing else could. Thank God for Reborn! Amethyst did amazing work. Desolation still got best potential though. And it's Baaaaack~ And absolutely gollygosh yes! Ttar MUST play Rejuv. He will have FITS over his wild theories. Though let's hope he doesn't decide to include Shade. Or it will be a running gag that exhausts his imagination. I can already hear him. "It's SHADE!'s origin story!" Though at the same time, I can imagine him doing this with Indriad. Funny, because that would likely lead to some legit theorizing.

Should I give this game another chance?
Feng Lei replied to HAWmaro's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Definitely try to replay it. I didn't like Melia either, but my word, when I replayed it again over the past two months... it was like a totally different game. There are parts I don't like, and they should be polished, but most of those are near the latest content. And frankly, with the sidequests and what they add to the game, it's definitely worth a retry. It's also BEAUTIFUL. The game's art is EVERYTHING I could ever, ever, ever have asked for, what I dreamed of as a 12 year old for the next pokemon to look like, only to be broken by the HATED Diamond&Pearl games (Snarls viciously). *Coughs* Anyway, Rejuvenation is worth playing for its art alone. What's better is that the story is now not only bearable, but actually very enjoyable now, to the point I'm considering a second playthrough, and it is a LONG game. And the SIDEQUESTS. I cannot reccomend the sidequests more. Most don't involve Melia at all, too, so win-win. -
Flying from Terrial
Feng Lei replied to Feng Lei's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Yep I just figured it out. Though the train still does not return to the stadium if I leave it. I'm using a save file before I beat Adam. That works... -

And I have a new problem on top of it. Apparently the train won't go back to the stadium now... I ended up on Route 9 trying to see if somehow I could change maps like in Gold and Silver by going to the map edge and surfing or something... but chose instead to go to Oblitus. Alas... well, now the train either gives me the options of "Nowhere, Granddream Station or Route 9...." -
Flying from Terrial

That's what I thought. But... it's not working. It just pans the square to whatever edge of the map I direct. Clearly I'm missing something... -
Maybe I'm an idiot, but... I've been following the 100% walkthrough thus far, and just got to Death of One, Birth of Another. The guide indicates I can fly back to Gearen. But I have absolutely no idea how. Fly does not bring up a map letting me navigate anything but the Terrial region... and the trains are down due to Bladestars glorious attack. (All Hail Bladestar. Down with the Pyramid! Down with the Blakeories!) Anyway, I need to know how to fly. My beloved Flora has given me orders to go about helping people in Bladestar's name, and spread its hallowed message. But I cannot accomplish this holy and devout task until I can get to East Gearen. How might I accomplish this now? It would not do to leave the quests of the Floria region unattended. . .

Rejuvenation Needed!
Feng Lei replied to Feng Lei's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Ummm.... yeah, there is a crystal. But there is literally no way to progress beyond the room just after the big barricade wall Saki smashes. It's an empty pit. Let me check again. -
My Mt. Valor is probably bugged, or I'm an idio.....oh. Oh. Ok, maybe I'm definitely the idiot. Question: how do I change the BIG crystals in Mt. Valor? I finished the main story arc there, but can't get back up because the big crystals refuse to light up. They are a dull grey color. . . and I cannot interact with them at all. Is there some kind of powder I need to use. The words "Emotion Powder" just drifted through my mind when I just started typing. So... help? This is not related, but I was wondering if there's a way to change difficulty to intense? I think I may keep things on normal, but I'd been interested in switching back to intense since Narcissa, only find that was no longer possible when I tried. I hear people like me are out of Luck, literally. Game.rxdata

YES! YES absolutely yes! I theorized for this years ago! And they all mocked! But we will be right in the end. Who uses "x" anyway for their gender? That's totally dumb. Madame X will likely sue. Team Xen wants to know if she obtained copyright permission! (Is playing Rejuv right now.) But seriously, the Xe stands for Xenocide. Just watch. The ENTIRE purpose of the riddles and questions in the Citidae Astrae was al about hidden darkness, right? Hahahah! And who looks like a good character we meet right then and there? Adrienn! Adrienn is in fact the mastermind working with Lin. It's their nefarious plan! "Xe" just wants to fix everything up after it was already destroyed and ruined because xe wanted to destroy it xeirself. Xe is a sadistic madxan. Xe dangerous. Xe is probably possessed of Giratina. Or something worse. Do. Not. Trust. Xem. In other news, this episode was lit. I could feel his hype. And him finding Indra at last was a weight off my shoulders I didn't know was there. He finally proved he has eyes... and I admit he is doing far better than I ever did at Devon Corp. Didn't realize I needed to press A to change the panels... then again maybe I did pretty darn well with like... Clefable alone.

I like the dragon part, but not the water... dunno why. Maybe it's obvious? But I want a good challenge regardless, and water would have interesting options. Maybe it has Lightning Rod as an ability...
-
I think the inclusion of Magby and Elekid for me is not just about difficulty, but actually more about how their duo felt more... I don't know, iconic. The two Rockruffs just don't feel quite as special. . . so there's clearly some "canon" reasoning in my own thinking I guess, or nostalgia, rather. I would rather vehemently argue Victoria receiving Emboar back though. It really, really suited her.
-
Hearing Redux won't get fit into hard mode because of canon teams is... rather ironic, since you devs, however otherwise amazing, did in fact change the teams for Gen 7 mons, making them overall less fun. Specifically Aster and Eclipse. I miss, dearly miss, their Elekid and Magby. That was a highlight fighting those two up until their final stages. And pretty much all of the teams of E16, frankly. And with all the work Commander's done... not that I know anything of programming to deserve a word I type be minded for two seconds, but wouldn't that mean he's basically handing more or less completed team changes already? And yes, a Stunfisk would be a nightmare. But I still prefer the horror of Togedemaru.

Ok, so my scripts file looks significantly different in gemini than yours. In it, there is no settings at the top. There's also no RGSS2Compatibility, for what that is worth, among several other things. What is there is also in a different order. Here are some pics.
-
Wow! Thanks for the quick reply to help! I really appreciated it. But, from what I can tell, settings just doesn't show. I'll try it again right now and see, using your pick as a guide this time.
-
So I ended up downloading gemini for this. Now, my confusion is with settings. Where do I find it? There doesn't appear to be such a thing in the scripts.rxdata. Where do I write $DEBUG=true ? That's the part that's getting me right now.
-
And I'm back. glad whomst'd've'n't is still working on this. I got the hinkering (is that even a thing) to try this again. However, this time I'm finding issue with following my own steps and those DreamblitzX proposed to me. Specifically, I cannot open Reborn 18.2 in RPG Maker XP. This is a problem because I cannot get to the scripts file to add $DEBUG=true. So frustrating. But Queen Shelly appeared in my dreams and told me I MUST buff her Yanmega. In fact she even ordered me to buff ALL Yanmega, everywhere! Please! Someone help me! I must obey the Queen!

Oh I have no interest nor was it my intention to mention such a trope! It would be abhorrent and heretical for me! But my point is that Giratina is actually Lin's goal. Because she is all about power. And if she's so violent, it matches with her being associated with Giratina rather than an infant Arceus (Assuming she wasn't just trolling us with that line. Lin is a troll). And yes, absolutely yes to your words on Ubers. I would be very disappointed fighting something like Dialga on the Elite Four just because it's difficult. But Lore-wise, I see it as you do. The Legendary Birds are fine. They always felt like... well, "legendary", just really rare and powerful animals like the other pokemon, and not "I AM THE gOD OF TIME!" stuff. It works in Reborn, but only if I'm not catching it. Which is one reason I dare hope Arceus is never actually fought properly in a "perfect" or true state. Because it should literally be the God of Pokemon, untouchable in the most strict and literal sense. Maybe a vestige or something. Anyway, the Birds, Dogs and Regis feel fine to me. Regis especially since the anime has kinda made it clear there's lots of them out there. Speaking of vestige, maybe this New World stuff IS the distortion world, somehow? The remnants of creation? Wasn't there something about that in Platinum? I seem to recall it being in the film about Giratina at least. Maybe that really is Lin's goal and the Arceus meteor is all just a means to an end. And Shade, being a Ghost Trainer, is actually trying to stop Giratina because he understands the profound danger. He just also happens to have a creepy smile that puts people off.
-
It may be that in the Ideal route, he and Laura will side together for a double-Elite Four battle. Whereas in the Truth route, it will be one or the other, depending on choices we made? Perhaps Benette being told the right answer at the Glass Factory will trigger a different outcome? I could see Lin killing him to be honest. Though that is as likely as anyone else dying at this point. The more I think of her, the more I feel like Lin is trying to free Giratina and Arceus is just in the way. I don't know. That passage in the Subseven Sanctum about "The Darkest Beast lies at Light's End." just sounds so epic. It would be awesome and an amazing twist if maybe Lin IS Giratina, through some proxy. Or perhaps she and Shade are working together, with the latter being the proxy. And their goal is actually a good one: stop the eternal time-loop or at least complete it. But to do that they had to reach the goal by hard decisions. Or something. Possibilities abound. But all this conjecture does one thing for sure: HYPE! I am hyped for 19. But also sad. Knowing this will finally end. Also, Merry Christmas to Reborn's devs! Thank you for updating the AI! It was my biggest complaint and one of the key features of the game that I most anticipated getting fixed or at least addressed in some way. THANK YOU! It is a present well wished for!
-
I'm one of those who prefer the Elite Four to be literally the ELITE FOUR strongest trainers. So I'd be cool with it. Of all battles that should have all Ubers...
